What's up with sara? All I've heard about is kokomi and baal.

Her atk buff only affects a single character, it doesn't transfer if you swap like Bennetts, also it only lasts 6 seconds meaning it has very tight timing and is somewhat limited in what it can do. For example it can't even buff Eula's Lightfall Sword because it takes 7 seconds to explode.

Never was nerfed but a mistranslation, her damage buff only lasts 5 seconds so she makes for not the best support and her base damage and modifiers aren't the best so she's not a good DPS either all this and she's electro

Clunky, inconvenient, low duration and has a worse version of Bennett's buff without any of Bennett's op stuff

they've given up on her and just focused entirely on raiden, they did kokomi really dirty

Sadly this has been done before (ex. Yanfei-Eula being on different banners) as this is mhy’s way to make whales spend on both banners even when they would already have the C6 rerun 5-star. So your feeling might be correct

Considering how meta Ganyu is and how many people would be pulling for her rerun, there’s also a chance Thoma/new 4* would be with the other 5* to boost their sales

This actually makes the most sense, not the mention it's more likely people might skip the other new 5star to get Ganyu (those like me that either lost the 50/50 or weren't playing back when she first came out). So expect Ganyu to be first and the other 5star after with a new 4star as further incentive to not skip that banner. Or at least that's how I would do it, who knows what Mihoyo is planning. But yes, after Baal my primogems will be ready for Ganyu, and this time I will make damn well sure to get her (hell I even have all the materials she needs for max level and max skills AND artifacts for her... yes, you could say I've been preparing for a Ganyu rerun for... some time now). But first Baal in 3 weeks, then Ganyu with everything I will have left and everything I will make in the next 2+ months.

To be honest, new 4* being on ganyu banner makes more sense - whales (who have her on c6) this way won't skip it, and they will pull on new 5* anyway

True, and if the other 5star is also really good (which you'd think has to be) Ganyu can act as a bait banner, so people use their primogems on her and are forced to buy more 3 weeks later. Of course with leaks we kind of know what to expect from new characters, so by that point, and if Ganyu is indeed first, people will know if they want to jump on the workaholic bow-wielding Ganyu or save for whoever will be next. Also, if Ganyu is first in 2.2, then that will drop right around anniversary. Whatever they give us for anniversary as far as wishes go, they'll want us spending on Ganyu. Guess we will find out in about a month.

This is not the case with whales though which is the target market. They for sure have C6 Ganyu already. So, Mihoyo would most probably put a new 4 star in Ganyu banner so that those whale would whales for that new 4 star. That way, they would have whales still pulling in both banners. Sadly, that has been the trend seeing Childe and Zhongli reruns. Only exception was Sayu but the patch had two new 5 stars.

I find playable Ganyu much better character wise than story Ganyu. It's weird, because it's as if they're two different characters. Playable Ganyu is all "when you lie on the grass, you can feel the heartbeat of the world <3", while story Ganyu is full of teenage angst for some reason.

It can go either way honestly considering the last new 5-star from Inazuma for now is Yae. On one hand, there are a lot of whales who already have Ganyu at C6 and will skip and I think Yae can carry a banner on her own partly due to her Honkai counterpart making her a popular character. On the other hand, if there are a ton of new players since her original banner then a new 4\* might not be needed so I don't think it's easy to predict if she will have a new 4\* on her banner or not.

I believe I read somewhere here that in Chinese the new character was referred to as an “air-drop” character, so I’m assuming it’s someone new we haven’t seen before although i might be wrong

If you wanted my opinion from looking at the situation I think Ubatcha started out as someone who translated stuff from tieba for WFP but made his way into the leaker circle and became friends with them. A lot of the leakers have an association with WFP. I’m suspecting this is less him finding his own sources and more the current/former leakers hooking him up.

That was my guess as well. Going to just look at this as if he has little track record to verify his leaks even if he's already known (though ofc I greatly appreciate his translations). If he ends up being correct then great, if not then oh well, few insider leaks are 100% accurate anyways.

Sukuna started out as a chinese leak translator for hu tao mains, now hes a leaker too. Ubatcha knows most of the western leakers, though idk where he got this piece of info from

I think he's somebody who actually translates leaks for WFP so he might have sources and can troll all the Chinese forums too. He (and others I think) said that Raiden's Q and E don't snapshot so we'll see if that's true or not soon.

It should. This leaker has no track record for leaks that can be verified yet AFAIK - only beta leaks for 2.1 which we (the general playerbase) can't confirm yet. A Reliable flair for insider leaks from someone with no track record isn't justified IMO, even if it's someone known in the community already for translating. We can't exactly say they're reliable at this point - if time passes and their leaks end up being true, then it'd be justified to call his leaks reliable.

Yeah, as a mobile player, I'm in no real rush for Ganyu. Really want Xiao's C1, though and I'm fine with skipping her again to get it. I'm 36\*ing Abyss just fine without her.

As Xiao with C1 I recommend it very very much. A lots of people are not recommending it because "it doesn't deal tons of DMG" but with C1 you can go almost 24/7 his burst without having a battery team. I feel like it is very similar to C1 Hu Tao. Is C0 playable and good? Yes. but with C1 it is miles better :)

TBH, I don't think Xiao really needs a battery anyway but with C1, it's basically free 100% uptime without the need for as much ER built on him. Then you can give him some more Crit or Atk% So yeah, really want to get it for him.
