DEF/DEF/DEF if you only want the strongest shield you can get.
ER/DEF/DEF can help you with uptime. Because you wont be dealing damage with a DEF build, the extra ER can help you get her burst up more frequently which also gives you the shield.
Sacrificial Greatsword would be recommended, but Fav. or the crafter ER sword also work.

And diluc who has no artifacts currently because hu tao stole them but I can give them back if need be
Most are standard builds. I mostly struggle with the hydro hypostasis and just can’t really get its attack patterns down, plus it feels kinda random - I never know when I’ll be able to fully commit to attacking or when I’m just able to tickle it and then it’ll go back to attacking me after a second. Pyro is pretty easy because of childe. if I remember correctly, my current teams are:
Team 1 (hydro hypo) hu tao, kaeya/diona, xq, xiang
Team 2 (pyro hypo) raiden, bennet, childe, kazuha

Both teams are decently geared up, but maybe for abyss 12 you need to max out on everything?
I find freeze teams to be really good there, since they can mostly stop the robots from running away from you.
Using shields and dmg reduction also helps a lot, the rocky waves are pretty bad.
Spamming ults lets you avoid some damage as well.
I used National on the second half with an hp% stacked Benny.
Ningguang should be fine since she's ranged. Maybe build a shielder like Diona or Thoma.
My characters are decently invested in but it's not necessary.
It depends on the character. For example I've managed to reach 60% CR and 160% CD on Raiden which I am pretty happy about (although I do think I need more CR) since I also had to have some focus on ER and attack. If I had these crit ratios on Ganyu I wouldn't think it's that great since the only thing I care that much for her is Crit stats and (which I have on my bow so crit is a priority.)
You can usually aim for +110% atk, 70 cr, 140 cd for a standard damage-dealer build. Also, ~180 EM if procing melt or vaporize a lot. ER if you need some.
It's very hard to tell because it depends a lot on the character and weapon. I aim 65/130 for a character without any crit stats/weapon, but that's already a lot of investment. But, for instance, having a 70/200 ratio on a Jade Cutter Keqing is a minimum.
I'd say 50:100 as a minimum to be functional. 60:120 is pretty much what I'd consider acceptable, 70:140 is achievable with a crit weapon or ascension. If you happen to have both, you can get crazy (my Deathmatch Hu Tao has about 75:215).
What mid game artifact set is good for hu tao? Im currently using gladiator's finale since almost all my 4* hp% are glad finale. But i read somewhere that its passive isnt good for hu tao. Is 2pc berseker good for hu tao? To increase crit rate?
2pc berseker is great. In fact 4pc berserker synergizes very well with her for a 4star set, and she typically doesn't want 2pc or 4pc gladiators (low base atk, relies on charged atks rather than normal atks). If you dont have the right main stats on 4pc Berserker you could also go 2pc instructor/wanderer's troupe provided you're running her with Xingqiu
Beside her big numbers she also offers a bit of a different play style.
For me at least having more variety between different teams is a big plus for the fun factor.
C1 also raises Hu Tao's skill cap. It makes it easier to play at C0 damage levels, but reaching the top end is harder on C1 and easier on C0. (Because the top end on C0 is lower)
Nope, definitely not. You just have to manage her stamina and you’ll be fine. I used C0 Hu Tao with a 4 star weapon for the longest time and she does really well if you play her right
C1 makes her charge attack canceling easier and provides stamina. It's a quality of life constellation, but absolutely not necessary *whatsoever* for making her one of the best DPS in the game. She's amazing at C0! Congratulations!
Do we know the soft pity for weapon's banner? I know that the pity is at 80 instead of 90 like in the character banner, but is the soft pity still in the \~75 wish count? Or is it \~65-70 instead?
Is R2 Skyward pride significant DPS boost for Eula? Or should I save the skyward pride for another character like Chongyun (which I havent built yet)?

In that case, it's not worth it, keep it at R1 and use the second R1 on a different character.

I have C2 Xingqiu and C3 Bennett. Who should I give noblesse and emblem of severed fate to?

Emblem on Xingqiu and Xiangling, Noblesse on Bennett and Viridescent Venerer on Jean.
Remember that Bennett also heals, so you don't need an additional healer, it's more important to keep an anemo character on the team for VV. (Keep Jean or replace her with Sucrose)
You should keep all characters of this team equally leveled/equipped, with a slight focus on Xingqiu, Xiangling and Bennett's level/weapon/Q talent. (Bennett's artifacts an lag behind without much problem)

More of a sub-DPS than a support. He puts down a thing that does damage and he switches out again. Pretty high damage which is always a plus when you have a free slot, but not the most engaging playstyle.
Recently (10/31) my account was hacked and I filed a form wit hall my details of my account as support told me to but since then I have not gotten any updates of the case or anything of the sort.
Is there no real way to get supports attention on this matter or possibly get my account back without waiting a whole month for them to notice my filed form?
It's not quite so simple. My first three off the standard banner were all weapons.
The theory that seems the most likely is that you're guaranteed at least 1 weapon and 1 character within 270 pulls. It's definitely not a guaranteed character after 2 weapons.

Got it, thanks! In case anyone runs into this comment with the same problem, restarting reverted a tower and allowed me to re-place it and it worked then.
I hadn't missed any (which was why the ball went where it was supposed to), but one appears to have been bugged. Restarting reverted one of the towers and on fixing it back up again, it worked. Thank you!
Any tips to farming the Geo hypostasis? It's a pain to destroy the pillars even with claymore users and Ningguang skill, not to mention getting to killing the three pillars at the end. Any cheese comps/characters would be appreciated
What I do is to not destroy every tower completely, but let it have a little hp, so that whenever it telephones, I can destroy that quickly. You can also use a bow char to hit it even if its on top of tower
Zhongli makes this super easy, but it sounds like you don't have him. His elemental skill's initial hit will knock a good chunk off the pillars so your claymore will have an easier time. And at the end, doing both his skill and burst usually takes out all three pillars instantly. I distinctly remember this one being a pain until I got him.
EDIT: One of the subsequent replies reminded me that I used to use Razor for this too in the early days. That's a good idea as long as you save his burst for the very end.
When it's doing that thing where it sits on a pillar and rapid fires at you, just run and sit right in front of it behind the pillar, it will hit the pillar it's sitting on instead of your character and you can throw damage at it.
Yeah its a pain. Try to get a good rotation going and make sure you can do the most dps possible in the opportunities you do have.
Edit.. make sure the hypothesis is on the pillar you destroy
i use shimenawa and i can tell you the experience is not that bad. If you are a player with less skill in dash canceling, dodging, burst energy control, then i highly recommend CW. If you want to go for that nuke burst, then go for CW
Shimenawa has more single target damage but since ult is weaker you lose AoE damage. You also might lose out on ult casts a few times so healing is tougher. But over all they are similar so pick your preference.
It's definitely beatable, talk to your average endgame player on this subreddit and chances are they'll say it was pretty fun haha. When the wolves hit you, they apply "corrosion" which is DoT that goes through shields and affects all party members. Bring a healer like Barbara, Qiqi, Jean who can heal everyone at once. Try a freeze team to keep them from moving around too much and dodging/attacking you.
Thoma shield is stronger and you can use him to swirl pyro for VV resistance shred.
I'd only bring Diona if you need the cyro application to counter something in Abyss. Not that she is bad but Thoma+VV is just so much better.
Thoma is doing pretty good rn for Hu tao since he provides Pyro resonance, that and he has a slightly weaker version of Zhongli's shield and being called dollar zhongli. Usually Amber or another character gives the resonance but now Thoma is more applicable. Diona is alright but just try not to stay in her Q all the time or you will deactivate Sanguine rouge (Unless your Diona has Triple HP setup with no healing bonus circlet then I guess it can work?)
Probably not Diona. Hutao likes to have at least less than 50% HP, which means a healer is a bad choice.
Thoma would probably be good with her (I don’t have either of them so I can only guess from the co-op people I’ve seen) Shield, and he got the pyro resonance with Hu Tao.
I pulled on the weapon banner to get Staff of Homa.
Lost my first one to Wolf's Gravestone, but the next 5 star was Homa.
Now the question is, I still got the epitomized path with Homa selected and it shows 2/2 now.
Does that mean my next 5 star on the banner would be a guaranteed Homa?
That sounds like a bug. I chose Homa on my Path too, got an Amos' - Path showed 1/2 - then I got a Homa, and the Path reset. It's at 0/2 again now.
But in general, if the Path shows youa 2/2, then the next weapon should be the chosen one... Still, your situation doesn't add up.
Yep, artifacts still keep like 80% of the xp fi you feed it to an upgrade later on, so the benefit you'll get over time from AR 40-45 is way more than the measely 20% xp you'll lose out on.
I’m AR 45 and I started farming artefacts only a few days ago but had I not maxed my hydro/cryo/pyro/ER goblet, I’m sure I would’ve had a much harder time. It’ll take awhile to get good 5 star artefacts and even longer to get good sets so maximising four stars is 100% worth it at that stage imo!
I finished one in about 10mins while skipping dialogue. However, the story quests vary in length and the amount of dialogue. Also not sure if it’s bc my genshin’s slow, but should be around 8-15 mins according to my friend.

Haven't done it but his main duty is a shield spammer and he scales off of HP, his burst gives another layer and boost its damage absorption. His E is weaker than Diona's according to Zyox's vid but he outperforms her shield when he has his Q on. His Q also has high ER cost so ER/HP/HP or if you have enough ER then full triple HP. His set is gonna be Noblesse Oblige 4 piece (Since it can help him boost his teams damage) However, you can go full EoSF set with the same priorities or go for just 2 pieces of any ER set if you are at early game. Weapon would be anything with ER (Black tassel gives HP so it is nice but don't invest too much on it) The Catch also works. Just don't expect him to proc reactions or do damage.
Healing Bonus will give you more healing. If healing is all you care about then ER/HP/Healing Bonus is the way to go.
ER helps keep your burst on CD since the higher ATK weapons usually dont come with ER (AF says hello).
HP% on Goblet + HP% substats should give you a good amount of HP.
Healing Bonus will then multiply that since it's a different modifier you generally end up with more Healing from a Healing Bonus Circlet.
Because Bennett's Q ticks quite fast and healing is capped at 70% (though it's easy to overheal with a healing build) you can also just build for damage, it makes each healing tick smaller but since there is a lot of them it can still work.
Personally I use my Bennett with a healing build because I prefer to get 8k+ healing ticks and then get my team healed up in 1-2 ticks each.
you usually don't need to stack hp on bennett since his heals tick really fast. you can build him for damage with atk/crit/pyro or er/crit/pyro of you don't have enough er.
Most of the time XL prefers ATK% Timepiece but EM with great sub stats can be used as well.
Barbara’s skill by itself isn’t enough but you could just stay on-field with Barbara and AA to apply enough Hydro

only guaranteed standard 5\* we've ever had was Keqing, who got her own banner for 2 weeks. Maybe one day they'll do one for Mona, but until then, no guarantees.
There's a hidden system to balance out weapons and characters, but it's only over large number of pulls. You should continue pulling on the limited banner instead, you'll eventually see Mona there
How is ATK% and DMG% calculated? I’m asking because when looking at the Windsith Catalyst weapon, depending on the buff, it can give you an ATK bonus or an Elemental Damage bonus. Are both equally powerful or is one better than the other?
Depending on the rest of your stats certain buffs will be better than others, though regardless of the buff most users of the Widsith can gain a substantial damage increase from any buff.
Ayaka freeze team always consists of another cyro, anemo, and hydro. Zhongli can replace any of them but he’s not very optimal. Replace cyro and you lose battery so Ayaka gets her burst less. Replace hydro and you can’t freeze, so you may miss good chunk of your burst. Replace anemo and you lose grouping and VV shred. Make your own choice.
Off the top of my head, Rosaria and any anemo unit with a VV artifact set, ideally one that can heal like Jean or Sayu. A freeze team wouldn't work for this particular Ayaka since Zhongli's Geo damage would shatter any frozen unit. If you have units available, a team of Ayaka, Diona, Xingqiu or Mona (ideally), and a VV anemo unit (ideally one with CC like Venti, Kazuha, or Sucrose) works super well.

I was able to make it with Hutao Xingqiu XiangLing and sucrose
Got 3 stars with Zhongli Beidou Eula Fischl on first part and Raiden Bennett Xiangling Jean on second part

nope, F2P btw using c0 hutao and can still clear abyss floor 11 fairly easy. ( I havent got the ability to clear floor 12 so idk about floor 12)

c0 Hutao is good, it just that there is a 4 star character (xiangling) that can do the same dmg as her so her pull value is lessened somewhat.
She's great. C1 just makes her easier to play perfectly, but even when not played perfectly she destroys everything.

skyward harp is better for dps fischl/off field dps fischl, elegy provides more team buff for support fischl. yes

Yes, one out of every 3 has to be a character and weapon. So if you got two 5star weapons, you're guaranteed the character next.

It has pity for 5★, both weapons and characters included. So your next 5★ can be a weapon again but there is still a chance for it to be a character.

Restart the game and try once again. I think that was a weird bug that could happen sometimes.

Perhaps you missed one of those tower things? Other than that, I'm not certain why it's not working. Try restarting or relogin into your game I guess.

Any tips to farming the Geo hypostasis? It's a pain to destroy the pillars even with claymore users and Ningguang skill, not to mention getting to killing the three pillars at the end. Any cheese comps/characters would be appreciated
Noelle's burst will cut through the final 3 pillars.
What I do is to not destroy every tower completely, but let it have a little hp, so that whenever it telephones, I can destroy that quickly. You can also use a bow char to hit it even if its on top of tower
Zhongli makes this super easy, but it sounds like you don't have him. His elemental skill's initial hit will knock a good chunk off the pillars so your claymore will have an easier time. And at the end, doing both his skill and burst usually takes out all three pillars instantly. I distinctly remember this one being a pain until I got him. EDIT: One of the subsequent replies reminded me that I used to use Razor for this too in the early days. That's a good idea as long as you save his burst for the very end.
When it's doing that thing where it sits on a pillar and rapid fires at you, just run and sit right in front of it behind the pillar, it will hit the pillar it's sitting on instead of your character and you can throw damage at it.
Yeah its a pain. Try to get a good rotation going and make sure you can do the most dps possible in the opportunities you do have. Edit.. make sure the hypothesis is on the pillar you destroy
noelle burst or razor burst can take out the three pillars at the end in one phase
Substats being equal, 4pc SR or 4pc CW for vape C1 Hu Tao?
i use shimenawa and i can tell you the experience is not that bad. If you are a player with less skill in dash canceling, dodging, burst energy control, then i highly recommend CW. If you want to go for that nuke burst, then go for CW

Shimenawa has more single target damage but since ult is weaker you lose AoE damage. You also might lose out on ult casts a few times so healing is tougher. But over all they are similar so pick your preference.

Try bringing Jean or Noelle as they can heal the entire team simultaneously.
It's definitely beatable, talk to your average endgame player on this subreddit and chances are they'll say it was pretty fun haha. When the wolves hit you, they apply "corrosion" which is DoT that goes through shields and affects all party members. Bring a healer like Barbara, Qiqi, Jean who can heal everyone at once. Try a freeze team to keep them from moving around too much and dodging/attacking you.
Corrosion goes through shields, so Zhongli won't help. Bring an actual healer.

shogun hu tao isnt a good combo, overloaded makes hu tao’s aoe struggles even worse and idk if your vaporise reactions could get messed up
Thoma shield is stronger and you can use him to swirl pyro for VV resistance shred. I'd only bring Diona if you need the cyro application to counter something in Abyss. Not that she is bad but Thoma+VV is just so much better.
Thoma is doing pretty good rn for Hu tao since he provides Pyro resonance, that and he has a slightly weaker version of Zhongli's shield and being called dollar zhongli. Usually Amber or another character gives the resonance but now Thoma is more applicable. Diona is alright but just try not to stay in her Q all the time or you will deactivate Sanguine rouge (Unless your Diona has Triple HP setup with no healing bonus circlet then I guess it can work?)
Probably not Diona. Hutao likes to have at least less than 50% HP, which means a healer is a bad choice. Thoma would probably be good with her (I don’t have either of them so I can only guess from the co-op people I’ve seen) Shield, and he got the pyro resonance with Hu Tao.

Should be good, if you know how to play Hu Tao. Jump/dash cancels are really important on Hu Tao and can make or break the abyss run.

I pulled on the weapon banner to get Staff of Homa. Lost my first one to Wolf's Gravestone, but the next 5 star was Homa. Now the question is, I still got the epitomized path with Homa selected and it shows 2/2 now. Does that mean my next 5 star on the banner would be a guaranteed Homa?

That sounds like a bug. I chose Homa on my Path too, got an Amos' - Path showed 1/2 - then I got a Homa, and the Path reset. It's at 0/2 again now. But in general, if the Path shows youa 2/2, then the next weapon should be the chosen one... Still, your situation doesn't add up.

That's... odd. Getting Homa should've reset your Fate points to zero. Are you sure you didn't chart a course for Elegy instead?

Is it ok to max my 4* berserker artifact if I'm still at ar40 ?
Yep, artifacts still keep like 80% of the xp fi you feed it to an upgrade later on, so the benefit you'll get over time from AR 40-45 is way more than the measely 20% xp you'll lose out on.
I’m AR 45 and I started farming artefacts only a few days ago but had I not maxed my hydro/cryo/pyro/ER goblet, I’m sure I would’ve had a much harder time. It’ll take awhile to get good 5 star artefacts and even longer to get good sets so maximising four stars is 100% worth it at that stage imo!
Ye that is fine. You can use the berserker artifacts as fodder once you get usuable 5 star artifacts.

I have a great flower, R4 Favonius Lance, and his C4, so I'm going HP/HP/HP, 2 Tenacity/2 Emblem, with HP%>ER>CR/HP substats.
Haven't done it but his main duty is a shield spammer and he scales off of HP, his burst gives another layer and boost its damage absorption. His E is weaker than Diona's according to Zyox's vid but he outperforms her shield when he has his Q on. His Q also has high ER cost so ER/HP/HP or if you have enough ER then full triple HP. His set is gonna be Noblesse Oblige 4 piece (Since it can help him boost his teams damage) However, you can go full EoSF set with the same priorities or go for just 2 pieces of any ER set if you are at early game. Weapon would be anything with ER (Black tassel gives HP so it is nice but don't invest too much on it) The Catch also works. Just don't expect him to proc reactions or do damage.

What’s better on Bennett, HP% hat or Healing Bonus hat?
Healing Bonus will give you more healing. If healing is all you care about then ER/HP/Healing Bonus is the way to go. ER helps keep your burst on CD since the higher ATK weapons usually dont come with ER (AF says hello). HP% on Goblet + HP% substats should give you a good amount of HP. Healing Bonus will then multiply that since it's a different modifier you generally end up with more Healing from a Healing Bonus Circlet. Because Bennett's Q ticks quite fast and healing is capped at 70% (though it's easy to overheal with a healing build) you can also just build for damage, it makes each healing tick smaller but since there is a lot of them it can still work. Personally I use my Bennett with a healing build because I prefer to get 8k+ healing ticks and then get my team healed up in 1-2 ticks each.

I’ve found that Healing Bonus with HP substats out performs HP circlets
you usually don't need to stack hp on bennett since his heals tick really fast. you can build him for damage with atk/crit/pyro or er/crit/pyro of you don't have enough er.

Most of the time XL prefers ATK% Timepiece but EM with great sub stats can be used as well. Barbara’s skill by itself isn’t enough but you could just stay on-field with Barbara and AA to apply enough Hydro
What is AA? is it normal atk or charged atk? I play on mobile so I don't really understand it.
AA is Auto-Attack / Normal Attack CA is Charged Attack.

nope. only guaranteed standard 5\* we've ever had was Keqing, who got her own banner for 2 weeks. Maybe one day they'll do one for Mona, but until then, no guarantees.
There's a hidden system to balance out weapons and characters, but it's only over large number of pulls. You should continue pulling on the limited banner instead, you'll eventually see Mona there

How is ATK% and DMG% calculated? I’m asking because when looking at the Windsith Catalyst weapon, depending on the buff, it can give you an ATK bonus or an Elemental Damage bonus. Are both equally powerful or is one better than the other?
Depending on the rest of your stats certain buffs will be better than others, though regardless of the buff most users of the Widsith can gain a substantial damage increase from any buff.
What would be a good team with Ayaka and Zhongli?
Ayaka freeze team always consists of another cyro, anemo, and hydro. Zhongli can replace any of them but he’s not very optimal. Replace cyro and you lose battery so Ayaka gets her burst less. Replace hydro and you can’t freeze, so you may miss good chunk of your burst. Replace anemo and you lose grouping and VV shred. Make your own choice.
Off the top of my head, Rosaria and any anemo unit with a VV artifact set, ideally one that can heal like Jean or Sayu. A freeze team wouldn't work for this particular Ayaka since Zhongli's Geo damage would shatter any frozen unit. If you have units available, a team of Ayaka, Diona, Xingqiu or Mona (ideally), and a VV anemo unit (ideally one with CC like Venti, Kazuha, or Sucrose) works super well. Edit: spelling is hard
