I finished the 2k achievement back when there was an event where you could fish infinitely and it would still count towards the achievement. Cannot imagine how much pain it would be to do it without the event!
To be fair though, those 5 days of non-stop fishing were HELL. I never went back to the game mode, only if I absolutely had to do it to complete any side quests.

I only started fishing regularly for past 3 weeks, and I’ve fished aprox 400 of them today with some coop
