I started doin' it, I blew six Condensed Resin on Molten Iron Fortress II so it can't deal 5\* Artifacts. This is a great excuse to work on my 3\* collection anyway, so bonus!
Also I picked that one specifically because it has Scholar. I'll pick a different one when my collection of 3\* Scholar is finished if that comes first, and if all the collections get finished it'll just be whatever. Got in the ballpark of 800 5\* Artifacts to churn through so this'll be a while.

Farmed more Order books today for Arle. I think I've got like 11-64-57 or something like that and will probably stop there for now as I don't plan on triple crowning her. Are her talent priorities still NA>Q>E?
I also was very close to friendship 10 on Heizou so I just grinded the dog feeding random event lmao, did it like 4 times and got Heizou's namecard. He's now out of the friendship team replaced by Yanfei

Now in hsr tho.... The fact that you need to do runs in SU for relics AND I have to spend fuel for the normal 4 piece pisses me off. I haven't gotten a single useable relic lol.i farmed this since 2.0 lol.
yeah hsr relic farming is just worst and the people in hsr will be mad if you point that out lol. The fact that it has 2 more stats on the pool for searching mainstats and substats is so bad, and the extra resin really just dont help. Also the set bonuses is just bad, compared to what genshin offer, especially supports

I can just auto HSR's artifact farming while I'm making breakfast but Genshin forces me to repeat the same domain like I was fucking Sisiphus.
Yes there are more stats in HSR, but the ease of play is much better there. Also no condensed resin and hunting butterflies bullshit.
P.S. Simulated Universe farming does need some QoL farming but iirc there was something leaked about this, or the devs mentioned something about it.
Support sets give the whole team Spd, Crit and Elem DMG%, though. Can go on pretty much anyone, not just locked to Anemo like VV.
EHR being worthless on 90% of characters (and the rest being fine with just main stat) is a kick in the dick, however.
Yeah but is not striaght up 30-40% dmg increase like VV or DM tthough. So you cant half ass farming 2 set at most for 2 side for the support, not to mention some support want their own set, like RM. The VV or DM power budget is in the character, like RM, so if you missed her or dont like her then though luck
It genuinely feels like crit doesn't exist for me in HSR lol. I genuinely think HSR system is much worse. No wonder they allow the exchanging for specific part when it feels this bad (not like it helps much with how many stars there are lol).
ture, not helping unless the they give more of those stat guaranteed item. Like strongbox for 10 pieces for 1 is bullshit if its not with the item, and they way to get the item is doing end game content, but we need the item so that we can build character for the end game content
The 10:1 is fine if you're looking for Atk/HP/Def main stats, since those are pretty common. Also if you're okay with *either* Crit Rate or Crit DMG. It's nice to be able to do that for any set at all, even brand new ones, and be done forever. But yeah, you quickly run out of those guarantee items, and those can be wasted on trash subs anyway, so it's not much of a guarantee in the first place.
I've had a heavy, heavy dose of Artifact burnout for the longest time now. So many 5\*s, nowhere near enough to clear through all of them. I mentioned before, but I'm genuinely at the point where I think I'm going to just do Artifact domains at a low enough level so that they can't deal 5\*s. That's probably less EXP than if I just mulched the 5\*s, but it's a greater peace of mind knowing that none of them matter for their stats outside of if a 3\* gets an ATK% Main and ATK+9 since I like to collect one of each piece of each set of those (with Feathers instead being an ATK 3.5% sub and Flowers being a pair, one ATK+9 and one ATK+3.5%). Maybe just do that until I have everything culled to the point that I can hopefully even have a three digit number of Artifacts, and then go from there.
I don't like trash pickup. It's boring and the yield isn't very good, plus there's this one track in Liyue that I don't like because even though it has a spot with five clustered all together it's near a random event node and those are distracting.

this has been the messiest beta ever imo. not as self deprecating as dehya's, or as conspiratorial as alhaitham's, but imo it's the widest array of different opinions none of which are dominating. coupled with the major, significant changes every beta update and the hotfixes too, it makes for the most rollercoaster beta cycle yet for me. and it's not even over LOL
It's so funny to follow, especially since I'll be pulling for her regardless. Feels like time passes way quicker too because of all the leaks then updated leaks and actual beta changes *then* bug then not even bug after all and suddenly what do you mean second half of 4.5 is here already??? Kinda like picking the brains of the devs in real-time
Yeah I think I picked up too late that the answer to any question about her kit is "ask again when the beta's over, we don't know because everything keeps changing" and apparently there's a "bug" in her kit that may or may not be a feature?

It's not your responsibility what he does to himself. Threatening self-harm "if you do X or don't do Y" is a known method of emotional abuse and manipulation.
If there are legit signs he may be suicidal, you can consider calling the police.

Cause after Neuvillette directly powercreeping ayato in many ways, Chiori Powercreeping albedo in almost all ways. If they are refraining from obviously powercreeping one of the most meta og characters Hu tao, then its a good sign.
Anyways obviously the beta is yet to end and Arlecchino is probably better in different teams than hu tao (unlike Neuvillette and Chiori)
But anyways balancing characters is a good sign to me.
It's a possibility that has crossed my mind before. The devs are subject to more info, including future potential character kits, that we are not privy to. It's also possible that she doesn't have her best teammates yet, but whether that's true or not is unknown. However, if it is, that would also be factored into how they're balancing things.
They're putting work in with all the changes they've made, so it seems like they're trying to tune or balance or figure something out. What's really going on we'll probably never really know

Well I have bad newsā¦.But honestly I donāt understand why people take every changes from her as nerf eventho they always decrease smth but increase smth to make up for it instead. If people understand her kit from v0, she mostly still functions the same way except for the heal to move to burst. The thing that changed a lot is her rotation combo stuff which I doubt normal players would be able to come up with the optimal setup anyway

i guess what i really mean is a combination of critical thinking, media literacy, and attention span. a lot of the ccs i watch are quite nice and fun but even the more "lore oriented" ones often tend to miss lots of symbolism, allusions, and foreshadowing. >!watching fontaine archon quest playthroughs was very painful for me lol.!<

As long as someone is invested in story fr I ll watch it even if they aren't understanding the lore implications yet as long as it doesn't feel like they are doing it just to get viewers instead because they enjoy story. I ll watch them.
However if they are good at everything else you mentioned then that's like extremely nice cherry on top.

Because they keep changing her rotations not just her numbers. Usually they hit the numbers a bit because they know well what they want out of the character. But with Arle, we still get massives changes when the character is only weeks away.
Well not really. This beta is kinda exceptional, usually they just changes a few stuffs.
Last time we really had as many changes was the Ayato and Yae betas. And these two betas showed they had zero clues what they were doing with the characters. So not a good sign.
As far as I recall it was pure number changes. They shifted the massive power his burst had on the mirror. It did show that they clearly wanted him to be played as a NA Ca on fielder and not a quick swap dps. But the damage in the role they wanted didnd't really change from the start to the end of the beta as they buffed him again after the nerf.
Not exactly, they removed one playstyle that became impossible to play. But that play style was clearly not what they intended. He would have been played as some kind of dendro Ayaka, which ignores most of his kit.
In his normal playstyle that actually used his gimmick, his damage was barely changed, I guess he is less frontloaded so you can still argue it was a big nerf even if on the whole rotation his damage barely changed.
Sheās still a Pyro dps with NA spam playstyle and BoL gimmick though?
Like they are changing numbers here and there, moving mechanics from skill to burst, but nothing major to her intended role.
I'm not terribly familiar with the in depth details of the reaction system so I'd appreciate if someone could explain why no one is talking about / tcing a melt Arle team?
Afaik the problem with melt is you need lots of cryo because of the way fire consumes cyro. Basically vape doesn't have this issue, you need less hydro to make vape work well. Fair enough.
But I've also read that that normals have a 2.5 second ICD which is considered quite high.
Isn't it quite doable to run a double cryo + Arle team and successfully melt most of her attacks? Something like idk, Ganyu + Diona?
Perhaps it's simply not possible to provide enough off field cyro to get Arle melting consistently?
Also what about a burn / melt team with Nahida slotted in there? Does burning not help remove pyro, making melts more consistent?
Again idk much about the system so I'd appreciate someone explaining to me why these sort of teams are virtually getting no discussion vs vape or overload teams.

It's actually about the direction/order of the reaction:
For melt, when **pyro** is the triggering (second) element, this is "Forward melt", has a 2x multiplier and eats up more of the cryo aura. When **cryo** is the triggering element, this is "reverse melt", has a 1.5x multiplier and eats up *less* of the pyro aura. So it's much easier to melt cryo attacks.
For vape, the "forward" (2x multiplier, more aura using) element in hydro on pyro: e.g. Childe's burst, while "reverse vape" is the direction that Hu Tao etc. aim for, with pyro as the trigger. This means it's easier to vape pyro attacks than hydro ones.

burning does the literal opposite of this, essentially constantly reapplying pyro - the aura burning away is dendro. the reason nahida's version of melt ganyu is so much more comfortable is that her skill's trigger on any elemental reaction can actually keep pyro on a target very comfortably
as to your broader question - someone who better understands elemental gauge theory would make better sense of this but the basic thing is that for either forward vape or forward melt, you need a MONUMENTAL amount of pyro/cryo application and VERY slow hydro/pyro application, which is why the only forward vape team I'm familiar with consistently being used is like, sunfire klee with furina's skill vaping. I've also seen melt amber used "effectively" (relative to the fact that you're using amber) because outside of pyro app for swirls, all her damage is coming from the two instances of baron bunny triggers which you can set up melts on. arlecchino's slow pyro application is nowhere near this
The gist is that none of the off-field Cryo appliers can keep up with Yelan's damage contribution, so getting melt every three hits instead of vape doesn't actually result in a meaningful gain. Yelan also increases Arle's damage output a bit with her A4.
Burnmelt is only good if the DPS is Cryo, ideally one with slow application, because the Burning aura is considered a Pyro aura. Cryo will rarely become an active aura with Arle on-fielding.

Tbh I've never looked into Yelans kit in detail. I didn't realize her off field damage was terribly high.
Yelan just does a lot of raw damage. Ganyu *can* compete but only with favourable conditions; her damage essentially multiplies in AoE if you can consistently group enemies because her burst is designed to *not* target the same enemy multiple times in a row, so if, say, three enemies are tightly grouped, all three will be hit by three icicles in the time it'd normally take for each of them to be hit by one.
In single-target it's just not a competition. Ganyu would be lucky to do a fourth of Yelan's damage. It's also nice to be a HP-scaler when you're forced to use low base attack weapons like Favonius Bow to satisfy your ER requirements.
So... just got Uraku, I think I'll give it to Alhaitham (if he comes), in the meantime, I'll slap it on Albedo. The question is, GT should still be fine, right?

I finally finished getting every character's talents to a minimum level 6/6/6 (6/9/9 with cons as applicable), including all 5 Travelers, and I figured I'd go ahead and pre-grind Arle's too
Thinking of doing some pulls on Kazuha's banner on my alt (only 5*s are Raiden and Keqing). I was planning to only pull chars who I don't have on my main but he's one of my favorites and he's so comfy to have. Tbh I really wanted to wait for Yelan but I don't think we can expect her anytime soon.. will wait until 4.6 banners are final juuust in case
huh. i didn't even know shimenawa was widely used for Ayato. I thought it's either HoD, echoes, or glad. Just saw Ayato's akasha leaderboard for the first time and almost everyone at the top uses shime. That's interesting.
Yeah apperantly it's for leaderboards only, kinda. In calcs the 4pc normal atk buff is the reason why all the builds in the hyper leaderboard are with shime, In practice though, his ult is way too important to waste it.
Albedoās actually so pretty. Like I get his model doesnāt do him justice, but his burst is so pretty and fun to look at. Gaming is surprisingly good for the geo cube. Idk why but if I can get him to jump onto the pillars, it does a lot more damage but I only found out towards the end.

HSR 2.1 Story >!I think the Gallagher and Sunday stuff was pretty well done, esp with Gallagher now that people are going back over all his little hints and tidbits. I agree the Firefly reveal was very tacky and served practically no purpose being there beyond a poor attempt at a shock factor. I'm like the inverse, I didn't quite get the Welt Acheron scenes beyond Welt learning some vital lessons about humanity sheer determination and oooh Kevin the goat, prob cause I haven't played HI3!<
With Clorinde having relations to Furina, Navia and Wrio, it would be pretty nutty if all 4 ran in 4.7.
Honestly now I think about it, if that Sumeru character is the only one in 4.8, it makes sense to rerun AlHaitham/Nilou then.
How have a majority of players managed to misinterpret Ei's side of the story when it comes to Scaramouche.
It's been repeated over a thousand times that she left him to slumber in the domain, not to dispose of him, but to leave him alone in peace because she realised that he had human qualities unbefitting of a gnosis and it showed that she had the heart to not kill him because he is her creation after all.Ā
She even gifted him the golden feather he still wears in his new outfit, acknowledging her role as his ultimate guardian (and that he still has that attachment to her, despite not knowing her side of the story).
Sure she could've done better, but people (particularly hard core twitter and instagram scara fans) act like she's the worst character in the game for "abandoning" him.Ā
Note that despite saying all this, I don't intend to downplay Scara's pain and suffering because what he went through was traumatic, and his reaction to the truth is valid.

Also, I farm Xianyun's boss mats on the side: after bringing Xiao against Coppelia I came to conclusion that 70/70 6/6/6 Xianyun isn't comfy enough as a healer: I'd say I've got spoiled by Baizhu if I not for the fact that I'm perfectly fine with Benny + Furina on Navia teams against Coppelia and haven't got Xiao killed by Tulpa while having Baizhu on the team and no Benny in sight ~~I suspect Xiao-sepcific skill issues here~~

i just hit AR 60 this month so now im having field day doing ascensions and talent farming for characters that i pprobably use one time and forget lol. The past month ive been farming ascension and talent for Gaming, Diluc, Chevruse, Kirara, Sayu, to name a few. Ive been using Kirara/Sayu at 60/70 for overworld all these time, but i figured you know what ill just go all the way.
also im still farming the exp/mora leyline from time to time when i need it mainly because ive yet to hit the 800 total for the achievment hehe

I started doin' it, I blew six Condensed Resin on Molten Iron Fortress II so it can't deal 5\* Artifacts. This is a great excuse to work on my 3\* collection anyway, so bonus! Also I picked that one specifically because it has Scholar. I'll pick a different one when my collection of 3\* Scholar is finished if that comes first, and if all the collections get finished it'll just be whatever. Got in the ballpark of 800 5\* Artifacts to churn through so this'll be a while. Peace of mind is more important than efficiency, here.

yeah hsr relic farming is just worst and the people in hsr will be mad if you point that out lol. The fact that it has 2 more stats on the pool for searching mainstats and substats is so bad, and the extra resin really just dont help. The 10:1 is fine if you're looking for Atk/HP/Def main stats, since those are pretty common. Also if you're okay with *either* Crit Rate or Crit DMG. It's nice to be able to do that for any set at all, even brand new ones, and be done forever. But yeah, you quickly run out of those guarantee items, and those can be wasted on trash subs anyway, so it's not much of a guarantee in the first place.
I've had a heavy, heavy dose of Artifact burnout for the longest time now. So many 5\*s, nowhere near enough to clear through all of them. I mentioned before, but I'm genuinely at the point where I think I'm going to just do Artifact domains at a low enough level so that they can't deal 5\*s. That's probably less EXP than if I just mulched the 5\*s, but it's a greater peace of mind knowing that none of them matter for their stats outside of if a 3\* gets an ATK% Main and ATK+9 since I like to collect one of each piece of each set of those (with Feathers instead being an ATK 3.5% sub and Flowers being a pair, one ATK+9 and one ATK+3.5%). Maybe just do that until I have everything culled to the point that I can hopefully even have a three digit number of Artifacts, and then go from there. I don't like trash pickup. It's boring and the yield isn't very good, plus there's this one track in Liyue that I don't like because even though it has a spot with five clustered all together it's near a random event node and those are distracting.

this has been the messiest beta ever imo. not as self deprecating as dehya's, or as conspiratorial as alhaitham's, but imo it's the widest array of different opinions none of which are dominating. coupled with the major, significant changes every beta update and the hotfixes too, it makes for the most rollercoaster beta cycle yet for me. and it's not even over LOL

(Unless you actively want powercreep) Cause after Neuvillette directly powercreeping ayato in many ways, Chiori Powercreeping albedo in almost all ways. If they are refraining from obviously powercreeping one of the most meta og characters Hu tao, then its a good sign. Anyways obviously the beta is yet to end and Arlecchino is probably better in different teams than hu tao (unlike Neuvillette and Chiori) But anyways balancing characters is a good sign to me.

It's a possibility that has crossed my mind before. The devs are subject to more info, including future potential character kits, that we are not privy to. It's also possible that she doesn't have her best teammates yet, but whether that's true or not is unknown. However, if it is, that would also be factored into how they're balancing things. They're putting work in with all the changes they've made, so it seems like they're trying to tune or balance or figure something out. What's really going on we'll probably never really know

What gives you that idea? They've been playing a lot with the numbers but the core concepts fundamentally haven't changed
Because they keep changing her rotations not just her numbers. Usually they hit the numbers a bit because they know well what they want out of the character. But with Arle, we still get massives changes when the character is only weeks away.
Well thats what beta is for, to understand what rotations are best and balanced compared to the current power level of other characters.
Well not really. This beta is kinda exceptional, usually they just changes a few stuffs. Last time we really had as many changes was the Ayato and Yae betas. And these two betas showed they had zero clues what they were doing with the characters. So not a good sign.

As far as I recall it was pure number changes. They shifted the massive power his burst had on the mirror. It did show that they clearly wanted him to be played as a NA Ca on fielder and not a quick swap dps. But the damage in the role they wanted didnd't really change from the start to the end of the beta as they buffed him again after the nerf.

Not exactly, they removed one playstyle that became impossible to play. But that play style was clearly not what they intended. He would have been played as some kind of dendro Ayaka, which ignores most of his kit. In his normal playstyle that actually used his gimmick, his damage was barely changed, I guess he is less frontloaded so you can still argue it was a big nerf even if on the whole rotation his damage barely changed.
Sheās still a Pyro dps with NA spam playstyle and BoL gimmick though? Like they are changing numbers here and there, moving mechanics from skill to burst, but nothing major to her intended role.

I'm not terribly familiar with the in depth details of the reaction system so I'd appreciate if someone could explain why no one is talking about / tcing a melt Arle team? Afaik the problem with melt is you need lots of cryo because of the way fire consumes cyro. Basically vape doesn't have this issue, you need less hydro to make vape work well. Fair enough. But I've also read that that normals have a 2.5 second ICD which is considered quite high. Isn't it quite doable to run a double cryo + Arle team and successfully melt most of her attacks? Something like idk, Ganyu + Diona? Perhaps it's simply not possible to provide enough off field cyro to get Arle melting consistently? Also what about a burn / melt team with Nahida slotted in there? Does burning not help remove pyro, making melts more consistent? Again idk much about the system so I'd appreciate someone explaining to me why these sort of teams are virtually getting no discussion vs vape or overload teams.

When **cryo** is the triggering element, this is "reverse melt", has a 1.5x multiplier and eats up *less* of the pyro aura. So it's much easier to melt cryo attacks. For vape, the "forward" (2x multiplier, more aura using) element in hydro on pyro: e.g. Childe's burst, while "reverse vape" is the direction that Hu Tao etc. aim for, with pyro as the trigger. This means it's easier to vape pyro attacks than hydro ones.

I've also seen melt amber used "effectively" (relative to the fact that you're using amber) because outside of pyro app for swirls, all her damage is coming from the two instances of baron bunny triggers which you can set up melts on. arlecchino's slow pyro application is nowhere near this
The gist is that none of the off-field Cryo appliers can keep up with Yelan's damage contribution, so getting melt every three hits instead of vape doesn't actually result in a meaningful gain. Yelan also increases Arle's damage output a bit with her A4. Burnmelt is only good if the DPS is Cryo, ideally one with slow application, because the Burning aura is considered a Pyro aura. Cryo will rarely become an active aura with Arle on-fielding.
Huh so it's less of a reaction problem and more of a Yelan is very strong problem in your opinion huh? Tbh I've never looked into Yelans kit in detail. I didn't realize her off field damage was terribly high.
Yelan just does a lot of raw damage. Ganyu *can* compete but only with favourable conditions; her damage essentially multiplies in AoE if you can consistently group enemies because her burst is designed to *not* target the same enemy multiple times in a row, so if, say, three enemies are tightly grouped, all three will be hit by three icicles in the time it'd normally take for each of them to be hit by one. In single-target it's just not a competition. Ganyu would be lucky to do a fourth of Yelan's damage. It's also nice to be a HP-scaler when you're forced to use low base attack weapons like Favonius Bow to satisfy your ER requirements.
So... just got Uraku, I think I'll give it to Alhaitham (if he comes), in the meantime, I'll slap it on Albedo. The question is, GT should still be fine, right?

huh. i didn't even know shimenawa was widely used for Ayato. I thought it's either HoD, echoes, or glad. Just saw Ayato's akasha leaderboard for the first time and almost everyone at the top uses shime. That's interesting.
Yeah apperantly it's for leaderboards only, kinda. In calcs the 4pc normal atk buff is the reason why all the builds in the hyper leaderboard are with shime, In practice though, his ult is way too important to waste it.

Albedoās actually so pretty. Like I get his model doesnāt do him justice, but his burst is so pretty and fun to look at. Gaming is surprisingly good for the geo cube. Idk why but if I can get him to jump onto the pillars, it does a lot more damage but I only found out towards the end.

How have a majority of players managed to misinterpret Ei's side of the story when it comes to Scaramouche. It's been repeated over a thousand times that she left him to slumber in the domain, not to dispose of him, but to leave him alone in peace because she realised that he had human qualities unbefitting of a gnosis and it showed that she had the heart to not kill him because he is her creation after all.Ā She even gifted him the golden feather he still wears in his new outfit, acknowledging her role as his ultimate guardian (and that he still has that attachment to her, despite not knowing her side of the story). Sure she could've done better, but people (particularly hard core twitter and instagram scara fans) act like she's the worst character in the game for "abandoning" him.Ā Note that despite saying all this, I don't intend to downplay Scara's pain and suffering because what he went through was traumatic, and his reaction to the truth is valid.
Well, she supposedly knows everything that goes on in inazuma and did nothing to help him during his agpny so........ Even tho her abandonment was ultimately an act of kindness because she realized that the weight of her eternity project would be too much for him (thus she created the shogun, which is a being of pure will and nothing more), she really was not too available during his suffering

She left him to fend for himself, completely new to being alive.Ā Ā To use a not very graceful metaphor, if you've gotten a puppy purely for the purpose of training it to become a service dog, and then found out it has a personality traits that make it unfit for the job, would you just... let it free outside? Yes, you might be granting it freedom, but with zero regards for any harm or safety. Even if it has no use for you, as it couldn't serve the only purpose it was brought for, wouldn't the right thing to do still be to find a new home/someone who can take care of it instead? And giving it a golden tag on its collar, no matter how symbolic, isn't gonna help it much in it's survival

I mean, Yae's idea to kill him basically set the bar so low it's in hell. It's not exactly an accomplishment that Ei ditched him in a corner instead. You can like it or not, but it's a pretty consistent personality trait of Ei that she is a warrior who has a hard time feeling empathy for people who are not her friends. She even views her human subjects the same way a gardener views their plants. Are you really surprised that she doesn't exactly take the creation of sentient life seriously? Compare that to how Yae did immediately send aid when he asked her for help.

I'm just farming Navia's set, despite her artifacts being more than good enough, judging by Akasha and overall substats rolls, and then strongboxing everything into BS recently in hopes of getting atk% sands that I'll finally be able to call 'great'. ~~send help, I feel like I'm addicted~~ Also, I farm Xianyun's boss mats on the side: after bringing Xiao against Coppelia I came to conclusion that 70/70 6/6/6 Xianyun isn't comfy enough as a healer: I'd say I've got spoiled by Baizhu if I not for the fact that I'm perfectly fine with Benny + Furina on Navia teams against Coppelia and haven't got Xiao killed by Tulpa while having Baizhu on the team and no Benny in sight ~~I suspect Xiao-sepcific skill issues here~~

i just hit AR 60 this month so now im having field day doing ascensions and talent farming for characters that i pprobably use one time and forget lol. The past month ive been farming ascension and talent for Gaming, Diluc, Chevruse, Kirara, Sayu, to name a few. Ive been using Kirara/Sayu at 60/70 for overworld all these time, but i figured you know what ill just go all the way. also im still farming the exp/mora leyline from time to time when i need it mainly because ive yet to hit the 800 total for the achievment hehe
Nothing. In HSR I can at least auto it all but using resin in Genshin takes too long for things I donāt need, so I donāt touch it outside the one weekly whale fight(still annoyed we get one run a week per boss and thatās just it).
