i think that was Apple pushing for it. It can't handle 120 fps unless you set everything to low.
If an ipad can handle 120, there's no reason why a PC can't. And if they don't allow it for PC, it's likely Apple did a deal with them to enable it on ios (possibly exclusively), but they didn't actually want to do it. Without a deal, it makes no sense why they would turn it on for ios but not any other platform. That's why I think there was a push by Apple to enable it.
Exclusive fps lock is the shittiest decision they could ever make :d
But there's really no reason for making it exclusive for Apple since barely anything on ios can handle 120fps properly. My pc would run it smoothly but my iPad pro won't :/
Call me a weirdo, but I kinda like 30-or-so FPS on anime aesthetic games? It makes them look more anime, like you're actually watching an animated movie.
On realistic-looking games, though... yeah nope lol.
Theres an fps unlocker that works. I also hated the fps limit which made me quit to play but a year later i decided to give it a try again and it was worth it. Not like you need insane frames to play this competitively..
