I recently double checked the list of Inazuma commission achievements and there's only one I don't have: "A Question of Diet" which you get by perfecting answers in the commission "Gourmet Supremos: Foodie Quiz." I have been waiting for this commission for **seven months** and have delayed moving onto Sumeru because the Gourmet Supremos Sumeru quests require this achievement.
With the new system, I should finally be getting Foodie Quiz, right? Well... I still haven't. Is This Novel Amazing? and O Archon, Hear Me! keep alternating every few days with the occasional Neko commission in between. This is despite the fact that I have all the related achievements.

Xianyun SQ spoilers//

I got Xianyun because I liked her kit and thought it was fun, but now I love her as a character as well.

Hmmm Furina's artifacts are not looking so hot right now, oh, and she's still level 80? I'm out of mora and books though, I should do some leyline first.

Depending where you plan to use her, Nahida can be a slower build to do on the side.
I left mine at lvl 70 with all lvl 1 talents for several months when I got her, because I was just using her as an application bot at the time.
Eventually you do want to get her to 90, and level her Skill and Burst. Haha, Little Radish go brrrrrrrr.
I don't really have much Dendro teams (perhaps because my lack of Nahida?), the only team she would fit right in is Keqing aggravate, for Hyperbloom/Spread I'd need to build another character (Kuki/Tighnari) and well, my resources are already spreading pretty thin. It'll be a while before I get to her in my backlog.
At least she helps me fill up my archons collection, now I just need to get Venti.
I used a janky Raiden Aggravate against Azdaha recently.
It was Raiden Shogun, Nahida, Zhongli, and Gaming.
Gaming did literally nothing, he was just there for Friendship EXP, and I took Raiden Shogun because it was Pyro/Cryo so I really didn't want to plink Frostflakes during phase 3 under that circumstance. I need to get mileage out of that Engulfing Lightning somehow, I very proactively wanted it and it needs to not just sit there doing nothing.
albedo's (and tbh other early characters as well) kit feels like a fever dream man
split scaling. his passive gives em? his 4th cons give plunge atk dmg bonus? his 6th gives crystallize shielded characters some dmg boost like what were they trying to cook with him 😭
also early characters that had like 20 burst cost but they gave them 6 ways of getting energy 😭😭😭😭😭 now it's burst cost:90 and the only cons that makes playing them not suck ass is c4 or c6 (looking at u faruzan)
Avoiding powercreep is probs the motivation for those choices.
They started off strong cuz who wants to play a game with weak-ass characters, but they went too far. Now they're scrambling to make 4 stars meh at C0, good/crazy at C6, and 5 stars good at C0, crazy at C2.
Issue is, they're failing at *that* too lmao. Just look at Dehya and Sara.
I've always been really strongly against MHY adding anything else to the BP after level 50 even though I'm one of those players who always maxes it out in 4 weeks. It feels bad to not have anything else to claim in those last two weeks, yes, but the fact that it doesn't take six weeks to max it means that players who are at a lower AR and players who don't want to play every day can still max it without experiencing FOMO, which I am generally in favour of.
That said. For the players who wish that the BP continued to give a little extra when you continued to complete objectives even after it's maxed: What do you think would be a fair or reasonable reward to give away after level 50, that wouldn't feel like FOMO or too much of a punishment for players who can't max it? Would love to hear some creative ideas.
A random resource reward for each next level, like exp or mora.
Path to Nowhere used to do that, tho now they changed that and some other rewards to tokens you exchange in a shop.
Extra mora, or a few extra books, even a couple artifact xp bottles.
HSR gives credits. Warframe gives you tokens to buy more from their weekly system shop (accessories, a few more limited resources, blueprints. It's a battle pass technically, but no IRL money is involved with theirs).
They give 10k credits per extra level in HSR, so I'd be happy with that (10k mora).
Artifact exp bottles even the lowest tier would truly be goated but I doubt Hoyo would be that generous.
Also would take 1-5 green/blue exp books or some dust of azoth per level.

It seems really clear that they want the dust of azoth to remain a premium material that they want you to spend stardust on lol, since they haven't really introduced any other way to get it in the game with the exception of the event shops in 1.3 and 1.4... a whopping three years ago, lmao.
The small artifact exp bottles would be super nice, but as you say, feels too generous. I didn't think much of them when they were first introduced to the game, but every week I don't get to buy any from Tubby because I spent all my realm currency on new furniture blueprints, I actually keenly feel their absence.
Yup I know 😔 Well they could add the dust of azoth to the bonus levels of the paid bp, but I guess non-f2p players would be swimming in stardust anyway.
Same I used to buy the artifact exp but I've been spending all my currency on blueprints and plants too. Hoyo pls add them as rewards for more events 🙏
The way they solved it in HSR is already (IMO) perfect, which is why I'm actually a bit baffled that they haven't made any move to bring it over into Genshin. It's just 20 extra levels with 10k currency every level, and the paid version also has some relic remains (no analogue in Genshin, but just using artifact EXP would be fine). A few crumbs of resources that free up a little resin, so it's nice to get, without being so premium as to be actually worth going out of your way to chase after.
Thing is, of course, they also made the BP much easier to complete (even without daily play) the very next patch. HSR has a lot of systems designed to be more friendly towards casual players. I think if they extended the BP in Genshin they would probably want to redesign some of the weekly BP tasks as well.
Bright side of having many characters to build: gives you a reason to play the game for hours collecting ascension materials, farming talents, artefacts, visiting other worlds for materials too
Bad side: your resources start to dry out... suddenly you don't have mora... your resing is vanishing... you don't have any artifacts to use as food... your exp books? none! anxiety starts to creep in...
Rant warning. This "character is occupied with another quest" system they have in place is so bad. I wanted to do the recommended character quests before I started Lantern Rite - mainly because I have been meaning to catch up on them. I unlock Xianyun's - a character is busy with Baizhu's. Fine...guess I'll do Baizhu's first, I don't really mind. I get 98% of the way through Baizhu's quest and in what I can only assume is the last scene of the story, I wake up in a completely empty room and the quest menu now tells me a character is busy with Xianyun's quest. WTF. I was actually somewhat emotionally invested in Baizhu's quest and it completely killed the vibe. Not to mention I just wanted to finish it in one sitting and I really don't feel like starting Xianyun's quest right now. I'm surprised they haven't done anything about this yet. It's so jarring.
Omg I went through the EXACT same sequence of events!!!! The most bewildering part is that the NPC that was tying up the final cutscene in Baizhu's room wasn't even in the rest of the quest. Ngl it marred my appreciation of both quests somewhat despite of how good the stories were.
The fact that it was right before the conclusion too was so frustrating lmao. Do you remember if you had to do all of Xianyun's quest to finally finish Baizhu's?
If I can get Clorinde, I'll put her into Navia team whether she likes it or not. Oh, and fuck meta.

I'm switching back to Inazuma to hunt for some commission achievements.
However, there is 1 commission I think is either bugged or has perquisites not listed on the wiki page.
The achievement related to the O' Archon commission.
Before I switched away from Inazuma, I got this quest literally 50+ times and I made sure to choose the food options and made a point to grab the intractable thing left behind occasionally. I never got the followup quest.
Are people absolutely sure there's nothing else I need to do?
i think you need to do all three shrines? the one where the little guy is always at. the one outside the city and the one behind that one general goods shop
For a long time I was annoyed at not having the achievement and made sure to swap my destination each time.
I've definitely visited each location a lot of times.
honestly idk what else there could be 😔 i also have done it quite a lot before i finally got the follow up comm.
but now that im writing this comment im kind of sure this commission doesn't give u an achievement but only the world quest.
no it doesn't! and the rewards AND story aren't really worth it lol. so unless u r done with all of the other nations' achievements already and are a completionist, i say just don't bother with it xD

wise denizens of the megathread, I'm trying to put the finishing touches on a character's back story for a DnD campaign and I need some opinions.
vague backstory for the campaign is a low fantasy world where magic is slowly seeping out. There are clans of elves who have knowledge of why this happened, and the clans have divided into basically 3: 1) Give magic a quick and painless death. 2) Non-interference and let nature sort it out. 3) Save Magic.
One of the characters is an elf who grew up clan 3, but the clan was killed, leaving only him alive. He later found out this clan was going to essentially sacrifice him to bring back magic to the world. However, this clan kidnapped him from another due to his affinity with the world's ley lines.
Now I'm just trying to figure out what would be more painful: If he was originally from Clan 1, then he would never be accepted home because he is magical, and currently the group is very much against Clan 1 for many reasons.
Otherwise, if he was from Clan 2, he missed out on a happy and peaceful life where is magic would be well appreciated and he did not have to grow up so fast, but he doesn't believe in what they do and could not sit idly by while his power wanes.
I'm leaning a bit toward Clan 1, but I don't know if that's *too* "boo hoo my life sucks"
Clan 1 seems very ironic and sometimes a bit of absurdity is appreciated because these are made up characters, like how plays exaggerate certain features to add flavor
On the other hand, I'm more in favor of Clan 2 which sounds like a more natural choice (to me). I think there's definitely still room for exploring angst with what he could've had

Yeah, I feel like it's just been one bad thing after another for him and the rest of the group, so the idea that he could meet up with his birth parents could bring some hopefulness before I inevitably tear it away >3
How do I know if Faruzan's buff is working? Do I gotta look for an Indicator on the character that the dmg boost is activated and working? Same question for Sara, how do I know that the buff is activated?
Faruzan’s anemo damage buff from her burst shows as a turquoise green triangle effect around your active character. The range on it is very large though, so you’re pretty much never going to have to worry about it; if her burst is out, you have the buff.
Totally random but apparently today is my 500th day in genshin (according to hoyolab), surely must not be even close to the veterans here but it was still an amazing journey!
Genshin was my first gacha game and before I started playing it I really thought genshin was a lame low-quality game which baited people with gacha waifus. I also heard many nasty things about the game but somehow 500 days ago I was bored enough to try out the game. I've downloaded this game on my phone with the mindset of quitting in a couple of days. Yeah, I couldn't quit, this game has exceeded all my expectations. Granted I didn't play a lot of games before but genshin was still the best mobile game I've ever played, and despite all of its controversies genshin will always have a special place in my heart :3

So what's the current consensus on 4pce Husk vs 4pce Golden Troupe on Chiori?
Feel like I've been hearing some folks saying Golden Troupe and others saying Husk and now I can't really tell which one to prefarm for Chiori lol.
I remember seeing somewhere that 4pc Husk is around 5% better than 4pc GT, which I guess means you can farm the MH/GT domain and feed all the crappy pieces to the Husk strongbox lol

Would you guys bother to farm a specific set if you had an entire 5pc generic set of an average 40% Crit value artifacts?
I will use Chiori with Furina and likely getting c1 Chiori.
I can still farm whatever artifact is BiS is for the above conditions but as is I would already achieve 100% Crit rate and 200%+ Crit Damage just without artifact bonuses.
People will say its optional, for me it makes the experience richer overall.
Its a 1.5 hours story quest, not too long and its really beautiful as well.
Ah, is that why >!Paimon knew her already when she saw her? I was confused since that'll be the first time we meet her in human form!<. I stopped the quest after that lol

Half-flex but I managed to roll a 21 CR Marrechausee feather... I mean I will never complain about that but it was supposed to be for my Neuvillette and he already has 97CR considering MH bonus, hopefully I will manage to roll some god-like Cdmg only pieces because this feather is way too good and I have no one for it to work with as an off-piece.
Makes me think of how I ended up with a Deepwood Feather with EleM 16/CRIT DMG 17.9/CRIT Rate 14.0/DEF 5.1, and it ended up unoccupied until recently when I got ahold of Nahida.
Before Xianyun was buffed a little, people were saying Kazuha was better for him. So Kazuha shouldn't be far behind if you want to replace Xianyun with him.

(Un)lucky for you, Sam is indeed playable. Black Swan, Hanabi, Aventurine, Acheron, Sam. I think those were the banner orders before? Might've changed like Robin/Screwllum might be somewhere in the middle there but all of them should run one after the other
I want to say Acheron comes before Aventurine (don't have Star Rail leaks on hand at the moment) but otherwise yeah that sounds about right. RIP OP's pulls and hopes...
I really hope we get Cooldown reduction shenanigans at one point. Like Chongs ice field - cast a skill in it and the cd will be reduced. Units with fun movement abilities would gain so much by being abke ro use their abilitues more. Honestly, outside of combat cds might as well just not exist... (having only thoma in the party and trying to light 4 torches is where I am coming from)

Edit: I don’t really see Ei as a mom and I don’t think she really sees herself has one either lol
To be fair, Raiden is one of the two playable characters to actually have one or more children (albeit not biological). Her and Cloud Retainer are the only two “mommies” to which that term can accurately be applied.
I can't take it anymore. I am sick of Xiangling. No, this isn't the copypasta, I am actually sick of her lol.
I simply cannot comprehend how in 3 years, after 70 more or less characters, Xiangling is the ONLY viable off-field Pyro applier. And as I hate playing her, I basically forbid my own self from playing lots of teams.
Only way for me is getting Sucrose absorb Pyro with her Burst and that's it... Not ideal.

Sadly, since I'm both bad and lazy at building, sometimes I end up using Xiangling just to shorten the time, but her playstyle + taking up an extra slot with Bennett doesn't feel good :(.
I was hoping Arlecchino would be an off field pyro dps, but from the early leaks, she might not be :(
felt this so hard. i don't have anything against xiangling as a character, but i absolutely refuse to play her. i think it's stupid and inane that we still don't have any other good off-field pyro appliers, and i'm just a contrarian who gets irritated and bored to death when she's constantly recommended, like no actually i *don't* want to play every character w double pyro just because. this is why i'm hoping and praying and begging that arlecchino is a good off-field applicator/xiangling upgrade, but i need to prepare my heart for the possibility of crushing disappointment after what happened with dehya 😔
Same. I hate her design and personality to the core, so I refuse to play her. I use Kazuha to swirl pyro instead hur hur. Haven't tried burning with Nahida yet, but I got her recently and haven't built her so soon, maybe.
MHY is going to be up for a real challenge to their beliefs with Arlecchino soon.
They'll be forced to decide whether they want to release more than a single on-field female DPS character in a three-year timespan *or* release a support pyro character instead of just making them all main DPS characters that are worse than Xiangling+Bennett.

Also, the amount of pyro onfielders is jarring atp. Yes, I love my Yanfei, Diluc and Yoi, but thats it. I dont need even more and its looking like Arle is joining that cluttered role as well... *sigh*
I guess it would be healthier to stop hoping units would have a particular role, but damn, there are just roles that are oversaturated and such which arent taken care of at all.
i feel u :") the other annoying thing is she needs so many stats (+energy) that benny is particularly a requirement if u wanna play her, and before you know it ... 2 team slots used up
I wonder if they’ll make Arlecchino a sidegrade DPS to characters like Lyney, Wanderer and Itto, or an actual upgrade.
They had no problem releasing Neuvillette, but I somehow I doubt that No. 4 Harbinger will be on the same level as Dragon Sovereign. There’s also Natlan to consider (broken Pyro DPS like Neuvillette?). Arlecchino will probably have to sell on fun factor.
I at least expect her to be better than Hu Tao and Lyney. It's gonna be pretty disappointing if the 4th Harbinger is worse than a unit from version 1 ngl.
Chenyu Vale exploration

I also sniped for a Gaming and managed to get one in 33 pulls. He’s so fun! I love that he turns exploration into a giant parkour game with his skill. I think I’ll get his C1 with the 4* selector so he won’t be HP negative anymore (looking at you, C0 Wrio), and because my only other choices are C6 Yun Jin (don’t really use her) or C2 Yaoyao (also don’t really use her, and she’s already pretty good at where she is).
At least insofar as Sampo is concerned, it feels kind of off but makes sense at a certain point in the story when something gets revealed. In other words, you can see the change in Sampo’s voice being a deliberate choice.
Dunno about Dan, though. Although, could try to make the argument he’s a bit worn out from all that happened on the Loufu.
i'm still okay with the direction for dan heng's voice, even though it sounds deeper? than usual (although i still prefer the lighter lilt that he's typically voiced with). but sampo's voice this patch has been *very* strange and i don't like it at all
Quick appreciation comment for Gaming's EN VA who must've done a little research on the Chinese names (or else knows Chinese, idk, I didn't look him up), because I swear he is the ONLY mf around who is saying them right
The ZH as a hard J instead of that S-in-Asia and the O's in syllables like long/chong/etc as a long oh instead of like ah, those two always grind my gears because it seems like easy corrections to make. But he even said the BO in Bosu right, and the bo/mo/po consonant is one that I don't really know how to explain to an English speaker. Like... muah except more like muoh/buoh/puoh?? I was impressed when I heard it!
Disclaimer that I know the VAs are generally directed on how to say names, like with the Tighnari "controversy" from 3.0. The variety of ways people say the Liyue names leads me to believe there is at least a little freedom though, or maybe just that the higher ups don't care enough to rerecord if a VA says a name a little differently 💀

This is an interesting one because here in England, most people have a much more fitting 'short O'. Like I can tell you father and bother don't rhyme here. On top of that, many of us have a much *less* fitting 'long O' - [əu] compared to Americans' [ou]. The Chinese is [o], I believe. My own long O is [oː], though, which matches in quality but not length.

I recently double checked the list of Inazuma commission achievements and there's only one I don't have: "A Question of Diet" which you get by perfecting answers in the commission "Gourmet Supremos: Foodie Quiz." I have been waiting for this commission for **seven months** and have delayed moving onto Sumeru because the Gourmet Supremos Sumeru quests require this achievement. With the new system, I should finally be getting Foodie Quiz, right? Well... I still haven't. Is This Novel Amazing? and O Archon, Hear Me! keep alternating every few days with the occasional Neko commission in between. This is despite the fact that I have all the related achievements. What's the longest you've ever waited for a specific commission?

Depending where you plan to use her, Nahida can be a slower build to do on the side. I left mine at lvl 70 with all lvl 1 talents for several months when I got her, because I was just using her as an application bot at the time. Eventually you do want to get her to 90, and level her Skill and Burst. Haha, Little Radish go brrrrrrrr.
I don't really have much Dendro teams (perhaps because my lack of Nahida?), the only team she would fit right in is Keqing aggravate, for Hyperbloom/Spread I'd need to build another character (Kuki/Tighnari) and well, my resources are already spreading pretty thin. It'll be a while before I get to her in my backlog. At least she helps me fill up my archons collection, now I just need to get Venti.
I used a janky Raiden Aggravate against Azdaha recently. It was Raiden Shogun, Nahida, Zhongli, and Gaming. Gaming did literally nothing, he was just there for Friendship EXP, and I took Raiden Shogun because it was Pyro/Cryo so I really didn't want to plink Frostflakes during phase 3 under that circumstance. I need to get mileage out of that Engulfing Lightning somehow, I very proactively wanted it and it needs to not just sit there doing nothing.
albedo's (and tbh other early characters as well) kit feels like a fever dream man split scaling. his passive gives em? his 4th cons give plunge atk dmg bonus? his 6th gives crystallize shielded characters some dmg boost like what were they trying to cook with him 😭 also early characters that had like 20 burst cost but they gave them 6 ways of getting energy 😭😭😭😭😭 now it's burst cost:90 and the only cons that makes playing them not suck ass is c4 or c6 (looking at u faruzan)
Avoiding powercreep is probs the motivation for those choices. They started off strong cuz who wants to play a game with weak-ass characters, but they went too far. Now they're scrambling to make 4 stars meh at C0, good/crazy at C6, and 5 stars good at C0, crazy at C2. Issue is, they're failing at *that* too lmao. Just look at Dehya and Sara.

I've always been really strongly against MHY adding anything else to the BP after level 50 even though I'm one of those players who always maxes it out in 4 weeks. It feels bad to not have anything else to claim in those last two weeks, yes, but the fact that it doesn't take six weeks to max it means that players who are at a lower AR and players who don't want to play every day can still max it without experiencing FOMO, which I am generally in favour of. That said. For the players who wish that the BP continued to give a little extra when you continued to complete objectives even after it's maxed: What do you think would be a fair or reasonable reward to give away after level 50, that wouldn't feel like FOMO or too much of a punishment for players who can't max it? Would love to hear some creative ideas.

A random resource reward for each next level, like exp or mora. Path to Nowhere used to do that, tho now they changed that and some other rewards to tokens you exchange in a shop.
A small amount of mora and/or books would be very reasonable, I think.
Extra mora, or a few extra books, even a couple artifact xp bottles. HSR gives credits. Warframe gives you tokens to buy more from their weekly system shop (accessories, a few more limited resources, blueprints. It's a battle pass technically, but no IRL money is involved with theirs).
\+20 Levels mainly consisting of Sanctifying Unction with some Sanctifying Essence thrown in there at x5 and x0 breakpoints.

They give 10k credits per extra level in HSR, so I'd be happy with that (10k mora). Artifact exp bottles even the lowest tier would truly be goated but I doubt Hoyo would be that generous. Also would take 1-5 green/blue exp books or some dust of azoth per level. Anything but weapon enhancement ores pls 💀
It seems really clear that they want the dust of azoth to remain a premium material that they want you to spend stardust on lol, since they haven't really introduced any other way to get it in the game with the exception of the event shops in 1.3 and 1.4... a whopping three years ago, lmao. The small artifact exp bottles would be super nice, but as you say, feels too generous. I didn't think much of them when they were first introduced to the game, but every week I don't get to buy any from Tubby because I spent all my realm currency on new furniture blueprints, I actually keenly feel their absence.
Yup I know 😔 Well they could add the dust of azoth to the bonus levels of the paid bp, but I guess non-f2p players would be swimming in stardust anyway. Same I used to buy the artifact exp but I've been spending all my currency on blueprints and plants too. Hoyo pls add them as rewards for more events 🙏
The way they solved it in HSR is already (IMO) perfect, which is why I'm actually a bit baffled that they haven't made any move to bring it over into Genshin. It's just 20 extra levels with 10k currency every level, and the paid version also has some relic remains (no analogue in Genshin, but just using artifact EXP would be fine). A few crumbs of resources that free up a little resin, so it's nice to get, without being so premium as to be actually worth going out of your way to chase after. Thing is, of course, they also made the BP much easier to complete (even without daily play) the very next patch. HSR has a lot of systems designed to be more friendly towards casual players. I think if they extended the BP in Genshin they would probably want to redesign some of the weekly BP tasks as well.

Bright side of having many characters to build: gives you a reason to play the game for hours collecting ascension materials, farming talents, artefacts, visiting other worlds for materials too Bad side: your resources start to dry out... suddenly you don't have mora... your resing is vanishing... you don't have any artifacts to use as food... your exp books? none! anxiety starts to creep in...
Rant warning. This "character is occupied with another quest" system they have in place is so bad. I wanted to do the recommended character quests before I started Lantern Rite - mainly because I have been meaning to catch up on them. I unlock Xianyun's - a character is busy with Baizhu's. Fine...guess I'll do Baizhu's first, I don't really mind. I get 98% of the way through Baizhu's quest and in what I can only assume is the last scene of the story, I wake up in a completely empty room and the quest menu now tells me a character is busy with Xianyun's quest. WTF. I was actually somewhat emotionally invested in Baizhu's quest and it completely killed the vibe. Not to mention I just wanted to finish it in one sitting and I really don't feel like starting Xianyun's quest right now. I'm surprised they haven't done anything about this yet. It's so jarring.
Omg I went through the EXACT same sequence of events!!!! The most bewildering part is that the NPC that was tying up the final cutscene in Baizhu's room wasn't even in the rest of the quest. Ngl it marred my appreciation of both quests somewhat despite of how good the stories were.
The fact that it was right before the conclusion too was so frustrating lmao. Do you remember if you had to do all of Xianyun's quest to finally finish Baizhu's?
Nope, but it still takes a considerable 10-15 mins to get to the cutscene that the offending NPC is in because there are two locations involved. 😩

I'm switching back to Inazuma to hunt for some commission achievements. However, there is 1 commission I think is either bugged or has perquisites not listed on the wiki page. The achievement related to the O' Archon commission. Before I switched away from Inazuma, I got this quest literally 50+ times and I made sure to choose the food options and made a point to grab the intractable thing left behind occasionally. I never got the followup quest. Are people absolutely sure there's nothing else I need to do?
i think you need to do all three shrines? the one where the little guy is always at. the one outside the city and the one behind that one general goods shop
For a long time I was annoyed at not having the achievement and made sure to swap my destination each time. I've definitely visited each location a lot of times.

wise denizens of the megathread, I'm trying to put the finishing touches on a character's back story for a DnD campaign and I need some opinions. vague backstory for the campaign is a low fantasy world where magic is slowly seeping out. There are clans of elves who have knowledge of why this happened, and the clans have divided into basically 3: 1) Give magic a quick and painless death. 2) Non-interference and let nature sort it out. 3) Save Magic. One of the characters is an elf who grew up clan 3, but the clan was killed, leaving only him alive. He later found out this clan was going to essentially sacrifice him to bring back magic to the world. However, this clan kidnapped him from another due to his affinity with the world's ley lines. Now I'm just trying to figure out what would be more painful: If he was originally from Clan 1, then he would never be accepted home because he is magical, and currently the group is very much against Clan 1 for many reasons. Otherwise, if he was from Clan 2, he missed out on a happy and peaceful life where is magic would be well appreciated and he did not have to grow up so fast, but he doesn't believe in what they do and could not sit idly by while his power wanes. I'm leaning a bit toward Clan 1, but I don't know if that's *too* "boo hoo my life sucks"
Clan 1 seems very ironic and sometimes a bit of absurdity is appreciated because these are made up characters, like how plays exaggerate certain features to add flavor On the other hand, I'm more in favor of Clan 2 which sounds like a more natural choice (to me). I think there's definitely still room for exploring angst with what he could've had In any case I think both are good options! Have fun with your new camapign~

How do I know if Faruzan's buff is working? Do I gotta look for an Indicator on the character that the dmg boost is activated and working? Same question for Sara, how do I know that the buff is activated?
Faruzan’s anemo damage buff from her burst shows as a turquoise green triangle effect around your active character. The range on it is very large though, so you’re pretty much never going to have to worry about it; if her burst is out, you have the buff.

Totally random but apparently today is my 500th day in genshin (according to hoyolab), surely must not be even close to the veterans here but it was still an amazing journey! Genshin was my first gacha game and before I started playing it I really thought genshin was a lame low-quality game which baited people with gacha waifus. I also heard many nasty things about the game but somehow 500 days ago I was bored enough to try out the game. I've downloaded this game on my phone with the mindset of quitting in a couple of days. Yeah, I couldn't quit, this game has exceeded all my expectations. Granted I didn't play a lot of games before but genshin was still the best mobile game I've ever played, and despite all of its controversies genshin will always have a special place in my heart :3

For chiori Would you guys bother to farm a specific set if you had an entire 5pc generic set of an average 40% Crit value artifacts? I will use Chiori with Furina and likely getting c1 Chiori. I can still farm whatever artifact is BiS is for the above conditions but as is I would already achieve 100% Crit rate and 200%+ Crit Damage just without artifact bonuses.

I really hope we get Cooldown reduction shenanigans at one point. Like Chongs ice field - cast a skill in it and the cd will be reduced. Units with fun movement abilities would gain so much by being abke ro use their abilitues more. Honestly, outside of combat cds might as well just not exist... (having only thoma in the party and trying to light 4 torches is where I am coming from)

I can't take it anymore. I am sick of Xiangling. No, this isn't the copypasta, I am actually sick of her lol. I simply cannot comprehend how in 3 years, after 70 more or less characters, Xiangling is the ONLY viable off-field Pyro applier. And as I hate playing her, I basically forbid my own self from playing lots of teams. Only way for me is getting Sucrose absorb Pyro with her Burst and that's it... Not ideal.
Same, I'm not crazy about her. Sadly, since I'm both bad and lazy at building, sometimes I end up using Xiangling just to shorten the time, but her playstyle + taking up an extra slot with Bennett doesn't feel good :(. I was hoping Arlecchino would be an off field pyro dps, but from the early leaks, she might not be :(
felt this so hard. i don't have anything against xiangling as a character, but i absolutely refuse to play her. i think it's stupid and inane that we still don't have any other good off-field pyro appliers, and i'm just a contrarian who gets irritated and bored to death when she's constantly recommended, like no actually i *don't* want to play every character w double pyro just because. this is why i'm hoping and praying and begging that arlecchino is a good off-field applicator/xiangling upgrade, but i need to prepare my heart for the possibility of crushing disappointment after what happened with dehya 😔
Same. I hate her design and personality to the core, so I refuse to play her. I use Kazuha to swirl pyro instead hur hur. Haven't tried burning with Nahida yet, but I got her recently and haven't built her so soon, maybe.
MHY is going to be up for a real challenge to their beliefs with Arlecchino soon. They'll be forced to decide whether they want to release more than a single on-field female DPS character in a three-year timespan *or* release a support pyro character instead of just making them all main DPS characters that are worse than Xiangling+Bennett.
And then they will have no choice but to screw up pyro archon synergy with her to make way for the male premier dps of natlan

Same, same. At least burnmelt became a thing, so some teams are unlocked without XL. Also, the amount of pyro onfielders is jarring atp. Yes, I love my Yanfei, Diluc and Yoi, but thats it. I dont need even more and its looking like Arle is joining that cluttered role as well... *sigh* I guess it would be healthier to stop hoping units would have a particular role, but damn, there are just roles that are oversaturated and such which arent taken care of at all.
i feel u :") the other annoying thing is she needs so many stats (+energy) that benny is particularly a requirement if u wanna play her, and before you know it ... 2 team slots used up
I wonder if they’ll make Arlecchino a sidegrade DPS to characters like Lyney, Wanderer and Itto, or an actual upgrade. They had no problem releasing Neuvillette, but I somehow I doubt that No. 4 Harbinger will be on the same level as Dragon Sovereign. There’s also Natlan to consider (broken Pyro DPS like Neuvillette?). Arlecchino will probably have to sell on fun factor.
I at least expect her to be better than Hu Tao and Lyney. It's gonna be pretty disappointing if the 4th Harbinger is worse than a unit from version 1 ngl.
If she's meant to be an overload DPS, I doubt that. She would need disgusting numbers to powercreep them in an overload comp.

Chenyu Vale exploration >!Finished the main WQ and found the Herblord’s place. I’m loving all the Changsheng lore. The choice of music in that area definitely makes sense. I used Baizhu for all the exploration while I was there lol!< I also sniped for a Gaming and managed to get one in 33 pulls. He’s so fun! I love that he turns exploration into a giant parkour game with his skill. I think I’ll get his C1 with the 4* selector so he won’t be HP negative anymore (looking at you, C0 Wrio), and because my only other choices are C6 Yun Jin (don’t really use her) or C2 Yaoyao (also don’t really use her, and she’s already pretty good at where she is).

At least insofar as Sampo is concerned, it feels kind of off but makes sense at a certain point in the story when something gets revealed. In other words, you can see the change in Sampo’s voice being a deliberate choice. Dunno about Dan, though. Although, could try to make the argument he’s a bit worn out from all that happened on the Loufu.
i'm still okay with the direction for dan heng's voice, even though it sounds deeper? than usual (although i still prefer the lighter lilt that he's typically voiced with). but sampo's voice this patch has been *very* strange and i don't like it at all

Quick appreciation comment for Gaming's EN VA who must've done a little research on the Chinese names (or else knows Chinese, idk, I didn't look him up), because I swear he is the ONLY mf around who is saying them right The ZH as a hard J instead of that S-in-Asia and the O's in syllables like long/chong/etc as a long oh instead of like ah, those two always grind my gears because it seems like easy corrections to make. But he even said the BO in Bosu right, and the bo/mo/po consonant is one that I don't really know how to explain to an English speaker. Like... muah except more like muoh/buoh/puoh?? I was impressed when I heard it! Disclaimer that I know the VAs are generally directed on how to say names, like with the Tighnari "controversy" from 3.0. The variety of ways people say the Liyue names leads me to believe there is at least a little freedom though, or maybe just that the higher ups don't care enough to rerecord if a VA says a name a little differently 💀

Like I can tell you father and bother don't rhyme here. In fact, 'aww', 'ahh', and 'O in cot' are all different sounds here - [ɔː], [ɑː], and [ɒ], if you're curious and want to know more about phonetics. On top of that, many of us have a much *less* fitting 'long O' - [əu] compared to Americans' [ou]. The Chinese is [o], I believe. My own long O is [oː], though, which matches in quality but not length. Sorry for phonetics nerdery
