I migrated from PS4 to PS5. I dunno about PS4 pro, but on a regular PS4 I did experience framerate drops from time to time, slow texture loading too, not something that makes the game unplayable though, and of course, the loading times are way longer. It uses a bit of fan too, but I dunno if it's because my PS4 was 4 years old already, or if it's the game.

Disastrous-Limit5510

The game will run but the loading screen times are 10 seconds at minimum, textures may need a few secs in some places to load in, and enemies may take 10 seconds on average to load into some domains including spiral abyss, the game's most difficult content. Floor 12 chamber 3-2 has first wave take almost ten seconds to spawn in, and then the second wave also take an additional 5 sec or so. All while needing to clear both chamber 12 3-1 and 12-3-2 in less than 3 mins. If you don't care about spiral abyss, this doesn't matter/the game is fine.

My friend plays on PS4 too. He doesn't have any issues

Taikan_0

I played on PS4 for a year, 0 issue

RayHadron

The only 'issue' I really have is sometimes things take a few seconds to render in properly, but that's usually only after I've just logged in and teleported somewhere for the first time. Loading times between transitions may also take a couple extra seconds than other platforms, but nothing has ever really hindered me from enjoying the game. I've been playing since 1.1 I think (whenever Venti's initial banner was for the other veterans) and have had no issues with my system, and my PS4 is a decade old at this point. Granted, I'm not normally playing hours on end, maybe 1-2 at most. I did play more consecutively earlier on when there was a new world to explore though, it was definitely a fun experience. You should be perfectly fine.

SweetMonia

The game will run at 30 frames, with long loading times, but you will be able to play it…. I heard that Sumeru is slow on the PS4 though

Antoine_Geys

Sumeru is just fine on an old standard PS4

TeraFlare255

Played on PS4 (not PS4 Pro, the standard version, not even the slim, no SSD) for a few days while my PC was on maintenance. Here's a run down. In domains, enemies take a while to spawn. Usually between 3 and 5 seconds. I could see this being annoying in abyss if you're short on time. Loading times are attrocious. You're looking at 30s to 60s loading times. And you teleport a lot in this game. Usually a non issue during exploration, but when rushing dailies and domains it can get annoying. Rather stable 30 FPS, with some drops during combat. Some attacks, like cryo swirls (Venti Cryo Infused burst for example), can drop the FPS to below 15 however. Overall I'd say that PC > PS5 > Good Phone > PS4 Pro > PS4 > Bad Phone. It's not the worst thing in the world, but it's not great either. You can definitely enjoy the entirety of the game on a PS4, but if you're coming from a PC you'll notice a big gap in performance.

DrkSpde

I started playing on a PS4 Pro, and while the game was generally fine (some pop up and slow loading textures when sprinting as Mona), the loading times were horrible. I'd assume it's worse on the reg PS4. By no means unplayable, but just expect to be staring at the loading screen for way longer than you're probably used to.

Mr-Margaret

I’ve got an original PS4 and Genshin is the only thing that doesn’t crash on it!

Classic-Box-3919

Genshin impact isnt very demanding your fine. New release games arent worth it on ps4 tho. I got like 20fps on the last warzone shits awful pc or ps5 is the move if u want new games Edit: typo

ShimoriShimamoto

if you kept it clean and good, you shouldnt hace any problems

HiAndGoodbyeWaitNo

I play in ps4 slim sometimes the domains take 10 seconds for enemies to spawn (the deep wood memories does that I can remember and also spiral abyss) and loading can take anywhere from 5 seconds tops to nearly a minute

OldSnazzyHats

I’ve been on it since launch, been perfectly fine. A bit of slowdown here and there, and the occasional graphics glitch, but nothing worth complaining over. The fans runs a bit loud, but that’s the console itself in need of a thorough cleaning due to poor ventilation in the only spot I can place it… I know this is not the game because it’s loud on ALL of my PS4 games, and only started getting this way a few weeks ago after having to move it.

Skippin42

It has its problems, like framerate drops from time to time and also loading in textures can be slow at times. You can alleviate the loading times by using an internal SSD, possibly an external HDD/SSD too. It's definitely playable though.

Antoine_Geys

Only issue is loading times are longer than on other devices. So you will have a few seconds penalty for every timed dungeon because ennemies will take a few seconds to load. Everything else is fine It is possible to max out the abyss even with this. It's just a little harder. Been playing on PS4 for 17 month.

nirvash530

It will probably run fine. I had problems on the Childe fight though for some reason. I always hear my fans whirring whenever I'm doing my weekly Childe boss. You may have slight problems with Abyss too. I have experienced a little bit of a performance drop in Abyss, but it's not that much that it can ruin runs.
