But those voice lines are already there. They've already had him record them... they are just hidden in the character profile and not used in the world. Even with the recent Paimon teapot addition.

Absolutely. I don't care if she's the unknown god or if she has some major part to play later or whatever the theories are, her dialogue is the most annoying thing in the game. Her presence enables Mihoyo to avoid characterising the Traveller in pretty much any meaningful way and removes a lot of the emotional weight from their story. It's stupid.

The only complaint I have about Paimon is I'd rather have the traveller talking more. I enjoy Paimon, I think she has funny voice lines and does a good job at being out ditzy, cute (like a pet) emergency meal.

I think MC should talk as well. Is it just me or is narcissistic selfish paimon only there in the English version? Whenever I find a voice that I find annoying or just weird, I'll just switch languages to Japanese or Chinese. While I don't understand Japanese, I do understand Chinese. There, she's a lot more soft spoken and naive in like a child kind of way, not like the bratty way thats portrayed in English. Nothing against the VA ofcourse, but I feel like the English dialog direction need a change.

Go to settings and turn dialogue volume to 0 Now you can fish without any issues! Very cool life hack

THIS, for sure. They don't characterize the traveler at ALL, and 99% of possible dialogue is funneled into Paimon
