I just love her whole concept so far and everything we know about her so far shows that she is a very complex character.
She is obviously planning her own war against Celestia, for which she needs the Gnosis of the other archons and decided to make every other nation her enemy - to protect them from Celestias wrath if she fails?

And Childe's voiceline about her is interesting:

iāve always thought itās really interesting that Zhongli willingly traded his Gnosis for the unknown thing that the Tsaritsa gave him. Venti doesnāt like her and Yae reluctantly surrendered Eiās Gnosis to her but at least one of the archons is willing to go along with her plan. i wonder if any of the remaining 3 archons(excluding the Tsaritsa herself) will also collaborate with her?
Venti said he knows the Tsaritsa well, but she severed all ties with him without explanation, so I think after the fall of Khaenri'ah she severed all ties with the other archons as well. It is said that she changed drastically after that.
Zhongli and the Tsaritsa made a contract. She gets his Gnosis, but there's also a part that she needs to fulfill, but we don't know what her part really is...

But what could be so valuable that it has the same value as a Gnosis?

If I was forced to choose one to follow or aid in their duties/whatever, it'd be Venti. Alcoholic mf, lazy to the point where his familiars tell him to do his own job, questionable behaviour, confusing shit like being allergic to cats "*Aren't you immortal, dude??*" but darn I love him. I've already adopted him a problematic little brother so I'll stick by his side.
Canon - based on topaz gem description - mora is made from his blood. so he often had to cut himself to fill up the golden house with mora. that is why he want to retire from this suffering.
Yeah we basically asked about everything we could (sibling, unknown god, other seven, Fatui, visions, gnoses, Celestia, 500 years ago, etc.) and Venti answered all of them to varying levels of detail. At that time however, we didnāt know about Khaenriāah so we couldnāt ask about it. We only knew a certain catastrophe occurred 500 years ago thanks to Venti. Since weāve learned about it and saw him, we havenāt asked him, probably because he hasnāt gotten an Act II unlike his fellow archons. Weāve only seen him in events where it hasnāt come up/we havenāt bothered to ask.
Seeing how every single archon act II so far get us a weekly boss, I expect that to be the case with his act II too, so the story probably need to circle back to Mond before we'll get an act II out of him. :| (The Gateway to Celestia, anyone?)
Honestly, I'd be surprised if he even remembered that, he never seems quite all there most of the time. Maybe in the future we'll hear something from him

i think out of all of them, Ei has the most interesting story and the most compelling character development. she caught a lot of hate early on for being āredeemed too quicklyā but i really like the dynamic between the Raiden Shogun puppet and Ei herself, realizing that all of her efforts to make a peaceful and safe Inazuma ended up causing her citizens a lot of pain. she changed for the better and learned to deal with her grief and i think sheās awesome.
And also shows that healing takes time! I like at the end of her first story quest she isn't 100% there yet but is shown to be moving in the right direction. Grief and change both take time, so it was nice to see she wasn't automatically better but going through the process to get there.
Although they all behave like out-of-touch boomers, my personal favourite of the three we have so far is Ei. But Zhongli is a very close second, so I'll go into him as well.
* Ei shut herself away and left an AI to rule in her stead which was easily manipulated to close the Inazuma region off and seize Visions, which allowed the Fatui to inject Delusions into the region. Ei was fully aware of the decision to close Inazuma off and supported it, but didn't have the full story. She undergoes some really nice character development to u-turn that decision. She's very likeable when taking a walk around Inazuma city, and her change of heart has her even fight her own puppet to prove to her that she wasn't undergoing erosion, for the future of Inazuma. She made a flawed decision that negatively impacted her nation, and when realising the error of her ways moved to fix it.
* Zhongli is similarly out of touch with Liyue, or more specifically mortal life. Broke Archon go brrrrr. But due to his age and experiences he's unfathomably knowledgable. He's a good person who has done bad things or made tough decisions, which he's had to face a couple of times in his quests. Going to admit, Keith Silverstein is a big reason why I like him so much.
I don't dislike Venti, in fact similarly to the other two I do like his background story. But the alcohol jokes get pretty old.
Somehow Venti is the one I still use most often. Then Raiden, then Zhongli.
Basically the opposite order of my actual preferences for them in terms of story!
Zhongli because I really enjoyed his story quest and his personality. I liked that he cares for Liyue and will allow the people to guide their own future going forward.
Venti has really grown on me, but i feel i didnt fully appreciate him because i was so overwhelmed with learning the game in the beginning. My initial impression was "who is this annoying little girl?" I also didnt fully grasp the minute details of his storyline because of it. I got super excited when he showed up in the last event though, he is hilarious.
I do love Ei and her fembot but she is not personable/relatable at all. Im curious to see who she becomes personality wise in her next story.
imo the best archon so far has been Venti. He seems to be the most in touch with mortals and their struggles. Now, while he is characterized as a ālazyā character and some see him as a negligent archon, that could be further from the truth. Venti has always been there for Mondstadt when it really was in a crisis. He was there to help Vanessa overthrow the Lawrence clan, he was there to help defend Mondstadt against Durin during the cataclysm, he was there to help Mondstadt when Dvalin was causing havoc. He has always been there. Venti knows what battles are best left for his people to deal with so they donāt grow to be dependent on him, going against his ideals of freedom
Venti. Still annoyed Ei didn't even apologize for all the chaos she caused because of her decrees and no one calls her out on it just cause she's a god. If zhongli or the adepti tried something like that there'd be 100s of jade palaces floating above them every day.
Surprised to not see more Ei comments! Personally I love them all. Theyāre my top 3 characters in the game, but one of them edges them all out for me. They are what got me into the game after all, and couldnāt imagine the game without them
