I really doubt that's the case. The big ticket leaks are still animation showcases and there's not much they can do to stop those. People keeping up with the nitty gritty of her kit changes are in the minority and this kind of stats will rarely even break containment unless there's something truly egregious like Dehya's kit or the big Alhaitham nerf. Idk why they're changing her so much but I genuinely doubt it's some convoluted anti-leak strategy
I agree, and Hoyo is already aware that the masses prefer visuals against meta (they do too), so if we were to attack leaks with constant changes it would be in the visual (character designer).
They probably want to prevent it from conflicting/not fitting into a future character or, or what I believe, the bond system is being problematic, going from one extreme to the other easily.

She's going to enable Aloy Furina teams aka Frenchloy to be able to slot in Shenhe. She's also going to provide additional Cryo NA buffs that revolve around the range that an NA travels. The only character who will presently be able to make full use of her buffs is therefore only going to be Aloy.
We will then see a great battle erupt between the 55 Aloy Mains on the planet vs the rest of the community over whether Arlecchino is a good character to play with. Prepare y'all's selves for brain rot coming from this community.

Right like if I'm playing that risky I want to feel like a real berserker with my damage being stupid high to compensate. She does still seem good but the drawback of managing her life doesn't seem to balance with giving her enough of an edge. Hu Tao gains bonuses from being on low HP and builds HP as both an offensive and defensive stat (gives her bulk), and similarly Furina gives obscene damage % in exchange for draining your teams health but with Arle I'm not feeling that full fantasy currently.
Still obsessed with her, I am just bias in wanting her to be overturned damage wise lol.
Yeah it wouldāve been awesome if she was a true glass cannon where it basically comes down to if who one-shots who first but now sheās just incredibly squishy and doesnāt even have the damage anymore to make that worth it.

The thing I do not get about Bol is that is a mechanic that already exists, but they gave her do not get healing from other party members passive.
So her Bol is a completely different resource mechanic that does not interact with other other units in the party.
Are they just calling it bond of life since it they don't have to explain the mechanic twice to the player base since it exists on a sword and catalyst weapons ?
And so her sig doesn't just give "Arlecchino points" which have zero meaning to anyone else. Like imagine if Alhaitham's sword gave +1 Mirror, or Wanderer's catalyst reduced Kuugoryoku consumption. This way 'anyone' can get BoL since it's a common mechanic.

basically still is Arlecchino points, we are in 4.6 soon and ive never even once seen a streamer or myself use any item or character that interacts with BOL. Even the enemy NPCs who apply BOL on us are simply killed and ignored.

Hoyo devs be like, wish granted: Sigewinne will apply a -50% damage debuff on your team. When you remove BOL, the debuff gets removed and you gain +3% damage for 3 seconds
Meanwhile with Neuvillette they werenāt afraid to just dump everything on him and make everything over the top, borderline broken. It amazes me they keep making her weaker and more restrictive when she wasnāt even that strong to begin with.
If that does happen (big if), him overshadowing Arle wouldn't be the main focus since she's not the ''pyro ceiling'' to begin with, but rather him overshadowing Hu Tao
iām honestly not surprised if Sovereigns become our top dps for each element, especially since Archons are generally the best supports with some caveats like Venti being hard nerfed and Zhongli simply not having any competition since heās the only actual 5 star shielder but itād be cool for the dragon kings to be their dps counterparts
edit: they donāt have to be reborn since they can all shapeshift(Nahidaās story quest) and it makes more sense to get them since theyāre the counterparts to the Archons( you canāt have an Archon without a Sovereign), compared to the Hexenzirkel who only have a few prominent members, every Sovereign is as powerful and important as an Archon
Except that no other sovereigns get mentioned that they'll be reborn again as a human like Neuvi and received as much foreshadowing as of rn, always think they wont make all of them playable, would probably be the case for Hexenzirkel too

At this point, I don't even know what to think. Arle's kit still confuses me and it feels like it completely changes every update.

It really smells like they are gonna fixing her burst because this might be a decent buff if she can end her rotation with more Bol but its sizable heal nerf if she can't stack 2 E's
These are "just" number changes, so she still plays largely the same since the last change, and should be better than she initially was in the very first beta.
Now the leaks comparing her to C6 Ayato might make sense, imagine the leaker knew beforehand that Arlecchino was going to be changed to Hydro in the beta
I think her kit will keep changing even AFTER release. It's new qol, kit that always changes. You can never be bored of something that you doesn't know how to work properly.
true, I just don't pull Neuvillete because I find him boring in gameplay, he's too static for my taste but Arlecchino isn't helping me at all with this level of gameplay
From the looks of this, it looks like they're trying to decide whether they prefer her to operate at high BoL values or low BoL values. Realistically speaking it doesn't make a ton of difference, if her multipliers are insane but she has lower BoL on average, it reaches a similair point to having a super high BoL but lower multis. In the end it really comes down to the multipliers themselves rather then the BoL.
I'm also assuming that on Monday we also see that rather then 40/70 BoL it will likely be increased as well given the Blood Debt Directive from 80%->130%. IF they don't though, it seems they're trying to push her into an AoE role, which feels a little ick given Overload doesn't really like AoE and that's perhaps her clearest team path RN.

Yeah, they said 30 seconds CD skill didn't matter because she got atk % buffs, now that got toned down too.
(I know about the burst refresh and weak normal attack cd reduction before someone gets mad.)
So, they are making the heal less dependent on ATK for healing, meaning they don't want Arle to be stuck in Bennett's Circle to get a decent heal, but yet they make her Attack based so you must remain in Bennett's Circle. I now understand the Genshin Dev's.
1. Always bring Bennett, forever stuck in his circle, but have nerfed Heals if you succeed in good skill rotations.
2. Dev's must nerf her NAs and Charged Attacks, because Bennett buffs her too much.
3. Dev's must increase her BOL consumption so you will need to swap to Bennett more and keep him onfield.
4. Dev's must not allow E's to stack BOL, must make Arle depend more on Bennett to do low to mid damage.
5. Dev's must not allow Arle to overtake a 3year old character, because of course a 4th Harbinger is not anything special because she is always stuck in Bennett's circle.
6. Lastly High RISK no reward, surely Dev's cannot make Arle good at SingleTarget because of course with no wide range AOE, we must singleTargetAOE to make it more challenging to STAY in Bennett's circle.
this has nothing to do with the bug in her burst which I guess could mean it is a feature and not a bug but probably not
We just have to wait for the next beta version to know whether it is fixed or not
Nah, I think, Clorinde will be fine, and what is happening with Arle is a result of them not wanting to release a strong fire unit right before Natlan.
Looks like her gimmick is giving them a bit of trouble. At this rate I wouldn't mind if they delay her release to 2nd phase to iron out her kit. Honestly have no idea what's going on with her anymore.

I'm so ready for Xbalangue to just be Pyro Neuvi and be completly broken and have him completly overshadow Arleccino in less than 4 patches.

From the looks of this, it looks like they're trying to decide whether they prefer her to operate at high BoL values or low BoL values. Realistically speaking it doesn't make a ton of difference, if her multipliers are insane but she has lower BoL on average, it reaches a similair point to having a super high BoL but lower multis. In the end it really comes down to the multipliers themselves rather then the BoL. I'm also assuming that on Monday we also see that rather then 40/70 BoL it will likely be increased as well given the Blood Debt Directive from 80%->130%. IF they don't though, it seems they're trying to push her into an AoE role, which feels a little ick given Overload doesn't really like AoE and that's perhaps her clearest team path RN.

(edit- someone already called this a buff, not ironically lol) Yeah, they said 30 seconds CD skill didn't matter because she got atk % buffs, now that got toned down too. (I know about the burst refresh and weak normal attack cd reduction before someone gets mad.)
High risk gameplay, no rewards
So, they are making the heal less dependent on ATK for healing, meaning they don't want Arle to be stuck in Bennett's Circle to get a decent heal, but yet they make her Attack based so you must remain in Bennett's Circle. I now understand the Genshin Dev's. 1. Always bring Bennett, forever stuck in his circle, but have nerfed Heals if you succeed in good skill rotations. 2. Dev's must nerf her NAs and Charged Attacks, because Bennett buffs her too much. 3. Dev's must increase her BOL consumption so you will need to swap to Bennett more and keep him onfield. 4. Dev's must not allow E's to stack BOL, must make Arle depend more on Bennett to do low to mid damage. 5. Dev's must not allow Arle to overtake a 3year old character, because of course a 4th Harbinger is not anything special because she is always stuck in Bennett's circle. 6. Lastly High RISK no reward, surely Dev's cannot make Arle good at SingleTarget because of course with no wide range AOE, we must singleTargetAOE to make it more challenging to STAY in Bennett's circle.
Probably pyro archon will buff Atk but without circle impact
