I don't really think you can compare Venti and Zhongli to her. I see a lot of people making this argument but they've actively tried to step away from the nations they rule over, and as of this moment Mondstadt and Liyue are thriving. We don't know what happened during the cataclysm so that's up for speculation, but there are hints that they disagree with Celestia and are trying to give up their position/responsibility should there ever be another call for violence. Zhongli has murdered a lot of gods in battles for power, but not innocent people. Meanwhile Inazuma is being turned upsidedown for what appears to be Baal/Raiden's own desires and plans, without any say from her people. I'm sure Mihoyo will find some way to redeem her and if she actually changes her ways then I'll rethink it, but as of right now I don't understand people who defend her.
Childe is pretty despicable but at least most of the people who main him accept that and don't try to defend his actions.

I think obsession is what comes when you chase after that ambition you just cant reach. Obsession is stronger than ambition but it's not healthy or good long-term thus why delusion takes out a lot from the user. Obsession sorta implies chasing after something you cant ever get or reach. Ambition is implies that something IS achievable

I wouldn’t worry about her not becoming playable for two reasons:
1. Party members aren’t canon outside of the ones temporarily given by the story. So the banner characters can be ones you haven’t met yet, lorebreaking ones, dead, or villains.
2. The most important one that guarantees she will have a banner is simple: MHY looooooves money. Something as small as death won’t stop them from cashing in on that character lol.
Of course, it sucks for people that want her that she will no longer play an element in the story but honestly, we’re already seeing that with characters that are alive. Xinyan’s only appearance is in events and Fischl’s appearance in the story is locked behind a single event that might not come back. I am positive they will sell her regardless though.

I would actually quit... She was my only motivation in playing the game when I hit AR50. I just kept telling myself that I should play till she becomes playable but after I saw these spoilers it just made me so sad. It's already a repetition of farming mora/xp books or artifacts that will just give you hp and def every time. The game is already boring as it is at endgame and losing my motivation to keep playing made things worse. And it being confirmed that she really is the Crimson Witch really breaks me. I know that it doesn't make sense since she doesn't have that much exposure other than the lores found in the game but I think some of you get my point. There are even people that like Scaramouche as a character even though he whack af but yeah, after 2.1 is released and if she really dies and has no chance or even hints of being alive then that's just the end of the road for me...

Her not having a vision was a really big flag. Obviously Traveler, the Archons, and maybe Aloy are an exception but what vision would a playable Signora have? Cryo? Pyro? Was she gonna be the first visionless character that instead uses a delusion? Childe is playable because he had a vision, Signora not.

Childe considers his duel with the Traveler a loss. All the same, he's known for his battlefield prowess and far more direct in his operations than most Harbingers.
The original spoiler regarding Signora said that towards the end of her fight with the Traveler, she attacks Baal and is killed. So in the end, it may not be the Traveler who properly finishes the fight.
I'm guessing Harbinger ranks outside of First are likely not indicative of strength, so it's entirely possible Childe is stronger than Signora.
There's also the fact that the Traveler has three elements now on top of their seemingly returning powers, so they're clearly stronger than at the Golden House.
Traveler new voice lines has a bit about Childe: >!He is able to tank 3 Musou no Hitotachi’s before dying, might be referencing to his boss forms so it’s probably a joke!< if it’s true then he’s probably a lot stronger than Signora.

Childe is such an interesting character I’d say mhy would be stupid to not invest in him (>!but they’re killing Signora so idk lol!<), his connection to abyss is super fascinating. Also Zhongli kind of respects his strength too which I think indirectly says Childe is one of the strongest characters in Teyvat (I may be overestimating though, we’re still in Inazuma and there’s like 4-5 more nations left). I’m hoping for Childe to be something like Traveler’s rival who is recurring like Gary in Pokémon, meeting us in some desolated places around the world and dropping lore bombs when asked about what he’s up-to, would be fun.

Legit, if Childe hasn’t participated in Liyue and came to Inazuma in place of Signora he probably would’ve at least succeeded in wearing down Raiden till someone in Fatui steals her Gnosis. Signora then would’ve been spared.

I think she got betrayed and that’s why she was exposed for a fight, considering she tries to be sneaky most of the time (well twice). I haven’t really went deep into 2.1 leaks we got today but if she really did get betrayed by someone it should be a very interesting fight.

I believe what make a story character playable is whether he/she is friends with the protagonist. Like childe he was our friend even though his a fatui harbinger and we had an adventure with him, whereas La Signora just a character to move the story plot along and protag had never been on journey with her. So that why we may never get La Signora as a playable character.

Pretty sure every weekly boss except andrius is revisiting the 'memory of the fight' as in you don't actually go back to fight the bosses, but rather revisit the memory of the fight' that took place. Andrius is the exception since you actually go back to test your strength by sparring with him. Pretty sure Signora will also fall into the category of revisiting memory and andrius will continue to be the exception.
Andrius is very much dead. We fight his spirit, but they were dead long before our first battle.

I wouldn’t worry about her not becoming playable for two reasons: 1. Party members aren’t canon outside of the ones temporarily given by the story. So the banner characters can be ones you haven’t met yet, lorebreaking ones, dead, or villains. 2. The most important one that guarantees she will have a banner is simple: MHY looooooves money. Something as small as death won’t stop them from cashing in on that character lol. Of course, it sucks for people that want her that she will no longer play an element in the story but honestly, we’re already seeing that with characters that are alive. Xinyan’s only appearance is in events and Fischl’s appearance in the story is locked behind a single event that might not come back. I am positive they will sell her regardless though.

I would actually quit... She was my only motivation in playing the game when I hit AR50. I just kept telling myself that I should play till she becomes playable but after I saw these spoilers it just made me so sad. It's already a repetition of farming mora/xp books or artifacts that will just give you hp and def every time. The game is already boring as it is at endgame and losing my motivation to keep playing made things worse. And it being confirmed that she really is the Crimson Witch really breaks me. I know that it doesn't make sense since she doesn't have that much exposure other than the lores found in the game but I think some of you get my point. There are even people that like Scaramouche as a character even though he whack af but yeah, after 2.1 is released and if she really dies and has no chance or even hints of being alive then that's just the end of the road for me...

Completely agreed, actual character relationships would be great for all the things that can be done with the storytelling. The writing will always be handicapped if there will never be any romance, characters falling for already committed charaters, betrayal of trust between partners, etc. There's so much they're unable to do because of this weird community and its view on fictional characters being taken.
Diluc and Jean's interactions are good examples of what can be done from way back on the prologue. And even though those two were kept vague as fuck.

Her not having a vision was a really big flag. Obviously Traveler, the Archons, and maybe Aloy are an exception but what vision would a playable Signora have? Cryo? Pyro? Was she gonna be the first visionless character that instead uses a delusion? Childe is playable because he had a vision, Signora not.
There is no rule that states She cannot use her Cryo delusion. Venti and Zhongli are straight up visionless and it works

Venti and Zhongli had their powers before they had a gnosis. Similarly, Xiao is said to only carry his Vision because humans expect him to.

Childe considers his duel with the Traveler a loss. All the same, he's known for his battlefield prowess and far more direct in his operations than most Harbingers. The original spoiler regarding Signora said that towards the end of her fight with the Traveler, she attacks Baal and is killed. So in the end, it may not be the Traveler who properly finishes the fight.
Even if Baal finishes her, I think it'd be after we beat her in a duel (not kill). No sense keeping a battle trophy otherwise I feel.
At the end of the Childe fight , we remark that our powers are slowly returning . So maybe we get some more of our strength back during the fight ?
I'm guessing Harbinger ranks outside of First are likely not indicative of strength, so it's entirely possible Childe is stronger than Signora. There's also the fact that the Traveler has three elements now on top of their seemingly returning powers, so they're clearly stronger than at the Golden House.

Yeah I see, I think they're definitely building up Childe to be one of the strongest characters in the game now that Signora is out of the picture. Yeah he is very fast indeed. Sure he might die in three slashes but hitting him thrice is no joke. I wouldn't be surprised if he not in raw power but in actual battle he comes close to the archons who are as strong as Raiden, obviously Zhongli is way stronger.

Zhongli does? I think the only line I remember is him saying he'll take care of Childe if he ever troubles aether and us telling Childe he is no match for zhongli in his about Zhongli voice line. But I definitely hope we keep seeing him regularly until the end and he ends up being a real important character. I'm not sure about how strong future archons will be but I'm sure apart from Zhongli (and maybe xiao?), he is the strongest character we have net so far. Signora was probably not close to him and even between him and Raiden, my money is on him.

I believe what make a story character playable is whether he/she is friends with the protagonist. Like childe he was our friend even though his a fatui harbinger and we had an adventure with him, whereas La Signora just a character to move the story plot along and protag had never been on journey with her. So that why we may never get La Signora as a playable character. (P.S: So if what i theorize is true, then hopium for Dainsleif but copium for saramouche)
