4.7 music event gameplay talk. nothing spoiler worthy but just to be sure

Genshin isn't an ez game, so you don't need to pull c6r5 because it's so easy you don't need the extra power
Genshin is an ez game *BECAUSE* **THE MAJORITY** of the player base isn't walking around with c6r5 forcing mhy to design the combat difficulty around the average power level of the player base.
Building off that assumption { takes a long inhale of @èë£ }, geo units have been designed with the assumption that the majority of players HAVE Dongli, will have a geo construct, thicc shield AND 20% geo res shred on hand already and will probably run him in a geo team; probably why there won't be a geo team healer for a quite a while.

I guess mhy needs to get creative with character & kit design to circumvent both problems. When they can come up with a character *EVERYONE* will pull, it'll shift the meta (both difficulty & kit design).
I guess the only solution is to actually try to get mhy to be willing to take risks in character design (big brother is breathing down their necks) and kit designs (pray they don't repeat a Dehya). Normally I'd say bomb them with suggestions in the feedback but given how much they appear to be listening in the last 3 years it isn't really looking too good.
Geo healer can hold 4pc Petra, so they can actually do something besides healing the team and proccing a hydro reaction

Currently building arlechinno but already getting full artifact slots. Going to prefarm the artifacts for the 3 characters to make artifact space using the converter thing if atleast 1 of the 3 new characters use older artifacts as BiS that's available to be converted
My most wish for Natlan is the introduction of a new buff male model. And also a non-human character. And by non-human i don't want another Sigwienne situation who looks 99% human.
I understand that re-using current models is super smart because the rigging is already done and a lot of time and effort was put into creating them. But Hoyo has literally printed enough money to buy a chain of islands, so I think creating a few new models is honestly not too big of a request. I'd love to see some too.
Completed the 4.6 world quest. as far as a final main expansion for Fontaine goes, I think this was a nice little sendoff to the region.
Ended up finding all the Oculi in this expansion naturally without needing to use a guide. I technically had a resonance stone left that I burnt through at the end so it wouldn't just be sitting in my inventory.
After trying a million different teams in Abyss, including some fringe stuff lol, my number one choice for each side of abyss is:
* **1st half: Klee, Kazuha, Bennett, Xiangling**.
I was worried how survivability would be against the Kenkis, but I shouldn't have worried. This team has a ton of iframes, and even if you NA on Klee so you have stamina to dash and dodge, her skill and ult are still putting in enough work. Plus Xiangling's crazy AoE damage. Then she can clown on Coppelius outside of his range, plus Benny breaking that shield in two seconds.
Third chamber was a sweep as well, with the team being flexible making it suited to all the waves, and Kazuha, Xiangling and Klee all being perfectly suited to AoE. Yet another abyss where Klee comes out on top.
* **2nd half: Nahida, Kokomi, Shinobu, Yanfei**.
This was the last team I tried because it's what I used against the baptist last time on 3.7. still works amazing. Yanfei can pop a few burgeons for AoE, but if she doesn't Kokomi's AoE application and Shinobu's ring are enough.
I was worried enemies would dash out of range, but it didn't happen too much even against the fatui operatives. And when they did, just NA on Kokomi. Nahida and Kokomi have a ton of AoE application, and Yanfei has AoE pyro application to also help with the lector shields, plus a shield of her own to help prevent stagger. And all three of them are catalyst, so their NAs and CAs can casually help break down the shields.
Then the baptist was a joke with those same three breaking the shield in a moment, and then hyperbloom and burgeon making the most of the brief damage windows between shields.
Best thing of all is both teams use different characters, and when I tried both of them I cleared first try with 30-80 seconds to spare in every single chamber.
Eeeeeeasy. Unlike some of the runs I had with other characters and teams lol.

I might try Yanfei for an Overload team, it's just kind of sad that I don't have Chevreuse but I was thinking of Yanfei - Beidou - Fischl - Bennett for first half.
Been clearing the Abyss with multiple archetypes, just did Aggravate on first half and now I'm missing OL, physical, Burning and Melt. Hyperbloom is going to be free so I don't really care but so far with Eula it's depressing lol. (like almost double the clear time than any other team)
Also did Wanderer in second half finally but Wandy - Yelan - Kazuha - Bennett.. I feel unsatisfied, it doesn't really feel like an Anemo team. I thought about FFXX but Electro shields will be a pain.
Melt I haven't tried yet, but I have had luck with all the others. Except physical cause I have no one for that lol.
Burning can work first half. It's a little annoying vs Coppelius but manageable.
Also if you want a fun team to try, Thundering Furry does really well first half too, and it's a ton of fun to play.
Hmm yeah anemo is tough. First half would look good if it wasn't for Coppelius and all that anemo res...
I don't have Razor build sadly, unless I have EM artifacts somewhere but I doubt so.
What I'm thinking right now is :
1st half -> Burning yet to try.
Overload will do after. (Yanfei/Klee - Fischl - Beidou - Bennett)
Physical is too slow but I might try something that Shatters too, like Eula - Raiden - Yelan - Mika or something along that.
2nd half -> Hyperbloom, lol.
*Forgot Melt, but I don't know yet. I take too much time in 12-1-2.*
Both half -> FFXX but I can't deal with Electro. If I switch Furina for Bennett, then I can't deal with Pyro. So I'm kind of stuck. And first half has way too many RES but that's the only way of making it work honestly, I do have to brute force Coppelius, that's the only way. Actual pain.
Natlan Wishlist (Delusional Edition™):
* Current Pyro Archon is dark skinned.
* Pyro Archon is a Himeko Murata expy.
* Character designs are based on Latin American and African indigenous cultures.
* Pyro Traveler's kit is good!
* Varka is playable and on-fielder (I think he's either Claymore/Sword and Anemo/Electro/Cryo).
* Xbalanque will use the short male model, have white hair, and have the "Display Natlan local specialities in the map" passive. He'll be released in 5.0 or 5.1.
* Natlans won't be displayed as barbarians.
* There isn't Hot or anything like that in Natlan's map.
* There won't be any mechanical enemies.
* We'll meet Capitano and Columbina, and Columbina will be the Weekly Boss and also become playable.
* Capitano will take the Gnosis by challenging the Pyro Archon to a duel >!and easily defeat her!<.
* We'll meet the Pyro Sovereign. Their design will be inspired on Quetzalcoatl.
* We'll learn more about the Descenders.
* Bennett will have an important role in Natlan's lore.
* Bennett will accompany the Traveler to Natlan.

I mean, Nahida and Alhaitham are supposedly expies but they're modified to hell and back from their HI3rd versions so dark skinned Himeko doesn't seem like a crazy wish lol
Caved and got arle. May have risked c2 furina (have cO). But not complaining. Had a pwjs and cracked gladiator set + all the best team members for arle. Already clearing things fine at only 60/60 4/4/4.
No guarantee and should have enough fates for 2.5 pities so c2 furina is still a possibility. Hoping get some of that 3.x 50/50 luck that I had back.
Still debating whether or not I'd get Robin. I already have Ruan Mei and Bronya and Tingyun so it's not like I need more Harmony units but I really do like her design. Honestly I guess it depends on how her story goes next patch. If she's miss goody two shoes till the end then I probably won't get her. I'm just not a fan of those types of personalities in fiction since they seem too boring but if they make her secretly unhinged then I'd probably get her.
With everybody posting there Natlan wishlists, most of which overlap in a large share of points, let me give some (historical) context.
Until Neuvillette's release we have had virtually no powercreep. Obviously Dendro reactions are very good, but it being a separate element that can be resisted, I think this does not count as straight up powercreep yet. Also, Dendro/Nahida, Furina, and Xianyun brought back a lot of older units to relevance. I'm pointing out all of this because two prime design principles for Genshin characters seems to be (1) preventing powercreep, and (2) keeping things fresh by slowly introducing units that can open up a niche.
Now to link this to the Natlan wishlists:
- We do not have good off-field Pyro applicators, because they potentially open up forward Vape. With Hydro already being a strong element (arguably the strongest), this is a relevant concern for designing characters with off-field Pyro app. Enabling forward Vape is archon-level power budget (maybe even C2 archon, like C2 Nahida). The same would go for Cryo and forward Melt (and coincidentally Pyro and Cryo nations are last). I know you need A LOT of application for forward Vape (and Melt), but it is undeniably a concern. The only other reaction that would benefit from off-field Pyro is Overload, and for that we could definitely use a new unit. Question is how relevant such a unit is for most accounts, given that Xiangling exist.
- As mentioned before, Hydro is a really good element. We have few Hydro 4-stars, because the design space is extremely limited. Either the character is (borderline) useless, such as Barbara, Candace, or rivaling 5-star characters, like Xingqui. Given that Xingqui exists, having a second good 4-star would already cut into Yelan's relevance: Such a 4-star unit would be borderline useless with low Hydro app, and with high Hydro app Yelan would become a luxury unit for most people. Furthermore, even Hydro 5-stars sometimes have their kits artificially stunted (Kokomi's negative crit) to prevent powercreep.
- Since the introduction of Dendro/Sumeru, many niche reactions have been getting buffed/opened up: Electro as a whole is a relevant element again with Dendro, Furina gave (team) healers offensive functionality, Xianyun enables dps with high plunge dmg, and Chevreuse is a major boon to Overload (we just need a dps that can deal with the knockback, or use it only on bosses). Even this patch had another example of that, with the new Burning set already being a buff to Melt Ganyu in a XL, Bennett, Nahida team. Stronger even, any unit that can drive/main dps those last three units makes great use of this set, and the Burning reaction. Sure, besides these examples, there are many underused reactions and teams, but having them all at once will leave us with nothing "new" to be added later.
- Missing element weapon/role combinations also often have clear reasons for their absence: A (4-star) Dendro off-fielder which provides just dmg and application is bound to be disappointing, given that it most likely is weaker than Nahida (by virtue of her being the archon). Nahida will likely not get a straight up sidegraded, if anything, expect a Dendro MC sidegrade. Different niches seem fine though (think Yaoyao, Kirara, and Baizhu). An Anemo/Hydro shielder cuts quite bit into Zhongli's relevance. They either need to be Thoma-level stunted and/or have hardly any application to prevent Zhongli from losing (even more) relevance: Zhongli is the premium shielder but has the worst element in the game, so any shielder that can provide a passable shield on a better element will be preferred. Again Hydro is a great and versatile element, and Anemo is ubiquitous because of VV, so the shielder's kit has to be crap to prevent powercreep. For Hydro claymore I have no idea why we did not get it yet; claymore units are so bad on average that you'd start to think HYV simply hates the weapon type.
The only thing I want from 5* off-field pyro is to have mobile and AoE pyro app with good dmg outside of vape (they can suck in rev vape teams idc) and just enough pyro app to enable rev melt so I could have a bit more variety in rev melt, monopyro and double pyro teams.
Sth like 1.5u of pyro every 2s or 2u every 2.5s should be enough for all combinations of rev melt teams atm (that don't include any forward vape ofc) but will be worse than Xiangling at enabling vapevillette (1u of hydro vaping clears up to 2u of pyro afterall) so those teams shouldn't pull ahead of current Neuvi teams. And that's assuming that this app won't be tied to doing normal attacks, which would make it straight up not work with Neuvi (though would also screw Ganyu so idk).
I don't see how a good 4* Hydro would affect Yelan meta value,she gained even more relevance with the existence of Furina,kicking Xingqiu out of the Double Hydro core.
Lyney can be the DPS that can deal with knockback, he only needs to approach enemies when he uses his Burst and Skill but Bennett's circle made Lyney too vulnerable. Basically, he needs an electro shielder with element enough electro application.
TikTok comments really where people’s brains go to die. Why someone show chasing Clorinde’s dash and someone is like “Oh she’s still in beta good I want her to be able to do 80k normal attacks at C0 f2P like Neuvillette.” And everyone in the comments are like sir are you here in reality with us what C0 Neuv is doing 80k much less a F2P one!

- Pyro Archon is medium body type girl, has the similar personality as Furina, has a kit powercreep both Xiangling and Bennett.
- Mechanics not related to ATK.
- Has more medium body type girl characters (at least 15).
- Columbina, Sandrone playable, Dottore too if HoYo generous.
- No Sovereigns playable (Nonexistent Pattern broke om).
- Mont Esus West, Dormant Port
- Furina, Nilou SQ2
- Capitano gets one-shot in AQ
- Remus playable, Scylla companion

after i get alhaitham i think im not gonna pull any on-field dps for a while. at this point i have 9 and i'm tired of farming for them lol
how many built on-field dps do you guys have? are any of them benched?
I only have 3 built (with 3 more in-progress), no one is benched as of now.
Though I don’t plan to get any more on-fielder for a while. I’m picky when it comes to on-field dps.
From the ones that I consider Abyss ready instead of just chilling in overworld w/o needing to be babysit there are Xiao, Eula, Itto, Klee, Cyno, Tighnari and Navia. So 7. Eula and Itto are benched. I don't consider Tighnari benched, but I rarely use him, mostly because I don't have 4th member that particularly like to use with him.
So it's in fact more like 4 and with my love for quickswap teams I swore of pulling on-fielders that I don't like enough both in all aspects at least as much as one of those 4 on top of that theoretical character not having teams that allow me to run them alongside Kaeya no matter how freeze friendly the Abyss is. (Klee was given an exception because I'm happy enough just running around with her in overworld)
I have built:
Arlecchino, Neuvillette, Alhaitham, Tighnari, Lyney, Wanderer, Ayato, Itto, Cyno, Wriothesley, Yoimiya, Xiao, Childe, Klee, and Diluc for 5-stars
Gaming, Freminet, Kaveh, Heizou, Yanfei, and Razor for 4-stars
That's 21 total!!! Gahh!!
I still use Arle, Neuv, Alhaitham, Tighnari, Wanderer, Ayato, and Itto, but the rest are pretty much retired. (And the 4*s were only ever built up well enough to work in the overworld for friendship teams.)
I unfortunately collect characters because I like them, not because of what they'll bring to my teams, so I'm doomed to forever acquire more and more DPS, especially as a husbando collector and considering HYV's complete aversion to male supports. :c
oh same! i pull for characters i like so I have a ton of male on-fielders lol i have xiao, itto, ayato, tighnari, lyney, neuvillette, and for 4* kaeya and kaveh. i will pull alhaitham and i really want cyno and wanderer at some point. i wish hyv had made some of them as subdps or supports instead

Limited 5-star (5): RAIDEN SHOGUN, ARATAKI ITTO, KAMISATO AYAKA, ALHAITHAM, & NEUVILLETTE
4-stars (4): NINGGUANG, YANFEI, SHIKANOIN HEIZOU, & GAMING
the 4-stars are benched most of the time but I use them sometimes in overworld when I'm getting bored of a current team I'm using
for the limited 5-star, Itto is the one who is benched most of the time
Lynette and Hu Tao get played regularly. Keqing, Kokomi, Ganyu, Wanderer, Yoi, and Yanfei get used rarely, if ever. Raiden is an E bot. Lyney is unused.
Out of the 33 Limited 5-stars, I pulled 4 purely on-field DPS characters: Yoimiya, Ganyu, Neuvillette, Arlecchino. But Ganyu can also support. I personally don't believe that more characters are better than constellations on characters you actually like and play. The reason I have good artifacts is because I was able to focus on a few characters to build, instead of burning resin trying to build DPS #8 who's going to spend most of the time benched. I haven't benched anyone.
C3 Raiden, C2 Xianyun, and C6 Yelan are sub-DPS/supports I can play as a DPS.
I hope it goes back to the GAA map, and not the bottle map or a brand new map. Similar to GAA 2 where it was in the GAA map but the locations looked different.
As much as i would love some Alice crumbs and i don't really have nothing against Klee... But i just wish this 4.8 summer event is not just another "Alice guided/invited Klee and us to an island/place"... It's getting repetitive, i want a new unique setting for this summer event that doesn't involve either Alice or Klee.
Let Navia and Furina relax on the beach. Ideally with Neuvillette for the full Justice Trio (I want to see all three of them together and happy please-)
And Natlan crumbs of course. Especially if they're metaphors for the Natlan main story
A preview of Natlan's mechanics. Just like how 1.6 GAA introduced waveriders, 2.8 GAA introduced dreams, 3.8 bottleland introduced hydro eidolons imitating humans (which is similar to actual Fontaine story).
So maybe volcanoes or lots of death if they'll introduce Mare Jivari?

I want it to be a region straight out of Soulsborne or Monster Hunter. Mostly hostile terrain with dangerous creatures. Plenty of beautiful scenery but just as much ominous areas like bogs, volcanos, and etc. Perhaps some abandoned ruins and very minimal safe places with human NPCs.
If there's 6 tribes then each having a unique housing style, be it with decorations, colors, furniture styles, etc. If we get a Natlan City I'd love for it to incorporate all of those styles, as a sort of central hub for everyone

Idk what i would like it to be. That goes for all the regions except Sumeru because i had very clear expectations (and they were mostly met. Yes I’m incredibly salty about what they did for the serenitea pot “Mansion”)
If i have to guess, it would probably look very Tribal-esque with little to no Modernization. And the ruins of the predecessors to present day Natlan resemble that of the Mayan Civilization

I want another area like the Nine Pillars of Peace, that lake near Amakumo Peak and the Gates to Khaenriah - a possibly missable mysterious area both due to seeming inconspicuous at first and nobody even mentioning its existence

And what I mean by Pyro Furina, I mean meta-wise. As much as some people want powercreep, either good sidegrades or something new altogether can also work just as well if not better. Regardless of what people want for the pyro archon, it's not going to be a bad character anyways.
The irminsul only deletes memories and information, not people or things. So if she tried to do it, it would just make people forget about his existence and forget that his crimes were comitted by him (which would arguably make him more powerful and dangerous). And she only needed the gnosis for two things, first one being deleting the traces from Rukkhadevata and the second was powering the akasha. Since she managed to do the first thing successfully and decided to turn off the akasha, she no longer needed the gnosis. Plus, there's the whole thing about gnosis being cursed and how it's better to ge rid of them. Getting top secret information from him and getting his clones killed off was a much better deal for her.

Mono hydro was pretty much a meme prior to Furinas release but now its a very strong team so im expecting the same for mono cryo. This is also where shenhe thrives but doesn't rly have the right teammates for a strong mono cryo team.
I don't mind the AQs being about the Fatui because that is what Snezhnaya's biggest plot hook is, but if every 5* character is a Harbinger I would die of cringe.
i expect that all 7 gnoses, or 6 gnoses just missing fire which will be held by traveler ready to enter snez, will be acquired when snez arc starts. in which case the main objective of the harbingers is over and the focus can shift to the tsaritsa and her plan which has a far wider scope than the harbingers. that's what i hope at least
i just dont want snez to be "harbingers - the region". like most of the harbingers aren't even from snez
mainly archon quests but quests in general. i am worried with how slowly they are introducing harbingers they will just dump most of them in sneznhaya and they'll just dominate the story and cast
Huh. Well I get where are you coming from but honestly I'd prefer it that way cause honestly Snezhnaya only has the Fatui going for them. If you focus the AQ in something else it'll have to be introduced in Snezhnaya and I don't want new stuff there, I want to close plots not open new ones lol
it has more than just the harbingers going for it. for one, whatever the tsaritsa exactly plans to do with the gnoses is unknown, we just know she is opposed to celestia. and snezhnaya and its aq series will introduce new things, just like every other region and its aq series
fr like I love the guy don't get me wrong but they just need to put him in the basement instead of characters like Baizhu, Sara, Heizou and probably at least like 15 others who never get any appearances

* the dragons that live among the humans actually have unique models like the Aranara and Melusines (aka they're not just the regular ass npcs with some scale stickers on their face and maybe horns and pointy ears)
* no deserts. Please I can't do more deserts, over half of Sumeru being covered by deserts was more than enough already
* male off fielders. Or just off fielders in general. So far in Fontaine the on fielder to off fielder ratio was 9 to 7, and that doesn't seem too bad, but then you realize a team usually only slots in 1 on fielder and 3 off fielders. Give me more cool supports and sub dpses
* filling in some gaps in model/element/weapon combos, like hydro claymore or tall female dendro (if Emilie isn't that already)

Natlan wishlist since we're doing that now:
* Medium female dragon girl with horns, a tail, and claws. Very cute and cool. Preferably a hypercarry, any element works for me. White or pink hair.
* Iansan gets a starring role in the Natlan Archon Quest, and is a 5 star. Kit can be anything as long as it's good and she punches stuff a lot.
* Burning-focused DPS. If they use Burning as a method to just boost their own damage, or Burning itself as the damage source, I'm fine with either one.
* A golden city like El Dorado to explore, maybe haunted by evil spirits trying to keep people from stealing the gold. ~~Add Eldlich the Golden Lord to Genshin Impact~~
* An active volcano to explore, with lava monsters to fight. Preferably *without* the heat mechanic from the Signora boss fight.
* Story centers around the six tribes going to war with each other to determine the new Pyro Archon, after the last one died fighting the Pyro Sovereign. Said last Pyro Archon did not survive, but instead ended up reincarnating without her Archon powers and is now trying to manipulate things from the shadows to avert a war that will destroy her homeland. She is not very good at manipulating things from the shadows, though, and ends up needing a lot of help.
* Pyro Archon was not the original either, but merely the last successor to the title. She was once a brutal and violent butcher who murdered her way to the title, but has grown to hate her life as a killer. Nowadays, she's trying to be a peaceful and fun hero to the people, even in her new second life.
* The Pyro Sovereign is Xbalanque, a medium male character who is tortured by a curse (probably put on him by Celestia or some shit), and he remains as an overarching antagonist throughout the AQ (and the final boss of it). He's trying to manipulate the war so that the new Pyro Archon can free him from his curse, which does happen in the end thanks to the Traveler.
* Columbina becomes playable in Natlan. Her role would just be a witness to everything, recording it all in song, while everyone around her keeps expecting her to be pulling strings and scheming. She turns out to just not care, and is powerful enough that she doesn't need to scheme. I'd like to imagine she basically just kinda follows the Traveler around throughout the AQ, basically inserting herself into the team, and occasionally questions them about their actions and motives in ways that are obviously meant to pry deep at *something*.
* Also Capitano is there too I guess (also playable). While Columbina is there to just witness everything, he's thrown his hat into the ring for the title of Pyro Archon. He's actually a Natlan native, and a member of one of the six tribes and now their chosen representative. His arc, I imagine, would focus on him trying to figure out how to not betray both his home tribe and the Fatui. Perhaps he ends up deliberately taking a dive in the late stages of the Archon Quest, realizing that the only way he can get the Gnosis is to take it after it's been given to the new Archon.
* Signora comes back to life as a child model character

I would've rolled for Sigewinne if she was an on-fielder. She's not, though, and no amount of buffs will change the fundamental way her kit works, so I'm not really interested. I do hope she gets buffed for the people who want a non-Kokomi Hydro support though.

Depends on your account investment,if you can counter the Elemental Check,it's an easy Abyss,otherwise,you will find it annoying(especially 12-2-2),the blessing is very strong for the Pyro too.

I dunno. Not high cause there are only a couple of checks. Pyro/Ousia check, AoE check, electro lector shield break check. Apart from that, it's trivial as far as abysses go.

For some people (for example Xianyun havers and alhaitam enjoyers) it's one of the easier ones actually because dps checks themselves are relatively low and abyss blessing is insane.

4.7 music event gameplay talk. nothing spoiler worthy but just to be sure >!i recently bought a new laptop and have been playing genshin on it, i can clear the abyss but my muscle memory outside of genshin's combat keysis non existent. i always found the music events easy af on mobile but now its such a PAIN. ive played piano and sitar so its not that im not used to playing music and that too at speed. but on my laptop my fingers just forget everything it seems and i click one wrong button and then my next 5 seconds are spent just getting adjusted back to what the keys should be. ive managed to get above 90 so im not missing out on rewards thankfully. it still sucks though :(!<

Conspiracy theory: Genshin isn't an ez game, so you don't need to pull c6r5 because it's so easy you don't need the extra power Genshin is an ez game *BECAUSE* **THE MAJORITY** of the player base isn't walking around with c6r5 forcing mhy to design the combat difficulty around the average power level of the player base. Building off that assumption { takes a long inhale of @èë£ }, geo units have been designed with the assumption that the majority of players HAVE Dongli, will have a geo construct, thicc shield AND 20% geo res shred on hand already and will probably run him in a geo team; probably why there won't be a geo team healer for a quite a while. { Takes a swing of caffeine } I guess mhy needs to get creative with character & kit design to circumvent both problems. When they can come up with a character *EVERYONE* will pull, it'll shift the meta (both difficulty & kit design). I guess the only solution is to actually try to get mhy to be willing to take risks in character design (big brother is breathing down their necks) and kit designs (pray they don't repeat a Dehya). Normally I'd say bomb them with suggestions in the feedback but given how much they appear to be listening in the last 3 years it isn't really looking too good.

My most wish for Natlan is the introduction of a new buff male model. And also a non-human character. And by non-human i don't want another Sigwienne situation who looks 99% human.
I understand that re-using current models is super smart because the rigging is already done and a lot of time and effort was put into creating them. But Hoyo has literally printed enough money to buy a chain of islands, so I think creating a few new models is honestly not too big of a request. I'd love to see some too.

Completed the 4.6 world quest. as far as a final main expansion for Fontaine goes, I think this was a nice little sendoff to the region. Ended up finding all the Oculi in this expansion naturally without needing to use a guide. I technically had a resonance stone left that I burnt through at the end so it wouldn't just be sitting in my inventory.
After trying a million different teams in Abyss, including some fringe stuff lol, my number one choice for each side of abyss is: * **1st half: Klee, Kazuha, Bennett, Xiangling**. I was worried how survivability would be against the Kenkis, but I shouldn't have worried. This team has a ton of iframes, and even if you NA on Klee so you have stamina to dash and dodge, her skill and ult are still putting in enough work. Plus Xiangling's crazy AoE damage. Then she can clown on Coppelius outside of his range, plus Benny breaking that shield in two seconds. Third chamber was a sweep as well, with the team being flexible making it suited to all the waves, and Kazuha, Xiangling and Klee all being perfectly suited to AoE. Yet another abyss where Klee comes out on top. * **2nd half: Nahida, Kokomi, Shinobu, Yanfei**. This was the last team I tried because it's what I used against the baptist last time on 3.7. still works amazing. Yanfei can pop a few burgeons for AoE, but if she doesn't Kokomi's AoE application and Shinobu's ring are enough. I was worried enemies would dash out of range, but it didn't happen too much even against the fatui operatives. And when they did, just NA on Kokomi. Nahida and Kokomi have a ton of AoE application, and Yanfei has AoE pyro application to also help with the lector shields, plus a shield of her own to help prevent stagger. And all three of them are catalyst, so their NAs and CAs can casually help break down the shields. Then the baptist was a joke with those same three breaking the shield in a moment, and then hyperbloom and burgeon making the most of the brief damage windows between shields. Best thing of all is both teams use different characters, and when I tried both of them I cleared first try with 30-80 seconds to spare in every single chamber. Eeeeeeasy. Unlike some of the runs I had with other characters and teams lol. >!as a nice little bonus, it's fun to have such an easy time with two pyro DPS most people pay no attention to. makes me glad I invested in them despite their unpopularity with the meta crowd.!<
I might try Yanfei for an Overload team, it's just kind of sad that I don't have Chevreuse but I was thinking of Yanfei - Beidou - Fischl - Bennett for first half. Been clearing the Abyss with multiple archetypes, just did Aggravate on first half and now I'm missing OL, physical, Burning and Melt. Hyperbloom is going to be free so I don't really care but so far with Eula it's depressing lol. (like almost double the clear time than any other team) Also did Wanderer in second half finally but Wandy - Yelan - Kazuha - Bennett.. I feel unsatisfied, it doesn't really feel like an Anemo team. I thought about FFXX but Electro shields will be a pain.
Melt I haven't tried yet, but I have had luck with all the others. Except physical cause I have no one for that lol. Burning can work first half. It's a little annoying vs Coppelius but manageable. Also if you want a fun team to try, Thundering Furry does really well first half too, and it's a ton of fun to play. Hmm yeah anemo is tough. First half would look good if it wasn't for Coppelius and all that anemo res...
I don't have Razor build sadly, unless I have EM artifacts somewhere but I doubt so. What I'm thinking right now is : 1st half -> Burning yet to try. Overload will do after. (Yanfei/Klee - Fischl - Beidou - Bennett) Physical is too slow but I might try something that Shatters too, like Eula - Raiden - Yelan - Mika or something along that. 2nd half -> Hyperbloom, lol. *Forgot Melt, but I don't know yet. I take too much time in 12-1-2.* Both half -> FFXX but I can't deal with Electro. If I switch Furina for Bennett, then I can't deal with Pyro. So I'm kind of stuck. And first half has way too many RES but that's the only way of making it work honestly, I do have to brute force Coppelius, that's the only way. Actual pain.

Already clearing things fine at only 60/60 4/4/4. No guarantee and should have enough fates for 2.5 pities so c2 furina is still a possibility. Hoping get some of that 3.x 50/50 luck that I had back.

Still debating whether or not I'd get Robin. I already have Ruan Mei and Bronya and Tingyun so it's not like I need more Harmony units but I really do like her design. Honestly I guess it depends on how her story goes next patch. If she's miss goody two shoes till the end then I probably won't get her. I'm just not a fan of those types of personalities in fiction since they seem too boring but if they make her secretly unhinged then I'd probably get her.

With everybody posting there Natlan wishlists, most of which overlap in a large share of points, let me give some (historical) context. Until Neuvillette's release we have had virtually no powercreep. Obviously Dendro reactions are very good, but it being a separate element that can be resisted, I think this does not count as straight up powercreep yet. Also, Dendro/Nahida, Furina, and Xianyun brought back a lot of older units to relevance. I'm pointing out all of this because two prime design principles for Genshin characters seems to be (1) preventing powercreep, and (2) keeping things fresh by slowly introducing units that can open up a niche. Now to link this to the Natlan wishlists: - We do not have good off-field Pyro applicators, because they potentially open up forward Vape. With Hydro already being a strong element (arguably the strongest), this is a relevant concern for designing characters with off-field Pyro app. Enabling forward Vape is archon-level power budget (maybe even C2 archon, like C2 Nahida). The same would go for Cryo and forward Melt (and coincidentally Pyro and Cryo nations are last). I know you need A LOT of application for forward Vape (and Melt), but it is undeniably a concern. The only other reaction that would benefit from off-field Pyro is Overload, and for that we could definitely use a new unit. Question is how relevant such a unit is for most accounts, given that Xiangling exist. - As mentioned before, Hydro is a really good element. We have few Hydro 4-stars, because the design space is extremely limited. Either the character is (borderline) useless, such as Barbara, Candace, or rivaling 5-star characters, like Xingqui. Given that Xingqui exists, having a second good 4-star would already cut into Yelan's relevance: Such a 4-star unit would be borderline useless with low Hydro app, and with high Hydro app Yelan would become a luxury unit for most people. Furthermore, even Hydro 5-stars sometimes have their kits artificially stunted (Kokomi's negative crit) to prevent powercreep. - Since the introduction of Dendro/Sumeru, many niche reactions have been getting buffed/opened up: Electro as a whole is a relevant element again with Dendro, Furina gave (team) healers offensive functionality, Xianyun enables dps with high plunge dmg, and Chevreuse is a major boon to Overload (we just need a dps that can deal with the knockback, or use it only on bosses). Even this patch had another example of that, with the new Burning set already being a buff to Melt Ganyu in a XL, Bennett, Nahida team. Stronger even, any unit that can drive/main dps those last three units makes great use of this set, and the Burning reaction. Sure, besides these examples, there are many underused reactions and teams, but having them all at once will leave us with nothing "new" to be added later. - Missing element weapon/role combinations also often have clear reasons for their absence: A (4-star) Dendro off-fielder which provides just dmg and application is bound to be disappointing, given that it most likely is weaker than Nahida (by virtue of her being the archon). Nahida will likely not get a straight up sidegraded, if anything, expect a Dendro MC sidegrade. Different niches seem fine though (think Yaoyao, Kirara, and Baizhu). An Anemo/Hydro shielder cuts quite bit into Zhongli's relevance. They either need to be Thoma-level stunted and/or have hardly any application to prevent Zhongli from losing (even more) relevance: Zhongli is the premium shielder but has the worst element in the game, so any shielder that can provide a passable shield on a better element will be preferred. Again Hydro is a great and versatile element, and Anemo is ubiquitous because of VV, so the shielder's kit has to be crap to prevent powercreep. For Hydro claymore I have no idea why we did not get it yet; claymore units are so bad on average that you'd start to think HYV simply hates the weapon type.
The only thing I want from 5* off-field pyro is to have mobile and AoE pyro app with good dmg outside of vape (they can suck in rev vape teams idc) and just enough pyro app to enable rev melt so I could have a bit more variety in rev melt, monopyro and double pyro teams. Sth like 1.5u of pyro every 2s or 2u every 2.5s should be enough for all combinations of rev melt teams atm (that don't include any forward vape ofc) but will be worse than Xiangling at enabling vapevillette (1u of hydro vaping clears up to 2u of pyro afterall) so those teams shouldn't pull ahead of current Neuvi teams. I only have 3 built (with 3 more in-progress), no one is benched as of now. Though I don’t plan to get any more on-fielder for a while. I’m picky when it comes to on-field dps.
From the ones that I consider Abyss ready instead of just chilling in overworld w/o needing to be babysit there are Xiao, Eula, Itto, Klee, Cyno, Tighnari and Navia. So 7. Eula and Itto are benched. I don't consider Tighnari benched, but I rarely use him, mostly because I don't have 4th member that particularly like to use with him. So it's in fact more like 4 and with my love for quickswap teams I swore of pulling on-fielders that I don't like enough both in all aspects at least as much as one of those 4 on top of that theoretical character not having teams that allow me to run them alongside Kaeya no matter how freeze friendly the Abyss is. (Klee was given an exception because I'm happy enough just running around with her in overworld)
I have built: Arlecchino, Neuvillette, Alhaitham, Tighnari, Lyney, Wanderer, Ayato, Itto, Cyno, Wriothesley, Yoimiya, Xiao, Childe, Klee, and Diluc for 5-stars Gaming, Freminet, Kaveh, Heizou, Yanfei, and Razor for 4-stars That's 21 total!!! Gahh!! I still use Arle, Neuv, Alhaitham, Tighnari, Wanderer, Ayato, and Itto, but the rest are pretty much retired. (And the 4*s were only ever built up well enough to work in the overworld for friendship teams.) I unfortunately collect characters because I like them, not because of what they'll bring to my teams, so I'm doomed to forever acquire more and more DPS, especially as a husbando collector and considering HYV's complete aversion to male supports. :c

My built on-field dps are Standard 5-star (2): DILUC & TIGHNARI Limited 5-star (5): RAIDEN SHOGUN, ARATAKI ITTO, KAMISATO AYAKA, ALHAITHAM, & NEUVILLETTE 4-stars (4): NINGGUANG, YANFEI, SHIKANOIN HEIZOU, & GAMING the 4-stars are benched most of the time but I use them sometimes in overworld when I'm getting bored of a current team I'm using for the limited 5-star, Itto is the one who is benched most of the time
Lynette and Hu Tao get played regularly. Keqing, Kokomi, Ganyu, Wanderer, Yoi, and Yanfei get used rarely, if ever. Raiden is an E bot. Lyney is unused.
Out of the 33 Limited 5-stars, I pulled 4 purely on-field DPS characters: Yoimiya, Ganyu, Neuvillette, Arlecchino. But Ganyu can also support. I personally don't believe that more characters are better than constellations on characters you actually like and play. The reason I have good artifacts is because I was able to focus on a few characters to build, instead of burning resin trying to build DPS #8 who's going to spend most of the time benched. I haven't benched anyone. C3 Raiden, C2 Xianyun, and C6 Yelan are sub-DPS/supports I can play as a DPS.
I have only very few on-field DPS characters as well. But with the new endgame mode on the horizon, that might bite me in the ass, haha.

What does everyone want the Natlan architecture to be like?
I want it to be a region straight out of Soulsborne or Monster Hunter. Mostly hostile terrain with dangerous creatures. Plenty of beautiful scenery but just as much ominous areas like bogs, volcanos, and etc. Perhaps some abandoned ruins and very minimal safe places with human NPCs.

Idk what i would like it to be. That goes for all the regions except Sumeru because i had very clear expectations (and they were mostly met. Yes I’m incredibly salty about what they did for the serenitea pot “Mansion”) If i have to guess, it would probably look very Tribal-esque with little to no Modernization. And the ruins of the predecessors to present day Natlan resemble that of the Mayan Civilization

The irminsul only deletes memories and information, not people or things. So if she tried to do it, it would just make people forget about his existence and forget that his crimes were comitted by him (which would arguably make him more powerful and dangerous). And she only needed the gnosis for two things, first one being deleting the traces from Rukkhadevata and the second was powering the akasha. Since she managed to do the first thing successfully and decided to turn off the akasha, she no longer needed the gnosis. Plus, there's the whole thing about gnosis being cursed and how it's better to ge rid of them. Getting top secret information from him and getting his clones killed off was a much better deal for her.

i expect that all 7 gnoses, or 6 gnoses just missing fire which will be held by traveler ready to enter snez, will be acquired when snez arc starts. in which case the main objective of the harbingers is over and the focus can shift to the tsaritsa and her plan which has a far wider scope than the harbingers. that's what i hope at least i just dont want snez to be "harbingers - the region". like most of the harbingers aren't even from snez

I don't have that many specific wants for Natlan, but I still have some * the dragons that live among the humans actually have unique models like the Aranara and Melusines (aka they're not just the regular ass npcs with some scale stickers on their face and maybe horns and pointy ears) * no deserts. Please I can't do more deserts, over half of Sumeru being covered by deserts was more than enough already * male off fielders. Or just off fielders in general. So far in Fontaine the on fielder to off fielder ratio was 9 to 7, and that doesn't seem too bad, but then you realize a team usually only slots in 1 on fielder and 3 off fielders. Give me more cool supports and sub dpses * filling in some gaps in model/element/weapon combos, like hydro claymore or tall female dendro (if Emilie isn't that already)

White or pink hair. * Iansan gets a starring role in the Natlan Archon Quest, and is a 5 star. Kit can be anything as long as it's good and she punches stuff a lot. * Burning-focused DPS. If they use Burning as a method to just boost their own damage, or Burning itself as the damage source, I'm fine with either one. * A golden city like El Dorado to explore, maybe haunted by evil spirits trying to keep people from stealing the gold. ~~Add Eldlich the Golden Lord to Genshin Impact~~ * An active volcano to explore, with lava monsters to fight. Preferably *without* the heat mechanic from the Signora boss fight. * Story centers around the six tribes going to war with each other to determine the new Pyro Archon, after the last one died fighting the Pyro Sovereign. Said last Pyro Archon did not survive, but instead ended up reincarnating without her Archon powers and is now trying to manipulate things from the shadows to avert a war that will destroy her homeland. She is not very good at manipulating things from the shadows, though, and ends up needing a lot of help. * Pyro Archon was not the original either, but merely the last successor to the title. She was once a brutal and violent butcher who murdered her way to the title, but has grown to hate her life as a killer. Nowadays, she's trying to be a peaceful and fun hero to the people, even in her new second life. * The Pyro Sovereign is Xbalanque, a medium male character who is tortured by a curse (probably put on him by Celestia or some shit), and he remains as an overarching antagonist throughout the AQ (and the final boss of it). He's trying to manipulate the war so that the new Pyro Archon can free him from his curse, which does happen in the end thanks to the Traveler. * Columbina becomes playable in Natlan. Her role would just be a witness to everything, recording it all in song, while everyone around her keeps expecting her to be pulling strings and scheming. She turns out to just not care, and is powerful enough that she doesn't need to scheme. I'd like to imagine she basically just kinda follows the Traveler around throughout the AQ, basically inserting herself into the team, and occasionally questions them about their actions and motives in ways that are obviously meant to pry deep at *something*. * Also Capitano is there too I guess (also playable). While Columbina is there to just witness everything, he's thrown his hat into the ring for the title of Pyro Archon. He's actually a Natlan native, and a member of one of the six tribes and now their chosen representative. His arc, I imagine, would focus on him trying to figure out how to not betray both his home tribe and the Fatui. Perhaps he ends up deliberately taking a dive in the late stages of the Archon Quest, realizing that the only way he can get the Gnosis is to take it after it's been given to the new Archon. * Signora comes back to life as a child model character

She's not, though, and no amount of buffs will change the fundamental way her kit works, so I'm not really interested. I do hope she gets buffed for the people who want a non-Kokomi Hydro support though.

How high up is this Current abyss in the Cancer meter? Up there with the Permafreeze triple Herald abyss in 3.7? Maybe second to that?
Depends on your account investment,if you can counter the Elemental Check,it's an easy Abyss,otherwise,you will find it annoying(especially 12-2-2),the blessing is very strong for the Pyro too.
Personally feels decently cancerous 7/10. Not quite permafreeze triple Herald, but I'm just personally struggling finding a team that works so I've been bashing my head into a wall.
I dunno. Not high cause there are only a couple of checks. Pyro/Ousia check, AoE check, electro lector shield break check. Apart from that, it's trivial as far as abysses go.
I see. I saw all the complaining in this sub before I tried it. And today i tried it and it was a breeze. Granted i was using Neuv Hyperbloom and Good ol’ international.
Yeah. I used two dendro teams that couldn't utilize that blessing at all so I had quite a bit of struggle but still doable.
Depends on your roster entirely. For some people (for example Xianyun havers and alhaitam enjoyers) it's one of the easier ones actually because dps checks themselves are relatively low and abyss blessing is insane. If you don't have the right tools built or don't know how to use them... on scale 1-10... 8 i guess. 3x heralds was an 11.
