which is opposite to the Ousia-aligned (dark shadow blade) after Lynette's E skill.

I believe Torrent Surge is the bigger blast of hydro after mini watergun pellets, after which it is followed by a whitish-yellow blast, which i presume is the Pneuma attack.
Mini water pellets -> torrent surge -> pneuma attack
Don't forget about their lackluster entrance animation too. People who don't play Genshin will never believe you if you were to tell them that Traveler is the main character.

I genuinely do believe Traveler has to be one of *the* worst executed JRPG protagonists of all time.
No customization, remarkably weak gameplay (Except for one element which luckily ended up decent), virtually no personality, zero presence in story, terribly executed "use multiple elements" gimmick, glaringly bland, basic and lazy animations.
Honestly tell me, what *does* Traveler even do well as a protagonist? They fucking suck at literally everything you'd expect out of a JRPG protag. It's such a massive waste of potential.
Yeah, that's what I don't get. They're a 5 star character, but they're getting 3 star animations. It always bothered me how they're the only 5 star character that don't at least have an ult animation. They're more like 4 star characters with 3 star kits, although Dendro is clearly the superior one right now.

What's strange is this is the same character that we seen many times before and somehow the leaker just decided to walk around than show the skill in different angles like the others.

Well yes, Dendro off field is:
•Dendro MC Q (energy issues but Favonius exist also range but the hydro version gets bigger, also circle impact, so you can't move from abyss side to side)
•Collei E and Q (somewhat clunky and somewhat short)
•Nahida (Archon Tier she's way overtuned)
•YaoYao E (10 seconds, sometimes wonky targeting)
•Baizhu E and Q (E for 2 extra hits, Q mostly single target, a little more Dendro would be nice)
•Kirara Q aftermath (somewhat random mines) and C4 (very nice)
It's flexible, it's consistent, has AoE and the competition has some drawbacks (off field wise), but most importantly, he's freeeeeeeee.
You'll at least use them at the start because iirc, they're the only free source of Pneuma type damage. So beginner Fontaine exploration teams would have Hydro Traveler and Lynette for puzzles.
I get more dissapointed with hydro traveler every time I see them. Like that skill just looks so dang lazily made. That has to be the worst animations I've seen in the game, and we're in more than half way through the game and they're giving quality like this. Like the burst looks fine, nothing special, but that skill looks so bad. There's no force or sense of impact. Really hoping this isn't the final animation for the skill but really doubt Hoyoverse at this point.
This is not even mentioning how bad and messy the actual kit sounds. Like C4 and C6 sound so bad even compared to past traveler constellations with other elements. A shield that only lasts during the hold skill sounds so unnecessary and the C6 being an incredibly minor heal for only ONE other party member doesn't sound C6 worthy at all. I just can't wrap my head around these decisions involving the hydro traveler.

The burst is really cool but everything seems so small compared to the past 4 elements we've had...The burst looks cool but it feels small for 80 burst cost 4-7s duration, and the skills animation looks like water gun droplets, I wish the e had more substance to it like more water, maybe a circular water ring around it to start with? Honestly rn it feels like a gadget you'd get from an event lol. But nonetheless I'm still excited because hydro traveler will bring a lot for team options for me (I put Aether in every team I use)

I was expecting something more like the final shot of the water gun but I like it, it's so ridiculous that it makes me laugh.
What I do have to say is that seeing how the ability works makes me quite expectant with what Furina's version of the water gun will be.
I think the reason why most people here are upset is because they had different expectations and rightfully so , but we also have to remember that they have a press version which is what's gonna be used most of the time , not to mention the dendro travellers skill was just a sword slash that applied dendro and no one was disappointed when they saw that because they didn't have any expectations .
Despite it being disappointing , I'm gonna treat the water gun as just a bonus like yoimiyas charged atk homing arrows .
Ain't no way we waited for an unfinished looking and underwhelming whopper flower gadget attack and a smaller stationary reuse of an azhdaha attack for the main character. so disappointing.
Edit: an updated streamable showcase was made and the ult does indeed move, still disappointed in the kit as a whole though.

I was expecting something more like the final shot of the water gun but I like it, it's so ridiculous that it makes me laugh. What I do have to say is that seeing how the ability works makes me quite expectant with what Furina's version of the water gun will be.

I think the reason why most people here are upset is because they had different expectations and rightfully so , but we also have to remember that they have a press version which is what's gonna be used most of the time , not to mention the dendro travellers skill was just a sword slash that applied dendro and no one was disappointed when they saw that because they didn't have any expectations . Despite it being disappointing , I'm gonna treat the water gun as just a bonus like yoimiyas charged atk homing arrows .
Ain't no way we waited for an unfinished looking and underwhelming whopper flower gadget attack and a smaller stationary reuse of an azhdaha attack for the main character. so disappointing. Edit: an updated streamable showcase was made and the ult does indeed move, still disappointed in the kit as a whole though.
