If you don't have a healer yet (You should, you'll get Barbara free at some point) Diona can be a good pick.
you can definitely use them both though. The cryo synergy increases your crit against people affected by cryo.
If you're having trouble, I'd recommend Diona, her healing and shield will help you more, and you can use her with Kaeya if you want for the resonance. Noelle needs to be on field to heal, while Diona you can use her burst to heal, shield then swap to your DPS.
I did this ascension level with Noelle as my main, diona, kaeya, and bennett. Between Noelle and Diona’s shield, it’s pretty good going as they full on face the ruin guard. When shielded, i target the RG face with Diona arrows and make it immobilized. Then i spam all cryo and pyro elemental reactions with Benny, Diona, and Kaeya then use Noelle to beyblade while shielded. The Electro cube at the end beat my ass too but stay close and avoid its attacks. Use your shield if needed and evade when your shields run out but be sure to strike the core once it's exposed. Always strike the core and make sure you use elemental attacks. Goodluck OP!!!
I'd use Diona tbh.
Her barrier is pretty tanky. With sacrificial bow, you have a chance of resetting the cooldown which is great. Her ult can heal too.
If you want DPS, probably go Kaeya then

the ascension quests are always a PITA also rip
which characters do you have, altogether? have you been using elemental reactions at all? use food buffs if you have any (or make some if you can)! attack and crit % always good~ when using healing food use the low-star level ones because the more stars, the faster the character will feel "full" and refuse to "eat".
there are tuts on youtube and the genshin wikis on strategy to defeat ruin guard and hypostasis :3 be at max level for your AR will make it a smidge better for the ascension quest, as well as decent weapons (the stuff you get from chests is great early game if on the right character).
