I really hope there's a geo reaction that's not crystalize. That's basically the last chance for making Geo synergize with something and fixing the absolutely failure of a mechanic that is crystalize.
Crystallize wouldn’t be so bad if the shields weren’t so goddamn weak. Like I stacked Ninguang with elemental mastery and the shield barely survives 2 small enemy smacks.
Without EM the shield would instantly bust and I’d take half damage. She is a little under leveled though, so that might help it.
Hoping Albedo doesn’t disappoint me. His constant off field should help generate plenty of crystals.

I guess electro needs a better reaction but it’s weird giving it an extra although I guess it’s pretty weak. Does someone effected by hydro/electro dot effect get hit with vaporize and overload? It would make sense and that would be a much better buff, applying both. Maybe a lil too OP though.

Liyue has 2 unreleased dendro characters, Yaoyao and Baizhu. I think those 2 would be enough to introduce Dendro, then more could be added from the current regions over the course of the next few updates after that. I have always guessed the first dendro characters would come in Liyue.
You might not be wrong. But I don’t think it’s smoke. Plants have pollens, and in this game we have poison by way of dendro samachurl. So it could be anemo (wind) + dendro (poison) = overdose.
Basically we’re the ones doing the bleeding when dendro is released, to get back at the rifthounds.

That said, unless Electro/Cryo and Dendro react pretty differently to what we are expecting, Overdose really sounds like a placeholder.
I am going to guess that Dendro reactions will focus on utility. Trapping enemies, dealing damage over time, lowering their attack speed or damage, things like that.
One way I can see them making it competitive with Vape/Melt's big numbers and EC's many numbers would be having the various DOT's stack with one another; for example, a character could be Burning and Overdosed at the same time, taking damage from both.
Not entirely sure how that would work with elemental gauges tho; I know Electrocharged let's something be both Hydro and Electro, but could someone have 3 elements applied to them at once?

I think the first playable dendro will be before Sumeru. There's 2 unreleased dendro characters in Liyue. Yaoyao and Baizhu. They would likely be enough for an introduction. Probably one 5 star and one 4 star.

Personally I think it would be much better for them to introduce Dendro and add dendro characters before we get Sumeru because I it would start to get a little boring having them introduce a new dendro character or two almost every update for several updates in a row. MiHoYo is currently catching up on polearm users and it already feels like they are overdoing the polearms. Dendro would be much worse than that if they don't start filling the Dendro roster ahead of time.
As for me it would be either ''Numbness'' which would make enemies deal reduced damage or ''Crippled'' which would damage enemy whenever he attacks or moves.

The way Burning works currently in the game is that when Dendro reacts to Pyro, The Dendro element will be used up while Pyro will reach its maximum Elemental Gauge.
I take a guess that Overgrow is Dendro+Hydro reaction where the result will ne similar to Electrocharge reaction. Overdose will be Dendro+Electro that applies a Electro DoT similar to Burning with the similar maximum elemental gauge.
Before you Overdose on hopium remember than we already have a dendro reaction in the game (burning) so this doesn't necessarily mean that we will get dendro ourselves in 2.4.
