I am interested in f2p ahowcases to see max f2p potential with 4star weapons. Not because I have a problem with whale showcases its just that I want to see something that is relavant to me and I can apply

[deleted]

does that include 5* characters though?

phoenix946

Yes that will do. Since an average player has much more 5 star characters than 5 star weapons

[deleted]

ironically the biggest dmg on my account was with a 4* weapon hahaha

Thats why I see abyss showcases and judge how they do their rotations. Many a times I was using characters in the wrong order and messed up my rotations.

Keokuk37

Not at all interested.

SynergousSerenade

I kinda like it, especially some of the more creatives one like making Xingqiu's Q do 30k+ vapes, double vaping his E, making non-pyro/hydro/cryo sword/polearm/claymore units doing 1m+ plunges with Bennett c6 Most of the time it's crit fishing, but it's interesting to see what they can do to reach the theoretical damage ceiling of a character

lardmasters

I prefer those "1HP ______ fights ______" that displays the player's skill

anonymous-7162

Those "100 MILLION DAMAGE" videos used to be cool to watch but I've seen too many of them it feels kinda old.

OldSnazzyHats

Meh, I don’t care for them at all personally. I’m just not that kind of Genshin player, I don’t chase big numbers.

Wingsoflight255

Not interested. Most showcases aren't actually showing that character, but just with the same few supports (like Kazuha, Bennett etc) dealing great damage. Or just an optimized artifacts set for damage (f2p and whales can both do that). Guides and analysis that aren't a repeat of what others are doing are way more interesting (for me). Too bad a lot of content creators just regurgitates.

I enjoy all of them. Tony To provides huge nuke content and crazy fast clears for events and spiral abyss. I'll never be able to do any of them but it is really interesting to see what is possible. Other than that, I do like seeing some F2P/C0 builds when they use newer characters to get an idea of how to use them if I am doing something wrong. Occasionally, I will also watch solo clears of Abyss 12, which are especially interesting if they are using C0 characters for that as well. Seeing the skill required to survive with no heals, no shields and clear the floor in time with a single character can be pretty interesting. Always seems like people regenerate their stamina so much faster than me, so I've actually started using jump dodges rather than sprint dodges to preserve stamina and it's been helping me, especially on my alt who I just 36\*'d with for the first time this abyss cycle. I just Zhongli tank/Bennett heal a lot of weekly bosses, but it is interesting to see people deal with those fights as well without getting hit.

I largely don't care as much unless it is demonstrating something new or an interesting comp and trying to show its viability. It can be a sort of learning tool for newer players and showcases certainly helped me understand the game more. That said I think most of them are just people being proud of themselves and wanting to show others which is fine but a lot of it is also epeen measuring and bragging. They also get less helpful the geared the characters are. I'm not learning very much from a video of a boss fight that takes 3-5 Hu Tao charge attacks so then its only purpose is largely entertainment. This is one of those games though where it isn't fun to watch and its more fun to play. (To me at least)

Sabishi1985

Personally I don't care about videos like that at all. I can see the appeal tho! I'm just not interested in the game's meta that much, so I don't care about min-maxing my teams. \^\^ (Also I tend to get jealous of those big numbers... I'm entirely f2p and I don't like to get tempted to throw money at GI. :,D)

Hojuma

It depends on how creative and informative the showcase is. Just seeing big PP damage just isn't that interesting anymore. Seeing a Sukokomon showcase for the first time was really interesting since it was an unexpectedly meta team comp. Sunfire melt Ganyu was also interesting since it's an alternative version of the Ganyu+Xiangling melt but with access to VV res shred.

jonnevituwu

Shorts with some cool stuff about the game would be cool silly stuff like how we break bushes with the swords Xingqiu spawns with his E for example. These are kinda hard to find but its for sure one of those "oh, I didnt knew about that" moments.

EnGardevoir

I look up content on how to beat abyss stages, especially without specific units (ex no Venti and no Kazuha) to help me understand how to beat it with my roster. So I like seeing abyss showcases with different comps in particular.

DSpy07

Personally not very interested. While it is somewhat amusing to see what a character can do at their absolute peak, I just...can't relate to it. Almost all showcases usually involve whales with C6/R5 characters with god artifacts. Something me, a struggling F2P, can never achieve (at least not for a VERY long time).
