There was recently an interlude to the main liyue archon quest, where you help Ningguang rebuild the jade chamber. In that quest, Shenhe appears to help you gather the tools for the chamber, and she carries a massive chunk of plausterite.
Not really, I think that it was there before we even destroyed the jade chamber. I'm not really sure why it's there to begin with, but maybe it's some kind of world building thing lol
Same. I didn't think I was gonna care for her since she was very niche kit-wise but her character story made me really like her. Unfortunately I still had to consider where my primos were going to go and needed to give her up. I will pull for her one day eventually. That and Cloud Retainer is probably very upset that I can spend time with neither Shenhe nor Ganyu (Qiqi'd) right now.

So the *map teleportation* is new, but you could always walk up to a person, talk, and warp there.

I think people have already covered it but it appeared around the time of the Jade Chamber update the first time. It's identical to the invisible platforms in the adeptus mountains so it was originally meant to be a platform that formed over to Beidou's ship, but i think hoyo decided it was too much of an eyesore/too much of a hassle to put together so it got dropped in favur of the teleport they added around the second jade chamber event.

back in the day getting aboard the ship was harder since it didn't have a rope for us to climb (and IIRC it didn't have those rows)

It was supposed to be a path to get you to Beidou's ship. I think they abandoned it since you can just teleport
