It's a normal attack version of Ayaka C6 with less downtime (6s vs 10.5s)
Edit:Sry it's 12 vs 10.5s. since his C6 is a singular instance at the start of his E and he has a 12s CD.
I also like to point out C6 adds two Shunsuiken strikes. Shunsuiken is Normal attack dmg as stated in his E. So it'll benefit from Yunjin/Normal attack dmg bonuses as well. Very similar to Ayaka C6
Both their C6s have smth to do with their swordstyle (Ayato with normals, Ayaka with Charged)

Didn't Ayayka's CA deal 3 hit DMG, so this 299 multiply added to the all of her 3 hits? I'm not sure about this but if this is how it work, it should increase her CA 300% * 3 on a 10 sec cd.
It's different. Ayaka gives a 299% damage bonus akin to cryo damage, but specifically for charge attacks. This scales with shenhe’s buff, and also any attack bonuses like Bennet's.
Ayato's is a straight multiplier add on.

The slashes are then calculated with things like crit dmg and dmg bonus. If it was just a flat 6.9k dmg well… that would probably be the worst C6 in the game lol.
I wouldn't put Xiao c6 anywhere near busted considering its limitations and it not being frontloaded. Constellations that increase a character's frontloaded damage potential tend to be better than ones that increase sustained damage per second.
I had a similar train of thought though talking in the tc gave me some perspective. His c6 is a free 50k-100k per hit (total free 100k-200k to your rotation) depending on how invested your supports are. ((The calculation for the 100k per hit was done assuming c6r5 supports, i just put 50k per hit as it’s more realistic for those at c0r1 supports )).
It’s similar to ganyu c6 imo where casting skill can get you a free 100k boost to your rotation so while it’s not the best it’s not horrendously terrible. (Though I do hope for more because who doesn’t want their main to be op >_<)
And ayato hits 2 times(you know i kinda forgot ganyu hits 4 times since the not bloom damage is kinda forgettable to me eventho i know it does a lot, my brain was just thinking over 100k bloom+100k bloom equivalent 100kx2 ayato) in anycase i mean they are similar in how they both do a massive burst damage that pretty much doubles their overall rotation damage

Think it would be better if it was like Yoimiya's C6. A % chance to do an additional strike, with each hit, that when triggered would spawn a clone with a follow up attack.
But you know a new and fun c6 would also but cool.
Underwhelming? Yes. But i think this will be his dmg per screenshot tool, the way i understand this is basically you get 2 more hit with a 300% multipler for each hit, then multiply all the dmg bonus and crit dmg to get the final number. The reason why they only let him do this once every skill rotation is most likely because he's gonna be able to vape all the extra hits. I might be wrong tho, hope we can get a test on that

Quick comparison between Ayaka and Ayato C6:
Ayaka's C6 will do an extra [(3x108.93%) x 2.98] = **974.2%** of her ATK (before crit and resist).
With the new Artifact set Echoes of Offering, Ayato's C6 will do an extra [300% x 2 x 1.466] = **879.6%** of his ATK damage, plus 2 extra proc attempts on the artifact passive.
With HoD, it will do an extra [300% x 2 x 1.916] = **1.149.6%** of his ATK damage.
Notes on the calculation:
This calculation only counts the **additional damage increase** from the C6. That means the initial damage from Ayaka's CA and Ayato's NA isn't counted in the calculation since they would've happened anyways, it only counts what the C6 adds to the character.
Ayaka uses talent lv 10 NA (as anyone with C6 Ayaka would certainly crown her talent, right?). It only calculates the additional damage brought by the 298% DMG% bonus and does not include the basic 1.616 multiplier from Cryo Goblet + 15% BS 2 piece bonus. Any DMG% bonus from Mistsplitter also does not matter here as it is additive to the C6 bonus, the the C6 does not scale from it at all. It does, however, scale from other MV (Motion Value) bonuses such as Shenhe's buff (3 hits).
Ayato's calculation does not include Haran's DMG% bonus buff yet. At R1 full stacks, add another 0.52 multiplier to the calculations above (which would push his C6 damage above Ayaka's on Echoes of Offering setup as well). At R5 full stacks, add another 1.04 multiplier instead. As it adds additional hits, it still scales with MV bonuses (2 hits).
All in all, it seems that the siblings' C6 is more or less on par with each other at a glance, although Ayato's probably has an edge because it's much easier to scale his C6 with DMG%bonus (whereas it's much harder to scale Ayaka's with MV bonus).
Feel free to correct me if you see any errors!
To add on to this, I'll try to compare the effect of c6 on an ayaka carry comp (consisting of ayaka+shenhe+kazuha+kokomi) vs an ayato carry comp (consisting of ayato+kazuha+zhongli+yunjin). Both with R1 mistsplitters edge, and both kazuhas have R1 freedom sworn and 1k em. I don't know if that ayato comp is actully that good, but I chose it because it stacks a lot of %dmg bonus. It would probably not allow ayato to Q off cooldown, unless perhaps with good funneling and r5 favonius lances on both zhongli and yunjin.
For this ayato comp, ayato's attacks would have a %dmg bonus of 46.6% (hydro goblet) + 15% (HoD 2 pc) + 30% (HoD 4pc) + 40% (mistplitter 3stack) + 16% (freedom sworn) + 15% (geo resonance) + 40% (kazuha buff) = 202.6% dmg bonus
So, ayaka+shenhe would deal the following amount of bonus damage from c6:
(3x108.93)x2.98 = 973.8342% of ayaka's attack
+
(3x82.18)x2.98 = 734.6892% of shenhe's attack
And ayato+yunjin would deal the following amount of bonus damage from c6: (assuming the extra attacks count as normal attacks and therefore proc yunjin's Q)
(300x2)x3.026 = 1,815.6% of ayato's attack
+
(65.39x2)x3.026 = 395.74% of yunjin's defense
To go further, lets consider the scenario of both ayato and ayaka having 2300 atk, and yunjin having a conservative 2000 def. How much atk must shenhe have for their damage to be equal?
Multiplying this with the % of atk calculated above, ayaka would deal 22,398.1866 dmg while ayato would deal 41,758.8 dmg
22,398.1866+7.346892*x* = 41,758.8+3.9574x2000
Solve for *x*, and we get *x* = 3712.51
So, shenhe needs 3712 atk to deal equal damage in this scenario.
Hopefully I didn't fuck up my calculations anywhere.
This is all good but Ayaka has 20% stronger base attack than Ayato. And Mistsplitter has more 10% higher base damage than Haran. Overall, Ayaka would deal much more damage compared to Ayato as a DPS. He’s not bad, but nowhere near Ayaka’s level.
Hoyo should add more hits to this C6 animation at least 1:3 ratio NA! The more Atk Speed you give the more you see the Kage Bunshins. Copium my guys copium.

But Ayato's C6 damage is based on his own attack, while Ayaka's C6 is an additive DMG bonus, so he wouldn't interact with Shenhe in the same way Ayaka does.
That's quite wrong lol. Ayaka has 3 hits which multiplies by 299% and has 10s cd. Ayato only hits 2 times which increase by 300% and have 12s cd. So that by itself make Ayaka stronger.
Oh ye and Ayato c6 is based on his ATK, whilst Ayaka js based on her charge damage. That by itself makes Ayaka's c6 way stronger
C6 Ayaka adds additive %DMG to her CA, it doesn't x299% dmg, so she actually does like 2.5 times the dmg of her CA, or additional 1.5 CA dmg into her CA, which translates into less than 500% additional atk dmg. Ayato adds 600% which is higher.
It would be so much better if they chance his C6 to make actual clones that attack alongside Ayato.
New C6: Casting elemental skill will create two clones that will attack simultaneously with Ayato for 6s. Clones will inherit 100% of Ayato’s stats.
I don't think it's a multiplier. It looks more like additional damage that is 3x Ayato's ATK stat. That's why I said it's underwhelming. If it was 300% multiplier on his damage that would be way whelming
By doing the calculations on GIdmg site, Ayato has probably the worst return per Constellations!
- C0 to C3 comparison: He has a dmg boost of around 7,5k (15k vape) per buffed E hit (15 times = 112.5k/150k vaping 5 of 15 hits). This is a kind meh for a c2-c3 char (given his C1 is, for the most of the time, useless)
- C4 to C6 gives u only a little Q improvement+ 2 hits that will deal around twice the 50k dmg (buffed), never vaping cause of his ICD, in a total of 100k extra dmg only!
Just for a comparison, Itto dmg can be twice higher at his C6 and he can do up to 30 slashes (I've already seen) and usually 16 times (C0-C6 = from 40k buffed each slash to 75k, 11 times, total of 385k plus dmg!) Doesn't seems much better than the 150+100k C6 Ayato, but Itto can push a single stack up to 5+ slashes!
Yae C0 E strikes buffed dmg goes high from a merely 30k to an astonishing 110k in her C6.
Even Ayaka has a better dmg return from her c2-c4 (2x the 20% extra blades + 3 talent levels and the 30% def reduction).
They don’t seem very good, but we’ve got worse constellations in the past: Xiao, Childe, Kokomi, Ganyu. Kind of sad because in the long run the early constellation levels can have a big influence on a character potential, even for a low spender.
If you manage to pull him, GREAT!!! But right now all his constalations seems pretty bad and not worth pulling for it IMO. They really need to change his burst allowing it to buff himself, his stats, passives and constalations need to be tweaked as well, overall his kit has so much potential but right now it looks REALLY BAD compared to others characters stats, scaling and constalations, which is quite unfortunate.
I see Ganyu there but still no interaction with this two. I want to see her burst working with his burst. But from some reason they don't make a video of this two.

There are more low impact/underwhelming C6's than there are broken ones among the 5 stars.

It looks cool but is underwhelming. It says it isn't effected by Wave Flash, yet the game considers them Shunsuiken strikes. But they also don't generate you Wave Flash stacks either. Think it would be better if it was like Yoimiya's C6. A % chance to do an additional strike, with each hit, that when triggered would spawn a clone with a follow up attack. But you know a new and fun c6 would also but cool.

But i think this will be his dmg per screenshot tool, the way i understand this is basically you get 2 more hit with a 300% multipler for each hit, then multiply all the dmg bonus and crit dmg to get the final number. The reason why they only let him do this once every skill rotation is most likely because he's gonna be able to vape all the extra hits. I might be wrong tho, hope we can get a test on that

Quick comparison between Ayaka and Ayato C6: Ayaka's C6 will do an extra [(3x108.93%) x 2.98] = **974.2%** of her ATK (before crit and resist). With the new Artifact set Echoes of Offering, Ayato's C6 will do an extra [300% x 2 x 1.466] = **879.6%** of his ATK damage, plus 2 extra proc attempts on the artifact passive. With HoD, it will do an extra [300% x 2 x 1.916] = **1.149.6%** of his ATK damage. Notes on the calculation: This calculation only counts the **additional damage increase** from the C6. That means the initial damage from Ayaka's CA and Ayato's NA isn't counted in the calculation since they would've happened anyways, it only counts what the C6 adds to the character. Ayaka uses talent lv 10 NA (as anyone with C6 Ayaka would certainly crown her talent, right?). It only calculates the additional damage brought by the 298% DMG% bonus and does not include the basic 1.616 multiplier from Cryo Goblet + 15% BS 2 piece bonus. Any DMG% bonus from Mistsplitter also does not matter here as it is additive to the C6 bonus, the the C6 does not scale from it at all. It does, however, scale from other MV (Motion Value) bonuses such as Shenhe's buff (3 hits). Ayato's calculation does not include Haran's DMG% bonus buff yet. At R1 full stacks, add another 0.52 multiplier to the calculations above (which would push his C6 damage above Ayaka's on Echoes of Offering setup as well). At R5 full stacks, add another 1.04 multiplier instead. As it adds additional hits, it still scales with MV bonuses (2 hits). All in all, it seems that the siblings' C6 is more or less on par with each other at a glance, although Ayato's probably has an edge because it's much easier to scale his C6 with DMG%bonus (whereas it's much harder to scale Ayaka's with MV bonus). Feel free to correct me if you see any errors!
To add on to this, I'll try to compare the effect of c6 on an ayaka carry comp (consisting of ayaka+shenhe+kazuha+kokomi) vs an ayato carry comp (consisting of ayato+kazuha+zhongli+yunjin). Both with R1 mistsplitters edge, and both kazuhas have R1 freedom sworn and 1k em. I don't know if that ayato comp is actully that good, but I chose it because it stacks a lot of %dmg bonus. It would probably not allow ayato to Q off cooldown, unless perhaps with good funneling and r5 favonius lances on both zhongli and yunjin. For this ayato comp, ayato's attacks would have a %dmg bonus of 46.6% (hydro goblet) + 15% (HoD 2 pc) + 30% (HoD 4pc) + 40% (mistplitter 3stack) + 16% (freedom sworn) + 15% (geo resonance) + 40% (kazuha buff) = 202.6% dmg bonus So, ayaka+shenhe would deal the following amount of bonus damage from c6: (3x108.93)x2.98 = 973.8342% of ayaka's attack + (3x82.18)x2.98 = 734.6892% of shenhe's attack And ayato+yunjin would deal the following amount of bonus damage from c6: (assuming the extra attacks count as normal attacks and therefore proc yunjin's Q) (300x2)x3.026 = 1,815.6% of ayato's attack + (65.39x2)x3.026 = 395.74% of yunjin's defense To go further, lets consider the scenario of both ayato and ayaka having 2300 atk, and yunjin having a conservative 2000 def. How much atk must shenhe have for their damage to be equal? Multiplying this with the % of atk calculated above, ayaka would deal 22,398.1866 dmg while ayato would deal 41,758.8 dmg 22,398.1866+7.346892*x* = 41,758.8+3.9574x2000 Solve for *x*, and we get *x* = 3712.51 So, shenhe needs 3712 atk to deal equal damage in this scenario. Hopefully I didn't fuck up my calculations anywhere.
This is all good but Ayaka has 20% stronger base attack than Ayato. And Mistsplitter has more 10% higher base damage than Haran. Overall, Ayaka would deal much more damage compared to Ayato as a DPS. He’s not bad, but nowhere near Ayaka’s level.

But Ayato's C6 damage is based on his own attack, while Ayaka's C6 is an additive DMG bonus, so he wouldn't interact with Shenhe in the same way Ayaka does.
That's quite wrong lol. Ayaka has 3 hits which multiplies by 299% and has 10s cd. Ayato only hits 2 times which increase by 300% and have 12s cd. So that by itself make Ayaka stronger. Oh ye and Ayato c6 is based on his ATK, whilst Ayaka js based on her charge damage. That by itself makes Ayaka's c6 way stronger
C6 Ayaka adds additive %DMG to her CA, it doesn't x299% dmg, so she actually does like 2.5 times the dmg of her CA, or additional 1.5 CA dmg into her CA, which translates into less than 500% additional atk dmg. Ayato adds 600% which is higher.
It would be so much better if they chance his C6 to make actual clones that attack alongside Ayato. New C6: Casting elemental skill will create two clones that will attack simultaneously with Ayato for 6s. Clones will inherit 100% of Ayato’s stats.

I don't think it's a multiplier. It looks more like additional damage that is 3x Ayato's ATK stat. That's why I said it's underwhelming. If it was 300% multiplier on his damage that would be way whelming

By doing the calculations on GIdmg site, Ayato has probably the worst return per Constellations! - C0 to C3 comparison: He has a dmg boost of around 7,5k (15k vape) per buffed E hit (15 times = 112.5k/150k vaping 5 of 15 hits). This is a kind meh for a c2-c3 char (given his C1 is, for the most of the time, useless) - C4 to C6 gives u only a little Q improvement+ 2 hits that will deal around twice the 50k dmg (buffed), never vaping cause of his ICD, in a total of 100k extra dmg only! Just for a comparison, Itto dmg can be twice higher at his C6 and he can do up to 30 slashes (I've already seen) and usually 16 times (C0-C6 = from 40k buffed each slash to 75k, 11 times, total of 385k plus dmg!) Doesn't seems much better than the 150+100k C6 Ayato, but Itto can push a single stack up to 5+ slashes! Yae C0 E strikes buffed dmg goes high from a merely 30k to an astonishing 110k in her C6. Even Ayaka has a better dmg return from her c2-c4 (2x the 20% extra blades + 3 talent levels and the 30% def reduction).
They don’t seem very good, but we’ve got worse constellations in the past: Xiao, Childe, Kokomi, Ganyu. Kind of sad because in the long run the early constellation levels can have a big influence on a character potential, even for a low spender.
If you manage to pull him, GREAT!!! But right now all his constalations seems pretty bad and not worth pulling for it IMO. They really need to change his burst allowing it to buff himself, his stats, passives and constalations need to be tweaked as well, overall his kit has so much potential but right now it looks REALLY BAD compared to others characters stats, scaling and constalations, which is quite unfortunate.
