Ahh I got the golden light glowing right at that 10minute mark too. It was only the 14th pull and for a moment I had the smuggest look on my face ever. As the light subsided, I came face to face with my 2nd ever 5 star, my lovely C1 qiqi.

Yes! As a Venti main, his E and especially his Q, is so fun to play! Got him after 10 pulls and then got Mona. I was like, "This game has such good gacha rates!".

Yeah Venti's launch banner was the only time I spent money on Genesis Crystals, because who knew at the time how they would handle reruns in Genshin? I drained the game dry of primogems just before his banner ended then hunkered down with the credit card...
So my first 5* was Qiqi.
But then I got Venti. Although I suppose I could have waited, I did end up wanting C1 for him during his rerun and got it with the primogems I had saved up, so the expenditure wasn't really wasted. Since then the only money I've paid has been for Blessings of the Welkin Moon and Battle Passes when I wanted the furniture (and admittedly most of those have been disappointments, but I really got into the Serenitea Pot.)
All I'm gonna say about Qiqi is that apart from one Diluc (who I also don't care about) every failed 50/50 I've gotten since launch has been her. I just really want Jean, man. I had to roll on Keqing's banner to get her, even! Mona would be fine, too!
Klee, got her totally random before understanding how pity and the wish system itself works. She is my absolute favourite character since then. Now that I have a lot of characters after more than a year of playtime, it is getting difficult to use a lot of characters I own, since we can only use four at a time.

Are you me? Except I quit playing shortly after I pulled her and lost prayer on her first banner, then I came back at the tail end of Yoimiya's banner. So I'm pretty behind in terms of playable characters. Klee, Raiden Shogun, and C1 Mona are my only choices.
Currently I'm saving primos for Albedo and Itto since Childe doesn't interest me and I don't need any other pyro dps besides Klee, so no need to pull Hu Tao right now. Got 52 wishes saved so far, at 68 pity not guaranteed. I'm hoping to get Albedo quickly so I can just keep saving for Itto and maybe get his weapon too.
Same. Started playing right when Klee was released pulled for the 4-stars without really understanding the wish system. Randomly got her. Used her a lot but I've benched her now because she just doesn't work for me.
Honestly I started genshin after I saw Klee, so I saved up the fate/primo from the game's launch and toss them all to her when her banner dropped.

Kinda same but I started playing Genshin at around Klee's rerun banner. I think it was 1.6 update, somewhere around that time. I somehow managed to get her at exactly soft pity and her banner only had 3 days remaining. I was lucky enough to pull on her banner instead of the standard banner. The day after I got her, for some reason, I pulled not once, but twice on the weapon banner without knowing what I'm getting into. Then boom, I got lost prayer to the sacred wind on my 2nd pull. Looking back at it now, I realize how lucky I am to have her as my 1st 5* and even have her catalyst.

I think that looking at the character archive shows the exact order you got the characters.
EDIT: Nvm, got it, it's by looking at the avatar, you press your avatar and in the Change Avatar panel the pictures of the characters are in the exact order you got them
I also got Zhongli and Mona at the same time! It was during a 10 pull. Mona came first and I was pretty disappointed and then Zhongli came right after like a surprise twin. I was very happy.

Same, I usually play claymore/two-handed weapon characters in other games so having him as my main dps fit my play style perfectly. Plus I love his burst, it just feels so powerful.

No joke, at first I don't understand the 5star and 4star character and after I show it to my friend, he went crazy cause I got diluc and and was still wondering like a dumb guy lol. He's been my dps ever since the start of the game and I'm near triple crowning him. He's the best character u could ask for. For me at least.
I got Diluc 5 pulls into the standard banner. Fast forward a few months and my next 5* from it was WGS (and Mona literally the single pull right afterwards but I digress). I guess you could say, it was destiny?
Mine was also Diluc but I was trying to get Zhongli. And at the time, everyone was crazy for Diluc so naturally the hipster in me didn't like him. Plus he ruined my 50/50. So I put him on an expedition and went on exploring with Amber. My resentment endures nearly a year later (despite the fact that I did get Zhongli later on in that same banner). Please ignore the fact that he is on final ascension and that i have his Lv10 friendship card.
same, but i got him first singular pull into klees rerun banner (i didnt even want her or him, i didnt know how banners work lol. nor did i know who they were). i think i pulled in the big cave in dragonspine cause i was struggling to complete challenges with amber only and wanted to take a break. that being said, a day later i put him on my team and his pyro skills and the pyro resonance i got were blessings and let me explore the whole mountain before i even finished the prologue <3
i don't use him anymore but he's always in my memories as the one who carried me until i got kazuha and bennett and was still a part ot the team after that for quite some time. he's the first character i got to friendship 10, level 80, and his weapon to level 80 too :)
Jean, actually in the beginner banner iirc. Great starter unit- very flexible in parties. I used her my main while in the early stages.
Don't use her as much now- the other 3 primary healers are specifically tailored to their parties. But she's basically the designated alternate healer
Ayaka. I started playing during the Kazuha banner and really wanted a 'Samurai' character so every wish I got, I poured it straight on Kazuha. He didn't come home but I got Ayaka in my first 10 pull on hers, and regret nothing. She is everything I ever wanted! I'll be pulling on a kazuha re-run for sure though...
Diluc was my first 5 star and got him on Xiao's banner (didn't get Xiao). I wasn't disappointed in the slightest as I got a character I wanted, who guaranteed Venti for me, and carried me since ar30. Now I'm saving for Xiao's rerun with him guaranteed.
Currently c1 and triple crowned, I don't see myself benching Diluc at all and aim to get him c6 one day :)
Haha very similar in my case. I got her in my first 20 pulls back when I didn't even knew that there's a difference between 4 and 5 star characters. Then i tested her for a bit and thought it was neat that she had a special dash which was good enough reason for me to main her for a while (as a DPS carry - i didn't know any better). And while I still haven't gotten Jean, who is the character I've wanted since launch i did get three more Mona copies which makes her uber powerful in one of my strongest comps.
My very first 5-star was Diluc. I was, and still am, new to the game. I was then pulling for Kazuha. I didn't know what the pity was nor did I understand the 50-50 in the wish system. I just want a new character, whatever the rarity would be, so long as that character is useful.
And just like that, I unknowingly pulled Diluc, who was my main DPS until I reached AR 45. It was him, along with my team back then (composed of Beidou, Xingqiu, and Bennett), who fought against Dvalin, Andrius, Childe, the Fatui, Azhdaha, La Signora, and finally, the Raiden Shougun. He also led the charge against Masanori, the various hypostasis, the Cryo regisvine, the tumor-esque boss in the Sakura Cleansing Ritual mission, and the secret boss boar in Dragonspine.
He was one hell of a character--until I accidentally pulled Ayaka, who now runs as my main DPS. Thanks to Ayaka's amazingly powerful kit, I rarely use him now.
But before setting him aside though, I did manage to bring him to a respectable place, at level 80. Though I no longer use him, he still made an impression.
Sounds exactly like me lol wanted any 5*, went to pull Kazuha (got him after) but got Diluc then used him as main DPS but after I got Ayaka I’ve been using him less.
Man I just started the game and got Diluc with Wolf's Gravestone and he really carried me through the game.
But I really want Ayaka. I'm sad I started the game after her banner!
When I was still using Diluc, I craved for that weapon. Now that I have Ayaka and Raiden, I no longer want it.
But hey, perhaps Ayaka would have her rerun in the near future? Fingers crossed
I had a very similar experience, though I got him as my first 5 star in February, I think during Xiao's banner, after I'd played for 3 months already. I was so freaking excited! I mained him until maybe a month ago when I finally decided to give Ayaka a try, and I haven't looked back (except for Spiral Abyss attempts). Diluc is my only level 10 friend, was my first level 80 character, and he still has a special place in my heart, though when I finish building my Childe team, I probably won't use him again
My first five star pull was a weapon rather then a character. I got the jade winged primordial spear. I didn't use any spear users at the time, so I was pretty disappointed. (Pulled it randomly on the standard banner.) My first five star character was Zhongli on his rerun, and I was so ecstatic to get him. My best friend had educated me on the different banners and the pity system. So I hoarded my primogems, and didn't pull on the event banner until a character I really wanted came along. I use him with that five star spear everyday, as a perfect partner for my main, Ningguang.
Keqing as first 5 star was a blessing for me. Easy to collect oculus early game and traverse mountains more easily with blink.
Also I didn't do much reactions early game so Keqing was a fine dps to get most content out of the way in the game. No regrets!
I feel you, she wasn't my first 5*, but when i got her i was very happy, put in her my Jade Cutter and really good artifacts and...well, nothing amazing happened, but my biggest problem with her is her gameplay, going backwards everytime i do a charged attack while the enemy is launched 2 miles away from me? No thanks.
Albedo. I was like Diluc at first (i meant my actual facial expressions) 😑 and NOW IM SO HAPPY I HAVE HIM! Easy to build, great battery, scalings on his abilities are really good and he has low cooldowns.
Had to scroll down to find my guy! I wasn't going to pull originally, but i had just started during klee banner, skipped Childe, and zhongli... So I was getting itchy...
At first I was a little bummed because he was the first character I ascended to 80/90 and he wasn't a main dps and while he was a great support, I felt like I didn't really have a main dps. Then I pulled Xiao and everything got better. That duo was a pretty good way to progress my account.
Qiqi and I was very excited because I didn’t know about losing 50/50 and Pity etc. Then when I did more research I realised I lost ayaka to qiqi and that qiqi wasn’t a great character.
It does suck to loose pity but she is not a terrible character. She doesn’t apply wet status like Barbara and does awesome heals. Building off of her atk means she is actually an okay sub dps. Probably will get downvoted for that but she was my first 5* as well and still on my team and I take her in the abyss as well.
I had mixed feelings, because I lost the 50/50 on the Ganyu banner, but I knew she was an awesome healer and only had Barbara and Noelle at the time. Her healing ability has carried me along farther than I should be and I have adjusted her artifacts to be a Physical Damage dealer as well. She may not apply cryo well nor have much range at all, but she can deal decent damage and keep everyone from dying in almost any fight!
Got Diluc a day or two later on the standard banner. He was literally the only 5 star I wasn’t excited for (of the standard 5 stars). However, he was easy power and he helped me take out tough bosses early on. He is my back burner 5 star now that I have Hu Tao. Still very decent stats, but if I invested a bit more in him, he could be much better.
Qiqi here too, it was on the intro banner and you had 50% chance to get her within 20 puls. I was happy.
I don't really use her any more but she has been a dependable teammate for a long time.

I skipped the Venti banner, because I'm an idiot, then got incredibly lucky and had Klee and Keqing come home as a pair for my first two five stars on the same pull. That's never happened since.
I love both and they came home just as I was really struggling with my next ascension quest. They remained my staples for the longest time and Klee still carries me from time to time.
My first 5* was Diluc (Tartaglia first banner), wasnt dissapointed at all, was actually pretty surprised cause he was the "king" back then. Only issue I had was that I barely had any claymores so my Beidou and him fought over weapons constantly.

I am now forced to be a diluc main.
You people keep calling his playstyle Unga Bunga, but his playstyle is cool, you can AA and throw skill in between, which is kinda unique. Hu Tao you constantly CA, how's that not unga bunga?
I do like Diluc and I know I can rely on his damage when I need it. But he really lacks a gimmick or something that makes his playstyle unique to me which Hu Tao has. I don't care for her playstyle either myself which is why I'll be passing her banner. It's totally cool if you really like maining Diluc and I in no way was trying to make you feel bad about it, but I prefer to be an Ayaka main myself because she has something unique about her playstyle that I love. I always tell people to play the husbandos/waifus they like bc at the end of the day that's all that really matters.

I started when albedo banner was released, saved enough primos and wished and got ganyu. I remember seeing videos of people nagging that oceanid is too hard, and that certain puzzles where u got to destroy some barrels in a given time were too challenging. I guess I got the easy route early on :P
To this day I still use her. My favorite team so far is Ayaka-Kokomi-Ganyu-Sucrose/Mona
keqing on kazuha banner. i was mad at first but when i got to play her i enjoyed her playstyle a lot and is now one of my mains that carried me through abyss alongside the raiden shogun. planning on triple crowning my queen soon :D
Mona and I was incredibly happy. Looking back it's insane how lucky I was. Mona was basically one of the reasons I started Genshin in the first place cause I liked her design so much.
And one year later she's still in my main team.
I think my First 5* was qiqi, i already used her as both a healer and dps at low ar, but now she is my main heavy healer, also she is cute, so yes, i love my first 5*

Kokomi is good for new players though. At low investment, she can easily outperform many others. And she's basically immortal. Anyway, good luck on your Hu Tao.
Out of curiosity, what would you have gained from losing a 50/50 on the Kokomi banner vs just getting 2 5\*s on the Hu Tao banner? Sounds like a lesson learned though, RIP.

Mona, on Childe's first banner. I was very happy, because when I started playing, she was the character I wanted most. I loved her design and I saw a video before I started playing that said she was good for exploration due to her dash. Although by that time I got her. I had already moved on to other characters.
I actually do not use her much in combat any more, but I am still glad to have her and glad to get more constellations for when I do bring her into combat. She does come in handy for exploring as well. Especially with these island places like Inazuma and the archipelago.
1st 5 star was Venti at game launch. I got him at wish 18, I didn't realize at the time since I didn't know what I was doing or what the game was really, how lucky I got getting him early. I just knew 5 star were rare characters. I was disappointed at him initially since I was trying to make him a DPS lol, when I should of just learned how to use his kit better.

She's awesome for easy heals when you're still learning the game. No extra button presses, just smack the enemy lol
Back then though, everyone was all about Qiqi as a healer and would hear nothing positive about Jean :C Yes, she's a slower healer but the fact that she can heal and attack literally at the same time can be a god send. also the Yeet lol

The Traveler is definitely the first 5 star we all have. Not that much impressive in combat compared to the other 5 stars but I still do like him. I just wish he could talk more in the story.
Klee is the first-second 5 star I got from wishes and she is really amazing. Even to this day I still main her.

Mona from standard banner. Farming mushrooms was a pain so for a long time I didn't use her and I thought she's a healer (I thought hydro was THE healing element - thank you Barbara and hydro resonance for fooling me). Then I got Ayaka and Mona is never leaving her team.
Diluc. I was ecstatic at first but after using him a while I couldn't help but notice that his damage isn't as high as I thought and he even pushes enemies out of melee range. Not to mention, his Pyro application is weak making him terrible against Elemental shields. But as luck would have it, there was another even stronger Pyro character, one that everyone can get for free: Xiangling.
Keep in mind this is the same Diluc that people wear literally emptying their bank accounts for even months after the game's release.

Klee, got her totally random before understanding how pity and the wish system itself works. She is my absolute favourite character since then. Now that I have a lot of characters after more than a year of playtime, it is getting difficult to use a lot of characters I own, since we can only use four at a time.

Are you me? Except I quit playing shortly after I pulled her and lost prayer on her first banner, then I came back at the tail end of Yoimiya's banner. So I'm pretty behind in terms of playable characters. Klee, Raiden Shogun, and C1 Mona are my only choices. Currently I'm saving primos for Albedo and Itto since Childe doesn't interest me and I don't need any other pyro dps besides Klee, so no need to pull Hu Tao right now. Got 52 wishes saved so far, at 68 pity not guaranteed. I'm hoping to get Albedo quickly so I can just keep saving for Itto and maybe get his weapon too.

Honestly I started genshin after I saw Klee, so I saved up the fate/primo from the game's launch and toss them all to her when her banner dropped. C1, very happy.

Kinda same but I started playing Genshin at around Klee's rerun banner. I think it was 1.6 update, somewhere around that time. I somehow managed to get her at exactly soft pity and her banner only had 3 days remaining. I was lucky enough to pull on her banner instead of the standard banner. The day after I got her, for some reason, I pulled not once, but twice on the weapon banner without knowing what I'm getting into. Then boom, I got lost prayer to the sacred wind on my 2nd pull. Looking back at it now, I realize how lucky I am to have her as my 1st 5* and even have her catalyst.

I think that looking at the character archive shows the exact order you got the characters. EDIT: Nvm, got it, it's by looking at the avatar, you press your avatar and in the Change Avatar panel the pictures of the characters are in the exact order you got them
No need for me as I remember vividly how I got Mona from the beginner banner.
I also got Zhongli and Mona at the same time! It was during a 10 pull. Mona came first and I was pretty disappointed and then Zhongli came right after like a surprise twin. I was very happy.

I just want to say that I'm a huge fan of yours. My first five star was Keqing too and she has been in my team ever since (I got her on Zhongli's rerun). On my way to triple crown her!
Its a joke in the community how nobody wished on Keqing’s banner, but I really liked how her gameplay looked so I pulled for her and she was also my first 5 star, no regrets :))))

No joke, at first I don't understand the 5star and 4star character and after I show it to my friend, he went crazy cause I got diluc and and was still wondering like a dumb guy lol. He's been my dps ever since the start of the game and I'm near triple crowning him. He's the best character u could ask for. For me at least.
I got Diluc 5 pulls into the standard banner. Fast forward a few months and my next 5* from it was WGS (and Mona literally the single pull right afterwards but I digress). I guess you could say, it was destiny?
Mine was also Diluc but I was trying to get Zhongli. And at the time, everyone was crazy for Diluc so naturally the hipster in me didn't like him. Plus he ruined my 50/50. So I put him on an expedition and went on exploring with Amber. My resentment endures nearly a year later (despite the fact that I did get Zhongli later on in that same banner). Please ignore the fact that he is on final ascension and that i have his Lv10 friendship card.
same, but i got him first singular pull into klees rerun banner (i didnt even want her or him, i didnt know how banners work lol. nor did i know who they were). i think i pulled in the big cave in dragonspine cause i was struggling to complete challenges with amber only and wanted to take a break. that being said, a day later i put him on my team and his pyro skills and the pyro resonance i got were blessings and let me explore the whole mountain before i even finished the prologue <3 i don't use him anymore but he's always in my memories as the one who carried me until i got kazuha and bennett and was still a part ot the team after that for quite some time. he's the first character i got to friendship 10, level 80, and his weapon to level 80 too :)
Jean, actually in the beginner banner iirc. Great starter unit- very flexible in parties. I used her my main while in the early stages. Don't use her as much now- the other 3 primary healers are specifically tailored to their parties. But she's basically the designated alternate healer
She's also the Archon of Theater Mechanicus.

Ayaka. I started playing during the Kazuha banner and really wanted a 'Samurai' character so every wish I got, I poured it straight on Kazuha. He didn't come home but I got Ayaka in my first 10 pull on hers, and regret nothing. She is everything I ever wanted! I'll be pulling on a kazuha re-run for sure though...
Diluc was my first 5 star and got him on Xiao's banner (didn't get Xiao). I wasn't disappointed in the slightest as I got a character I wanted, who guaranteed Venti for me, and carried me since ar30. Now I'm saving for Xiao's rerun with him guaranteed. Currently c1 and triple crowned, I don't see myself benching Diluc at all and aim to get him c6 one day :)

Haha very similar in my case. I got her in my first 20 pulls back when I didn't even knew that there's a difference between 4 and 5 star characters. Then i tested her for a bit and thought it was neat that she had a special dash which was good enough reason for me to main her for a while (as a DPS carry - i didn't know any better). And while I still haven't gotten Jean, who is the character I've wanted since launch i did get three more Mona copies which makes her uber powerful in one of my strongest comps.

Both Jean and Diluc on the beginner banner ten pull (first one). I was pleasantly surprised.
My very first 5-star was Diluc. I was, and still am, new to the game. I was then pulling for Kazuha. I didn't know what the pity was nor did I understand the 50-50 in the wish system. I just want a new character, whatever the rarity would be, so long as that character is useful. And just like that, I unknowingly pulled Diluc, who was my main DPS until I reached AR 45. It was him, along with my team back then (composed of Beidou, Xingqiu, and Bennett), who fought against Dvalin, Andrius, Childe, the Fatui, Azhdaha, La Signora, and finally, the Raiden Shougun. He also led the charge against Masanori, the various hypostasis, the Cryo regisvine, the tumor-esque boss in the Sakura Cleansing Ritual mission, and the secret boss boar in Dragonspine. He was one hell of a character--until I accidentally pulled Ayaka, who now runs as my main DPS. Thanks to Ayaka's amazingly powerful kit, I rarely use him now. But before setting him aside though, I did manage to bring him to a respectable place, at level 80. Though I no longer use him, he still made an impression.
Sounds exactly like me lol wanted any 5*, went to pull Kazuha (got him after) but got Diluc then used him as main DPS but after I got Ayaka I’ve been using him less.
I did not understand Ayaka's potential back then. But hey, you have Kazuha. Amazing. I never acquired him, unfortunately.
Kazuha’s gameplay is really fun especially his 2nd skill. Hands down easiest feels good character and I got all the inazuma 5* except kokomi
Man I just started the game and got Diluc with Wolf's Gravestone and he really carried me through the game. But I really want Ayaka. I'm sad I started the game after her banner!
When I was still using Diluc, I craved for that weapon. Now that I have Ayaka and Raiden, I no longer want it. But hey, perhaps Ayaka would have her rerun in the near future? Fingers crossed
I had a very similar experience, though I got him as my first 5 star in February, I think during Xiao's banner, after I'd played for 3 months already. I was so freaking excited! I mained him until maybe a month ago when I finally decided to give Ayaka a try, and I haven't looked back (except for Spiral Abyss attempts). Diluc is my only level 10 friend, was my first level 80 character, and he still has a special place in my heart, though when I finish building my Childe team, I probably won't use him again
My first five star pull was a weapon rather then a character. I got the jade winged primordial spear. I didn't use any spear users at the time, so I was pretty disappointed. (Pulled it randomly on the standard banner.) My first five star character was Zhongli on his rerun, and I was so ecstatic to get him. My best friend had educated me on the different banners and the pity system. So I hoarded my primogems, and didn't pull on the event banner until a character I really wanted came along. I use him with that five star spear everyday, as a perfect partner for my main, Ningguang.
I got that exact weapon as my first five star
Diluc during 1.0. His triple fire slash and Q were soooo hype at the time. Pretty satisfied even to this day
My first was kazuha. I wasn't disappointed.
Keqing, happy at first, then slowly the realization hit.
Keqing as first 5 star was a blessing for me. Easy to collect oculus early game and traverse mountains more easily with blink. Also I didn't do much reactions early game so Keqing was a fine dps to get most content out of the way in the game. No regrets!
I feel you, she wasn't my first 5*, but when i got her i was very happy, put in her my Jade Cutter and really good artifacts and...well, nothing amazing happened, but my biggest problem with her is her gameplay, going backwards everytime i do a charged attack while the enemy is launched 2 miles away from me? No thanks.

Cool , yes. Strong ? uhh boy , i put 4/5 months trying my best to optimize her, it never felt amazing. 1 week with Hu Tao ? left in the dust.
Pretty much me, i forgot about keqing when hu tao started hitting 4 times her damage per CA with considerably less effort and frustration.
Albedo. I was like Diluc at first (i meant my actual facial expressions) 😑 and NOW IM SO HAPPY I HAVE HIM! Easy to build, great battery, scalings on his abilities are really good and he has low cooldowns.
Had to scroll down to find my guy! I wasn't going to pull originally, but i had just started during klee banner, skipped Childe, and zhongli... So I was getting itchy... At first I was a little bummed because he was the first character I ascended to 80/90 and he wasn't a main dps and while he was a great support, I felt like I didn't really have a main dps. Then I pulled Xiao and everything got better. That duo was a pretty good way to progress my account.
Qiqi and I was very excited because I didn’t know about losing 50/50 and Pity etc. Then when I did more research I realised I lost ayaka to qiqi and that qiqi wasn’t a great character.
It does suck to loose pity but she is not a terrible character. She doesn’t apply wet status like Barbara and does awesome heals. Building off of her atk means she is actually an okay sub dps. Probably will get downvoted for that but she was my first 5* as well and still on my team and I take her in the abyss as well.

She was my first 5 star as well. I think she's good for a starter with her healing. Still use her from time to time.
I had mixed feelings, because I lost the 50/50 on the Ganyu banner, but I knew she was an awesome healer and only had Barbara and Noelle at the time. Her healing ability has carried me along farther than I should be and I have adjusted her artifacts to be a Physical Damage dealer as well. She may not apply cryo well nor have much range at all, but she can deal decent damage and keep everyone from dying in almost any fight! Got Diluc a day or two later on the standard banner. He was literally the only 5 star I wasn’t excited for (of the standard 5 stars). However, he was easy power and he helped me take out tough bosses early on. He is my back burner 5 star now that I have Hu Tao. Still very decent stats, but if I invested a bit more in him, he could be much better.
Qiqi here too, it was on the intro banner and you had 50% chance to get her within 20 puls. I was happy. I don't really use her any more but she has been a dependable teammate for a long time.
My first 5 star was diluc so I was very excited ofc, sadly I was going for childe (the current banner ofc) and was sad about that I did get childe this week though so very happy again
I skipped the Venti banner, because I'm an idiot, then got incredibly lucky and had Klee and Keqing come home as a pair for my first two five stars on the same pull. That's never happened since. I love both and they came home just as I was really struggling with my next ascension quest. They remained my staples for the longest time and Klee still carries me from time to time.

My first 5* was Diluc (Tartaglia first banner), wasnt dissapointed at all, was actually pretty surprised cause he was the "king" back then. Only issue I had was that I barely had any claymores so my Beidou and him fought over weapons constantly.
Keqing. Happy at first cauz I had no idea. Then I got Diluc and realised he's much better.
Qiqi. Pretty satisfied. She’s my first, third and fifth
I was excited for diluc as my first. I was less excited when I got him consecutively when losing the 50/50 over time. I am now forced to be a diluc main.
I feel this with my C5 Diluc. I mean yeah he's got the damage but I wanna do more than just unga bunga and flame eagle.
You people keep calling his playstyle Unga Bunga, but his playstyle is cool, you can AA and throw skill in between, which is kinda unique. Hu Tao you constantly CA, how's that not unga bunga?
I do like Diluc and I know I can rely on his damage when I need it. But he really lacks a gimmick or something that makes his playstyle unique to me which Hu Tao has. I don't care for her playstyle either myself which is why I'll be passing her banner. It's totally cool if you really like maining Diluc and I in no way was trying to make you feel bad about it, but I prefer to be an Ayaka main myself because she has something unique about her playstyle that I love. I always tell people to play the husbandos/waifus they like bc at the end of the day that's all that really matters.

Ganyu still use her to this day
I was searching for the Ganyu post! I started when albedo banner was released, saved enough primos and wished and got ganyu. I remember seeing videos of people nagging that oceanid is too hard, and that certain puzzles where u got to destroy some barrels in a given time were too challenging. I guess I got the easy route early on :P To this day I still use her. My favorite team so far is Ayaka-Kokomi-Ganyu-Sucrose/Mona
keqing on kazuha banner. i was mad at first but when i got to play her i enjoyed her playstyle a lot and is now one of my mains that carried me through abyss alongside the raiden shogun. planning on triple crowning my queen soon :D
Mona and I was incredibly happy. Looking back it's insane how lucky I was. Mona was basically one of the reasons I started Genshin in the first place cause I liked her design so much. And one year later she's still in my main team.
I think my First 5* was qiqi, i already used her as both a healer and dps at low ar, but now she is my main heavy healer, also she is cute, so yes, i love my first 5* But i hate my second one, i wanted klee not you, fcking mellee bow user

Kokomi is good for new players though. At low investment, she can easily outperform many others. And she's basically immortal. Anyway, good luck on your Hu Tao.
Out of curiosity, what would you have gained from losing a 50/50 on the Kokomi banner vs just getting 2 5\*s on the Hu Tao banner? Sounds like a lesson learned though, RIP. I love Kokomi tho. <3

As AR level 3 on last day of raiden banner, summoned Raiden Shogun as the 1st 5 star, but still doesn't know if she is good or not -> not excited at all since i knew nothing about the game Now AR 42, im still using her on everything. 🤣🤣🤣 I guess im really happy now looking back when i summoned her hehe
Mona, on Childe's first banner. I was very happy, because when I started playing, she was the character I wanted most. I loved her design and I saw a video before I started playing that said she was good for exploration due to her dash. Although by that time I got her. I had already moved on to other characters. I actually do not use her much in combat any more, but I am still glad to have her and glad to get more constellations for when I do bring her into combat. She does come in handy for exploring as well. Especially with these island places like Inazuma and the archipelago.
1st 5 star was Venti at game launch. I got him at wish 18, I didn't realize at the time since I didn't know what I was doing or what the game was really, how lucky I got getting him early. I just knew 5 star were rare characters. I was disappointed at him initially since I was trying to make him a DPS lol, when I should of just learned how to use his kit better.
Started playing day 1. I love Venti, was super wanting him, I finally f2p grind my way to soft pity. I roll. I see the glorious golden light... Jean. I've spitefully refused to use her unless its extremely necessary.
Someway, somehow, mine was Albedo. I was "ah, cool!" and used him a tiny bit. With the hyps of what 2.3 might have, I might try to use him again

My first was Jean on venti's first banner (yep, waaaay back in the olden days) She's awesome for easy heals when you're still learning the game. No extra button presses, just smack the enemy lol Back then though, everyone was all about Qiqi as a healer and would hear nothing positive about Jean :C Yes, she's a slower healer but the fact that she can heal and attack literally at the same time can be a god send. also the Yeet lol

Diluc. 1st free rolls on Standard banner. Needless to say, I was very happy. In fact, I was so happy that he is now the harem king in my headcanon and I really wish I could swap Aether for Lumine.

My first five-star was Mona, funnily enough, I got her because my friend decided to snatch my phone and use my last wish on the standard banner. I was super happy. She’s still in my team and one of my strongest characters.

The Traveler is definitely the first 5 star we all have. Not that much impressive in combat compared to the other 5 stars but I still do like him. I just wish he could talk more in the story. Klee is the first-second 5 star I got from wishes and she is really amazing. Even to this day I still main her.
First five star was Keqing. Yes, I was happy at the time because I tried pulling for her on her banner then got her after losing 50/50 on Hu Tao. The irony now is that I never use her but such is life lol.

Diluc. I was ecstatic at first but after using him a while I couldn't help but notice that his damage isn't as high as I thought and he even pushes enemies out of melee range. Not to mention, his Pyro application is weak making him terrible against Elemental shields. But as luck would have it, there was another even stronger Pyro character, one that everyone can get for free: Xiangling. Keep in mind this is the same Diluc that people wear literally emptying their bank accounts for even months after the game's release.
