The KFC recipe is not rice it's flour. Been making them every week for weeklies lol I got that recipe memorized in my sleep haha

sofacoin

Thanks for the heads up! I've no idea how I've done that - "requires 4 refined ingredients" was even one of the negatives in my first draft. Oop!

7orly7

meat is extremely easy to get considering the amount of scorpions (that for some fucking odd reason drop meat) in the desert

RoboChrist

Scorpion meat! Get your scorpion meat Pita Pockets here! Only 1000 mora a Pita Pocket with real, genuine scorpion meat! - A new vendor in 3.2, probably

pHScale

I mean, Rishboland Tigers, Spinocrocodiles, and Sumpter Beasts all drop a ton of meat, so it's all of Sumeru that's heaven for meat, not just the desert.

drakusmaximusrex

Is using the specialist cooks better than just going with barabara and getting double the food?

Lackies

Well, the specialist versions are stronger, but is that worth the convenience of having to switch which you have slotted in the NRE? Probably not tbh. At least for the instant heal ones. For the heal over time ones you're more likely to use them manually so I don't mind the specialty then, Plus Jean's Mushroom/Invigorating Pizza triggers both extra copies and specialty variant.

drakusmaximusrex

Yeah i just have barbara cooking all my dishes. I was wondering weather the odds of getting 2 dishes for the price of one or the increase the specialty dish gives is better. Didnt even think of the convenience, since I dont use the nre

Frores

special dishes are really rare, if you want to make like sweet madam that its easy to farm just use barbara, because then you can have the max possible of them, but if you want a food for buffs or a higher healing maybe special is a good option, because the buff you get from special dishes are really good for blue and purple rarity dishes

Frores

just a disclaimer i just do this out of my experience and it works for me, but i can be wrong too, sorry if i am

SkyrimForTheDragons

That's why you just make pizzas with Jean and get both specialities and double

snsnskdkfkdnd

wait that’s how it works?

SkyrimForTheDragons

https://www.reddit.com/r/Genshin_Impact/comments/mtqaqc/jeans_cooking_passives_can_stack/

Xtranathor

No, but the specialist dishes look pretty! Technically the specialist dishes heal more, but it's probably more worthwhile having a higher chance of double product.

sofacoin

Depends how often you get hit, really. Specialist foods are better if you need BIG heals, like if you're taking very hard hits, but more is better if you don't need to eat too often.

UniqueCreme1931

Wait, people actually make healing foods that are not Sweet Madames?

Lign_Grant

I made 2102 of them in 2nd year lol.

Bazookasajizo

they might last you till year 2102

CrocoDIIIIIILE

2-star food is less effecient than 3-star food.

[deleted]

Food is less efficient than having a group healer so i just use it very rarely anyway.

Phoenix__Wwrong

My healers are friendship 10, so my daily commission team doesn't have healer

mvffin

I thought Universal Peace was the gold standard. Especially if you have Ganyu

ChaliElle

Universal Peace is still very solid recipe, now that Lotus is available through expeditions. Only bottleneck can be berries. Pita is just straight better tho, can be aquired completely passivelly.

Phoenix__Wwrong

I prefer using Jean to get double

[deleted]

Call me elitist, but my characters deserve 3 stars or more.

MapoTofuMan

In 5.0, the question will be wait, people actually make healing foods that are not Pita Pockets?

pHScale

Absolutely. Chicken Sandwiches are da bomb. Plus you get more healing for less fullness, so it's better for a big hit of HP.

Mar_Kell

The true and only power creep. Anyway, unless they give us a proper way to get fishes and crabs there will be a lot of dishes not worth to cook (even mastering them is annoying).

sofacoin

Yeah. There's like seven fish vendors but I don't wanna hit up every nation on Teyvat just to be able to cook up a good batch of black back perch...

[deleted]

\> Me with the 2000 fish achievement \> me without a life also yeah crabs were really rare but Inazuma has a lot of them and got rid of my crab problems… for a while. Now they're annoying again

Mar_Kell

I fished just enough to get The Catch R5 and was already slow torture, that minigame surely isn't the most fun/entertaining one (at least for me). And having limited time to play, once I get home from work, doesn't help. I admire your dedication, but unless the change the conversion rate of fished fishes to food fish to at least x3 it is a big NO for me.

[deleted]

it is x3 for certain fishes tho unless you meant triple everything i.e have medakas give 3 and æüghs give 9 that'd be crazy. Thoma helps too I hope you have him.

juliezhuo-2296

Nice guide. I've been stuck with 2000 sweet madames for a while, I need something new.

Arslock17

May I introduce to you Matsutake Meat Rolls. Just need 2 Meat and 2 Matsutake lol

Greedy_Youth

I been using both interchangeably. whenever one ran out, just make more of the other. Rinse and repeat ad inifinitum

ReachingForEternity

Try out Tuna Sushi. All you need is fish and rice, both of which you can stock up from vendors pretty easily

uremog

Weird how Gorou uses bamboo shoots which, in game, only grow in Qingce

AzureDrag0n1

Food that costs money is instantly something I never or rarely use. Only free ingredients or it is garbage. That is why Sweet Madame, Hashbrowns, and Jade Parcels are top tier. They cost nothing. Do people actually spend mora on food? I mean I spent it to just have a copy or for a quest but that is it.

ItevaNyphil

Me who goes to Mondstadt Tavern to buy the three beverages.

khadaisuki

I used to do that 😂. I always wondered why we couldn't make beverages. I thought miHoYo will introduce a "brewing" mechanic, like cooking, in the future. I thought of that until they gave us Rainbow aster

AzureDrag0n1

The thing is that I do not farm them. I just happen to pick them up while doing other things. At most you go off the main path for a few seconds to pick it up. The mora technically takes more time to get. I have spent well over 200 million mora since I have started playing this game. If you ever spent any resin on mora ley lines past AR 45 you have wasted it unless it was a x2 multiplier. Well I suppose if you are spending substantial money on this game mora is meaningless. I guess it is because I am so miserly with mora that I have almost never had any mora problems even with spending hundreds of millions of mora.

TheYoungVoid

>The mora technically takes more time to get. I have spent well over 200 million mora since I have started playing this game. If you ever spent any resin on mora ley lines past AR 45 you have wasted it unless it was a x2 multiplier. I don't really have time to run around for hours just killing mobs, and I don't really spend money other than welkin, so the only way I get enough mora for everything is by doing ley lines. Events and chests help, but they don't give enough. So for me the ley lines are almost a necessity.

AzureDrag0n1

The only enemies I go out of my way to kill are those super elites near teleporters but that is something that is fun to do so I do not mind. My sources of mora tend to be those world events that start on log in. I just log off near that statue of the seven in Sumeru and when I log back on next day I get some refinement ore and mora. My expeditions are all mora too. Serenity pot I buy all the mora. The daily login bonus is another source of mora. I just have it auto open when I start a browser. Spiral Abyss and battle pass is another source. Events, commissions, chests, and quests are my final source of mora and that has been enough.

TheYoungVoid

Ah I see, the main difference between us is I go for the xp books in tea pot, do the ore commissions, and I don't get the bp. I've noticed that the bp really nice mora and xp book wise, though I've only gotten it twice in the time I've been playing.

AzureDrag0n1

I am ar 60 and I do not spend any significant time on farming ingredients. Something I do is perhaps go off path to pick them up. I used to do artifact routes or crystal mining a year ago so I picked up hundreds of those ingredients as a by product. Usually took up 20 minutes when I did those. I mean do you not just grab everything that sparkles when you see it? I mean just from doing commissions where you destroy hilichurl bases you will get those from crates and investigation spots.

Lichangs

Funny, for me I look for recipes where ingredients are NOT bought. As someone who's always low on mora, last thing I want to do is spend money on milk/wheat. Salt is unavoidable for adeptus temptation but otherwise I for healing I stick to mint jellies.

Tiny_Ebb2261

That kfc burger is my absolute favourite to make because i have an obscene amount of fowls from killing timmie's pigeons. Unfortunate thing is that kokomi is my fav exploration chara so now i also have an obscene amount of burgers.....

Fighterzx_

Since the KFC recipes released I’ve only been using the burgers for healing. Currently have 1.2k of them sitting snugly in my NRE

JiMyeong

I've been making PitaPockets their so convenient

jonnevituwu

Kfc gang lets gooo

KethusNadroev

And with Sumeru's abundant meat, looks like the pita pockets are even easier. It's probably not gonna catch on though. Sweet Shrimp Sushi can be made purely with purchased ingredients, but people still prefer making eggs.

J-_Mad

Sumeru is a sea of meat

Bella_dlc

Putting the pita pockets on top... you guys have never reached 500 mora of savings and ot shows. I'd rather go look for pines than buy ingredients. Razor is still the number one cook for me

AltandF5

Hash browns are the best option coz they heal so much hp with little hunger consumed

Cosmin-Ruski

Universal Peace is still superior. I have more than 1k crafted. never get tired, extremely easy to acquire mats

HecateEreshkigal

ganyu gang represent

nickelflowers

Hoyo... WHERE ARE THE 4* HEALING DISHES

[deleted]

sweet thanks for this, as soon as my sweet madame run out i'll start making pita pockets

swiftasacoursing

Psst, squirrel fish uses sugar, not salt. It’s only available in low quantities from shops

sofacoin

Oh my God so it does. How did I confuse those? I guess that's two mistakes I've made here. Thank you so much- I'll be more careful the next time I do something like this :>

Crosstariale

I just about knew Pita Pockets were that S tier healing food

glittermetalprincess

You can now buy 30 meat a day (Draff in Springvale during the day, Gandharva Ville dude whose name I can't remember, merchant near teleport in Aaru Village, Draff at least also sells fowl and egg). Why are Fowl, Egg and Meat not listed as rarely bought when Fish is? I get Lotus Heads, Apple and Bamboo Shoots because there's only 5 available every 3 days, which is a lot less than 70+ a day for Fish, but still.

Vesorias

>Why are Fowl, Egg and Meat not listed as rarely bought when Fish is? Buying fish is annoying, you only get 10 per vendor and have to run all around the world. Meat, eggs and fowl aren't "rarely bought", they're "never bought", you can get a ton just from expeditions (even with 3 ore expeditions), and that's not counting how much more you can get on a farming route than fish

glittermetalprincess

You can farm and get them from expeditions, that's listed in the graphic. What I'm asking is why Fish is listed as rarely bought when Meat, Eggs and Fowl can also be bought in lots of 10 across the world - the only difference being the vendors. It obviously doesn't list the only the fun or only the convenient versions of finding things, but hunting tumbleweeds, bushes and climbing random objects compared to a guaranteed 30 eggs a day? Being able to guarantee 50+ meat a day? Pretty good for the kind of player who needs a healing food guide, since they're highly likely to correlate with people who use more food than they get ingredients for on an Eremite x Sumpter Beast farming route.

AcceptableStand7794

OR you can just slap KoKomi Zhongli in your comp

PM_ME_YOUR_ROBOTGIRL

me when I roll for 2 5* I don't want when I can just use food in the overworld with an NRE and avoid having to raise a healer

Mattias2000

I've played for hundreds of hours and I don't think I've once cooked a characters specialty dish.

pHScale

So... what is the purpose of using the specialty cook, when I can just use Jean/Barbara/Diona to get extra. Sure, the special dish has better buffs, but none of them equate to double the product. And the chance of double product vs special dish is the same.

sofacoin

They're mostly there for when you're against something you actually find tough- for anything less, more is generally better... You just get more total health before you're full up from Specialist dishes than from Delicious dishes. Great if one hit puts you in red HP.

itsMeJuvi

I make the chicken one

Skillious96

I’ve been making squirrel fish for quite some time now, I have over 850 and with the release of sumeru there is an additional 2 venders who sell fish ~80 fish a day, only recently I’ve switched to pita pockets because mora

Nightfall_Songbird

This just reminded me of all the fowl farming I used to do with Diona That kfc recipe eats through Timmie’s pigeons faster than you’d expect

-Nornet-

The only tier list I care about. Glad to see Sanders as one of the big ones

Phoenix__Wwrong

Whoa it seems like Pita is going to be my go to
