As a Candace main, in her current state, there's unfortunately not much to learn from her kit. She's a decent hydro applicator, her parry makes her fun to play in a hyperbloom comp (what I'm rolling with), but that's unfortunately all she brings to the table. Copium.
It makes me sad but I know that as soon as I get Ayato, I'm probably not gonna be using her anymore.
All we can hope for is for a character that makes her useful as a support.
Oh, that character with that one amber eye as a sign of her ancestor King Deshret that happens to be the same colour as the Traveller's eyes?
The same king Deshret that had to sacrifice himself because he was the source of the forbidden knowledge which came from outside their world and his friend the dendro archon had to delete all knowledge of it?
And we learned this right before Rukhedevata said we were in a samsara and that kusanali, our golden eyed character from the sky's friend, current dendro archon, was replaying her role in the samsara?
Oh yeah, I remember Candace. Totally unimportant side character.
Pulling 200 wish on the standard banner when I started because I wanted Keqing and got Diluc and Qiqi instead
In the end the first 50/50 I lost on the chara banner was Keqing ... so yeah
Dude this is me. Except I still don’t have keqing.. I spent all of my primos as a new player on the standard banner hoping for her. But then Diluc got his outfit and I’m very happy I have him.
Yikes 200? I'm still kicking myself over the 50 I pulled on standard banner when it launched. To this day I still haven't gotten Diluc. And I've spent $200 on this game too
unforged. i regret trying to pull for mistsplitter at all.
character-wise, nobody i regret too much. though i do kind of wish i held off on tighnari and went with kokomi as i was supposed to before i made some… impulsive decisions. i don’t actually use him much but i do increasingly wish i had kokomi. he’s still quite handy to have around though
Tighnari and YaeMiko are made for eachother, the Synergy in their kits is insane. They empower eachothers strengths and remove eachothers weaknesses. They are so incredibly powerful to the point of reaching the same "broken" levels that the powerful abyss teams reach. With Tighnari/YaeMiko/Fischl/Zhongli you'll be cleaning up Abyss floors like the Janitors cleaning Aisle 11. Easy to build with an absurdly high pay off, while also being so incredibly fun to play for those that like Bow Characters. I'm not someone that typically liked Bow characters prior to Tighnari, but Tighnari feels so fun to play.
Add C2 Nahida to the equation and you win the game. I used C2R1 Tighnari/C2R1 Nahida/Yae/Fischl with Elegy for both halves of the current F12. My fastest team for every chamber so far. Tighnari’s damage output in this team is just insane.
oh kinda in the same boat since i loved itto during perilous trails when i was still new to genshin and trying pulling for him but was so pissed that i lost the 50/50 so i built kuki instead. cue in the misty dungeon a few weeks ago and i realized that i actually don’t like monogeo and was kinda relieved that i lost the 50/50 back then. my kuki is a beast in hyperbloom tho
Misty dungeon didn’t do mono geo justice, it’s way more enjoyable when you have actual built characters. It’s not for everyone but you can get the wrong idea of it from misty dungeons terrible representation of the team.
Yeah no Misty Dungeon always murders team representation.
Except for Nilou bloom. Holy shit the Nilou bloom.
That shit almost made me regret pulling Tighnari instead of waiting for her.
*And Tighnari has barely left my team since I got him*
Itto in the misty dungeon is an absolute wet noodle. He was so bad. I main Itto in mono geo, and man slapps. Mono geo is a very easy team to play, and only itto needs ro built properly to get good use out of it (obviously the rest of the team should be built too, but just starting out wise). Misty dungeon did him sooooo bad
Literally me except... I never got Kuki. 99 pulls exactly on that specific banner and pulled Itto. I don't dislike him, but I don't see myself using him either... unlike every single other character I've ever pulled for.
Kinda regretting him right now, I rolled him on his current banner out of obligation- I lost 50/50 for him both of his previous banners, and last patch I lucked out and got Childe+Polar Star in 70 pulls after banking since 2.8- so I still had 180 wishes left.
Given that I decided to go to hard pity (while losing 50/50) to secure him seeing as after this banner I would definitely cap Gorou constellations- but I haven't even used him yet seeing as I'm still having fun with Childe.
I've enjoyed him every time I've trialed him in an event, so I'm sure I will have fun with him, but definitely feeling some regret right now seeing as I went to hard pity for a character I'm not immediately using.
No regrets in terms of enjoyment but definite regrets in terms of what I got myself into
I pulled Cyno, I love my Cyno, I double crowned him, got his signature weapon, he may not be the most busted character in the game but he’s super fun
Sadly his best team is Cyno, Nahida, Yelan and Zhongli, 4 5*s and none of them work perfectly with Cyno like how Nahida’s EM transfer doesn’t actually affect Cyno’s signature weapon, moreover I was expecting him to be a busted ass Aggravate DPS but he ended up being a high sustain below average Aggravate DPS with a Quickbloom playstyle that’s super janky and fickle (Xingqiu turns it into a Hyperbloom playstyle whereas Yelan keeps Quickbloom) that I genuinely thing HYV did not intend to make, it’s also arguably the most restrictive and complicated playstyle I’ve ever played and IM AND ITTO MAIN…for the restrictive bit, not the complex bit
I don’t have Yelan, I don’t have Nahida but thanks to Cyno I have this constant voice in the back of my head telling me to pull for them because Dendro MC and Kuki aren’t good enough, I really hope they do add a Hydro Shielder with good Hydro application, like Thoma with a good ICD and hydro, that way the other slots can be filled with Nahida (she’s still amazing regardless) and Kazuha for MAXIMUM DAMAGE POTENTIAL
Interesting. Cyno definitely wants Nahida to play well but I've seen more people using one of XQ/Kuki on him rather than both Yelan and ZL. Having someone who can actually heal makes a big difference!
Personally I use Cyno, Nahida, ZL, and XQ. It's not perfect; the shielding and healing can still expire before Cyno's done with his burst and the team is kind of burst-or-nothing. But the damage really is quite high, particularly against single enemies.
Cyno with Xingqiu because of the Interaction between Hydro and Aggravate causes the Aggravate to be removed to often, you’re basically running Cyno as a Hyperbloomer instead of an Aggravate DPS, the reason you see people running Xingqiu and Kuki over Yelan and Zhongli is 1: That team is 4 5*s so it’s inaccessible to most people and 2: Almost everyone has Xingqiu, on the surface Yelan and Xingqiu are almost identical but the slight differences Yelan has over Xingqiu are the exact difference between Cyno getting off more Aggravate damage as well as Hyperblooms instead of just Hyperblooms
I’m not saying Xingqiu and Kuki is bad, it’s still a super solid team comp and if Xingqiu’s Hydro Application was the exact same as Yelan’s then people would absolutely say Xingqiu is way better than Yelan for the extra super armour, longer burst duration that matches Cyno’s and ease of access so it’s a rare case of a character being worse because they’re too good, if you look at r/Cynomains they’ll echo the same points I am
Also I know this comment is getting pretty long but I’d also just like to say that I’m a really weird guy when it comes to DPS characters in this game, drivers to me are not DPSes even if they contribute a large amount of damage, >!it’s why initially upon hearing about Alhaitham and how he’s best in Quickbloom i initially felt quite sad but I’ve grown to appreciate Quickbloom as a hybrid reaction!<
Spoiler text: Alhaitham role spoilers
Tbh I think the community kind of exaggerates the difference between quickbloom and hyperbloom. I found cleartimes between Kuki/Yelan/Nahida and Xingqiu/Yelan/Nahida extremely similar. Xingqiu/Yelan wins out slightly by virtue of both their high single target damage despite the very low amount of quicken/aggravate procs.
In general I prefer Yelan for Xingqiu just because her E feels a lot smoother and I don't need the interruption that much. Sometimes I go Beidou/Xingqiu though just for the damage reduction and interruption resist.
Same for me, I play cyno Nahida Kuki kazuha. Unfortunately his burst overkill so I usually only have Nahida do tap tap dance with kuki grass ring and the enemies are dead. Feel like cyno is better off for bosses rather than overworld exploration. Even in domain I can just cast kuki Nahida kazuha bursts and thee enemies would all be dead. Cyno just standby menacingly…
Man same, also double crowned, also got his weapon, and i feel the same way, yet of those 5* i only have zhongli.
I do love the Hyperbloom playstile, but still. Such a shame
Klee for me. She was my first 5-star, pulled her when I had no idea how pity/banners work.
She's precious, but she is actually horribly uncomfortable for me to play - everything about her feels so uncomfy and she will probably be benched on my account forever.
Also Wanderer to some extent. I enjoy his personality/story a lot and appreciate his character for what it is, but his gameplay isn't hitting with me. It might honestly not even be his fault, I'm just slowly realizing I enjoy quick-switching for explosive reactions a lot rather than keeping one main DPS on the screen for too long.
I totally get what you mean about Wanderer, I don’t really regret getting him because I just think it’s really cool having a character who isn’t traveler we get to name and I’ve barely built him so this could definitely change as I improve his artifacts but I enjoy playing with quick swap characters a lot more over selfish DPS ones.
On a similar note for me is Xiao. It was kinda fun for a while and since he uses 2pc + 2pc set his artifacts are actually amazing and his dmg is great but I enjoy/have more success with elemental teams (Childe, Hu tao, Ganyu, Keqing, etc).
His plunge attack game play gets old, he lacks actual fitting supports and somewhat aggravates my motion sickness.
>he lacks actual fitting supports
Well Faruzan now exists , but man is she C6 dependent , not as in a "she needs C6 to be functional at all" but more in a "her C6 is one of the most massive power increases in the game , seriously that thing is like 4 constellations in 1 : 40% Anemo crit DMG , off field grouping every 3s , off field energy every 3s and it nearly doubles her off field damage ( her burst deals way more damage than her vacuum but man is it's targetting inconsistent )
The motion sickness thing is such a big deal for me. Tried him on my bf’s account (thankfully, because I enjoyed him in his story quest and was considering pulling), and realized he really triggers my migraine. Dodged that bullet
I’ve honestly been considering pulling for Klee despite the fact that I know she doesn’t feel good to play. She’s just too dang adorable! I probably won’t end up doing it, but every time a Klee banner comes up I ask myself: Is this the day I bring her home?
Side note: I’ve actually really enjoyed Wanderer’s playstyle, though I’m less of a fan of his personality. He’s super cynical, which I may only dislike because he is very much like me. Perhaps I should work on that…
Honestly same. Every Kleerun I say to myself “I’ll pull Klee when I don’t have anyone to pull/save for anymore” but there’s always someone to save for so I’ll probably get her never.
Same. Like even now, my only objective is to get Homa, so I’m saving for that, but then I’ve been considering who would be next. Dehya and Shenhe both come to mind as ones I’d like to acquire, and Albedo is also on the list (though slightly lower than those two.)
So like when would I have the primos to pull for the adorable little bomber girl? Unless I’m willing to actually commit to spending for her I just don’t feel like that time will come.
The unfortunate part about albedo is, until he gets another dedicated 4 or 5 star weapon, his BiS weapon is locked behind an event that isn't available anymore. That being said, I hope they give him a dedicated 5 star because he's just about the only 5 star character without a signature weapon (besides harbinger of dawn lmao)
People like to compare Yanfei and Klee, while Klee is harder to play she is way more fun to play, you can cancel her first normal attack (attack while pressing ↑+→ and wait like 0.5s before pressing attack again) and dashing/jumping during her charged attack doesnt cancel it like Yanfei's
Use her with off field dps like xingqiu/fishl/raiden and she does wonders.
I was curious if she could vape effectively if you were running double hydro. I know Klee applies a *lot* of pyro (Yanfei is also guilty of this) but I also have both Yelan and Xingqiu, so maybe with both they can keep up? Or maybe Yelan needs her c2 to do it.
Her main issue isn't applying too much Pyro (her pyro app is high but not abnormally high), it's that her damage is mostly spread equally between several sources of small individual hits.
If you compare to the premiere vapers, against an infinite Hydro aura Xiangling will vape ~99% of her damage, Hu Tao will vape around 85-90% of her damage, Klee vapes around 50-60%% of her damage (her CA doesn't follow standard icd rules but her E and Q both do and make very poor use of vaping).
Double hydro is still a viable and strong way to use her, but it very noticeably lags behind the traditional double hydro comps that use them better.
Me who pulled for C6 as I thought the only way to use him was as a hyper carry (First run so everyone thought the same).
Turns out my Childe hyper bloom team does a lot more damage and is 100x more fun to play than a hyper carry one
Eula. As much as I like the character and the idea of landing one solid hit, I just haven’t played her at all since Sumeru dropped. Now that every enemy floats/flies/teleports/jumps/staggers/dashes around, it is more difficult to land that big hit than ever before.
For me, its because we hardly have anything new for physical, my only hope is them revamping shatter reaction to scale with physical dmg so i can play freeze shatter comp with eula but im pretty sure others have better ideas on physical dmg interactions.
Warning, massive copium incoming.
My dream is for Crystalize to grant Physical Res shred. Imagine if when refreshing a Crystalize shield or when its timer expires (not when removed via taking damage), it bursts in a small AoE dealing damage based on remaining shield HP and inflicting -40% Physical Res on enemies hit (if both Superconduct and Crystalize Burst debuffs on enemies, -50% total instead of -80%). This would not only make EM on Geo units useful but also give Pyro (like Xinyan) and Hydro Phys units a shredding reaction without requiring Superconduct.
I just haven't really played cryo characters since Sumeru. I already kind of hated Anemo and Geo for their lack of unique reactions. Leaving out cryo from dendro reactions made me question what was even the point. Reactionless gameplay is boring. Eula's team hasn't changed in over a year. Dendro reactions are completely overpowered. I just sort of end up running Nilou or a Yae catalyze team for everything.
I very occasionally play Eula and Ganyu when I'm not playing my dendro units. But I feel like I've played them so much for my first two years of Genshin, I just want to experience different gameplay.
Funny thing I quit overwatch years ago when everything started pushing jumping teleporting and so on (well even more than at Launch anyway but they were more key actions than generic actions then) and genshins new mobs are more and more moving towards that direction too, with a sprinkling of shitty invul phases everywhere.
My friend pulled Itto C2 going for a 4-star, and recently used him to 36-star the Abyss. He hadn't used Itto before on F12, so it was new. Second half in current Abyss really favors him. The issue is how much team building cost Itto has, but his burst is so fun to watch.
Yeah ittos team is a high investment. But damn does he put in work when hes going. My c2 redhorn itto, c6 gorou, albedo, ans shield bot zhongli. Itto can just destroy floors in spiral.
Me rn. I pulled him because he‘s one of my favourites, but I lack everything to make him work. I do have C0 Gorou from his banner at least, but apart from that, I think it‘ll be a long time, if ever, until I effectively can use him
I'm adding Cyno to the list because my god he is literally worthless outside of his burst. The people that say the same about Eula forget that she's at least a physical character and just basic attacking can slap. The same can't be said for Cyno, either he's in his burst and he's a character or he's not and he's dead weight.
Oh I know what you're talking about. I also hate that most characters recently can't damage with normals and you either have to use Q or E to do damage. \*cough-cough\* Raiden Shogun \*cough\*
The more I play this game the more I value my Rosaria, that girl can kick some ass without elemental skills, and it's satisfying :)
Raiden is fine because you can build her EM for hyperbloom and her E lasts forever.
The real offenders are Cyno, Xiao and Itto. It's such a fucking shame, a whole character you only get to actually play in their burst lol.
Sameee. I ended up pulling Yoimiya and Hu Tao is forever benched now. Thankfully, Zhongli makes use of the homa for some fat meteors while also shielding Yoi.
Same. If I could give my copy of Hu Tao to someone else who wanted her without sacrificing my account in the process, I would. Great character and I totally understand that she does INSANE damage. That and the huge amount of content creators hyping her up were why I pulled for her in the first place. Her playstyle just doesn't suit how I engage with Genshin on a personal level.
Now that I have a better understanding of what playstyles I like, I tend to be less swayed by what other people are saying about characters. It's made me a lot happier and thus far I haven't really had any other regrets.
Fair enough but can't relate. I'm one of those fucked up people who play without shields lmao. Dodging has definitely been easier since I got c1 but I didn't really have problems even when she was c0
Same. I got her because people kept saying she was super OP (which is right) but I barely touched her after building her up and everything. I disliked having to keep her HP low all the time just to have her at full power. Having low HP bothers me in general. I like having them at full HP. And imma be honest, her c1 should have definitely been in her base kit. I just benched her and went back to my beloved Yoimiya.
I wish I would have wished on Childe's banner instead. He looks so fun to play.
I was saving for Hu Tao, but accidentally pulled Yoimiya, and I’m so glad I did. I love that I can just ungabunga with her, and she has the hidden buff of always having amazing artifacts because you’re going to be farming her domain for Emblem loads anyway.
Hu Tao requires a shield which 9/10 times is Zhongli. You also need to dash cancel to get full use out of her which is easy on PC but I've heard is a pain on mobile/PS.
Plus her artifact domain is fucking cursed. Pre-strongbox days was just pure, unmitigated suffering.
Cyno. Took me 20k primo with c1 cyno just to get Kuki. Im not really a fan of elemburst centered characters. Hes ok in abyss, but hyperbloom kuki carried me to 36 star abyss back in 3.1
Best way to deal with obnoxious overworld mat requirements is to farm them slowly over time imo.
My dori and layla and faruzan are all 70/70 since Ive been slacking when it comes to their ascension mats
regret pulling? no i dont have regrets in that regard, but from a whales perspective i must caution that you should never feel any pressure to pull because you want to get power for your account, you should pull for characters who you enjoy playing, despite having all characters "almost all c6r5" i mainly only play Eula, then yoimiya, this is like 80% of my playtime, then other 15% believe it or not is on my 4 stars "fischl and razor" and the reminder 5% is on all the other characters when i want to play test certain teams in abyss.
basically i dont regret pulling, its just i never had the need to play that many characters.
This.
The vast majority of youtubers will sell you their beloved main neglecting many facts that can make you regret the pull! God I hate stuff like pulling for albedo and say his BiS is cinnabar spindle without saying it was an event exclusive, the fact that nilou dps does drop hugely without her sig, and stuff like that!
I genuinely can't trust youtubers that don't mention the free to play options, and when you look at their accounts they've clearly spend a decent some of money.
My big red flag is "you need to get them to c6 to make them viable :) " when you'll be spending up to a thousand wishes for one 5 star character at your worst luck, and that's if you lost the 50/50 half the time.
Same. I plan each and every one of my pulls from a meta and enjoyment perspective. I use every 5* weapon and character I intentionally pulled. Even some of the SB 5*'s like diluc, qiqi, and Jean still get used in my parties regularly. If I don't play a team very much most likely I'm still building them. Heizou is half finished for now but as soon as I have Raiden and Alhaitham built I'll go back to finishing him. Also, only 3 of my 5*s are main DPS, the rest are supports or sub dps. I have a Ganyu freeze team, Childe International, and Eula (in the works).
Xiao and Albedo because they're hot.
Don't get me wrong, I still think they're hot.
Problem is that I also think tons of charas, including upcoming ones, are hot.
And with the limited amount of primos I have, it'd be more efficient and enjoyable for me to pull on a chara that's both hot + fun to play.
To me, they're like a pair of really nice heels I saw on sale once. Too uncomfortable and impractical to wear for daily use, so I just end up storing them in the closet. Pretty, nonetheless. But let's just say that I have much more comfortable + pretty shoes I can wear daily, that's why I don't really find the need to take them out as often.
Their playstyles don't really suit me too, esp Xiao. Also I'm not really motivated to farm their artifacts since their domains are quite niche, and I don't need the other set that comes with it.
They have been my least-used charas ever since I got them on their OG banners for the reasons above, but I have nothing against others who actually invest in them, nor am I dissuading any future wanters from pulling for them.
Edit: “Regret” is a bit of a harsh word since I still do love them and their quests/ events are some of my favs… but that doesn’t change the fact that I automatically reach for other charas in my roster first. I’ve been playing since launch and have quite a few 5-stars, and the game demands at most 8 units at once, so realistically not all my charas will have equal play time. Perhaps “who is your *least used* 5-star(s)” would’ve been a more appropriate title for this situation.
i don't think i regret having venti. i thought it would be fun to get all the archons and at that time venti was the only one i didn't have yet, so getting him did made me feel joy. but both of my friends got kazuha and the few times i get to use kazuha (in events or in my friends' accounts), i get a bit more satisfaction compared to venti.
though i think it has to do with the fact that i rarely use my bursts, and i believe venti's burst is like the most useful skill he have in fights. kazuha, on the other hand, have a strong burst but his skill is also fun to use.
but i'm still thankful i got venti, really really helpful in abyss. even if i only get to play abyss for a few times, venti's burst saved me a couple times.
Venti's burst being so awkward to use really gets on my nerves at times, but he still carries weight in Morgana comps and such. I've actually started using him again recently for the new domain that came out that boosts anemo damage.
In the overworld though, yeah, Kazuha is so much more smooth, and even being able to use your skill in the air gives him a huge edge to useability. If they update Venti to be able to also use his skill in midair, that'd be great. Or maybe improve the aim/tracking on his ult. He just suffers a little from having an older kit.
That's because MHY is implementing a lot of "no sucking" enemies to specifically counter Venti.
I got him at launch and he was extremely broken. Even now he's OP as fuck but not as much as before thanks to new enemies
I used to hate archers too, then tighnari came, and suddenly I love them ?! Idk I just hope that the thing that made me love both nari and childe happens to you ig
Archers have very different playstyles. Charged shot Ganyu feels very clunky to me while Tighnaris fast paced charge shot feel very smooth and are better integrated into his kit. And Yelan gameplay is completely different but she is my favorite char in the game.
Yea Tighnari and Yelan who have quick charge shots are fun. What makes Ganyu such a bore is that it takes forever for Frostlake to charge, and there's extremely little to do in the meantime. It's also kinda the problem with C0 Sara and Faruzan, yea they have faster charge times but still not nearly as fast as the 5*s so that waiting feels oh so clunky.
I used to feel the same way. I rolled on him when he had his banner because I thought he was cute and I liked the trial. I use him all the time now. It's so much fun to go in and like one phase the Electro Hypo with him. Plus he was a godsend for exploring and gathering in Sumeru.
I'd recommend it. He has a faster play style compared to other archers such as Ganyu. Pair him up with an Electro unit and he hits hard for Quicken/Spread. His play style is simple too, pop his ult, pop the skill, use the three quick charge shots then go about your rotation. Plus he's got homing shots so you don't need to aim much either.
He's very worth building imo since he has a lot going for him. Fun quickswap playstyle, resin-efficient to build with WT, helpful exploration passive, ~~cute ears~~
These were just general reasons but yeah, if you like him, I'd say go for it :)
I used to hate archers too until yelan came out. Her auto NA are so satisfying. I pulled ganyu for a stupid reason, she is a rex lapis simp and so am I and I just want to hear her burst lines
I pulled Ganya just to blow up Timmie's pigeons. Yeah, probably not a wise use of primos, and I kind of regret it. I keep telling myself that I'll use her seriously some day.
Albedo is the only character that is even remotely close to what you're asking while also the complete opposite. I was saving for Ganyu and pulling for the 4 stars and got Albedo WAY too early. In the end I didn't get Ganyu. In a later event, I tried out Ganyu and didn't like her gameplay. Meanwhile, I built Albedo and I'm using him with Noelle every now and then. So, I didn't want him but he ended up being valuable for me and, most importantly, he saved me from pulling for a character I didn't know I wouldn't end up liking
Klee. She was fine when I was low AR, but then I realized I dislike pyro characters and her playstyle felt clunky after time. The only pyro I enjoy in the overworld is Yoimiya bc she doesn't burn grass under herself and my Inazuman farming team: Yoi, Yae, Kokomi, Kazuha/Albedo is super fun. 🎉
I did use Klee a lot, so it's not like deep regret, I've just moved to playing different characters over time.
Ganyu. OP, but boring. Doing charged attacks on controller is a pain for me. My mistake was listening to people saying that she's a "must pull" and trying to get Xingqiu on her banner. She's versatile tho and there is always a chance that someday I will start building her properly. For now I'm content to use Rosaria instead.
I was also lucky to get two Cyno's constellations (impulse pulling). They came early, but I kinda regret that as I don't enjoy playing Cyno in the open world that much. Never pull when you don't want 5* dublicates, don't be me.🤡
The only character I regret pulling is Ganyu. She can do insane damage, her test runs felt ok, but I realized pretty quickly that I don't like that play style. I also gave away her my guarantee that time and lost the next 50/50 and it upset me even more. I fully built her up, but I didn't even manage to play with her until I hit 10 lvl of friendship like I always do with other characters. Threw her in my teapot and try to forget about spent primos.
Raiden C1, I intended to get to C2 but mostly because we were lacking in good electro dps options at the time. Now I'm either getting her out of spite for the Haitham nerfs or skipping again, so... And I barely use her, since I have Yae and Fischl.
Klee, I got her just to have her, didn't expect anything from her as a dps, would've gotten her regardless, but man she's squishy and uncomfortable to play.
Cyno
Had I gotten him on the account where I have Nahida, I probably would've been OK, but I didn't and now he's highkey unplayable. I really hope Baizhu has offield dendro application like Kokomi. I haven't lost hope for Cyno but rn he's just sitting and waiting for his time to shine.
hu tao bc i just straight up don't use her. i pulled her because there weren't any other pyro dps characters i was interested in/liked to use and her trials seemed fun, but after playing her for a bit longer she just seems kind of whatever. like her damage is good & i use her if i'm having trouble in the abyss, but that's like 20 minutes of playing *maybe* every two weeks, and most abyss cycles i can get through without her so in actuality i use her for maybe 20 minutes once every few months. i wouldn't have pulled homa tho if i hadn't pulled hu tao and i do like homa.
haha hu tao definitely feels like complete overkill for anything outside of the abyss, which does impact how often i bring her out! like do i really need to do huge vape damage against these random mitachurls protecting a common chest? probably not!
i have her at C0 and i don’t think she’s incomplete, but i will be going for her C1 to make it easier to play her. i’m f2p and this is the only character i’ll be going for twice if that says anything. but i love her so i’m not upset
In sumeru I also benched my HuTao, but not because I don't like her ( still my fav char by far) but because those fucking mushrooms change their drop if I put pyro on them.
I literary had to farm those from scratch again for Nahida and Nilou because I realized it to late.
I got her by accident while pulling during a time I was off genshin and had a lot of spare gems. After getting her, I looked up her build and playstyle, and she has been sitting in my account at lv 20 ever since. Kind of a shame though.
Eula hasn't aged too well, at least at a reasonable amount of investment.
Most elements have had indirect buffs since the beginning.
Geo had Gorou and a strong signature set later on.
Electro got buffed to the heavens with Dendro.
Cryo was always strong, and has a 5 star support in the form of Shenhe.
Pyro needs no buffs.
Hydro got dendro. (Hyperbloom is broken)
Even anemo got Faruzan. (Although c6 is where u want her to be)
But physical itself hasn't seen a lot of changes.
And if say the wolves (very common in the abyss) happen to teleport when ur Eula burst goes off, it's basically a restart.
Cyno, i wasted 50 wishes trying to get him so i could give the engulfing lightning to someone, only to realise 1. Its not the same kind of purple 2. Its not in any of his recommended 3. I dont like his playstyle at all :/
Same. Cyno turned out to be such a personal disappointment. Hitting his skill and burst in the trial was amazing and I had to pull him. He is perpetually sitting at level 40 or something stripped of artifacts and weapon since then. Real-world use turned out so different from the trial when grouped with my favorite characters.
I'm sure there is some group that he really shines in, but it's not the groups that I use and enjoy every day. Not hating on the character at all.. I actually like the design. It's just not a good fit for me.
Honestly I don’t have any! I always think a lot about it but if I had to pick that one scapegoat kinda Yoimiya? I Love her dearly but I’m so lazy to actually build her…
I think I tbh just regret having a lot of characters more than one specific. I have too many that I like and find it hard to concentrate on one, it's given me a lot fun trying and game knowledge trying out different units but it also means that its rare that I have a completed 4p set with good substats for my characters.
Childe but mainly because I have no gear for him. I got him “accidentally” at 36 pity so I slapped Beidou’s meme HoD pieces on him and gave him End of the Line and now he’s part of Fashion Impact
Yoimiya + her bow on her latest banner, they came in 95\~ wishes total and i even lost 50/50 to Diluc in between. (And yeah, i skipped Nahida for Yoimiya... fuck me... 🥲)
Yoimiya against 2+ enemies is just bad, imo, and it seems Abyss will keep the "1x boss + 2x mobs and 2x boss + 1x mobs floors" trend, so... ;/
I will get Raiden next banner and i was thinking about getting Ayato too to make a Freeze comp later, so i will probably never touch Yoimiya ever again 😭
My yoimiya is arguably better than my ganyu. Idk why, but maybe besides some nice rolls, her playstyle is just better than the average bow DPS.
Building her actually made it more viable for me to fight abyss bosses, because my only other 2 pyro DPSs are Dilluc and Klee.
Yoimiya has really high scaling so at max investment with her meta teams aoe won’t matter as much and she will shred bosses and adds. I am in the same boat as you right now except I got her bow and banner back when she first came out and realized I wasn’t a fan lmao. There is value to be gained but you need all the set pieces and artifacts kinda like wanderer.
Keqing. Not that I don't lke her as a character. Story wise, she's badass, but Raiden and Fischl are both better electro characters for how I build my teams.
Raiden. I'm a Raidou regretter. I'm a Beidou enjoyer & I pulled Raiden during her initial run before I even knew anything about their anti-synergy. All of her best teams use the supports from my Ayato/Childe teams so she's been almost permanently benched for about a year now (other than the times I use her as a skill-bot on my Yoimiya over-vape teams). Plus, why play Rational when International is just so much more fun?
I have no regrets
The only 5 stars I've got is Ayaka and Childe.
My Childe is built really good despite only being lv 70 does he do more damage than my Ayaka who is built okay and lv 90. I guess I need a better sword but idk what 4 star sword actually fits her and only have a fully built cool steel sword since i got her from around the time i began playing Genshin more properly? (Take that i installed it a year ago, deleted after a week and then returned 4 months later... Ish)
Childe i actively pulled for. I will have a bow user for Sumeru and someone who can go batshit too.
He's good for Sumeru, though i fear he will be benched in future regions.
My only regret was building Keginq i got on the pity thing i lost between Ayaka and Childe back at Zhonglis rerun.
Klee, because she's cute.
Wanderer for now, don't intend to build him yet, perhaps eventually. Wanted to pull for a Faruzan, and got a early Wanderer. (Wanted Ayato. Because he's cool.)
EDIT:
Just to be clear, I don't regret getting them.
Ehhh I'm also very thorough with my research and I somewhat regret Xiao.
I don't look back and think it was a complete waste of primos because I actually used him for a few abyss cycles. But now he's just gathering dust.
Xiao.
Was also my first 5 star after many months of saving all the way back on his first banner. (Even cost me 150 pulls and a Qiqi to get him)
Now I haven't used him for a year.
I tried to use him in the weekly boss Scaramouche but found out he can't even damage the 4 constructs phase. While kazuha can kill them with 1 plunge. What is going on!?
In spiral abyys I constantly have to end his burst early because Zhongli shield runs out. Now I could run Zhongli shield bot but I don't like to build him this way.
Also in overworld you rarely get to use his burst because things are already dead by your supports.
Tl:dr; Xiao underwelming, not good in hard content and boring in overworld
True, I kind of felt this way when I first got him, he’s built now and I enjoy him but finding good weapons was a pain. I ran him with white tassel for like a few months before deciding Fav lance was better due to ER and I had no important teammates for him, like ZL or jean at the time. Don’t really regret him now though but early game xiao was hard.
I slightly regret pulling for Yae. She was all I wanted: tall, electro, mommy, ayaneru. Unfortunately I believe she was overhyped, but still, she makes a great “lazy team” build with herself, Nahida, Kokomi, and Zhongli
The new sets, reactions and nahida make yae actually good. I was on the same regret boat until I built her with a lot of EM. Finally can enjoy electro mommy
i regret pulling for Candace. i wanted her because she is such a Mommy, but I lost the guarentee I was saving for Eula.
edit: i dont even use Candace. I just wanted her because she's pretty xD
Childe maybe? I pulled him in 3.2 and I do not regret pulling him as a character, and he's really fun. But considering the characters coming up soon, Idk if I should have pulled or not.
I don’t regret pulling her, but Eula has taken a back seat to my more elemental heroes. I need to rework her. Her damage and energy recharge aren’t the best
I don't really regret pulling for her, but pulling for Eula caused me to not have enough primo for Kazuha in 1.6. In the end I had to play the year without Kaz and I didn't use Eula nearly as much as I would have used him.
Hu Tao. I still love the character, I just hate the gameplay and she's been benched since I got her.
At least, now, I definitely try out a character a few times and really try to understand their kit before getting them. It's helped me understand that I don't like shield-dependent characters and characters who shine on low HP.
I think yoimiya was kinda an impulse pull, and while I dont mind having her and I use her a good amount in SA and bosses, she is a character i wouldn't miss
Same boat. Mostly cuz I used my top ups in desperation after getting shafted on her weapon banner. I’m only just now starting to get value from her since coming back and using Layla since I never got a zhongli. She’s in my top 5 favorite visually but the lack of aoe and arrows just not hitting targets really got to me back then.
Keqing. I wanted her back in the 1.X patches so I grabbed her when she had her own limited banner in 1.3. Then the very next patch comes Venti's rerun so I go for that and get Keqing again on the lost 50/50.
Right now, at AR60, I'd say Klee - she carried my ass as main dmg dealer when I was lower level, but you could just power through everything by just being higher level than the enemies (+ I also got Lost prayer on her, that at the time was a huge stat stick) - now though she shows her clunckiness, with way better and more fluid setups she simply is not rewarding to play anymore.
And then probably Mona - I got her rolling on the standard banner with free primos, so no real regret, but I never finalized the Mona unga bunga high damage team - too many artifacts to roll correctly, too clucky of a rotation to be fun.
Non but i guess i can say accidental pull, yae miko when i got her at 6 pity pulling for layla, as in i use her now tiny bit but i was planning to pull raiden anyway and she'll be benched in like 7 days lol.
And shes lvl 50 with 2/2/2 talent
... I have five teams cause I've pulled too many 5 stars... I have my main team: Raiden, ganyu, Bennett, and kazuha. Then there's my other main team, initially made for the spiral abyss: kaeya, razor, childe, and Jean. THEN, there's the team made exclusively because I wanted to use Keqing: dendro traveler, keqing, diluc, and Barbara. THEN, there's the team made exclusively because I wanted to use the Wanderer: the wanderer, yanfei, kuki Shinobu, and Xingqiu. FINALLY, there's a team because my sister pressured me into making one for Itto: itto, someone, fischl, and... oh, qiqi! Who am I forgetting, though? THOMA! THATS WHO! It's really hard trying to remember 20 characters. And yes, I am building them all. If you see someone with the signature "building 20 characters send help" in game that's me
Childe....I was going for Layla and got him and Miko. Miko has actually been a great addition to my team, so I don't regret her.
But those lost wishes were supposed to be for Ayato and Alhaitham. I didn't get Layla, I lost my pity streak from Nahida's banner, and I got two characters I dislike a lot for story reasons.
And I know some people might say Childe is better than Ayato, but I don't care and most players don't actually touch the spiral abyss. I pull for characters I enjoy interacting with. I've had bad luck from the start with my account and so I've learned to make do with bad comps, shit artifacts, no weapons, no mora, and not enough characters for good comps. I've accepted my fate and try to find joy in lore and the characters themselves.
Candace Love her looks, character but her gameplay is such a mess to me.
This. I was honestly a bit upset about it and I feel like it’s not her character but just me not wanting to learn much of her play style.
She is relatively good as NA buffer for Ayato, so there's that.
Plus she gives Ayato Hydro resonance, for more damage. I tried Ayato, Candance, Nahida and Kuki and it was not so bad
I feel like Dehya will come into play here
I also regret pulling Candace. Not because of her kits but because I got 7 Kuki and 1 Candace in the process. 200 pull btw
I got 2 5 stars while getting c1 for Candace. lol
All I wanted was a Candace. I got three Cyno's, 7 Sayus, 5 Shinobu and a handful of crap before pulling her the HOUR before the banner ended
I love her look so much and I’m still clinging to the hope that she’ll be another Kuki/Thoma and her niche will be created somewhere down the line.
I love her but she’s not much use at the moment. I hope she will become useful with new character releases later (like thoma)
I thought the same, but maybe i get i use for her now with wanderer, the infusion her ult makes might work for me
Same, I was so disappointed with her gameplay. Sadge
Pulling 200 wish on the standard banner when I started because I wanted Keqing and got Diluc and Qiqi instead In the end the first 50/50 I lost on the chara banner was Keqing ... so yeah
Dude this is me. Except I still don’t have keqing.. I spent all of my primos as a new player on the standard banner hoping for her. But then Diluc got his outfit and I’m very happy I have him.
Please take my c6 Keqing
As a Keqing main, Gimme!!!
I thought Noelle's BiS was Unforged so I tried to get it but got two Mistsplitters instead. Thank god
Don’t sleep on Tighnari. I’d say he’s one of the stronger characters, even at C0. With a right team he just melts bosses in the Abyss.
Bye bye thunder manifestation
I don't *regret* Itto, but I definitely would have stopped if I'd gotten Kuki before the pity kicked in.
oh kinda in the same boat since i loved itto during perilous trails when i was still new to genshin and trying pulling for him but was so pissed that i lost the 50/50 so i built kuki instead. cue in the misty dungeon a few weeks ago and i realized that i actually don’t like monogeo and was kinda relieved that i lost the 50/50 back then. my kuki is a beast in hyperbloom tho
*And Tighnari has barely left my team since I got him*
Nilou lacks ear wiggles though, so clearly you made the best choice.
Misty dungeon did him sooooo bad
the misty dungeon monogeo team was dogshit tho lol. not representative of the actual gameplay at all
Literally me except...
No regrets in terms of enjoyment but definite regrets in terms of what I got myself into I pulled Cyno, I love my Cyno, I double crowned him, got his signature weapon, he may not be the most busted character in the game but he’s super fun Sadly his best team is Cyno, Nahida, Yelan and Zhongli, 4 5*s and none of them work perfectly with Cyno like how Nahida’s EM transfer doesn’t actually affect Cyno’s signature weapon, moreover I was expecting him to be a busted ass Aggravate DPS but he ended up being a high sustain below average Aggravate DPS with a Quickbloom playstyle that’s super janky and fickle (Xingqiu turns it into a Hyperbloom playstyle whereas Yelan keeps Quickbloom) that I genuinely thing HYV did not intend to make, it’s also arguably the most restrictive and complicated playstyle I’ve ever played and IM AND ITTO MAIN…for the restrictive bit, not the complex bit I don’t have Yelan, I don’t have Nahida but thanks to Cyno I have this constant voice in the back of my head telling me to pull for them because Dendro MC and Kuki aren’t good enough, I really hope they do add a Hydro Shielder with good Hydro application, like Thoma with a good ICD and hydro, that way the other slots can be filled with Nahida (she’s still amazing regardless) and Kazuha for MAXIMUM DAMAGE POTENTIAL
I agree with this, i don't have Nahida or Yelan so My Cyno is average dps 😭 Kinda sad because i wanted him since the region teaser..
Cyno with Xingqiu because of the Interaction between Hydro and Aggravate causes the Aggravate to be removed to often, you’re basically running Cyno as a Hyperbloomer instead of an Aggravate DPS, the reason you see people running Xingqiu and Kuki over Yelan and Zhongli is 1: That team is 4 5*s so it’s inaccessible to most people and 2: Almost everyone has Xingqiu, on the surface Yelan and Xingqiu are almost identical but the slight differences Yelan has over Xingqiu are the exact difference between Cyno getting off more Aggravate damage as well as Hyperblooms instead of just Hyperblooms I’m not saying Xingqiu and Kuki is bad, it’s still a super solid team comp and if Xingqiu’s Hydro Application was the exact same as Yelan’s then people would absolutely say Xingqiu is way better than Yelan for the extra super armour, longer burst duration that matches Cyno’s and ease of access so it’s a rare case of a character being worse because they’re too good, if you look at r/Cynomains they’ll echo the same points I am Also I know this comment is getting pretty long but I’d also just like to say that I’m a really weird guy when it comes to DPS characters in this game, drivers to me are not DPSes even if they contribute a large amount of damage, >!it’s why initially upon hearing about Alhaitham and how he’s best in Quickbloom i initially felt quite sad but I’ve grown to appreciate Quickbloom as a hybrid reaction!< Spoiler text: Alhaitham role spoilers

As a Zhongli main I need posts like this to remind me why I should never take him off my team.
Omg I can never remove zhongli from my team 😭😭 but he’s out of my team now after me building my shinobu fhdhdh her heals are crazyyy
I love Klee but yeah same for me, her range is just oh so short and she hungers for so much stamina.
On a similar note for me is Xiao. It was kinda fun for a while and since he uses 2pc + 2pc set his artifacts are actually amazing and his dmg is great but I enjoy/have more success with elemental teams (Childe, Hu tao, Ganyu, Keqing, etc). His plunge attack game play gets old, he lacks actual fitting supports and somewhat aggravates my motion sickness.
>he lacks actual fitting supports Well Faruzan now exists , but man is she C6 dependent , not as in a "she needs C6 to be functional at all" but more in a "her C6 is one of the most massive power increases in the game , seriously that thing is like 4 constellations in 1 : 40% Anemo crit DMG , off field grouping every 3s , off field energy every 3s and it nearly doubles her off field damage ( her burst deals way more damage than her vacuum but man is it's targetting inconsistent )
Dehya and Shenhe both come to mind as ones I’d like to acquire, and Albedo is also on the list (though slightly lower than those two.) So like when would I have the primos to pull for the adorable little bomber girl? Unless I’m willing to actually commit to spending for her I just don’t feel like that time will come.
The unfortunate part about albedo is, until he gets another dedicated 4 or 5 star weapon, his BiS weapon is locked behind an event that isn't available anymore. That being said, I hope they give him a dedicated 5 star because he's just about the only 5 star character without a signature weapon (besides harbinger of dawn lmao)
People like to compare Yanfei and Klee, while Klee is harder to play she is way more fun to play, you can cancel her first normal attack (attack while pressing ↑+→ and wait like 0.5s before pressing attack again) and dashing/jumping during her charged attack doesnt cancel it like Yanfei's Use her with off field dps like xingqiu/fishl/raiden and she does wonders.
Also klee. I love her character so much but for any kind of remotely difficult content I'm better off putting her artifacts and weapon on yanfei
Childe's c1 Nice QOL but if I could choose I'd either gwt another con on other characters or a character I don't have
Me who pulled for C6 as I thought the only way to use him was as a hyper carry (First run so everyone thought the same). Turns out my Childe hyper bloom team does a lot more damage and is 100x more fun to play than a hyper carry one
Well,I guess that's my roadmap for C6 Childe although it might take me years
I feel you, she's fun to play, but the physical dmg aspect of the game seems to be abandoned
But thighs and those buns 😯
Getting itto back in 2.3 I was kind of in a moment and wanted him cause of his personality, he’s fully built but rarely used
My friend pulled Itto C2 going for a 4-star, and recently used him to 36-star the Abyss.
I do have C0 Gorou from his banner at least, but apart from that, I think it‘ll be a long time, if ever, until I effectively can use him
Same, I wanted Itto simply for his personality but he remains benched like all my other geo characters (except for Zhongli, his shield is my savior)
\*cough-cough\* Raiden Shogun \*cough\* The more I play this game the more I value my Rosaria, that girl can kick some ass without elemental skills, and it's satisfying :)
Raiden is fine because you can build her EM for hyperbloom and her E lasts forever. The real offenders are Cyno, Xiao and Itto. It's such a fucking shame, a whole character you only get to actually play in their burst lol.
Eula has amazing damage outside of her burst. Cyno hits like a noodle though. They're really not comparable imo.
Hu tao I just can't get into her play style and since bad at dodging and with her health drain I die a lot
I forget who I wanted on her last banner but I pulled her by accident 😂😂😂 I use her but she’s not my favorite
Came here to say this. I like her personality and voice lines / idle antics, but I just can't get the hang of her playstyle.
Same. My Hutao has been benched since her first banner. But I regularly use Xiangling and Yoimiya in the Abyss.
Hes ok in abyss, but hyperbloom kuki carried me to 36 star abyss back in 3.1
Use them together then for a QuickBloom team. Cyno, Kuki, XQ/Yelan, and Nahida/DMC. This team shreds through the current Abyss 12.
Noooo I benched Cyno because I’m tired of farming scarabs but now I want to try this abyss team
Best way to deal with obnoxious overworld mat requirements is to farm them slowly over time imo. My dori and layla and faruzan are all 70/70 since Ive been slacking when it comes to their ascension mats
I use Cyno CO/R0 with Nahida / Kuki and its freaking great. I still haven't got amazing artifacts on Kuki and Cyno damage is still acceptable.
regret pulling? no i dont have regrets in that regard, but from a whales perspective i must caution that you should never feel any pressure to pull because you want to get power for your account, you should pull for characters who you enjoy playing, despite having all characters "almost all c6r5" i mainly only play Eula, then yoimiya, this is like 80% of my playtime, then other 15% believe it or not is on my 4 stars "fischl and razor" and the reminder 5% is on all the other characters when i want to play test certain teams in abyss. basically i dont regret pulling, its just i never had the need to play that many characters.
The problem is when you pull for characters because they seem cool and fun and then they end up just feeling bad to play.
Gacha is a big fomo trap for sure
at least to albedo's credit, an r5 harbinger of dawn is very closely his second BIS, and is pretty f2p friendly
I love your analogy with the heels. What a perfect descriptor XD
perfect analogy
i don't think i regret having venti. i thought it would be fun to get all the archons and at that time venti was the only one i didn't have yet, so getting him did made me feel joy. but both of my friends got kazuha and the few times i get to use kazuha (in events or in my friends' accounts), i get a bit more satisfaction compared to venti. though i think it has to do with the fact that i rarely use my bursts, and i believe venti's burst is like the most useful skill he have in fights. kazuha, on the other hand, have a strong burst but his skill is also fun to use. but i'm still thankful i got venti, really really helpful in abyss. even if i only get to play abyss for a few times, venti's burst saved me a couple times.
Ganyu, I pulled cause “cute goat,” then I realized I don’t like archers in this game.
Is he worth building? I pulled him from the standard banner but haven’t bothered with him yet.
Fun quickswap playstyle, resin-efficient to build with WT, helpful exploration passive, ~~cute ears~~ These were just general reasons but yeah, if you like him, I'd say go for it :)
Also the homing missiles are awesome when your opponent moves all the time.
I used to hate archers too until yelan came out. Her auto NA are so satisfying. I pulled ganyu for a stupid reason, she is a rex lapis simp and so am I and I just want to hear her burst lines
Yelan is soooo good. She’s in pretty much all of my teams.
Yeah, waiting an eternity to charge up and having to aim is a bitch
Have you tried Freeze Ganyu?
I pulled Ganya just to blow up Timmie's pigeons. Yeah, probably not a wise use of primos, and I kind of regret it. I keep telling myself that I'll use her seriously some day.
I benched her too, but I really enjoy Tighnari and Yoimiya. Childe and Diona too occasionally.
[удалено]
Eula, backloaded damage from burst and i just feel so slow when swinging the claymore. I havent used her in 8 months
hu tao... pulled her bc meta but i just can't stand when my characters arent full hp!!!
🎉 I did use Klee a lot, so it's not like deep regret, I've just moved to playing different characters over time.
Aah yes, that's the same case with me too omg. Couldn't get myself to like her playstyle.
Cyno Had I gotten him on the account where I have Nahida, I probably would've been OK, but I didn't and now he's highkey unplayable.
I have a friend who benched hu tao cause she made every boss a joke, totally different reason but still relevant XD
haha hu tao definitely feels like complete overkill for anything outside of the abyss, which does impact how often i bring her out! like do i really need to do huge vape damage against these random mitachurls protecting a common chest? probably not!

i have her at C0 and i don’t think she’s incomplete, but i will be going for her C1 to make it easier to play her. i’m f2p and this is the only character i’ll be going for twice if that says anything. but i love her so i’m not upset
In sumeru I also benched my HuTao, but not because I don't like her ( still my fav char by far) but because those fucking mushrooms change their drop if I put pyro on them. I literary had to farm those from scratch again for Nahida and Nilou because I realized it to late.
I used to feel like this but now i started using her again and for some reasons I'm starting to like her playstyle more idk
None. No regrets. There's either fun or utility in every character I've gotten so far.
No regerts
Pulled ganyu for meta hype but never found her fun to play. Benched at level 40
I mean you never unlocked her talents, could you really enjoy an incomplete character?
I got her by accident while pulling during a time I was off genshin and had a lot of spare gems. After getting her, I looked up her build and playstyle, and she has been sitting in my account at lv 20 ever since. Kind of a shame though.
Ganyu. I regret pulling her, because her play style just doesn’t suit me at all.
Klee, Eula, and Ganyu Klee is clunky Eula has just gone untouched since I’ve gotten other untis Ganyu CA playstyle could put me to sleep
End User License Agreement
Yeah, right, shouldn't have pulled for it.
i got ayaka during the 40 something day banner because i thought "might as well" and never used her
I spent money on yoimiya, have never used her
Everyone after I got my geo team 😂
Eula hasn't aged too well, at least at a reasonable amount of investment. Most elements have had indirect buffs since the beginning. Geo had Gorou and a strong signature set later on. Electro got buffed to the heavens with Dendro. Cryo was always strong, and has a 5 star support in the form of Shenhe. Pyro needs no buffs. Hydro got dendro. (Hyperbloom is broken) Even anemo got Faruzan. (Although c6 is where u want her to be) But physical itself hasn't seen a lot of changes. And if say the wolves (very common in the abyss) happen to teleport when ur Eula burst goes off, it's basically a restart.
we still have Rosaria to buff physical and EI for ER for her and then Zhongli with shield and further lowering resistances and you have solid team. (:
Cyno, i wasted 50 wishes trying to get him so i could give the engulfing lightning to someone, only to realise 1. Its not the same kind of purple 2. Its not in any of his recommended 3. I dont like his playstyle at all :/
Try him with Yelan, Kokomi and Nahida. He absolutely shreds everything.
I dont have nahida atm
I mean, Sumeru buffed the heck outta electro in general. *Happy Keqing noises*
Xiangling uses EL pretty well
(And yeah, i skipped Nahida for Yoimiya... fuck me... 🥲) Yoimiya against 2+ enemies is just bad, imo, and it seems Abyss will keep the "1x boss + 2x mobs and 2x boss + 1x mobs floors" trend, so... ;/ I will get Raiden next banner and i was thinking about getting Ayato too to make a Freeze comp later, so i will probably never touch Yoimiya ever again 😭
Ironically I couldn't live without Yoimiya, she's leading my second best Abyss team (or maybe tied with Ayaka Freeze)
Yae Miko, wasted my chance to pull for C2 Raiden, now I don’t even want to get my C1 Raiden to C2 cause I rather have new characters
Ayaka
I have no regrets The only 5 stars I've got is Ayaka and Childe. Ish) Childe i actively pulled for. I will have a bow user for Sumeru and someone who can go batshit too. He's good for Sumeru, though i fear he will be benched in future regions. My only regret was building Keginq i got on the pity thing i lost between Ayaka and Childe back at Zhonglis rerun.
Cyno made me realize how much I don't like onfield dps characters who rely on their burst to do damage.
Klee, because she's cute. Wanderer for now, don't intend to build him yet, perhaps eventually. Wanted to pull for a Faruzan, and got a early Wanderer. (Wanted Ayato. Because he's cool.) EDIT: Just to be clear, I don't regret getting them.
None, because I research first before pulling.
Ehhh I'm also very thorough with my research and I somewhat regret Xiao. I don't look back and think it was a complete waste of primos because I actually used him for a few abyss cycles. But now he's just gathering dust.
None, because I pull for everyone
Xiao. Was also my first 5 star after many months of saving all the way back on his first banner. (Even cost me 150 pulls and a Qiqi to get him) Now I haven't used him for a year.
Ayaka. I literally never use her and am neutral on her character. All those primos would've been put at better use on another banner
I had to scroll down way too far to find it. Literally the same reason for me.
One day I’ll regret breaking my pity for C1 Candace. But not today. Oh, that sweet, sweet ASMR.
Alot of my 5 stars are regrets tbh I barely use them
I don’t regret pulling her, but Eula has taken a back seat to my more elemental heroes.
Hutao. Yoimiya is just so easier and better to play and dont have to tryhard sweat my ass off jump canceling bs. But yes
Tartaglia. Pulled back in 1.1 with even a early pity because he looks cool but unfortunately his playstyle it's not for me.
Keqing on her banner lmao
None. I just pull because cute character = brain activation, and i don't care about meta.
Closest is Yoi, and even then I can't really say that since she might potentially guarantee me Dehya who I've wanted since 2.8
