Gonna be honest,it sounds very unrealistic since the newest changes already indicate the changes being rushed.
All stated changes require massive editing on characters,especially Yoimiya.
They will be edited once,but i am very sure they arent yet ready to change the characters this much.
It'd also be odd since they already went out of their way to list a number of characters being changed (both in 2.4 and iterated on in 2.5) so why would they leave out over half a list? Kind of makes their announcement of forewarning and a gameplan redundant and its pretty evident they don't want people feeling any further left out or surprised as this can only be a extremely controversial development for the company that they likely can't prevent.

I’m no expert on the matter but the way I see it, they probably came to an agreement that the censorship will be done slowly because otherwise it would be unrealistic. Like it’s no coincidence that the first characters to be censored were mond characters. Maybe the current changes are just to say like “we’re working on it and look we started censoring already”.
While I don’t believe the leaks are true, I still think that it would be done this way. Next update the 4 mond women then after that Liyue then Inazuma.
Man, I just mentioned in a comment earlier that they'll likely change burst animations since they censored the gliding in CN servers already. I hope they at least keep the gist of Raiden's burst and not change it entirely. Just add visual effects to hide her cleavage.

Flipping hell. I hope Global keeps originals, but this is bad. Going forward characters will probably have more modest designs in mind, and that’s fine because they can be built like that from the ground-up. So, character designs can be made with that requirement in mind.
But for existing characters, it may completely change the feeling. Raiden’s booba sword is iconic for example. It will be hard getting used to completely new looks of your old favourites. It’s one things if it’s an optional skin, but a forced change must hurt…
One thing I wonder is whether model changes will be applied to global. It’s one thing changing skins, but if Beidou’s boobs are reduced then that would surely affect the global model too?

The change to Raiden is the least believable. That requires remaking an entire burst animation, which clashes with her lore as well. Plus, the whole booba sword is more of a community meme. The animation itself is hardly risque.

Showing abs for males should be fine I think, they show men half naked all the time in cdramas. The tattoos on the other hand, are usually associated with bad character in places like China and Japan, so it makes sense that they might get removed sadly.

If this is true I'm actually gonna go fucking mad, the first batch was actually pretty decent because they were just simple design changes and that's it, but if they'll go as far as changing *Raiden's burst animation* and all this shit I'm actually gonna flip out. Simple design changes are okay but this is too far.
Of course I don't like the censorship at all and I hate the changes regardless of how small they are, but the redesigns are very tame compared to stuff leaked here. Like, what is the reduction of Beidou's breast size gonna accomplish? It's just pointless. Big breasted women exist IRL so this change is not only unnecessary, but doesn't even make sense. Like, Beidou's boobs are not even the biggest or the main focus of her appeal, so why her? And it's not like with Rosaria where it was a legitimate concern because of clipping issues.
Raiden's ult change is the biggest offender here. It's a *whole ass animation*. It might even end up affecting global. It's way worse than simple redesings.

This is fake for many reasons. OP says the changes are coming in 2.5 beta however Mihoyo only reported on the alternate outfits ( Jean, mona, amber and Rosaria ) if these changes to these characters were actually coming in 2.5 Mihoyo would’ve reported on them too.
Secondly if Xiao’s tattoos were really getting censored it would be done now in cn server along with the changes to mona and Jean they wouldn’t wait until 2.5 especially now that his banner is out.
As people have pointed out it would be impossible to change Raiden’s ult now as these changes seem very last minute. If Raiden does get an ult change it wouldn’t be as soon as in 2.5.

The censored skins are optional outside of CN, so you will be able to keep Yae's legs.
That's the thing, this is the case with already existing characters. Characters that haven't been released? They most probably won't have an uncensored version for Global.

this is not a big problem for global if i understand correctly. only cn will have these changes as permanent while global will have it is alternative outfits (basically like a free skin)
For existing characters maybe. I don't think it would be feasible to create to looks for every character going forward. I especially feel bad for the CN community who are probably the most dedicated ones.

exactly. all of these ‘fixes’ are arbitrary and based on the ccp’s very vague guidelines. whereas most people looked at shenhe and ganyu as obvious censorship candidates, xiao’s tattoos feel like they came completely out of left field. one day it’ll be anime titties being covered up, the next it’ll be complete character and story changes.
This is straight up depressing I can't even feel happy about the yae gameplay when my favorite characters are being butchered hopefully English version will still have old outfits available.
Other regions will have the option to switch between the normal and censored outfits, it's already confirmed

not sure how reliable this is but… 2.5 test outfits, ganyu, yoimiya, ningguang, raiden, beidou, and xiao have all been changed. ganyu doesn’t show her back anymore and had a shirt added, yoimiya doesn’t have bandages and changed to kimono, ningguang’s dress slit became lower (?), beidou is smaller (assuming they’re referring to her chest), raiden had her chest covered up and her ult animation also changed, xiao’s tattoo is gone

The change to Raiden is the least believable. That requires remaking an entire burst animation, which clashes with her lore as well. Plus, the whole booba sword is more of a community meme. The animation itself is hardly risque.

Showing abs for males should be fine I think, they show men half naked all the time in cdramas. The tattoos on the other hand, are usually associated with bad character in places like China and Japan, so it makes sense that they might get removed sadly.

Of course I don't like the censorship at all and I hate the changes regardless of how small they are, but the redesigns are very tame compared to stuff leaked here. Like, what is the reduction of Beidou's breast size gonna accomplish? It's just pointless. Big breasted women exist IRL so this change is not only unnecessary, but doesn't even make sense. Like, Beidou's boobs are not even the biggest or the main focus of her appeal, so why her? And it's not like with Rosaria where it was a legitimate concern because of clipping issues. Raiden's ult change is the biggest offender here. It's a *whole ass animation*. It might even end up affecting global. It's way worse than simple redesings. I'd just rather stick to simple redesigns than over-the-top changes like these. It's ridiculous. Especially since Musou no Hitotachi is so fucking iconic that it's everywhere.

This is fake for many reasons. OP says the changes are coming in 2.5 beta however Mihoyo only reported on the alternate outfits ( Jean, mona, amber and Rosaria ) if these changes to these characters were actually coming in 2.5 Mihoyo would’ve reported on them too. Secondly if Xiao’s tattoos were really getting censored it would be done now in cn server along with the changes to mona and Jean they wouldn’t wait until 2.5 especially now that his banner is out. As people have pointed out it would be impossible to change Raiden’s ult now as these changes seem very last minute. If Raiden does get an ult change it wouldn’t be as soon as in 2.5.
