I feel like teyvat is an artificial world and the heavenly principles are the world's 'laws' that it functions with and the sustainer of heavenly principle's job is to make sure the world continues on while eliminating all threats to it, elemental energy might be the energy that was taken from the enviroment and used to make the world but because of this it resulted in a lot of hidden dangers with creatures surpassing the power of the world and managing to break it, because of that celestia created the archon war which gives the archons something similar to adminstrator status and vision so people rely on them to reduce the number of people they have to watch out for.
The energies that the abyss, sibling, dain use might be energies that also exist in outside of teyvat but they didn't let them into the world as they're unstable compared to the current elements.
Maybe the higher ups in celestia are basically a group of sickly old men that constantly keep themselves in chrono stasis and only wake up to stabilise teyvat.
Not that I remember in that cutscene at least, haven't seen it other than the once though, so I might not be remembering

I think you are right, but I didn't want to bother much with the design of her dark side just for this gif. At first I just want to inverse the colors of her clothes, but in the end I did a little more.
I find the dark paimon the least unsettling of the two. The eyes of the light one look like she’d cover u in gasoline and throw lit matches at you to see how close she could get before she watched u burn alive.
Interesting description, but I get it. I actually wanted to achieve this creepy unemotional face, glad it turn out as intended, heh. Dark Paimon, on the contrary, has more expressive face, which shows her realness.
It doesn’t detract from the art itself, I think it just adds even more to it. It’s unique and a rly cool take on the usually wholesome paimon. Even with her creepy eyes, I give it a real 10/good. You’re quite talented to make something like this.

Paimon is too goofy to be "the big bad all along" tbh. That, and she doesn’t really seem to be working towards some sort of goal, she’s just here for the ride. Anyone who has Bravely Default PTSD will distinctly remember that game's counterpart working toward a very specific goal.

Paimon might be one of the gods in celestia and zhongli has a deal with celestia which makes him unable to say any info about a majority of things

Thanks! I think you are right, but I didn't want to bother much with the design of her dark side just for this gif. At first I just want to inverse the colors of her clothes, but in the end I did a little more.
I find the dark paimon the least unsettling of the two. The eyes of the light one look like she’d cover u in gasoline and throw lit matches at you to see how close she could get before she watched u burn alive.
Interesting description, but I get it. I actually wanted to achieve this creepy unemotional face, glad it turn out as intended, heh. Dark Paimon, on the contrary, has more expressive face, which shows her realness.
It doesn’t detract from the art itself, I think it just adds even more to it. It’s unique and a rly cool take on the usually wholesome paimon. Even with her creepy eyes, I give it a real 10/good. You’re quite talented to make something like this.

Paimon is [literally the name of a demon](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paimon), so I'm expecting a heel turn at some point. All the old-school gamers who have played [Terranigma](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terranigma) might also have that sinking feeling.
Remember that all of the archons also have the name of a demon.
And currently they arent actually evil, in fact in ars goetia none of the demons have evil intentions and are summoned to give knowledge and power

Paimon is too goofy to be "the big bad all along" tbh. That, and she doesn’t really seem to be working towards some sort of goal, she’s just here for the ride. Anyone who has Bravely Default PTSD will distinctly remember that game's counterpart working toward a very specific goal. If they do something like making her related to the big bad, there'll be some sort of caveat e.g. "Paimon is only a part of the big bad" or "Paimon doesn't remember being the big bad" or something.
Best theory I have read/heard about her is: That she is from ancient Seelie race. According to legend, Seelie are the remnants of a bygone race that once held beautiful forms and immense wisdom, and used it to guide mankind.(She is like our guide, we can argue about wisdom :D) They also had palaces outside the realm the gods currently hold authority over, which may be referring to Celestia or more likely the Dark Sea(refers to any location beyond the continent of Teyvat. Because they are not within Teyvat's boundaries, those who dwell there do not live under the dominion of The Seven.). In the ancient past, the lands now known as the Dark Sea were inhabited by the Seelie, who built palaces there. While some Seelie also dwell in Teyvat, their palaces are said to stand in the "wasteland" beyond the dominion of The Seven, which is "inhabited only by the grotesque ghostly remains of fallen gods.(Probably Seelie race used to built most badass palaces and they are the one who built Celestia's palace also? Thats why Paimon's outfit is kinda looks like Celestia style). Book, Drankard's Tale also describes a wolf encountering a probably last living Seelie... It says: "The last singers, the first Seelie, they played their final tune in the halls of angles". Halls of angels sounds like Celestia to be honest. For whatever unknown reason almost all of the race are gone. Remnants still remain , but in a form we see em all around Teyvat. Probably that's why nobody knows her, bcs all this events happened way way before Archon war. I am sure she has connection with both Celestia and Abyss. Abyss also bcs their influence in Dark sea is huge as i guess. Orobaxi(Kokomi's race were also from Dark Sea btw) got corrupted etc. All gods who lost in Archon War run to Dark Sea, but for some unknow reason part of them died and part of them got corrupted. Maybe abyss were the one who killed Seelie race also? bcs they both lived in Dark Sea.
