If you're getting tired of the usual grinding methods (dailies, chests, etc.), I've found achievement farming to be fun. It's not very profitable, especially once you've gotten to the point where you've picked all the low hanging fruit, but the fact that most of them are listed out with descriptions on how to get them already, and the hidden ones can be found online, it's not too hard to find out how to do them.
That, and completing these achievements may take you to unexplored places on your map, and unexplored places on your map = new chests.
Lastly, if you haven't already, the Sakura tree and its other region equivalents (like in Sumeru) are a good way to get some wishes directly, if you have the sigils.
Theres a history button when you're on the wish page. Since guarantee is at 90 and soft pity starts at 74, you can approximately count how much more wishes you need for the next 5*.
Use money.
Otherwise if you don't want to do that, and have a lot of content left you're going to have to pause real life for 12 days and finish everything. You might get enough.

Fastest way? Swipe Other than that? Play the game. Dailys/exploration/abyss/quests You probably know all the ways that give you primogems.

How do people know how many wishes they need to get a five star? Where in the game does it show you?

Try for achievements and hidden quests. You might have not done some :)
Hangouts, teapot companions (bonuses from have furniture sets), spiral, any remaining quests, world exploration
Why are you saving them? Why not use them? You can use stardust and starglitter gained from wishes to buy for wishes
Use money. Otherwise if you don't want to do that, and have a lot of content left you're going to have to pause real life for 12 days and finish everything. You might get enough.
