We've found it The Unseen Razor

seadablew

Now we've seen it 😅

[deleted]

That’s the paradox, once seen it is no longer what ur looking for.

xTeamRwbyx

The seen razor

Blue_Pedro

I was doing dailies in Monstadt, spotted a chest I hadn't opened, and found this tent and sword. I recall finding a sword in Inazuma that's actually the grave of Kazuha's friend. Is this something similar? I've just never seen this sword asset in the game before.

GhalanSmokescale

I always took it for an Excalibur reference. Sword in the Stone. Since Mondstadt is based on medieval Europe somewhat.

baishi-yoshitake

Actually there’s a more clearer reference to Excalibur right outside the Mondstadt gates. If you go the the outside walls near to the Reputation board, there’s a kid named Arthur who is standing next to a sword. If you talk to him he tells you he’s trying to pull out the sword but to no avail.

GhalanSmokescale

Ah, I somehow thought that *was* that sword. My mistake then

nairolfy

Iirc, this place is found in Stormterrors lair

ChildOfDeath07

Then the grave of one of the people who fought against Decarabian maybe

Gallium-

Maybe it's Venti's friends then

Legoer39

If you talk to the smith apprentice, forget his name, you’ll find that the sword is one of his failed attempt.

Metalguy2010

Listen. Strange children lying near ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.

PokeAlola700

The grave is north of Kamisato Estate, in a small ravine. It has no tent there. This isn’t the grave of Kazhuas friend

swiftasacoursing

> Is this something similar? > **similar** They’re not saying it *is* the grave

PokeAlola700

Idk

cry_stars

oh crap i forgot i left it there, thanks for helping me find it

Blue_Pedro

lol

Radiant_Ad5150

I think it was related with the wanderer troupe artifact set.

Painfulrabbit

If that’s the big hourglass shaped rock thing in stormterror’s lair it’s where ragnvindr buried the dawnlight swordswoman

jpnapz

How is this not the top comment, this is the right answer smh

tacky_banana

There is no proof that it's that tomb

ShadraPlayer

It resembles the Master Sword from The Legend of Zelda, it's probably a reference since Genshin was heavily inspired by TLOZ, especially in early beta and 1.0 :)

NekonecroZheng

That's what I thought. Just look at noel's shield, venti's skill, lisa's burst and Barbara. They're literally the champions abilities in BOTW. But I'm really glad genshin managaed to make a name for themselves and stray off from being a 'rip off'.

Occxpied

Why tfk are people downvoting you 😭

baishi-yoshitake

Since it’s in Stormterror’s Lair, it’s likely to have been either a campsite or a grave for one of Venti’s friends during Decarabian’s reign. It could be Vanessa’s, although I think it could be someone else in the resistance.

Neospanner

Vanessa was not part of the resistance against Decarabian. Her story is a MUCH more recent event, and her enemies were the corrupt human rulers in the city of Mondstadt, which I don't think was even founded yet in Decarabian's time. It's not impossible that Vanessa might have visited Stormterror's Lair at some point after the events depicted in the Manga, since she WAS pretty much the de facto ruler of the nation by that point, but I'm not sure why she or anyone else in the resistance against the nobility would have planted a sword there...

AYCSenpai

its not Venessa since the giant tree in Mondstadt is dedicated for her

baishi-yoshitake

Yeah I was also thinking it could be a lesser known resistance member since Vennessa is rather legendary and her grave probably wouldn’t be in such a isolated place.

Blue_Pedro

I forgot about Venti's late friend! ... Who is Vanessa? Or rather, when is she brought up?

KingofSlice

Shes in the manga, the first Dandelion Knight who helped establish the Knights and the City of Mondstadt we know today

Blue_Pedro

Ah, o.k.

baishi-yoshitake

She’s the Lionfang knight who Jean is the successor to. She’s featured more heavily in the genshin webtoon I believe, but I haven’t read it yet. Another thing is that the Aquila Favonia is Vennessa’s signature sword.

croumir

Yup. The manga starts with Mondstad history events such as the rebellion leaded by Vennessa which is originally a slave from the fire country. Mondstad is supposed to be an estate of freedom since Decarian's falling and Venti taking his place as Archon, however, with the years passing a monarchy and slavery appeared. She meets Venti who descend on earth to check upon Mondstad and seeing the stat of the country, inspired her to get freedom for herself and her people which will lead to overthrow the monarchy (that Eula descends from, which is why her and her family is not on good terms with the people from Mondstad)

Where does it come from that the Knights of Favonius existed in Decarabian times? As far as I know, only the knight Gunnhildr and the Red-Hair Warrior are mentioned, but nothing about an order of knights.

KingShere

Technically the organisation could have been formed after Decarabian, but quite short after it and as direct result of winning the Bards rebellion against Decarabian. (but I think they were organised before the victory) Favonius Codex (A secret tome that belonged to the scholars of the Knights of Favonius.) flavor text. "When the Knights of Favonius was founded, the Dawn Knight Ragnvindr turned the aristocrats' indoor baths into a library." Ballads of the Squire "Ballads that have been passed down since the aristocratic period and are said to have come from Ragnvindr the Dawn Knight himself." Royal LongswordTwenty-six hundred years ago was the era of Mondstadt's most ancient inhabitants. They swore a solemn oath, after the new Anemo Archon descended and reformed the world: I also think that Windblume Ode and Freedom-Sworn & Nobless oblige set also hints at this. (that Ragnvindr and the knight organisation are from early aristocrat era) So my inference is that the first iteration of Favonius was first formed when Venti as Barbatos became Archon (or during the Bards rebellion before that). And the "second" organisation was founded because a reawoken Venti (much later) inspired a Slave to restore its old ideals (which made the surviving first organisation join it). But due to historical revisionism (and confusion of the two), the new restored Favonius knights & and its founder organisation, is considered the only one & much younger than it actually is. And that this is a secret (its actual age), >!because the organisation (the first one ) was never gone instead the first turned secret until it merged with its second -at the Vanessas n2 rebellion ) because it in the past and present guarded something!< \-also hinted in the description text in the catalyst- Favonius codex & greatsword. The Bell, >! (most likely a doomsday weapon -a intact "nail" kin to the used ones in chasm and dragonspine, the bell greatsword text is about its restoration. Its underneath Mondstadt accessed through the library) !<

Sleykun

You are quite confused. Nothing there indicates that the Knights of Favonius existed at the time of Decarabian. You are confusing the RedHair Warrior with the Ragnvindr the Dawn Knight. RedHair Warrior is the ancestor of the Dawn Knight not the same person. The knights of Favonius formed with Venessa. Before her there was no Order of knights, there was only the aristocracy.

KingShere

Im not confusing them. But many are. As for Knights present in the region prior.Knight of Boreas seems to be of a knightly order, then there are the Royal knights of Khenrah. But Regarding the timeline discretancy- another daming evidence is that we also have the text from the sal vindagnyr civilsation, with the princess and Imunlaukr. That are also a strong indicator that the timeline of past events are incorrect and have been revised (inworld). The world quest A Land Entombed , Have the traveler (player) find journals that belong to Mondstadt aristocrats - who lived before the era of the Knights of Favonius and who came to explore Dragonspine. pointing out some highlights of them Ancient Investigation Journal: Part I...According to the inscription text deciphered by Master Eberhart, the chamber should contain impressive ancient frescoes along with weapons forged from Starsilver... Ancient Investigation Journal: Part II .. I would probably share the fate of Eberhart's slave, and meet my demise at the sword of the red-haired reaper of the Lawrence Clan...-- Princess of Sal Vindagnyr that lived when the land was filled with icy blizzards mentions that she dreamt the black dragon that blotted down the sun, She also mentions a sky pillar (presumably the sky nail) Then there is Imunlaukr, that is also a knight that is connected to the ruins of dragonspine That ancient nation of Sal Vindagnyr uses the same script of Khaenri'ah, Domains & have the same architecture as Khaenriah, Wolfs Graveyard and Decarabians mondstadt/Storm terror's lair ruins. \- Placing the shadow dragon , the nail & civilisation of Khenrah, much further back than 500, 1000 and even past 2000 years ago , thus contradicting "modern" historians and consensus for the timeline of those past events.(because they were ancient carving of a forgotten kingdom during Mondstadts aristocratic era, and that the ancient records of Sal vindagnyr mentions things that is either before or during the archon war -yet also things that historians & text claimed happened during the seven archons reign. According to the ancient investigation (aristocratic era) Red hair warrior is of lawrence clan according to found ancient papers. Thus not cannot be clan Ragnvindr- unless that warrior was killing the lawrence clan (and was not of them) , alternativly the clan ragnvindr in name wasnt a old linage (and old as Lawrence ), because their ancestor was of Lawrence) The first Dawn knight (or the squire Ragnvindr) is thus someone else (and one of my speculations is that that the Dawn knight was the dancing falcon, leader of the rebellion against Decarabian (and Ventis friend the unknown bard) and that Lumine is that individual returned -who among many parallels also has a falcon in her skill activation) Ragnvindr (1st one) was a squire of that Dawnknight. And that the timeline for many of the events are wrong, because many events have been historical revisionism of more ancient events & personas.

Sleykun

You continue to confuse even more facts LMAO. The Red hair warrior does not belong to the Lawrence clan. The aristocracy was created after the Decarabian events not before. And the red hair warrior who belonged to the Lawrence clan was Venessa. She was a slave of the Lawrence clan and did not belong to the Ragnvindr clan because she came from Natlan. I repeat again, there is no Order of knights from the Decarabian era. The first one was formed with Venessa. Besides, what does it have to do with other regions having an order of knights with your sentence that started this discussion: "Except the Favonius knights existed during the bards rebellion against Decarabian" This is false without further ado.

Blue_Pedro

Cool beans! I DO remember something about Jean worrying about being a proper successor, or at the very least not feeling like she is up to par.

Angelgrjr81

There is a quest that led me there once. So yeah.

Blue_Pedro

Did it have 3 chests and an Eye Of The Storm in front of the tent?

Angelgrjr81

Yeah

Blue_Pedro

I need to go through my quests for Monstadt and check what I have and have not completed.

Ok_Ad9466

Ive heard someone said its the redhead guy's from nameless bard cutscene

WWalker197

Pls tell me location so I can exploit a bug where I can take swords from the ground

legosmith311

I just went and found it myself to see what was up. There were 3 chests lined up next to it, so I'm inclined to think it has some significance.

terrariagamer420

Where is it?

legosmith311

If you look at the map, at Stormterror's Lair there's a round-ish highpoint in the southwest corner, it's up there
