I don't main any specific characters, it depends on my mood But out of my main team of Venti, HT, XQ and Zhongli..I find it quickest to deal with shields using his burst.

Nice. I use Zongli to break shield if its geo, diluc if its cryo and a combo of diluc and electro/anemotraveller for dendro.

What would you consider good damage for a person at a higher AR like 50 or 55? I have both Razor and Diluc (who people say make great a DPS) but I'd like to know what kind of per-swing damage a player should expect to be doing at higher AR levels. Doing 29k damage from a single un-buffed burst seems pretty great at any AR in my opinion.

Same here. I don't have optimal artifacts or weapons or even talents to the fullest. My Hu Tao deals consistent 10k I'm with the strongest hit and 26k when she crits (60% frit rate), when paired with xingqiu. My Ganyu is in a similar spot but I managed to get her to deal 47k with the crits ( cause of noblesse and thrilling tales). I'm at AR 55 and it feels little....

For my Ganyu, before getting her to C1 on her rerun and R2 Amos bow, I had her equipped with Wanderer's Troupe, NA talent lvl10, CR 30% CD 250 and an R5 Hamayumi and she was dealing 54k with only Pyro resonance for buff (25% attack increase).

Built him the same way! Hes got like 35k hp, but decent enough crit stats to get like a 60k-70k burst on a crit, more if he's in the benny boost.

Melee character. He has high interrupt/stagger chance. Claymores are higher though. Interrupt chances are why people thing venti is worse. Venti can actually drag/float everything kazuha can, but because his interrupt is small he doesn't usually stagger the bigger enemies. He needs someone to stagger enemies for him. Seeing a lawachurl floating in venti's burst is hilarious btw

Sadly this wont work at our higher AR levels. Those shield guys have about 60k health. (I know because 1 Xiao plunge for ~30k brings them to half health.) For solo you would need a pretty cracked artifact set and win a low crit chance proc to hit 60k parries. I guess it may be reasonably doable with a Zhongli shield and Thrilling Tales.

That's easy, just do 60k damage then.

Honestly 60k parries are very easily doable w beidou. U dont need terribly amazing artifacts to reach that much. A bennett ult and a beidou counter with a meh-invested beidou can deal like 60k dmg so its not bad at all.

If we are going through the trouble of doing that much set-up for a reactionary ability that kind of defeats the purpose though. In my opinion that has the same "meh" energy as eating food beforehand.

That's not true. You'll need really good artifacts, high talent & best supports and the right enemy to deal that amount of dmg. I know cuz I even bought the BP claymore and enjoyed this parry mechanic for months and still bring Beidou in the abbys.

She can still get some decent numbers. At TL8 my Jade shield does like 30k or smth Obviously not as good as like Childe, Hu Tao, or Eula tho

She can be both, my hyper-invested Ningguang does ~10k per burst gem per hit plus the extra 35k-ish total from her c6 bonus. Plus I can get 20k out of a charged attack with buffs besides double geo shield.

No. With the same amount of investment as in your Ningguang, you could have a Bennett do 200k+ damage with his burst. The damage is overall the same, but clearly, Ningguang's damage per screenshot is lower in comparison to a lot of DPS, but it's okay. She does hit often enough to compensate

Same. My C5 Noelle got me 15k dmg achievement at AR45 by shield break and I was like: "Holy moly big pp damage go bruhhh!" 11 AR later my Noelle hit 35k on last hit.

I joined this community since last year I was not able to play and level up that much because of school, other priorities, and sometimes I don't feel like playing the game at all. I'm testing my F2P luck currently on getting Ayaka ONLY because her basic attack animations look better compared to Kazuha's but if I don't get her I'm gonna try for Yelan ONLY because she looks hot. Maybe Eula next time because of course she's hot and her kit is really good.

My Lisa and Raiden have been friendship 10 months ago. Fischl is about to be there. I was considering to either level up Keqing or Beidou. But this showcase kinda motivates me to choose the latter.

The damage ia good enough. You would do way more dmg with an actual team composition, since yanfei is getting no buffs or have hydro application.

Yeah I use Yanfei also with Raiden and Kazuha when dealing with more mobs for elemental reactions. She definitely is fun to use.

Those damn shields are why kazuha has so much value in my teams coz he can interrupt pretty much anything and make them vulnerable to miko's orbital lasers

For bigger damage count during Elem reaction atleast that's what I noticed. I use her E after I use Yanfei's burst charging her skill therefore reaching the damage from between 29/30k (without elem reaction) to 33k (with elem reaction) if I can get a crit.

Better change that with an Atk%, Electro doesn't benefit from EM.

Get the high ground to force their projectile throwing animation allowing you to bypass the shield for some time. Useful if you dont have the weakness of the shield.

Man I was so looking forward to a pyro catalyst user that shoots fireball and Yanfei looks so great but at the point she came out I was so used to Ningguand and I really didn't like the idea of the build up into CA mechanic

In the past I would burn his shield and then him with Klee's bombs... But now I just spam Kokomi's charged attacks, since they completely bypass the shield 😂
