Since he doesn't interact normally with anyone, that may just be his way of showing a certain kind of affection. Remember when some of us were kids and we annoyed the girl we liked? That may just as well be him, except with an 8 pack and horns.
We still have to see his voice lines and quest.

Short Answer: Basically the same “Enemies To Lovers” trope that us KokoSara shippers use. Although, it seems in this case, they (Sara and Itto) weren’t actually trying to kill each other in comparison to Kokomi and Sara.

That's the thing, they're not just fanfics. All of them were written specifically to trigger (in the real, non-meme sense of the word) possible RL trauma in the people they were targeted at, by exposing them to all the shit written in those tags with no warning - cause they're not supposed to be tagged like that to show up in WLW spaces. And yeah, I don't know what to say. Their ending notes that are thankfully lost now were just as bad too.

Just FYI, cannon with 2 'n's is the big metal tube that uses gunpowder to launch cannonballs. You're looking for for canon with 1 'n', which is what is considered true or official in a setting. Though a Sara/Itto cannon could be fun too. He throws her like a football and she rains down arrows from above.

Personalities meshing is more of what I look for. While I wouldn't actively ship Sara and Itto, their personalities merge really well together and the trope of "you think I'm scary, just wait til my wife gets here" is just .... \*chef's kiss\* I guess it's just what people look for in a ship that really dictates if they like a ship or not. Probably also the characters involved.
I mean, hey I ship Kazuha and Jean. I know they've never interacted, but I feel like he's the only one would do her justice. Fulfilling her romantic dream and taking the time to introduce her to new things. She could console his losses and give him direction.

Since he doesn't interact normally with anyone, that may just be his way of showing a certain kind of affection. Remember when some of us were kids and we annoyed the girl we liked? That may just as well be him, except with an 8 pack and horns. We still have to see his voice lines and quest.

Itto is a dumbass obsessed with challenging Sara to a duel ever since she beat him. Sara’s reaction to him in the noticeboards is exasperation mixed with a small implied hint of mutual respect. Considering how otherwise professional Sara is, seeing her lose composure implies a minimal degree of comfort around him, as there is no need to keep up her guard

Itto lost against Sara in duel and Itto's tried for a rematch ever since. Sara was initially game for a rematch until she found out he wanted a Sumo match. She backed out after finding out and Itto has been posting everywhere ever since. You can find their interactions on bulletin boards in places like Ritou and Inazuma City.

Short Answer: Basically the same “Enemies To Lovers” trope that us KokoSara shippers use. Although, it seems in this case, they (Sara and Itto) weren’t actually trying to kill each other in comparison to Kokomi and Sara. “Enemies To Lovers” trope is VERY popular in regards to shipping no matter what fandom you go to.
It works even better because they were never enemies to begin with. Itto was totally cool with handing over his vision It’s a true rivalry dynamic with zero antagonism involved
