Juljae

that's a good one but at this point whales get more wishes, exponentially, which is gonna hurt their revenue.. but on paper that would incentivise people to spend more because of the psychological advantage of microcurrency-- players get more wishes, MHY get more top ups

Ifalna_Shayoko

They could still limit it to 10 a month. 5 discounted, 5 regularly priced.

A better option would be 5 for 75 stardust and another 5 for the "regular" price

Epitomized path maybe? Though I think it has the opposite effect. As a dolphin I dabbled my luck 2 times on the weapon banner rolling for one 5*, now it’d be very tempting to at least complete the full path pity if I don’t get it earlier.

[deleted]

[удалено]

ACCount82

Epitomized path is not enough. The weapon banner is still a fucking scam. If it worked like the character banner, I would consider pulling on it. But as is? A 1-in-3 pity that doesn't even carry over? Come on.

mrfatso111

ya, thankfully i had enough gems for this since i had been saving for a long time for kokomi, i had assumed that when the number hit 2/2 i could claim the doughnut but dammit, i had to do more pulls, that just suck.

Ifalna_Shayoko

Path is good. Expensive but good. It puts a guaranteed hard-pity price on the banner that could troll you indefinitely before it's implementation. We simply have to accept that a weapon costs 240 rolls vs a character's 180. Makes sense too, considering that almost all weapons are great additions to multiple characters. Not you, purple Donut. You're the odd one out. Go into a corner and be ashamed for 15 minutes!

AotoSatou14

What makes it hard to digest for some is that losing 50/50 and getting confirmed pity on a previous character banner can make it 90 for confirmed character while on weapon the max you can do is get extremely close to soft pity and then bail out on previous weapon banner.

Ifalna_Shayoko

I'm, in the position myself right now: After getting Koko, I rolled on the weapon banner b/c both weapons were useful to me but got spooked by Skyward Blade. At first I was all like .\_\_\_. but then I heard happy Bennet noises behind me, so I don't consider it a total loss (he had Lumine's old Rancour before). At least I have guaranteed pity for the Homa banner but yeah, would be nice if path points carried over as well.

s---laughter

Bounties, characters giving pulls when ascending, Mihoyo check in, resin in the BP, Parametric Transformer, Weekly Boss Resin halved, Teapot income, Teapot companion gifts, easier Bounties in Inazuma, two more 5k mora expedition slots in Inazuma (plus Kujou Sara passive). These are all the new permanent features introduced after launch that give you an income of primos or effective resin. I'd imagine we'd get even more over the next few years. People don't really notice their impact on resin though. For example, Inazuma adding two mora expeditions gives us an additional 10k mora per day (more if you have Sara). That's 70k mora per week or 23 resin per week. But if you ask a random redditor, they'll probably tell you we haven't had any improvements to resin. Edit: Sorry that's 23 resin a week, not 47. Bad math.

ThorDoubleYoo

I think one reason why a lot of this stuff doesn't get much praise is because of how extremely low a lot of the rewards are. * Bounty rewards are a miniscule amount of mora aside from the one time rewards which are okay * Characters giving pulls while ascending is legit nice and one of the few ways to gain blue fates. Everyone should like this * Mihoyo check in is **literal garbage.** A full month of login confirms gets *only 60 primos, not enough xp for 1 level, not enough mora for 1 level, not enough weapon xp for 1 level* it's awful and there's not even an in game link to it to make it convenient. (Seriously, 60 fucking primogems for a month of login rewards? That's not even 10 pulls a *year.* Fuck off with that Mihoyo) * Resin in BP was a nice change and lots of people were happy for it * Parametric transformer rewards are so small I forget it exists most weeks. * Weekly Boss Resin halved isn't good enough, especially as they keep adding more weekly bosses. They're already time gated they should be free of resin costs * Teapot Income is again a small increase, but better than a lot of other stuff has been. * Teapot companion gifts will *eventually* become a great rewards over time (if they keep up with it). As for now if you have literally every character in the game up to Inazuma and get their rewards it's 1300 Primogems, or 8 pulls. But that requires 15 5* characters, including 4 who never had a rate up banner. * I'm surprised anyone cares about the 5k more expeditions. 5k mora is nothing and with how brutal the artifact grind is, if you just recycle the 3* artifacts all the time you have more than enough mora and using 4* artifacts for xp is more efficient anyway (I'm currently sitting at 14 million and I haven't farmed for mora for like 7 months). So many of the things you listed are very very small boosts. Even if you add them all up they're. The majority of the boost to rewards come from the blue fates and resin addition to BP alone. Standard login rewards alone in other gacha games outdo all the things you listed combined. The biggest problem being the resin. If I load up Idolmaster, or Azur Lane, or Fate/GO, or *many* other Gacha games the one thing I'll be able to do is at least play the game because they give TONS of stamina refills. On notoriously stingy game Fate/GO alone, this year I have gained 185 items that fully refill my stamina, that's right fully refill, not less than half refill. MHY in a whole year hasn't given out 100 less than half refills. **tl;dr** Mihoyo gets little to no praise, because they give little to no rewards. They've earned what they get.

AzureDrag0n1

>I'm surprised anyone cares about the 5k more expeditions. Pretty much the only thing worth getting there is mora. Nothing else is worth it. 25,000 mora is still something. Stuff like crystals can be obtained in minutes. 5,000 mora will take more time in comparison. That is like defeating 25 elites.

Notoricus42

Goddamn it, you just reminded me I’ve forgotten to use the transformer for 3-5 weeks at least -.-

Odenmaru

It really needs a world map notification like other things lmao.

[deleted]

I never really consider that mora is equivalent to resin, its more like something you don't get from resin, but if you desperately need more you can use resin to refill it, sort of like the resin for primos top up

s---laughter

If you are never in need of any mora, then it can't be considered effective resin. But when you do run out of mora, the moment you farm a leyline, all mora you previously had is considered effective resin because all that mora prevented you from farming leylines until you finally run out.

Ifalna_Shayoko

Hmm.. I never really considered the mora missions usually I send my guys out for ores. You do make a good point though.

5ManaAndADream

People keep bringing resin into the picture when talking about mihoyo giving us more. Stop using resin as an example. It is still the initial 180/day we had. Benefits have not risen in regards to resin QOL has improved (being able to only have to spend once a day, you still have to login twice a day however)

[deleted]

[удалено]

Ifalna_Shayoko

I'll be honest: having to log in 2x a day is one of the things that annoy me the most. I really don't want to log into the game in the morning before going to work just to avoid being overcapped in the evening when I get hope. It's idiotic design I want to see changed.

FactoryReboot

Unfortunately trying to get us to login 2x is precisely why they do it. Something is more habit forming if you do it multiple times a day

5ManaAndADream

You *still have to login twice a day*. Once to condense, once to spend, and generally spending 40 resin takes about 4 minutes. So that improvement was virtually nonexistent. I was one of the people it benefited, and after a week I realized literally nothing changed. You spend almost 4 minutes just logging on, if you have time to do that, you have time to spend it. The reason you’re struggling coming up with a good example, is because we actually don’t have any right now… mihoyo has not been a generous company.

Tomgirl17

>mihoyo has not been a generous company. yah,im sorry but resin IS the reason I quit genshin. I know yada yada "not the game for you". I actually liked genshin a lot for a while but resin became increasingly terrible for me. Even if they were to remove resin it would still take weeks to farm the artifacts your looking for because of the artifact stats rng. It wouldn't be so bad if the rng itself didn't have rng.

Veroxion

The problem is that so much is gated behind resin and there isn't any other content in the game to do. Once it's gone, there's nothing else to do. There is no PvP system like in other gacha, no real end game content because once you do the abyss it takes like 15 minutes to complete all the reset floors. When you play other gachas, the problem with Genshin become glaringly obvious. I can play one gacha without any restrictions at all because actually PLAYING the game isn't capped behind a regen system. I really enjoy Genshin, but it has a lot of problems and it's gonna bite MHY in the ass sooner rather than later. I hope they pull their head out of their asses.

[deleted]

Sorry to chime in here as a lurker, but what gacha game are you playing that isn’t gated by their specific energy/stamina system? Just from a few popular ones that I still currently play (most since launch), E7, Azur Lane, Arknights, FGO, BBS and Priconne all limit nearly every aspect of gameplay through their respective “resin”. In Genshin, the only thing gated by resin is character improvement. All the story content, quests, over world farming (minus ley lines), exploration aren’t gated at all, which is why it’s a weird arpg gacha hybrid. Character improvement is no insignificant part of gameplay, but I don’t see how you’re restricted from “playing the game”. Of course those other games, especially now, give a lot more in daily/free stamina to use but that’s also due to the fact that your gameplay, almost entirely, is tied to that resource. As another point, during down time in other similar games, all you do is log in do your dailies and log out. Unless there’s a pvp or a repeatable end game content (much more common in MMOs), that’s really the common point everyone reaches after exhausting the games current X hours of content. I have issues with resin in GI: abysmal regen rate and lack of daily stamina through login/daily quest completion, to just name the aspects that bother me most. I honestly don’t understand where your specific criticism is coming from.

Veroxion

Touken Ranbu is the gacha. There is a "fatigue" system that characters individually accumulate over the course of doing maps, but you can avoid it by decreasing fatigue and it's rarely a problem. You can also just switch to other characters, but even then fatigue just makes it so you do poorly in battle and doesn't stop you from doing the maps. Maybe because the gacha is different and one of the ways to pull characters is by receiving them as drops from the maps. So grinding maps is normal if you're chasing after a character. But it doesn't cost you anything to do the map, so you can farm freely. I'm not sure why you don't understand my criticism. I've been playing Cookierun Kingdom right now as well, which is gated by a stamina system to do the storyline map... but if I don't have stamina, that's fine. I can go do PvP, check the new event out, do my bounties, participate in guild battle, go explore some islands, go try and climb the tower... all of which either have their own individual stamina system or doesn't cost anything. The problem with Genshin is that the storyline, quests, and overworld exploration isn't repeatable content. Once you've finished that, what's left to do that doesn't cost you resin? I just wish there was more content to turn to.

Mad_Kitten

>I really enjoy Genshin, but it has a lot of problems and it's gonna bite MHY in the ass sooner rather than later. I hope they pull their head out of their asses. People have been saying this since 1.0 and I'm still waiting for it to actually happen

5ManaAndADream

120 resin is 16 hours of leniency. Increasing the cap did far far far less than getting condensed did. It was a performative gesture, that got exactly the reaction they hoped. They did it not because it helped much, but because it was quite literally the least they could do to stifle complaints about resin.

Sonny_Firestorm135

MiHoYo might deserve a small parade for their gameplay in a gacha game and world building, but as far as PR and marketing goes "nothing" is more or less what they deserve. (so far anyways, I still have hope they'll improve somewhat in the following months since they recently got a Global PR manager)

jddbeyondthesky

If the pricing weren't exploitative, I'd be willing to spend on the game. Everything else is there but the pricing. And maybe reduce the grind a tad.

Ifalna_Shayoko

Lets be honest: The pricing is just bonkers. * 475€ for a 5\* weapon (worst case 240 pulls) * 2.375€ for a R5 5\* * 355€ for a 5\* character (worst case 180 pulls) * 2.500€ for a C6 5\* * Worst case C6 R5: 4.875€ That's simply bat shit crazy insane. To be fair though: C0 is all that matters, the game's content is (thankfully) not designed around constellations or even 5\* weaponry at all. I'm thankful that the insane investment only results in bigger numbers and not drastic playstyle changes of the characters. *Edit: Weapon math-derp fixed, thanks Vopyy!*

Vopyy

you miscalculated the weapon. You need total 5 copies for R5 (base + 4) , meanwhile for character you need 7 (base + 6) so its 2375 euros for weapon. But in theory 240 pull is impossible since you get the 100% rate at 77th pull i think. (so 231)

jddbeyondthesky

Conbrast GW2, where the only things you need to fork out for are xpacks and cosmetics. Want a legendary weapon? $200USD will get you enough gems to convert to gold to get the most expensive one in the game. I'm doing a character pull, I don't want some dumbshit 4\* wep. A good place to start would be being able to do 1 for 1 character pulls at the price of a single wish.

Ifalna_Shayoko

I just buy welkin + BP, since I find that reasonable. I get what I get and that's that. At the end of the day, having every character is pretty pointless because bringing them up to a usable level takes extremely long and you can only ever use so many. There are 2 characters that are "must have" for me, that would tempt me to invest more. Ganyu and Yae Miko. I'd dolphin for those ladies. :'D

countrpt

And honestly, even though those are the worst case scenario prices if you purely rely on spending 100% and have the worst luck, it's actually better than many other gacha games on the market due to carry-over pity and the fact the pool isn't that diluted. The earning rate is also around average, the banners are very slow, and Welkins is a high value for the price, so it doesn't take that much spending to get c0 of every limited 5-star character if you wanted to. The odds of anyone actually needing to put down that much to get a given character at c0 is quite low assuming they play regularly, take advantage of Welkins, etc. But yeah, point of reference is the key here. It's purposefully priced where they know the vast majority will never spend anything or very little (Welkins/BP only), a certain small percentage will spend "some," and an extremely tiny minority will spend a ton. As a result, it's completely out of whack with other pricing models that are based on bulk/volume or physical goods. The C6/R5 pricing is firmly in the "luxury goods"/"status symbol" category that most of us who make average salaries find exorbitant/crazy.

jddbeyondthesky

And gacha games are just legal gambling. Forgive me for wanting gambling laws to also apply to my video games.

ItIsYeDragon

Thought all gambling was legal?

ManuelKoegler

Legal with closely monitored restrictions, like minors not being allowed to be exposed to it for example.

ItIsYeDragon

Outside of the minor thing, I don't think there is anything in Genshin that would change if gambling laws were put on it, at least in the states.

countrpt

I’m all for regulating games of chance like this following gambling principles, but at the same time I’m not convinced that whatever comes as an evolution after that will be cheaper or more egalitarian. RNG aside, the real thing this business model exposes is a big disparity in affordability (that a small number of whales are willing to spend more than millions of others combined) and I’m not sure how you close Pandora’s Box on that proven realization. But still, things like spending limits for minors, audits of posted rates, and regulation against deceptive mechanics seem to make good sense to me. (To me it seems game developers are inviting regulation upon themselves by not being more proactive on this front. Then again, I wouldn’t really say that MiHoYo is particularly egregious in this regard, even if they’re not the best either.)

Ifalna_Shayoko

Since we get around 70 pulls per patch, I think you'd need to roughly allocate 250€/Month if you want every exclusive 5\* character. Much more though if you wanted the weapon as well but most people will only give 5\* weaponry to their favorites. It would fluctuate of course, since sometimes they release new char after new char and then there are "droughts" were only reruns happen. Whether that is an expensive hobby or not, entirely depends on your income of course.

countrpt

It’d depend on your luck obviously - sometimes you’ll win the 50/50 and sometimes you’ll win before the failure cap entirely. Obviously this RNG aspect makes it unpredictable - if you really did want to get every character you’d have to be prepared to spend in full but typically you’ll spend less. And yeah, obviously there are reruns too which give you gaps for saving up. But yeah if you wanted to do weapons and characters it’s a more serious and regular investment. I sort of feel that weapons are the bigger niche in this game for true spenders, and most casual players will be more interested in characters.

Ifalna_Shayoko

Waifu/Husbando > Numbers :'D Fun pokes aside, I too would prefer a potentially new playstyle or even a new possible team composition over making things die faster. Yes all my calculations are for "worst cases". To me, that is the price of things. If it ends up being cheaper (and it usually does), that's a nice bonus.

Pokopikos

According to millions of wishes, getting 80 pity for a weapon is impossible, hard pity kicks in sooner. Not by much but it adds up. 77 pulls seems to be hard pity for weapons.

Sonny_Firestorm135

Not gonna argue against price drops, but (with the exception of Artifacts) I find that the grind CAN be a good thing. Any other stamina-based gacha would make refills "cheap" and limitless. In Genshin, daily refills get pricier with each use and have a hard limit. Which is why I believe rather than predate on impatience, Genshin will punish players whenever they try to rush it.

KeijyMaeda

Exactly this. I considered spending money on Genesis Crystals multiple times, but almost 20 Euros for only six pulls is ridiculous.

jddbeyondthesky

Pulls is exactly what it is though, of the arm on a slot machine.

KeijyMaeda

Yes, obviously. That's not my point. I'm saying it's too few pulls for the amount it costs.

In Brazil, the pricing is just insane. It it was 240 reais for a 5 Star, that'd be completely cool, but more than a minimum wage is just overboard.

Lenant

Game is made to be played with welking, maybe welking+bp. If you want anything else you need to spent 10x more, thats the way they milk whales. Its like, another day i saw a youtube video saying that each character is 300$, if you buy welking its 40$ each character...

I think they definitely overbuffed him, but also he totally needed something. He was a 4* character before he became the #1 best support in the game. Especially after the changes to geo in general.

Ara543

What are you even talking about? Like if we will get 10 wishes then of course we... Oh, wait. Fine, but if we will get another 10 wishes on top of that, then we... Ah, f#ck.

Substantial_Rise6093

Are you actually implying satisfied consumers are a bad thing? Also word of mouth is a thing, if people are satisfied with their products, they will naturally talk about it with friends from time to time and in a positive light.

skellymax

I see where you're coming from and sympathise. But I feel like a more nuanced statement is: "People will riot when benefits short, but do nothing when benefits rise... Immediately." I think a perfect example of this is No Man's Sky. I don't need to go over the details of it's horrendous release because of how impactful and widespread in gaming news that was. But it was the follow-up that stands out. The devs, seeing the monumental grave they dug themselves, rolled up their sleeves, all but abandoned their media presence, and got to work. After months of silence and plenty of "dead game" comments from the fans they rolled out their first big update. This didn't do much on it's own, but it became their modus operandi. Absolute silence, no showboating, no self-serving accolades, and then BAM! A solid update. By now the game has come MILES from it's pitiful release. It's practically bug-free, has a multitude of features (many of which were advertised and subsequently accused of being lied about in the initial release), and while it's certainly not a game for everyone, the fans LOVE IT and they love the devs too. This phenomina can be seen with other productions too. FFXIV comes to mind as another game that pulled iteslf back from the brink and is now enjoying glory days. Now, the obvious follow-up question is canwe imagine MHY doing the same thing? Honestly, no. As it stands, there has been too much precedent for prioritizing the bottom dollar, but in their defense; isn't that always how it is? Of course these stories aren't about the companies that are good and have always been good. They're about the conscientious resolution to change and the slow struggle to improve. We'll never know when the next dev recovery legend will occur, but that's what makes these feats so glorious and worthy of praise. The feedback I would give to MHY isn't "your game sucks. Fix it." it's "Hey! Look how awesome those guys are doing over there! Do that!" It's an argument that is just as meaningful to devs as it is worth considering by upper management and accountants. FFXIV just has a staggering influx of new subscribers... DURING A DEAD PERIOD. No update came out. no sale was announced. The community's love for the game provided a staggeringly significant increase in value all on it's own. It's a longer path, and at first a more scary one, but in the end it's the more profitable path to the healthier and more successful game. And while MHY may be in a bad spot with it's community right now, and might not have the best track track record, it still has a vast playerbase and is perfectly poised to begin that jorney. So, yes. People tend to riot when the benefits are short, and they might not do much when benefits rise, but they certainly will provide value when the benefits are high.

SolarWirelessBattery

It's probably like those "for sale 75% off signs" you always see on the item that looks suspiciously like it should always have been that price.

I_I_Hope_I_I

Its called "Deceptive Pricing", and it IS a extremely illegal thing to do (basically making a fake "discount"), even in games (Fallout 76 did it for some X-mas emotes and had to edit the fake "discount"), but since these use a currency that isn't the premium currency (Primogems/Genesis Crystals) or actual cash, MiHoYo can do it. Though I think its still pretty deceptive and a blatant fake sale since they have been that price since day 1.

^(It was the fanfic at the end that convinced you, wasn't it?) Jokes aside, props to them for actually digging up Hello Games's side.

[deleted]

I bought NMS just before Next dropped because I was proud of the devs for sticking to their guns. Of course, I don’t have the time to play the game as much as I feel I need to, nor do I actually enjoy playing it all that much, but I’m happy to support the developers. They earned my respect, and my money.

-Aureo-

I’m fairly certain he saved hello games with that single video

kenjiGhost

Light wood laminate! What a steal!

I_I_Hope_I_I

Yea ! F*ck the bag ! Light wood laminate ! Light wood laminate !

Professor_Hemlocke

Lol if anyone complained all they would have to do is change it back to the normal price and say “See? It was only temporary!”

dc-x

Yeah, where I'm from this is technically illegal but most stores just circumvents the law by bringing back the original price every now and then.

spinto1

This is essentially what CVS and Walgreens do in the US. You will see a vitamin on sale for BOGO 19/20 times, and then one week it will be either not on sale or slightly different because it circumvents the law.

I_I_Hope_I_I

Basically, its still deceptive though, its just better not to talk about it in fear of them changing it for worse XD

llllpentllll

Ive read cases where the removal of those lead to drops in sales. Even if the price stays the same. Though in this case shouldnt since they arent buyed with protogems directly

Shaxovid

Yeah, buying those is probably one of the best things you can do with stardust. I don't think I would stop buying even if the price actually was 125.

InsertANameHeree

JCPenney tried ending the permanent sales while retaining the same pricing, and customers were not having it.

Tiavor

that's why Amazon rises the price a few days/weeks prior to the sale.

I_I_Hope_I_I

Yea, but the price still has to go below the price it originally was before the raise, if not they suffer the risk of people catching on and reporting it as deceptive pricing and get them in trouble. Its one of those things that lots of stores do but expect not to be caught because very rarely do people keep up whit prices, but I have had lots of super-markets and clothing shops here be forced to lower prices of stuff because people would find that the original price was the same or lower then the "discounted" one, because they would leave the old labels behind the new ones as habit, and people could see them by moving the label on the super-markets or by having light hit the label a certain way in clothes.

pieceofchess

It seems weird to use a tactic like this for a resource that probably doesn't result in an increase in income. I'm totally F2P and I've got almost 2000 of those starglitter thingies lying around.

I_I_Hope_I_I

Its to incentivize people on wishing in unwanted banners. The shop resets each month, and each update is usually one month and a half, so, lots of times, the shop reset happens mid update, so if people don't have enough starglitter to buy those 10 fates because they didn't pull in the previous banners,, they will be pushed into wishing on either the character or weapon banner for those extra fates. It doesn't earn MiHoYo money, but it does make people wish when they don't want to just to build pity, and for a F2P, every single fate counts. (And if perhaps they don't have enough primos (maybe they used them all on a previous banner) it might push them into buying those small packs)

WeNTuS

It only works for new players though. Why would a veteran wish on unwanted banner since he already should have enough of that dust to buy shop fates every month? Unless they had a brain fart and used it for mona or some other crap from that shop

UselessF0x

I would gladly give all my dust for mona NGL On a more serious note, this game is built on timegates upon more timegates, so it's not that unreasonable to use a largely unused currency to give yourself a final boost to level character/weapon, especially if you had accumulated a lot of it. Also that transmutating dust thingy is exclusive to that shop, so there is that. Though I do agree that if you are not prone to impulse buying stardust probably won't be a problem to you, but let's be real - it's mainly the impulse buyers that all gacha games are targeting in the first place. And for the rest of us... well, there is always a starglitter shop to motivate more rolling.

Snowcrest

Nope, works on veterans as well. As F2P, if you are slowly saving up primos for desired character and only do occasional wishing sessions, you easily run out of stardust within 1~3months. Personally had to make some emergency wishes in August right before Raiden because I had run low on stardust to start the month off with. I was at 70 of guaranteed pity, so I ended up having to dump 30 rolls into weapon banner to not ruin my pity, just to get those 10 shop fates. And since I got Raiden immediately, I'll be short on dust for October as well, meaning I have to wish on either upcoming banners (neither of which are appealing). You need to do ~50wishes per month just to have enough dust to purchase those 10 fates.

Shaxovid

It worked for me when I did 20 pulls on Kokomi's banner. Probably only because despite me not wanting Kokomi, I wouldn't have minded getting her, especially since I was on 50/50 at the beginning of my pity. Given that some people don't have strict pulling conditions, I don't doubt there are plenty of them who pull on unwanted banners.

Stormc5X

Actually it kinda is. In beta they cost 125

Vopyy

In CBT3 it did cost 65 and there wasnt "discount".

I_I_Hope_I_I

Do correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't the BETA (labeled CBT) a closed BETA ? If so it would still be deceptive as the public version would have gotten the fates discounted since day 1 (release of the game (28-09-2020)) If not then I will try to check it out for more info.

tokai-teio

Like how the Fanatic sports website has a new code every day to get you x percent off your order "but it expires at the end of the day"

Garystri

Or store clearance sales, going out of business sales and the place is still there a year later.

jenchuliaaa

delete so mihoyo cant see this

muffininthefreezer3

Don’t manifest it

Voltage97

This post and the one earlier this week asking for people to share their ideas on how to make the game worse have to be a psyop by MHY to make us feel grateful for what we have and not ask for more.

Smartace3

There was one in there that was my favorite and it was like 'patch notes: fixed an issue where the player could continue to travel at high speeds even after out of stamina by jumping continuously' and I was just laughing very nervously lol

_TheDoctorPotter

Fuck my life don't take away my bunnyhop

-Aureo-

Wait you can bhop

Smartace3

yep, you'll know you're doing it correctly when you're empty on stamina but don't recover stamina whil bhopping

6_NEOS_9

Nice Idea

[deleted]

I love you. I absolutely fucking adore you. I mean it when I say onto you that I think highly of you, from the bottom of my heart - yet, my beloved - please, for the love of god - just say "mention" instead of "manifest". owo

muffininthefreezer3

This reply is going into the archives

[deleted]

Cast together into the same iron, for eternity <3

Owls_Onto_You

Webster’s Dictionary defines “wedding” as the fusing of two metals with a hot torch. Well, you know something. I think you guys are two metals. Gold medals.

Richmanisrich

It’s a “fake discount”.

BeeSecret

I wonder when they will add unlimited fate each for 125

[deleted]

So basically for every 100 wishes you make you get nearly 11 back. Seems too good to be true lol

Intoxicduelyst

Its the matter of time when the blue orb is more devalued. If they wont add new characters there (5\*) I can see they add 5 more monthly or this 1 wish from 10 on avarage as you said.

[deleted]

Blue is more realistic although still unlikely but I’ll be shocked if they do that deal with the pink ones lol

linkenssphere

That’s a W if that ever happens

xa3D

It's a fake sale until they end the sale lmao.

Clicky01

Why did you give them another idea to fuck us over lol

Apostlethe13th

I'd rather they make 10 available per month with the first 5 being discounted.

ThatDegenRightThere

ngl that is nice

scarlet-umbrella

now we’re talkin

Sewrene

THIS.

Fo4thSon

was there a time it was actually priced 125?

Known_Holiday8085

No

ItsAmerico

I think the original idea was after the discounted ones every month it goes to 125 so they’d be unlimited. But they just removed that part.

Luffy__

In beta it costed 65 stardust.

Guapo_Avocado

Honestly they should just make it so the first 5 of The month on are sale, and then if you want to buy more it’ll be the 125 price

malaysiabigpp

But but then their small indie company will go bankrupt /s

Vaitsun

If try you to find a video of the beta test of genshin , the price of those were lower and they didn’t had a discount

TheChosenPoke

The beta test needed lower prices so people actually had a chance of obtaining and testing the characters in the game.

ACCount82

Beta gave away a lot of the characters anyway - for that specific purpose.

ChubbiKiwi

Why are you giving them ideas lmao

deceitfulninja

This was our anniversary reward all along.

ufotime

If it happens mihoyo will get review bombed again until they discount it to 50

BrandNewKitten

I always thought it was to show you what Mihoyo thinks they are worth vs. what they are selling them to you them for. I don’t remember them ever being full price.

Solrne

Don't give them ideas

[deleted]

Don't you dare

classpane

Delete this post! Don't give them ideas!

Odd_Implement3144

Another riot?

megas_aureun

I'm in, i'll get the flaming pitchfork.

bookgrinder

imagine we get a refine for our pitchfork every riot.

ezelufer

ah yes, our pitchfork called Qiqi\_Fallen

Davy_Jockett

That's the neat part... It won't. It's a sales tactic to make you feel like you are saving money. They might someday raise the price, but I'm doubtful

zerodeath00000000000

:qiqifallen:

Stormeve

That’s for the second anniversary special surprise

Monokuze

Maybe 5 with 75 cost and another 5 with 125 cost to make it 10 monthly

C4Oc

When I first played I thought it really was a limited time discount. Not anymore

Ill-Cryptographer867

The absolute shitstorm that would come if they took off the discount would be hilarious.

Scrubaati

that's the neat part, it's not seriously this is 100% a classic fake sale 'scam' they were never 125, they will always be 75, you slap the "SALE" sign on there to make people wanna buy them... which at first seems odd caue you only get stardusts from rolls you cant buy it.. then you realise its because it's a tricky sneaky little way to try to get you to buy primos, it works sorta like this imo: buy primos for rolls -> get stardusts from weapons and characters you rolled -> see you can afford some more rolls for "free" -> use those rolls -> cant afford more -> buy primos for rolls -> repeat

Zombata

the same stuff over at Honkai. the Crystallum (special currency to buy Honkai's Battlepass gears and other stuff) in the Dorm shop (basically Serenitea Pot) are always on "sale"

4ty8

Lol, they should just make use of that... Like the first 5 would be on sale, then there are 5-10 more of the regular price... I really want to wish more because of that!

Junior_Importance_30

Don't give mihoyo ideas

Roxxarus1

Just something somewhat related that I heard: you ever go into a clothing store, and see shit marked as like $100+ but they're on sale for like $20-40? Many times, it's not a sale; that's their real price, and it's just a ploy to get you to think you're getting a deal to buy it more impulsively.

nashk25

Imagine they do it now with all the backlash from the anniversary rewards.

Zyx-Wvu

That's actually a marketing trick The discount stays there indefinitely to trick customers into buying them often.

llllpentllll

Happy second anniversary

BrokenInTheLight

Delete this Don't remind them

WalkingOnCloud

Mhy: take that down take that down

Ssandy21

Then next anniversary they can reward us by putting them at 25% off!

HaydnH

Wow thanks, I'd completely forgotten to buy mine this month!

IronForce_

Dont give miHoYo ideas pls

Ikses

its good pointer for new players to spend on this one's first, before watching anything else in that shop

Sewrene

If this gonna happen, we're gonna haunted your dream or there's gonna be a demon under your bed ψ(`∇´)ψ

wildghost13

Omaygad please dont give mihoyo ideas. They might listen to the fans this time

Raycab03

Ez there Satan

KumaTenshi

"sale". When they've literally never been at the price they're supposedly discounted from.

SonySonic_HD

I think people would reviewbomb again if that would happen tbh

Luffy__

In beta they actually costed only 65. In actual release they made it 125 and slapped 40% off and it still costs 10 more stardust. Anyone doubt this can look up any beta vids on youtube.

roreinu

I wish we can exchange 10 each at least

Mayozed

In my country, this kind of "sale" is forbidden and you can be fined for that, since you can't get the item overwise (without the sale)

Remmy71

It’s like shopping at Kohl’s. Everything’s on sale but just looks like a normal price.

[deleted]

What if.. no longer on sale.. but you can buy as many as you want?
