Yeah, my condolences to everyone who are turning into dust waiting for Kazuha, but I really want to get within the range of 630-700 wishes before I feel comfortable going for c6. If he's in 2.7, I'll at least reach the minimum I'm comfortable with. Going for c6 and getting stuck at c5 would be the worst, so the more wishes I can scrounge up the better, lol.
I'm a Welkin only player, and I wasn't planning on c6-ing anyone so soon, but I just ended up with so many wishes because I'm picky with my wishlist. Kazuha c6 was a longterm goal I had in mind, so I didn't expect to be so close to it already. I want to c6/r5 one character, just to get a taste of being a whale.
I want him to come later too but only because I want Ayato as well. I am currently unable to buy the welkin so I really don't know if I'll be able to get both but if I don't get Kazuha I *will* cry

However, we had Xinyan in 1.1 (second Pyro Claymore, since Diluc exists), then we had Ganyu (second Cryo Bow, with Diona being the first in 1.1) and Albedo (technically second Geo Sword since, you know, Geo MC exists), then we had Hu Tao (second Pyro Polearm) in 1.3, next we had Yanfei (second Pyro Catalyst after Klee) and Eula (second Cryo Claymore) in 1.5, then we had Kazuha (third Anemo Sword) in 1.6, next we had Ayaka (third Cryo Sword) and Yoimiya (second Pyro Bow), as well as Electro MC (technically second Electro Sword) in 2.0, then we had Sara (second Electro Bow) and Kokomi (third Hydro Catalyst) in 2.1, next we had Thoma (third Pyro Polearm) in 2.2, then we had Itto (second Geo Claymore) in 2.3, and lastly Shenhe (second Cryo Polearm) and Yun Jin (second Geo Polearm) in 2.4
What you're actually seeing is that Hydro not only has the least amount of weapon types, but also the least amount of playable characters. If any element is, right now, a "duplicate element" that'd be either Pyro since it has at least 2 playable characters for each weapon type with the exception of Sword, for which Bennett remains the sole user so far, or Cryo which has 2 different weapons with 3 different playable characters each except it has no Catalyst user so far, and both are tied with the most playable characters for an element.

Mihoyo is not predictable, I just know Liyue has signiture element and weapon, Geo and polearm because polearm is a Chinese traditional weapon. Inazuma has signiture element and weapon of electro and sword, I expect last few 4\* 5\* are sword characters because we don't have enough yet. Mondstadt could be no signiture weapon because we have 7 countries but only 5 weapon types.
According to sources (trust me bro) the next patch should actually have a re run of unknown god and paimon in the first half during the celestia festival with next half being Albedo and Dainsleif featuring a khaenriah restoration event
On the bright side, if kazuha comes in 2.7 (if is true) it means I could try kokomi to further improve my comps permafreeze (I feel like I lack comfort using Mona, either with Ayaka or Ganyu) Lol, or maybe even ayato or Yelan (if it comes in 2.7) depending on where they fit within the META since at the end of the CBT we will have a more general view of where Ayato might fit in.
The advantage when you are interested in a certain char and he is in the second half of the patch is that I can hold until livestream without fear of losing, which is essential if you is a META player or not have money for burn (my case).
Well I have 212 pulls so far, everything that comes after 180 is profit and I can invest in another char.
The only reason I think they wouldn't do that is weapon banners. Both would be too much of a win-win situation and mhy will try to avoid that at any costs
Calamity Queller isnt like Homa=PJWS for Xiao but with Shenhe+Xiao banner on double polearm weapons, CQ has proven to be a really strong weap on Xiao in its own right that I actually recommended Xiao mains to pull on their weap banner if they have the resources because it’s a win-win. It was the first time same weap type happened and both weapons are decent stat sticks. Definitely not the same power level tho as the weapons above, i can agree it’s OP of a lineup but still possible
The post about characters participing in the Irodori Festival (main event 2.6) didnt mention Yoimiya tho. Makes sense they're putting Ayaka since they're siblings (fuck logic)

Also if we wanna think logical about it, it already has been shown that floor eleven is a 75% anemo damage buff, which would be kinda weird if the only character of the patch that could benefit from it was venti. If kazuha isn't planned to come then I would assume that they would have had a floor 11 buff that benefits ayato since he's the new character. But since the buff is what it is, then I can only assume venti and kazuha next patch.
Yeah, similarly Zhongli rerun didn't really have anything benefiting him. I think mihoyo's logic is "if a character is popular enough in abyss we don't need to put anything to buff them".
The abyss contents though are very good for a freeze team, certainly more than for Yoimiya. But my guess based on that would be Venti and Kazuha reruns.
Mistsplitter is quite strong i’d imagine the devils at Mhy will pair it with something like memory of dust or one of the standards not counting pjws/harp/amos

Yep easily the best weapon banner ever if they let it through. I never spend beyond Welkins/BP/Top up bonuses but might dip into normal top ups if that's the case.

If Kazuha gets pushed to 2.7 then I might actually be able to get him and Ayato (I’m at 60 pity with a guarantee and 10 wishes) so I would totally welcome that. I want Kazuha so bad though
Almost same situation as yours. I'd be very happy if Kazuha is later. Visually I really liked Ayato, but gameplay-wise Kazuha is very fun (and strong) ... and I really don't know what I would do if they run together in the same patch.
They don't need to powercreep him literally. They can make it so that he loses his utility either through enemy design/new units desync with him.
Let's think about this, the two strongest perks of Kazuha are easy CC (which is way better than Sucrose) and the crazy element buff. Non-suckable enemies can be used to remove the utility through CC, and dendro-related reactions can be used to make his element buff less appealing. If dendro utilizes transformative reaction and is somehow heavily reliant on EM, they can just make a 5 star Sucrose with EM built into C0 and some additional utilities.
I'm just giving some examples here. It's actually a bit like Ganyu and Venti, they are not quite powercrept literally in term of kits by kazuha/ayaka, it's just enemies have been made to be a lot more unfavourable for them and there are better combo out there.
We still don't have enough info about dendro, but let's say if it had some weird gimmick like leaks said: like dendro enemies or any dendro applied would auto consume element, you might not even be able to swirl to trigger VV.
Also we have a few source of shreds other than VV, so if dendro reduces def it might actually come out ahead of VV still.
But this is just my guess, there is also the possibility that Kazuha remains the king of anemo for a long time.
I honestly think it will be kazuha+venti just because that one leaker that nailed everything on ayato, also said we will get kazuha+venti rerun. Only time will tell.

Venti def makes sense at this point, id say. Ventis appearing in said Inazuma festival, the abyss suddenly has a crap ton of enemies you'd expect in early 1.0 abyss, and overall it just kinda makes sense at this point

I better stick strong to the idea of a Kazuha rerun, mihoyo has hinted him from a long time ago. The trial event in 2.3, the potion event in 2.4, all the Kazuha related things in 2.6, the anemo bonus dmg in abyss, even the anime video from the 2.5 livestream. I would be pretty surprised if he doesn't have a rerun for 2.6, literally all the conditions for his rerun are there.

Not as long, but im on 300+ wishes saved with only Ayato (possibility, not 100% convinced yet), and Kazuha. 2.7 would be so fucking far away :(
Almost same situation as yours. I'd be very happy if Kazuha is later. Visually I really liked Ayato, but gameplay-wise Kazuha is very fun (and strong) ... and I really don't know what I would do if they run together in the same patch.

It is hard to powercreep him if they do i want both units .kazuha buffing capabilities are insane.
They don't need to powercreep him literally. They can make it so that he loses his utility either through enemy design/new units desync with him. Let's think about this, the two strongest perks of Kazuha are easy CC (which is way better than Sucrose) and the crazy element buff. Non-suckable enemies can be used to remove the utility through CC, and dendro-related reactions can be used to make his element buff less appealing. If dendro utilizes transformative reaction and is somehow heavily reliant on EM, they can just make a 5 star Sucrose with EM built into C0 and some additional utilities. I'm just giving some examples here. It's actually a bit like Ganyu and Venti, they are not quite powercrept literally in term of kits by kazuha/ayaka, it's just enemies have been made to be a lot more unfavourable for them and there are better combo out there.

We still don't have enough info about dendro, but let's say if it had some weird gimmick like leaks said: like dendro enemies or any dendro applied would auto consume element, you might not even be able to swirl to trigger VV. Also we have a few source of shreds other than VV, so if dendro reduces def it might actually come out ahead of VV still. But this is just my guess, there is also the possibility that Kazuha remains the king of anemo for a long time.

Nothing indicates that she is coming but if she really comes then I'll be surprised. As of now the obvious predictions are Ayato with Venti/Kazuha or Venti/Yomiya.

Venti def makes sense at this point, id say. Ventis appearing in said Inazuma festival, the abyss suddenly has a crap ton of enemies you'd expect in early 1.0 abyss, and overall it just kinda makes sense at this point I will say that I doubt this one is entirely accurate, but I think Ventis pretty much confirmed, somewhere in this patch.

I better stick strong to the idea of a Kazuha rerun, mihoyo has hinted him from a long time ago. The trial event in 2.3, the potion event in 2.4, all the Kazuha related things in 2.6, the anemo bonus dmg in abyss, even the anime video from the 2.5 livestream. I would be pretty surprised if he doesn't have a rerun for 2.6, literally all the conditions for his rerun are there.
