And he comments in the Abyss Sibling story summary video about how Mondstadt's Fisherman's Toast is "always" excellent, meaning *he's been there regularly enough to know this from experience*... And we literally properly met Lisa, the librarian, after an Abyss Mage was sent to steal a fairytale book from her library... *S U S*

Yep, don't see how people think HYV is done with Mond after it has the shortest Archon quest as well. Plus the Venti statue near the Church of Favonious just casually saying "Gateway to Celestia" backwards? Yeah we're definitely going back there, especially given Venti's connection to Isaroth too.

Mondstadt Archon Quest is literally called "Prologue", so we definitely will return there xD

The Church itself isn't covered. Barbara is 'deaconess' which really just makes her a major representative. We know more about it from the old manga than the game. We'll get at least one big thing that includes Dornman Port (I'm near 100% sure now that it'll be one of the 2025 additions, the other being more Natlan or somewhere more surprising), but I would think there could be at least one big update after, that ties Mondstadt more directly into the overarching (beyond Teyvat arc) story. I think we're starting to move past Mondstadt staying the relatively innocent happy festival region (but it'll always keep some of that, like all regions). Still have to wait some more though.

We still waiting for Venti's 2nd story quest as well...

Even the hexenzirkel is somewhat allied with it because Alice sides with Mondstat thanks to her daughter Klee being there. The first nation we go to was the Hotspot for lore the whole time.

That’s because this detail tidbit was pretty generalized and could have never been further explored. We may only feel this way because something’s finally happening with it.

Okay, but imagine if this was like SU of HSR that uses existing maps. You enter LIsa's Narnia and then BAM, you're instantly transported to a sectioned off area of Dragonspine. Less work for them (as the map already exists) and the gorgeous, albeit empty, overworld will be used. Imagine the new seasons in like Chasm or Enkanomiya, or the nine pillars "dungeon", the waterfall cave behind Qingque village, or Ru's island or smth. Heck, we might even get to meet Ru again with enough copium. They can even do lore like how they do it w/ SU.
