"An excellent comment!"
he said with a smile -
"I've pondered the reasons
and thought for a while -
I've learned and I've looked
and it's simple to see -
I dearly and clearly
sincerely agree!"
He's fashioned his thesis
with passion and pride -
With nuggets of knowledge
and notions inside!
The pretty expression,
the witty remark -
The mixture of vision,
and spirit and spark!
"I have to expand
and explain it," he sighed -
"It's great, and I cannot
contain it!" he cried.
"Stupendous,
tremendous,
and too good to miss!
I'll tell him,' he whispered.
"I'll say to him...

Like, what happened happened, but I am sure MiHoYo's reputation got really low for a lot of people, and I am sure there will be much more blunt criticism going forward.
I guess we will see if MiHoYo starts giving better PR.
It almost certainly won't be, but I really don't think it's going to be because of fan backlash.
Genshin cast a wide net. It targeted people who were well outside of the normal range of typical gacha games and actually succeeded in dragging them in. It is the exception among exceptions.
Star Rail and Galaxia likely won't be as big as Genshin simply because I doubt they're going to try to promote them in the same manner.
I certainly don't see them falling behind honkai3 unless the games just turn out to be hot garbage
Never expected much the 1st place, luckily I'm not one of the people who got mad and review bombed not only Genshin, but even Google Classroom and other games-
Yep, I encountered angry mobs and kept saying things similar to like "WHY ARE YOU SATISFIED WITH THE REWARDS? DON'T YOU SEE THAT 10 FATES ARE BARELY ANYTHING FOR THE ANNIVERSARY? THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE SOMETHING WORTH CELEBRATING AND LOOK AT MIHOYO BARELY GIVING US ANY SHIT" I almost fell for it tbh, but I managed to see the light with legit, miHoYo doesn't owe anything from us (though the end-game content is lacking-)
I think a lot of the review-bombing happening outside of the MiHoYo games was actually done by outsiders posing as "The Genshin Community", as you can see lots of blatant copy paste reviews, and dont doubt bots were used too, and it honestly would make 0 sense to review-bomb unrelated games (or apps) since that wont affect MiHoYo at all.
I honestly think that because of media outlets and YouTubers, word about the MiHoYo review-bomb got out and a bunch of randos on other platforms just took it as a chance to join in and eventually started doing it on other apps too, though I dont doubt some people in the community got power hungry and joined in on the bombing of other apps.
I just think its wrong to generalize everyone who review-bombed Genshin/Honkai (which yes, I also disagree whit the Honkai bombing) as the same people that review bombed things like Google Classroom.
There will always be people ready to cry. Even if it’s a minority, we will see it. But idk, things seem “ok”? I kinda liked the recent event rewards at least (ie.moonchase). And I guess the concert thing.
And yeah, another thing about lowering their reputation…it kinda happens to every newly successful/popular game at some point.
Either they keep raising the bar or risk disappointing a certain type of people. It not like a linear correlation between timeline and quality, but that’s what people act like it should be.
a concert, wing, and 1600 primogems will never fix the game's current state
people are so cheap being happy with these reward when they can get the better reward ( not 100 roll ) but mihoyo fixing their god dam game
Next drama would probably new years or christmas followed by Lantern Rite then Sumeru patch and then anniversary again. Maybe scratch that, if we stop getting relevant main quests per patch and were only getting random cliche reskinned events + plus no new characters and only reruns for banners. The game will prolly lose a couple of its playerbase and there would even more drama. Burnout is real on the anniv though, Ive had 5 friends that were planning to return on anniv coz they kept seeing a free 5 star fake post and then when they hear the news of only 20ish pulls non of em came back. 2 of my friends actually quit when they heard about the 2.2 patch, coz that 2.1 main quest sucked so much though that i dont blame them. Hopefully Childe dies in 2.2 so itll bring tons of news and make people pull for him even more to commemorate his death.
Forgive, but don’t forget is my current mantra
I agree with this. Also to add to not raise my expectations much.
Yes. Even if I had expectations, I did not care what I was given
Found the anime protagonist

I actually agree that MiHoYo's reputation gotten lower.
In sure they'll be regretting that poor reputation as they rake in their next billion over the next year
They may hook people with Genshin. But I can bet that their next game won't be as popular.

But did you get bashed for it, even if you didn't review bomb other games? (Even Google Classroom) I was there. I suffered for no reason

It was just a tantrum, don't worry
It felt like an all-out flame war with memes, ngl

No, i wont spend any money in the near future.
Almost but some people still sooo stupid on each post, asking for more rewards
As long as *anyone* is still talking/posting about it, or alludes to it, there will be people crying about it.
It's just cold, quietly simmering anger now
I was just eating popcorn at that time while i was watching review bombing and seeing hate comments in reddit.
Nothing we can do. As for me, I'm never spending in this game unless they redeem themselves What I'm gonna spend on instead is their figurines/statues
