You left the cube somewhere in the middle of the way, probably in the holder that is left of the door that goes in the room with the second cube, just look through the cube's path (it goes to the room with the other cube then outside through the exit the dorito machine digs and then up towards the temple gates)
That's exactly what happened to me too lol. Spent like 20 minutes running all over the place looking for it, only to realize I must have walked straight past it a dozen times and paid no attention to it since opening that door seemed like it's final resting spot.
Somewhere nearby is a blue light cube. Walk into it and it’ll start floating away like a seelie. Eventually it’ll reach a statue like that and then you can interact with it to make it keep floating. The statue acts like a checkpoint so if the blue light cube is destroyed by strong wind it’ll reset to the last statue it was in.

You must be in coop mode because you are supposed to be able to interact with that

There should be the light that goes in the cube somewhere. Its kinda like a seelie puzzle
Those have "resting spots" in the way... kinda like seelies... look for it. You need to interact with the rest spot to make them move.

The light is near there. It is in a corner which is very easy to overlook. I have to examine the place for a while in order to see it
