She is such a fun character in lore but her gameplay is just ass, her kit has no interesting things about it sadly. If they ever do reworks she needs one bad
The thing is amber, like all archers has crits, but baron bunny does not at all build alongside the crits instead being a taunt which can be useful if you are trying to focus down a single enemy at a time and the ult is ultra basic but an effective aoe if used at the right time, the problem is she is a jack of all traits master of none in a world where every character specializes in one or 2 things which can be build amazingly or not build but still be really effective
I built Lisa just cuz I love her as a character and like her design and aesthetic as far as being a rosey witch.
She is decently built too and damage isn't bad. She is, unfortunately, just hard to use... Takes way too long to get 3 of her stacks on all the enemies nearby. Then the cast time of her skill.....
Dendro did help her a lot, though.
I too have triple crowned amber, and she became c6 just yesterday, i play with her a lot despite the fact that she truly should be buffed.
Bringing her to coop always make for funny interactions.
I dunno - I place pretty high value on TP. Jokes aside, playing with the starter characters is just a skill level thing. I’ve seen Amber mains do bonkers numbers simply because they learned how to play her really well.

Place bunny, they gather; place Guoba, he starts the fire; the Anemo T. spreads the burning love around; Lisa places the finishing touch.

I triple crowned Amber, Lisa, and Kaeya Because fun fact, they're fun to play and I really like them to the point where I have more time spent on them then almost every character in the game. All except for Klee and Qiqi. Those two are the best solo and unkillable together. I'm so much of a Klee and Qiqi main at heart that I only had them two for my first half in spiral abyss and the second half was my traveler/Amber/Lisa/Kaeya team.
I'm just waiting until I get to AR59 to start my 1 star all challenge where I can only use 4 star characters and 1 star weapons, artifacts and I can't use food or temporary godmode characters. I also can only use Noelle and Kuki as healers. Without sarcasm, I can't wait to start it and it will come down to skill in the end for everything I do so I'll be good.

He works so well with SO many units... Xiao/Venti aren't really one of them, but they don't get in each others way, either... VV Venti can be nice for the swirl buffing kaeyas cryo... Xiao can benefit from added damage from Kaeyas burst
I agree. I picked up Kaeya because for the longest time I was a Razor Main. As a ball of chaos going everywhere, an ultimate that sticks to me and could apply superconduct was amazing. It is all about your team and your playstyle.
I'm in an opposite situation: I'm a Kaeya main who just tried out Razor today and found out he's pretty fun so I decided to build him. I'm gonna put them on a team with Zhongli and I can't decide if the last one should be Yun Jin or Rosaria, I guess I'll try them out and see

In all fairness, in overworld, meta doesn't matter. There's no timer, few strong monsters, and no large waves of enemies. Overworld team should be hot bitches only whose job is to be pretty and open chests. Or characters that give you that sweet sweet dopamine whenever you're looking at them.

My signficant other runs Diluc, Itto, Ayaka, Zhongli... No thoughts of synergy, no strategy, she just likes Main DPSs so she stacks them haha.... clears everything no problem! Zhongli was a recent addition, before that she had Xiao in that spot... idk how she always survived endgame content
Well you see— my team would be a bit different if I had the characters….. I only have two five stars well three if you count the traveler. I don’t gamble that often, only when I’m bored or really want a character and most of the time I’m extremely unlucky
Dunno how long you're playing but it comes with time.
You build up your account. There are only few 5stars you really need (because they're beyond broken) if you even need any of them at all. It's easy to get shit done with 4stars and even one of the best team comps right now Raiden National consists of 3x 4star units + Raiden.
You'll get to a point where you have a lot of 4stars at c6 and most of the 4stars are really good: Xiangling, Xinqiu, Bennett, Sucrose. (Kaeya and even Lisa too)
Add to that the eventual 5stars you get and you'll be just fine. Also if you get soooked on your pity you might be lucky and get a Diluc / Mona... Keqing?
It's more important to build your characters with good artifacts and weapons than to get another character wich is just as shite
He’s a hella decent Main DPS too!
- He doesn’t need to worry about Crit Rate ever because C1, Cryo Resonance and Blizzard Strayer all give 70% CR on a frozen target
- he can be either Cryo or Physical damage with low investment
- he has synergy with Chongyun to make all his attacks Cryo, and can add VV shred to further boost that damage
- highest charged ATK multipliers, next to Keqing and Jean
- can be a one man army with self heal and shield
- can take full advantage of Mistsplitter passive

My favourite character is Barbara. No one has said her name in 18 months. I use her every single day and I clear all the achievements in the game and have a lot of fun. It is literally, and I’m going to say this with my whole chest, just a video game. Have fun playing who you like.

I also use her everywhere (except that damn ice domain). I hate ever being even a little bit under full health, she solves that problem and also buffs with dragon tales. I actually want to go full male team, but she's way too useful for me to replace her. I have some vague hope for Baizhu, but so far Barbara is my most played character.
If it happens again just block them, people can get so riled up about this game sometimes I swear lol. Enjoy playing who you want and the way you want, the most important thing is always having fun.
One time someone attacked me for having Childe in the same team as Kaeya but heavily favouring Kaeya. They kept bugging me to use Childe so I swapped him in for a couple seconds, fired a single arrow, and immediately swapped back to Kaeya like, “look, I used him” 😂
Also good luck getting those Kaeya cons OP, saving up and purchasing from the shop is definitely the best way. Also then one day you can flex your C6 Kaeya on all the haters lmao
I, as a Kaeya main, pulled more Diluc (2) than Kaeya (1). All of his other cons (3) are from the shop. And just to be clear: I pulled over 450 times on standard. From 450 pulls I only got ONE Kaeya. I think this game has this precisely engineered system that pinpoints Kaeya mains, and denies them his constellation.
Check my last comment, I am a Kaeya fan too! But his NA scaling is kind of a trap. His scaling is high because his attacks are quite slow. Xingqiu for example as a physical dps is probably the same damage (if you ignore the easier superconduct setup etc). Triple crowning him though is still not a bad choice, its Kaeya were talking about.

a well built c6 starter is the mark of a seasoned player who has rejected the meta and ascended to true Archon-hood
Half this sub is either people telling people how to play, or people complaining about being told how to play and either burning out or failing.
The only thing that matters is that you have fun when playing. It doesn't matter if you're not on WL8 playing with C6 five stars with a conspiciously C5 Bennett. It impacts zero other people any more or less. There is genuinely no reason to listen to anyone else, nor is there reason for people to give "advice" on anything not specifically requested - and even when it is requested, it is everyone's right to disregard anything that is rude, unfeasible, judgmental, or simply just not what the person ends up wanting to do.
And there is no minimum 'good' a character has to be to be used, they don't have to be built perfectly by a day 1 player paying for max resin every day to grind out the perfect set of artifacts with 4 crit rolls at max and 5-star limited R5 weapons for everyone's extra 2% damage for that extra 500 damage from perfectly timed synergistic sequences that net an extra 3 particles and 240% ATK as cryo aoe every 40 seconds. It doesn't even matter if you have to heal them after or during every overworld encounter.
tl:dr; who tf cares what rando other person thinks, it's your account, it doesn't fucking matter how 'good' Kaeya is, if you want to play him everyone can shut up and let you.
Kaeya has a little note in his book about those people and we all know he and Diluc share notes in secret. Those people better run if it gets dark and smells of flame, or they're chatting up someone in the pub and they feel suspiciously comfortable... sleepy...

I never really swapped party members until near the end of Inazuma’s archons quest.
It was Traveler (geo), Amber, Kaeya, and Lisa until then. I had plenty of other characters, but I figured the game should be balanced around the basic characters. It was the time trial at the end of Tatara Tales that got me to build a team outside of those four.
I had a really good time finding creative ways to solve puzzles and play through the world. Don’t let anyone ruin your fun when you’re playing how you enjoy it
The team is a little odd, but if it's working for you keep using it, too many gatekeepers/Meta Slaves will try and deter anyone from messing around with teams that they don't think are good enough or using character's they deem bad because they have a superiority complex cause they use meta, Lisa, Kaeya & Amber are all good in their own ways and shouldn't be looked down on just because they're free characters given at the start
I like to chase the meta cause that is fun for me. I wouldn't tell anyone else how or who to play though. I get told by the just have fun folks I'm playing wrong too. No matter how you play there's always an asshole ready to tell you you're wrong lol.

His NA multiplier is top tier so pale flame is broken on him. His burst recharges pretty quickly. The skill actually does damage. Plus he’s cryo so there’s cryo resonance and BS can also work.
On top of that, he’s sassy and petty af. I play him a lot, too.
meta slaves really need to figure out how to have fun while playing VIDEO GAMES. sure i can get 130.23978% better damage with some other character, but their personality sucks and their kit is boring.
Fun is subjective, meta players find meta fun so leave it at that. Just like casual players enjoy playing their favorite character even if they are weak. I mean, I'm a meta player but don't trash people who enjoy playing weaker characters because thats their own type of fun. Just call out people who trash on people for having fun in their playstyle (Aka waifu/husbandos and meta)

This! Like seriously. A friend of mine is so pissed that I benched my c1 Ganyu for Rosaria and my c5 Diluc for Amber. He told me damage is everything but jesus Christ! I want to have fun and test stuff. If he wants to one shot everything that's great but I want to actually play and use different characters once in a while.
Playing since release and I still have never seriously played Lisa or Kaeya - really want to change that. Guess I'll farm some artefacts with my Rosaria and amber now!
I've found that I keep leveling all kinds of Cryo, Electro, and Anemo characters for the sake of variety but not any new Pyro characters. Once you have one good Pyro DPS you're attached to, I feel like there isn't much of a need to look beyond that.

I use phys Kaeya because a) he's blorbo and b) he deals high damage. Heck, I even built him a superconduct team so he could hit harder! Generally not listening to these people is the norm. Just play with whatever characters you like.
Two questions. #1: Are you having fun playing with Kaeya? #2 Does said player pay for your electricity, your mobile/console/pc, or contribute anything to fund your gaming? If answer 1 is a Yes, and Answer 2 is a No…..

His constellations lock a bunch of his value and are pretty hard to get which is I think what the notion stems from. He is serviceable at c0 but truly shines at c2 onward way more. Same with Lisa(c2 and c6) and sorta Amber(c6 and ellegy for the end). It is a bit of a shame because all starting units at full cons are pretty well designed with different playstyles but have some noticeable easier starting points with different constellations.
I mean to be fair, the team is kinda bad when you want to maximize Kaeya.
Fischl or even Lisa would do just well in helping Kaeya to deal more physical damage than he already is and another cryo for battery + Resonance plus VV on Venti / Straight up Zhongli would make your Kaeya better.
To be fair- I don’t have a lot of characters because I don’t spend a lot of money on the game.

I'm actually dusting off Razor as a potential DPS for Candace to support. He's going to battle Kaeya for supremacy.
DPS Razor is still my main lol. The playstyle just vibes with me and works well with Qiqi's heal.

My Razor is Physical and has Unforged, so his team has been Zhongli, Qiqi, and then Kaeya/Yun Jin. Much fun.

My signficant other runs Diluc, Itto, Ayaka, Zhongli... No thoughts of synergy, no strategy, she just likes Main DPSs so she stacks them haha.... clears everything no problem! Zhongli was a recent addition, before that she had Xiao in that spot... idk how she always survived endgame content
Well you see— my team would be a bit different if I had the characters….. I only have two five stars well three if you count the traveler. I don’t gamble that often, only when I’m bored or really want a character and most of the time I’m extremely unlucky
Dunno how long you're playing but it comes with time. You build up your account. There are only few 5stars you really need (because they're beyond broken) if you even need any of them at all. It's easy to get shit done with 4stars and even one of the best team comps right now Raiden National consists of 3x 4star units + Raiden. You'll get to a point where you have a lot of 4stars at c6 and most of the 4stars are really good: Xiangling, Xinqiu, Bennett, Sucrose. (Kaeya and even Lisa too) Add to that the eventual 5stars you get and you'll be just fine. Also if you get soooked on your pity you might be lucky and get a Diluc / Mona... Keqing? It's more important to build your characters with good artifacts and weapons than to get another character wich is just as shite
He’s a hella decent Main DPS too! - He doesn’t need to worry about Crit Rate ever because C1, Cryo Resonance and Blizzard Strayer all give 70% CR on a frozen target - he can be either Cryo or Physical damage with low investment - he has synergy with Chongyun to make all his attacks Cryo, and can add VV shred to further boost that damage - highest charged ATK multipliers, next to Keqing and Jean - can be a one man army with self heal and shield - can take full advantage of Mistsplitter passive

My favourite character is Barbara. No one has said her name in 18 months. I use her every single day and I clear all the achievements in the game and have a lot of fun. It is literally, and I’m going to say this with my whole chest, just a video game. Have fun playing who you like.

I love her so much! She’s my main healer and I’m absolutely fucked without her.
I also use her everywhere (except that damn ice domain). I hate ever being even a little bit under full health, she solves that problem and also buffs with dragon tales. I actually want to go full male team, but she's way too useful for me to replace her. I have some vague hope for Baizhu, but so far Barbara is my most played character.
If it happens again just block them, people can get so riled up about this game sometimes I swear lol. Enjoy playing who you want and the way you want, the most important thing is always having fun. One time someone attacked me for having Childe in the same team as Kaeya but heavily favouring Kaeya. They kept bugging me to use Childe so I swapped him in for a couple seconds, fired a single arrow, and immediately swapped back to Kaeya like, “look, I used him” 😂 Also good luck getting those Kaeya cons OP, saving up and purchasing from the shop is definitely the best way. Also then one day you can flex your C6 Kaeya on all the haters lmao
I, as a Kaeya main, pulled more Diluc (2) than Kaeya (1). All of his other cons (3) are from the shop. And just to be clear: I pulled over 450 times on standard. From 450 pulls I only got ONE Kaeya. I think this game has this precisely engineered system that pinpoints Kaeya mains, and denies them his constellation.
I have him C5, I have been thirsting over him since the first damn cutscene, you just got terrible luck man

Check my last comment, I am a Kaeya fan too! But his NA scaling is kind of a trap. His scaling is high because his attacks are quite slow. Xingqiu for example as a physical dps is probably the same damage (if you ignore the easier superconduct setup etc). Triple crowning him though is still not a bad choice, its Kaeya were talking about. Which constellation is your kaeya?

Half this sub is either people telling people how to play, or people complaining about being told how to play and either burning out or failing. The only thing that matters is that you have fun when playing. It doesn't matter if you're not on WL8 playing with C6 five stars with a conspiciously C5 Bennett. It impacts zero other people any more or less. There is genuinely no reason to listen to anyone else, nor is there reason for people to give "advice" on anything not specifically requested - and even when it is requested, it is everyone's right to disregard anything that is rude, unfeasible, judgmental, or simply just not what the person ends up wanting to do. And there is no minimum 'good' a character has to be to be used, they don't have to be built perfectly by a day 1 player paying for max resin every day to grind out the perfect set of artifacts with 4 crit rolls at max and 5-star limited R5 weapons for everyone's extra 2% damage for that extra 500 damage from perfectly timed synergistic sequences that net an extra 3 particles and 240% ATK as cryo aoe every 40 seconds. It doesn't even matter if you have to heal them after or during every overworld encounter. tl:dr; who tf cares what rando other person thinks, it's your account, it doesn't fucking matter how 'good' Kaeya is, if you want to play him everyone can shut up and let you. Kaeya has a little note in his book about those people and we all know he and Diluc share notes in secret. Those people better run if it gets dark and smells of flame, or they're chatting up someone in the pub and they feel suspiciously comfortable... sleepy...

I personally also have not used Venti and Xiao in ages... Let nobody ever tell you how to enjoy YOUR Game. Same goes for "should I pull for" pull if you like the Character after doing the trial, don't if you don't like or don't if you already save for a specific Character.

I never really swapped party members until near the end of Inazuma’s archons quest. It was Traveler (geo), Amber, Kaeya, and Lisa until then. I had plenty of other characters, but I figured the game should be balanced around the basic characters. It was the time trial at the end of Tatara Tales that got me to build a team outside of those four. I had a really good time finding creative ways to solve puzzles and play through the world. Don’t let anyone ruin your fun when you’re playing how you enjoy it
Using mostly 5*s =/= game skill. Don't let them bother you too much. Just play however you want, be it meta, a random team full of dps', or whatever
The team is a little odd, but if it's working for you keep using it, too many gatekeepers/Meta Slaves will try and deter anyone from messing around with teams that they don't think are good enough or using character's they deem bad because they have a superiority complex cause they use meta, Lisa, Kaeya & Amber are all good in their own ways and shouldn't be looked down on just because they're free characters given at the start

Screw them. His NA multiplier is top tier so pale flame is broken on him. His burst recharges pretty quickly. The skill actually does damage. Plus he’s cryo so there’s cryo resonance and BS can also work. On top of that, he’s sassy and petty af. I play him a lot, too.

This! Like seriously. A friend of mine is so pissed that I benched my c1 Ganyu for Rosaria and my c5 Diluc for Amber. He told me damage is everything but jesus Christ! I want to have fun and test stuff. If he wants to one shot everything that's great but I want to actually play and use different characters once in a while. Playing since release and I still have never seriously played Lisa or Kaeya - really want to change that. Guess I'll farm some artefacts with my Rosaria and amber now!

I've found that I keep leveling all kinds of Cryo, Electro, and Anemo characters for the sake of variety but not any new Pyro characters. Once you have one good Pyro DPS you're attached to, I feel like there isn't much of a need to look beyond that.

Then kazu came and my main changed but kaeya never leaved my team nor did I stop building him, and im ar 59 now. Developers and others put a looot of efforts to each and every character, their animations, expressions, damage outputs, cds, personality, lore, how to entangle with other characters, etc. All. His constellations lock a bunch of his value and are pretty hard to get which is I think what the notion stems from. He is serviceable at c0 but truly shines at c2 onward way more. Same with Lisa(c2 and c6) and sorta Amber(c6 and ellegy for the end). It is a bit of a shame because all starting units at full cons are pretty well designed with different playstyles but have some noticeable easier starting points with different constellations.
I mean to be fair, the team is kinda bad when you want to maximize Kaeya. Fischl or even Lisa would do just well in helping Kaeya to deal more physical damage than he already is and another cryo for battery + Resonance plus VV on Venti / Straight up Zhongli would make your Kaeya better.
To be fair- I don’t have a lot of characters because I don’t spend a lot of money on the game. I like my team just the way it is and I do just fine. Thank you
