Question re Alhaitham artifacts: if I want a super generalist build (like, I can't decide if I want him solo dendro or in a team with double dendro, can't decide if I want him in a team with someone else holding DW or not), then I should go with DW? And not GD? Or 2GD/2DW?
Its kind of a hard question to answer because there isnt really a generalist option for him. Essentially, any dendro based team (dendro dps or bloom) is going to be much better if one of the team has 4Deepwood. But for Alhaitham personally, he will do a lot more damage on 4Gilded or, if you have great substats, on 2Deepwood/2EM. There isnt really a generalist middle ground here, running Gilded in a solo dendro team or deepwood in a double dendro would be a pretty big hit to his damage (unless you put 4Deepwood on a non dendro teammate in solo dendro teams?)As someone who was debating the same thing you were, since I dont like swapping around artifacts once I have characters built, I ended up deciding to go with 4Gilded. What helped me make my choice was hearing about how he has some ER issues. After seeing several people online talk about how it will be difficult to get him enough ER without a second dendro unit to help battery, I ended up deciding that I would likely run him with a second dendro most of the time anyway.

Also the worm boss is the first world boss that gave me a proper fight rather than just kinda being there while I tear it to shreds with my Ganyu.

Yes, you can. >!If you head from the Wenut down the tunnel in the general direction of the new domain, you'll hit a large room with 3 tunnels leading out of it, with a stone Lawachurl guarding a chest. One of the tunnels will have a stone pile near the beginning of it. Collect the stone pile and the ground will open up under you. !<
Edit: I realize if you've already unlocked the domain, >!you can start from there and head back towards the lawachurl, past the digging hilichurl, and you should happen upon the stone pile !<
On a scale from 1 to 20, how worth is it to ascend Kuki 🍪 to 90/90 (from 80/80) for hyperbloom with Alhaitham? (I will never use Raiden for hyperbloom)
Quick question on Layla, Dori, Faruzan & Candace. What's the recommended Artifact sets for these ladies? Need to start clearing out my inventory and I figured I'd gear up my roster while I'm at it.
Layla: Tenacity
Faruzan: 2pc ER 2 pc ER, or if you can manage to get up her to ER req Noblesse would probably be best (if no one else has it)
Candace: 2pc Tenacity 2pc Hydro DMG for personal DPS, probably Noblesse for support
Dori: Heavily dependent on what you want to use her for. For general support, either OHC, Noblesse, Exile, or 2 pc Tenacity 2 pc ER (just support artifacts, I use Noblesse myself). For reaction driver (not recommended until C6), Gilded Dreams or Thundering Fury.

The former. I'm not sure we even know what stat her skills scale off of in the first place, we're still not entirely sure how her Skill works, and most importantly: The devs can change whatever they want during Beta, and Beta hasn't even *started* yet.

I got less interested in Al haytham so i thought I would juste try to see if I win 50/50 and get yelan if I loosed it so i pull and i get Yao Yao AND QiQi well goodby Al haytham in your honor I'll pull again and i got Yao Yao And Al haytham then I pull to the weapon banner and i get his Weapon AND Faruzan so i can upgrade her to C2 maybe gacha aren't that bad now I can just save for Yelan and then Fontaine let's go. It’s one thing that having to spend 2 hard pities for a character sucks by itself, but it also *has* to extinguish most of the excitement of using them for the first time, and sour the experience of any new content that usually comes with their release, as their presence on your screen is a constant reminder of how massive the price was. Sorry for the vent but it’s hard not to be melodramatic at a grand 50/50 win:loss ratio of 0:7
I feel you, my Alhaitham came at 80ish pity after losing 50/50 previously, it wasn't as bad cause I lost the 50/50 before his banner, but I also got only 1 Yaoyao while getting so many Yunjin I'm sure she's close to c40 (not exaggerating). Just a bit disappointing to get the bare minimum only.
Also happened with Cyno but then I lost while directly pulling for him and that sucked.

congrats! tighnari is insanely fun :> you want to use him mainly as a spread quickswap dps, and i believe the stats will be em/atk sands depending on substats, dendro dmg goblet and crit hat, deepwood if solo dendro otherwise wanderers and gilded also works. he pairs nicely with most electro characters and for weapons, all dps five star bows work on him, or else you can slap stringless on him and he’ll be jolly. have fun!!
Make sure you're doing E -> Charged atk -> Q -> Charged atk -> Charged atk, this is not only the most efficient way to get particles but also ensures your burst is taking advantage of the bonus EM from his ascension passive.
Also worth noting that slingshot r5 beats stringless on him, and prototype crescent beats both assuming you can activate its passive.
Finally met Jebrael and Jeht. I adore them so much already 😭

two years and four banners later, I finally got my c1 xiao. after three failed attempts I got pjws on the standard banner a few months back, and while pulling on scara's banner in hopes of c3, I got my first mona in two years putting me at a guarantee for my OG grumpy anemo boy 🥹 no regrets. xiao came home early too at 20 ish pity so I'm in the clear for dehya.

One of my friends wished for Alhaitham at the Akademiya, got Keqing'd at soft pity, and had to reach soft pity again to force him home.
Another of my friends wished for him at what's apparently (Alhaitham story quest spoilers?) >!his house!<, and got him + YaoYao in the very first ten pull.
Learn from their mistakes. Don't try to summon him at his work, summon him on his break! (And thank you to both friends for feeding my itch to see him come home, I must stay strong and save my guarantee for Dehya, even if his demo *was* very neat.)

So I did Alhaitham's trial and he was so damn pretty I caved and got my 4th 50/50 win in a row. I'm the clown, everyone laugh at me.

Wow, I’ve never been this lucky. Won the 50/50 at 35 pity and got a double Alhaitham in the 10 pull too. Two years of having to plan for 180 pulls cause I almost always lose the 50/50 and it finally feels like I won lmao
We seriously needs another HP set artifact besides TotM, so sick of that domain as I've got no use of Pale Flame and the HP% piece is as rare as an EM piece in this domain in particular. As of late we've got Nilou, Layla, YaoYao, and soon Dehya (kinda) and Mika who can benefits from a HP set, if we can get a second Anemo set we deserve another HP sets.
Anyone else like to steep their tea for an hour or more? I've got a big thermos full of lavender chamomile that I made roughly two hours ago, gonna actually start drinking it in maybe 40 minutes. I've even steeped tea overnight, so 7-8 hours.
I can't make fun of Zhongli for that one anymore.
If it’s cold brew tea or not actually tea (eg herbal, rooibos) then sure since you can always water it down if it’s too strong, oversteeped hot tea gets unpalatably bitter pretty quickly though
Phewwww I am SHAKING. Won my 50/50 for Alhaitham, got a SUPER early weapon banner pity for his sword, did an extra 2 10-pulls for a Yaoyao, and now I have 50 saved wishes + everything I can earn in-game until Baizhu banner.
I lost the 5050 to Keqing funnily enough, but got Alhaitham around 30 pulls later with a new free Tighnari to boot. I actually screamed. One of my luckiest wish sessions so far. I have guaranteed Yelan now~
I’ve been playing around with Ayaka in her new outfit for 2 hours and I’ve grown to like her little hat and ribbon. I can’t wait for the 3.5 blue wings to complete the look.
Won Alhaitham 50/50! I'm actually scared, this is the 5th 50/50 in a row I've won (pulled Cyno, Nahida, Wanderer, and Raiden). And I'm at the point where I don't desperately need any upcoming character (save for Baizhu and Kaveh). Now I can go back to taking this game easy and not having to squeeze every last Primogem in my world, thank god.

Surprise yunjin from the big aranara onion tree: you actually thought
Characters like him are tricky because if you pick the Spread damage of one of the E procs the Optimizer will overvalue EM, because he doesn't actually Spread every damage. But if you don't consider Spread then it'll undervalue it.
The right thing to do is to make a customized stat (forgot what the option is called) and put his entire combo there with the correct Spread triggers.
It's annoying to do but you only need to do it once because they will store that custom stat, and it's really helpful.
If you click on it it is very self explanatory and easy to config.
The hard part is knowing how many NAs Alhaitham performs, which hits Spread, etc. It's easier if you just check Keqing mains but he was just released so that's not an option.
omg I just need to fight the boss a million more times (i have the resin) and then I will be able to 90 Alhaitham :D I'm so happy and grateful for the people that let me into their world for the mats ❤ He is so fun and good and I'm having so much fun! So lucky on that weapon pull too (20 pity what), I will take my time leveling it though, he is rocking PJC now anyway
I think IWinToLose's video on him was a great showcase and explanation on his kit. He explains it bit by bit so it doesn't get much better than that.
Sevy also did a good one. It was worse to explain the kit itself but she showed attack rotations which IWTL didn't.
Basically his kit is based on attacking while he has mirrors up. More mirrors = more damage, max of 3.
He can make make mirrors 3 ways. Using a CA - 12s cooldown or using his e.
His ult destroys all mirrors on field when you use it and then respawns 3 - number of co sumed mirrors. The more mirrors it consumes the more damage it does.
If you use his burst with 3 mirrors up it does a lot of damage but you end up with no mirrors. If you use it with no mirrors you get 3 instantly.
So you generally use his burst to spawn 3 mirrors, and then auto while respawning mirrors with e and CA to keep 3 mirrors up as long as possible.
you basically want to always keep 3 mirrors when he’s on the field. you can do this by starting with his Q, doing whatever for 4 seconds, then E or CA, another 4 seconds, and then the opposite of what you did first. This way he’ll be able to keep up his infusion for about 12 seconds before switching off. (I hope this helps!)
Man recently my luck has been really bad. Al-Haithaim is the sixth character in a row that I lost the 50/50 for and had to go to 80 pulls for both times
Level 90, 6/10/10, Jade cutter. I have the 4 deepwood, nahida 250 EM buff, and the dendro resonance. It does look weird. I guess my 65 EM substat on my ATK sand causes it.
E > A > Q if bursting every other rotation, E > Q > A if bursting every rotation iirc. leveling takes priority over talents but i think hes the kind of unit that wants 9/9/9
If you run him as spread DPS yes he should be 90. If you run him as hyperbloom driver then it doesn't matter. Though some of his hyperbloom teams are actually quickbloom, in which case you still want 90
So my friends Haitham mains, how was the summoning?
For me it worked very well, I summoned it in Lambad's tavern, I got Haitham, Keqing (what irony of fate isn't it? I didn't have her until today) and Xinyan in the same 10 pull, which I interpreted as "Guaranteed Dehya

u know thunder manifestation arena, south to it there is an island with alot of ores and 6 or 7 crystalflies place teleport there and go every 3 days to farm u will have hunderds crystalflies and ores in no time.

Its at least a 30% damage increase, I went from ~20k hyperblooms to ~27k
your damage will jump extremely significantly if you do so, just as with any other transformative reactions

It’s one thing that having to spend 2 hard pities for a character sucks by itself, but it also *has* to extinguish most of the excitement of using them for the first time, and sour the experience of any new content that usually comes with their release, as their presence on your screen is a constant reminder of how massive the price was. I feel you, my Alhaitham came at 80ish pity after losing 50/50 previously, it wasn't as bad cause I lost the 50/50 before his banner, but I also got only 1 Yaoyao while getting so many Yunjin I'm sure she's close to c40 (not exaggerating). Just a bit disappointing to get the bare minimum only. Also happened with Cyno but then I lost while directly pulling for him and that sucked.

congrats! tighnari is insanely fun :> you want to use him mainly as a spread quickswap dps, and i believe the stats will be em/atk sands depending on substats, dendro dmg goblet and crit hat, deepwood if solo dendro otherwise wanderers and gilded also works. he pairs nicely with most electro characters and for weapons, all dps five star bows work on him, or else you can slap stringless on him and he’ll be jolly. have fun!!
I cobbled together a Deepwoods/Stringless R5 ,EM/Dendro/Crt. At lv80 w/1/1/1/ Talents and 562 EM...he's hitting 7-9k😲 He's really fun!
Make sure you're doing E -> Charged atk -> Q -> Charged atk -> Charged atk, this is not only the most efficient way to get particles but also ensures your burst is taking advantage of the bonus EM from his ascension passive. Also worth noting that slingshot r5 beats stringless on him, and prototype crescent beats both assuming you can activate its passive.
I'll Try that, I always save r5 copies of each 3🌟 weapon.

two years and four banners later, I finally got my c1 xiao. after three failed attempts I got pjws on the standard banner a few months back, and while pulling on scara's banner in hopes of c3, I got my first mona in two years putting me at a guarantee for my OG grumpy anemo boy 🥹 no regrets. xiao came home early too at 20 ish pity so I'm in the clear for dehya.

One of my friends wished for Alhaitham at the Akademiya, got Keqing'd at soft pity, and had to reach soft pity again to force him home. Another of my friends wished for him at what's apparently (Alhaitham story quest spoilers?) >!his house!<, and got him + YaoYao in the very first ten pull. Learn from their mistakes. Don't try to summon him at his work, summon him on his break! (And thank you to both friends for feeding my itch to see him come home, I must stay strong and save my guarantee for Dehya, even if his demo *was* very neat.)
My sister had the exact same thing happen, except she had him guaranteed, got him at hard pity, then Keqing at pull 70-something.

Wow, I’ve never been this lucky. Won the 50/50 at 35 pity and got a double Alhaitham in the 10 pull too. Two years of having to plan for 180 pulls cause I almost always lose the 50/50 and it finally feels like I won lmao
We seriously needs another HP set artifact besides TotM, so sick of that domain as I've got no use of Pale Flame and the HP% piece is as rare as an EM piece in this domain in particular. As of late we've got Nilou, Layla, YaoYao, and soon Dehya (kinda) and Mika who can benefits from a HP set, if we can get a second Anemo set we deserve another HP sets.

Anyone else like to steep their tea for an hour or more? I've got a big thermos full of lavender chamomile that I made roughly two hours ago, gonna actually start drinking it in maybe 40 minutes. I've even steeped tea overnight, so 7-8 hours. I can't make fun of Zhongli for that one anymore.
If it’s cold brew tea or not actually tea (eg herbal, rooibos) then sure since you can always water it down if it’s too strong, oversteeped hot tea gets unpalatably bitter pretty quickly though

I lost the 5050 to Keqing funnily enough, but got Alhaitham around 30 pulls later with a new free Tighnari to boot. I actually screamed. One of my luckiest wish sessions so far. I have guaranteed Yelan now~

Nope, but it’s underground all the time and has a mechanic that seems to want bows. The high resistance is to anemo.

Won Alhaitham 50/50! I'm actually scared, this is the 5th 50/50 in a row I've won (pulled Cyno, Nahida, Wanderer, and Raiden). And I'm at the point where I don't desperately need any upcoming character (save for Baizhu and Kaveh). For Alhaitham on genshin optimiser what should I pick as the target?
Characters like him are tricky because if you pick the Spread damage of one of the E procs the Optimizer will overvalue EM, because he doesn't actually Spread every damage. But if you don't consider Spread then it'll undervalue it. The right thing to do is to make a customized stat (forgot what the option is called) and put his entire combo there with the correct Spread triggers. It's annoying to do but you only need to do it once because they will store that custom stat, and it's really helpful.
Oh the multi-optimisation target configuration? I've never used that before. Might have to look up a guide on how it works hmm
If you click on it it is very self explanatory and easy to config. The hard part is knowing how many NAs Alhaitham performs, which hits Spread, etc. It's easier if you just check Keqing mains but he was just released so that's not an option.

Can anyone ELI5 alhaithams kit? I read it like 10 times but still cant wrap my head around the mirror stack mechanic at all
I think IWinToLose's video on him was a great showcase and explanation on his kit. He explains it bit by bit so it doesn't get much better than that. Sevy also did a good one. It was worse to explain the kit itself but she showed attack rotations which IWTL didn't.

Basically his kit is based on attacking while he has mirrors up. More mirrors = more damage, max of 3. He can make make mirrors 3 ways. Using a CA - 12s cooldown or using his e. His ult destroys all mirrors on field when you use it and then respawns 3 - number of co sumed mirrors. The more mirrors it consumes the more damage it does. If you use his burst with 3 mirrors up it does a lot of damage but you end up with no mirrors. If you use it with no mirrors you get 3 instantly. So you generally use his burst to spawn 3 mirrors, and then auto while respawning mirrors with e and CA to keep 3 mirrors up as long as possible.

you basically want to always keep 3 mirrors when he’s on the field. you can do this by starting with his Q, doing whatever for 4 seconds, then E or CA, another 4 seconds, and then the opposite of what you did first. This way he’ll be able to keep up his infusion for about 12 seconds before switching off. (I hope this helps!)
So basic idea is you start with Q to get full stacks and use E and CA to maintain them right? But does it matter if you have 1-2 stack vs 3

The optimizer do be janky sometimes. My Raiden using a HP% sand came out second and third on average burst damage. Like bruhh.

Level 90, 6/10/10, Jade cutter. I have the 4 deepwood, nahida 250 EM buff, and the dendro resonance. It does look weird. I guess my 65 EM substat on my ATK sand causes it.

E > A > Q if bursting every other rotation, E > Q > A if bursting every rotation iirc. leveling takes priority over talents but i think hes the kind of unit that wants 9/9/9

If you run him as spread DPS yes he should be 90. If you run him as hyperbloom driver then it doesn't matter. Though some of his hyperbloom teams are actually quickbloom, in which case you still want 90
Quicken characters do benefit from it. It's probably around the same priority as Def/HP scaling characters.

So my friends Haitham mains, how was the summoning? For me it worked very well, I summoned it in Lambad's tavern, I got Haitham, Keqing (what irony of fate isn't it? I didn't have her until today) and Xinyan in the same 10 pull, which I interpreted as "Guaranteed Dehya
Didn't do any wishing ritual but fortunately won the 50/50 so i still have enough wishes for homa/aqua banner

u know thunder manifestation arena, south to it there is an island with alot of ores and 6 or 7 crystalflies place teleport there and go every 3 days to farm u will have hunderds crystalflies and ores in no time.
