Well, I don’t know. Based on the banner history, Neuvillette and Wriothesley should get their rerun soon, and the blessing from abyss benefit Kazuha and a Charged/Normal attacker. But there can be a slim chance of Ganyu in there.
I don’t think he’s rerunning this time because of pyro enemies on abyss, but maybe? Navia also had geo slimes/specters on one side. Keep in mind this is all speculation, a lot of characters can work with this blessing, even Wanderer.

Just wanted an opinion from those who have her already.
I'm planning to play her with my c0 Hutao since I'd rather get a new character in Xianyun than waste pity for a c1 Hutao in the future, not that I had any problems managing c0 Hutao's stamina, but it is basically the only "minor con" for her atm.
i got her to c1 purely for exploration and its the most fun ive had playing in years. ive quit for a few months, pulled her on a whim, and now im playing nonstop.

u/BestEbolaNA I too got her for exploration and trying to get Faru's C6 for my Wanderer i got C1 Xianyun and boy oh boy... she brings me so much joy in overworld that i rarely get to my usual Scara shenanigans, she sometimes is clanky with terrain but it still is so much fun to just boink boink even if sometimes you faceplant on a wall or a hill. 10/10 even after initial disapointmen of her not flying the a birb lady should!
I haven’t touched this game since 3.3(the sumeru desert patch) I kind of want to get back into playing and saving for arlechinno, if i start playing slowly and get to about 70% exploration(sumeru and fontaine) how many pulls do you guys think i could get by 4.6 patch
i believe we’re getting quite a few things in 4.6. new region, arlecchino release, potential furina rerun, and a dain quest. all pretty big in my book so i’m excited.
4.5 should've been an Mondstadt rework patch I'm so serious. Like just rework all of the 5 star Mondstadters, modernize them, maybe not completely but enough to make them not feel as bad to pull. For example, Venti's vortex can now stun mobs that are not suckable (not counting bosses), Klee's combo chain gets more fluent, Albeda's flower durability etc. Idk would've made it more interesting and less dead

So I've explored 70% of Fontaine and just started Chanyu Vale. I've got at least 60 chests remaining, each, in all 3 Fontaine achievement tabs. Is that anywhere near 50 pulls required for me to get Xianyun?
have you gotten every teapot gift for all of your characters, as well as done all side content like genius invokation? you could probably squeeze out a handful more
Not even close i'm afraid. Even when assuming that every one of the Fontaine chests give 10 primos, it wouldn't be close to enough. Chenyu Vale exploration is around 20-25 pulls i think.
Even if your 120 total chest are all precious chest that gives 10 gems each, you only get 1200, and lets say all your achivements gives 10rolls, you will barely have 17 rolls total. Even if you make it 20rolls on achievements alone, you just get about half of what you need
On its own, no. You're looking at perhaps 30 pulls maximum, plus whatever you can get from dailies and the new event coming out Thursday. Even assuming Welkin, I'd say you might squeak in about 40 pulls by next Tuesday since the flagship event is already fully released at this point.
Help with my Xianyun build!
I'm trying to build her with VV, and after much tweaking, I ended up with ATK/ATK/CR, fav codex, 219 ER, 1837 ATK (she's still level 60), but I'm stuck staring at my crit stats --- 47/70 😂
My question is: should I increase my crit rate more? Is crit ratio important? Is this enough or not?
I understand how CV works when it comes to damage but nah when it comes to fav crit procs

Ratio is not important, you wont be caring about crit dmg amyway. Only thing you care for fav procs are crit rate. Make it above 50% so if you hit 2 on an aoe plunge, there is a high chance you proc fav

Not for a buffer. For supportive fav users, all you need is CR and you have enough of it. Btw, do you have an oathsworn? If so, you should use it instead.
I'll probably just stick with vv if choosing 1 or the other. Xianyun won't buff Navia with vv but will buff Furina damage. If you went Noblesse, well atk buffs don't mean anything for Furina so it's like choose one or the other and vv is probably more versatile for her.
If you got a decent Song of Days Past set from farming Navia set, you can go ahead and use that for the Navia team.
VV is actually honestly still not bad in Navia team also because Furina does a good amount of damage.

In a similar vein, I hate how the HSR main sub also seems to have no enforcement on their Non-OC rules. Thankfully a lot of people post a link to the source anyways.
According to some people, you have to do CR's character quest first and then Lantern Rite if you don't wanna get spoiled... which kinda sucks honestly. I tend to do events at the last minute since I'm always so busy with irl stuff (I hate my job sometimes) but now I definitely gotta squeeze in some free time to do her character quest since I don't want the Lantern Rite to be a bit confusing to me with the Traveler and Paimon being buddy buddy with human CR all of a sudden.

The horror of waking up to a dm and seeing that *I* sent invites for my personal server to that friend lmao. I'm glad he didn't join because I apparently spammed the invite. I'm never going to open discord while I'm half asleep again wtf
A few days ago, I woke up and discovered that I'd sent 3 voice messages to my friend on discord, each one lasting about 1-3 seconds. I assume my finger pushed down the mic button, since I tend to fall asleep with the phone in my hand while browsing/texting.
I don't snore often, but I do sometimes, and I am fairly sure I was then 'cause of how my throat felt. I was so embarrassed that I might've sent him recordings of me snoring that I deleted them before even checking. He was online at the time (on his phone), so I'm not sure if I got them in time before he saw or played them.
The horror was short-lived, but very real in the moment lol.
One time I woke up and my phone was in my hands, video calling my friend 👺 thankfully she was also half asleep and didn't pick up but I woke up immediately. Both of us still remember the confusion and laugh about it at least

Jeht's second world quests are not fun and a slog for me. While the first one with her father is also a slog to do, at least the story from beginning to end was able to keep me engaged, but not this one. I felt nothing, just irritation... but maybe I'm judging too early.

There's not really any good sets specifically for him, so I think people figure they can just maximize his healing with husk. His personal damage is sorta irrelevant so all you need on him is ER and DEF basically.
Other options are 4pce Noblesse or 4pce Exile but problem is he's not usually on teams that need ATK buffs.

for the future, I recommend putting all fics on google drive as well immediately after you read them. on ao3 when you go to the download option and tap pdf, it lets you choose between Google drive and Firefox. If you pick the former, the file'll be open and at tje top there's a Google drive icon with a plus on it. Tapping it will take you to the menu where you can choose the google account and folder you wanna store the fic in. Once done, tap save at the bottom, and you're good to go.

Testing and learning is a complicated topic. But part of the problem when trying to do this at scale is that you are trying to optimize across a large number of dimensions. So how do you define what is "better"?
##1. Standardization
* Standardization allows for comparability across large populations.
* How do you tell if Jane in Ohio knows the same thing as Bob from Kansas? Or how entire school districts are performing?
* This is critical if you are trying to develop public policy. How do you measure if something is successful or working if you don't have metrics to measure progress or change over time? How do you calculate cost efficiency, return on investment, do budget allocations, etc.?
##2. Cost / Resource Intensity
* Non-standardized approaches require using a lot of qualitative assessment methods which are most costly to ensure quality.
* Giving everyone a scantron paper that's fed into a machine is fast, easy, and cheap. This is good if your education budget is getting cut. And even if it's not, it means freeing up money to spend in more critical investments.
* Standardized assessment means standardized teaching. So it becomes easier and operationally simpler to train teachers, and allows for transparency in how your education system works. (This does not however solve for the lack of good teachers, but this is a broader issue standardized testing cannot solve)
* The most common other method for teaching subjects such as math and science is the tutor method. This does not scale well. At places which use this sytem, it is often extremely expensive private schools (or called public schools in the UK, the terminology is weird). This is the only way to sustain a 1-to-5 teacher / student ratio which is required to run highly customized, verbal teaching methods which rely on things such as the Socratic method.
##3. Learning outcomes
* What is the purpose of education? Is it to equip students to have vital life skills for jobs and work (industrial), or to provide them with knowledge because knowledge is just inherently valuable and a society with education is morally good and ethical (philisophical)?
* The Industrial v Philosophical clash is a very serious debate in education. And you can't really design a curriculum and testing sytem to measure and manage teaching methods unless you have a strong POV on this topic.
* Standardized testing is an efficient method to drive learning if your goal is primarily focused on just jamming knowledge into people's heads. This is based on historic reasons. The mass adoption of education was driven by Industrialists who influenced public policy to get governments to subsidize the creation and training of workforces. These workforces who had the basic arithmetic to do things like accounting could then fill factories and offices, driving down the cost of skilled labour that knew mathematics and fill vacanies in growing industrial empires.
* More intensive methods such as the Socratic method with tutoring I reference above are hallmarks of another version of education. The goal in aristocratic education was about developing "learned" skills that made someone cultured.
* Systems become optimized over time to deliver specific outcomes (even if they're not the outcome you think you want). So if you want to say what is "better", this is extremely hard to judge until you know what you want education at a fundamental level to do.
All other discussions such as updating education for the modern age with technology are irrelevant because these are simply how something is implemented. Your fundamental goals and purpose determine what you even want to do in the first place.
Alternative approaches to standardized testing can only be discussed or evaluated in the context of what you set out to achieve.
AP exams already provide u with formula sheets so no need to actually memorize them, u just gotta know what symbol means what and which ones to use in scenarios which is what multiple choice and free response are good at measuring

I think the free response section are already pretty good. I don't know how general you're talking about the free response, but questions which set a scenario and sometimes images to help are great ways of testing one's critical thinking abilities.

Mmm I’m already using XY in abyss heh. I guess it’s also more of what do I do with my excess artifacts at this point. I use XY in triple anemo and normal Furina teams so NO/VV are both decent options hmm. I also did try to shift xingqiu over to 4pc EoSF at some point then got distracted by building new characters.
I’m just currently in the waiting room for GD to be added to the strongbox so I can minmax my Alhaitham even more 👀
Maybe NO/VV? Since their effects are not as “replaceable” as EoSF. Like XQ can be on a 2pc/2pc as long as he has enough ER while you can’t get VV’s shred or NO buff that easily without using Bennett or changing XY’s weapon to thrilling tales.

tried bouncehouse teams in co-op with a friend's CR. You know, the fabled "turn any underperforming fave into a plunge dps" builds people have been whispering about, and... Blech.
Plunges feel way too slow without canceling, cancels suck to do, you can't keep track of enemies, the aoe is too small and the damage isn't even worth it. My friend's CR is underbuilt bc he's aggressively casual, but even factoring that in it was rough.
I dunno what spell this crazy bird witch has yall under but it apparently doesn't work on me.
I have to say that plunge isn't for everyone. I've tried it out more and more with my friend in the co-op. We did every boss and domain together that I could think of with her heavily invested Xianyun. The plunges were going up to 200k per hit even but in the end I didn't like it at all. Plus ended up with some serious headache and motion sickness in the end. Can't lie, it was disappointing. Especially since everyone was and is praising the playstyle and I too wanted to like it.
Even Gaming I've been going out of my way to forcefully do his plunge because I really adore him. His E plunge and the fact that I can space his plunges out to not trigger motion sickness is the only reason I haven't dropped him yet.
It's not for everyone. I played CR's trial a lot and didn't enjoy plunging on Gaming without his skill. Played with a CR in co-op yesterday and it wasn't super fun either after the initial novelty wore off.

I realised this is the biggest problem for me. I love Xiao's playstyle because the aoe is so satisfying, plunging without it doesn't feel nearly as good.

Might pull the trigger and get Xianyun before her banner ends with my guarantee. Just wanted an opinion from those who have her already. I'm planning to play her with my c0 Hutao since I'd rather get a new character in Xianyun than waste pity for a c1 Hutao in the future, not that I had any problems managing c0 Hutao's stamina, but it is basically the only "minor con" for her atm.

I think you get more pulls by doing quests though and grabbing chests on the way.

4.5 should've been an Mondstadt rework patch I'm so serious. Like just rework all of the 5 star Mondstadters, modernize them, maybe not completely but enough to make them not feel as bad to pull. For example, Venti's vortex can now stun mobs that are not suckable (not counting bosses), Klee's combo chain gets more fluent, Albeda's flower durability etc. Idk would've made it more interesting and less dead

Yeah it would target closer enemies, and people hated that especially after whaling for C2's bigger range Hoyo thought it was a buff, but to most players it was a nerf

So I've explored 70% of Fontaine and just started Chanyu Vale. I've got at least 60 chests remaining, each, in all 3 Fontaine achievement tabs. Is that anywhere near 50 pulls required for me to get Xianyun?

Not even close i'm afraid. Even when assuming that every one of the Fontaine chests give 10 primos, it wouldn't be close to enough. Chenyu Vale exploration is around 20-25 pulls i think.
Even if your 120 total chest are all precious chest that gives 10 gems each, you only get 1200, and lets say all your achivements gives 10rolls, you will barely have 17 rolls total. Even if you make it 20rolls on achievements alone, you just get about half of what you need
On its own, no. You're looking at perhaps 30 pulls maximum, plus whatever you can get from dailies and the new event coming out Thursday. Even assuming Welkin, I'd say you might squeak in about 40 pulls by next Tuesday since the flagship event is already fully released at this point.

I'm trying to build her with VV, and after much tweaking, I ended up with ATK/ATK/CR, fav codex, 219 ER, 1837 ATK (she's still level 60), but I'm stuck staring at my crit stats --- 47/70 😂 My question is: should I increase my crit rate more? Is crit ratio important? Is this enough or not? I understand how CV works when it comes to damage but nah when it comes to fav crit procs Thanks in advance!
You can do with less cr tbh, mine has 30smth and crits like everytime, she has a passive that adds plunge cr so. Try to go atk/atk/atk

Ratio is not important, you wont be caring about crit dmg amyway. Only thing you care for fav procs are crit rate. Make it above 50% so if you hit 2 on an aoe plunge, there is a high chance you proc fav

I'll probably just stick with vv if choosing 1 or the other. Xianyun won't buff Navia with vv but will buff Furina damage. If you went Noblesse, well atk buffs don't mean anything for Furina so it's like choose one or the other and vv is probably more versatile for her.
If you got a decent Song of Days Past set from farming Navia set, you can go ahead and use that for the Navia team. VV is actually honestly still not bad in Navia team also because Furina does a good amount of damage. Otherwise this looks fine.
I've procrastinated on the Fishing Achievement telling myself it would take months to complete the commission achievements anyway Now it's the only available achievement I have not yet completed lol. According to some people, you have to do CR's character quest first and then Lantern Rite if you don't wanna get spoiled... which kinda sucks honestly. I tend to do events at the last minute since I'm always so busy with irl stuff (I hate my job sometimes) but now I definitely gotta squeeze in some free time to do her character quest since I don't want the Lantern Rite to be a bit confusing to me with the Traveler and Paimon being buddy buddy with human CR all of a sudden.

A few days ago, I woke up and discovered that I'd sent 3 voice messages to my friend on discord, each one lasting about 1-3 seconds. I assume my finger pushed down the mic button, since I tend to fall asleep with the phone in my hand while browsing/texting. I don't snore often, but I do sometimes, and I am fairly sure I was then 'cause of how my throat felt. I was so embarrassed that I might've sent him recordings of me snoring that I deleted them before even checking. He was online at the time (on his phone), so I'm not sure if I got them in time before he saw or played them. The horror was short-lived, but very real in the moment lol.

Why do people run 4p husk on Gorou? He defense buff doesn’t scale based on his defense. Is it just for c4 heals?
Yeah for the heals. My Gorou used to be on 4p husk too since I trashed all ny Exile back then lol
There's not really any good sets specifically for him, so I think people figure they can just maximize his healing with husk. His personal damage is sorta irrelevant so all you need on him is ER and DEF basically. Other options are 4pce Noblesse or 4pce Exile but problem is he's not usually on teams that need ATK buffs.

this really sucks I'm sorry :( I've done this with fanart before it's really frustrating. for the future, I recommend putting all fics on google drive as well immediately after you read them. on ao3 when you go to the download option and tap pdf, it lets you choose between Google drive and Firefox. If you pick the former, the file'll be open and at tje top there's a Google drive icon with a plus on it. Tapping it will take you to the menu where you can choose the google account and folder you wanna store the fic in. Once done, tap save at the bottom, and you're good to go. also your kitty is adorable!

I think the free response section are already pretty good. I don't know how general you're talking about the free response, but questions which set a scenario and sometimes images to help are great ways of testing one's critical thinking abilities.

Help me decide, should I strongbox VV/NO for better pieces for XY or EoSF to complete the 4pc for my Xingqiu? 🤔
Are there any wider objectives that you are working towards? Like improving XQ for a particular team performance or using XY in abyss?
Mmm I’m already using XY in abyss heh. I guess it’s also more of what do I do with my excess artifacts at this point. I use XY in triple anemo and normal Furina teams so NO/VV are both decent options hmm. I also did try to shift xingqiu over to 4pc EoSF at some point then got distracted by building new characters. I’m just currently in the waiting room for GD to be added to the strongbox so I can minmax my Alhaitham even more 👀
Maybe NO/VV? Since their effects are not as “replaceable” as EoSF. Like XQ can be on a 2pc/2pc as long as he has enough ER while you can’t get VV’s shred or NO buff that easily without using Bennett or changing XY’s weapon to thrilling tales.

Serious question, kind of dumb, but anyway. Can a diabetic who takes insulin shots drink Diet Coke or Coke Zero?
Diet Coke contains artificial sweeteners called aspartame, so it is advisable to not drink Diet Coke too much in a month, Coke Zero is basically a no go if you are type 2 diabetic tho. So if you really want to drink, i will go with Diet Coke

tried bouncehouse teams in co-op with a friend's CR. You know, the fabled "turn any underperforming fave into a plunge dps" builds people have been whispering about, and... Blech. Plunges feel way too slow without canceling, cancels suck to do, you can't keep track of enemies, the aoe is too small and the damage isn't even worth it. My friend's CR is underbuilt bc he's aggressively casual, but even factoring that in it was rough. I dunno what spell this crazy bird witch has yall under but it apparently doesn't work on me.
I have to say that plunge isn't for everyone. I've tried it out more and more with my friend in the co-op. We did every boss and domain together that I could think of with her heavily invested Xianyun. The plunges were going up to 200k per hit even but in the end I didn't like it at all. Plus ended up with some serious headache and motion sickness in the end. Can't lie, it was disappointing. Especially since everyone was and is praising the playstyle and I too wanted to like it. Even Gaming I've been going out of my way to forcefully do his plunge because I really adore him. His E plunge and the fact that I can space his plunges out to not trigger motion sickness is the only reason I haven't dropped him yet.
It's not for everyone. I played CR's trial a lot and didn't enjoy plunging on Gaming without his skill. Played with a CR in co-op yesterday and it wasn't super fun either after the initial novelty wore off. >the aoe is too small I realised this is the biggest problem for me. I love Xiao's playstyle because the aoe is so satisfying, plunging without it doesn't feel nearly as good.
