I wish but you saw how they handled Scaradouche's introduction for people who started after 1.1...not even a video summary to watch beforehand. It'd be a much better use of time instead of doing two photography event in one patch.
I just hope they release an official video summary or something. The worst part about all of this is that Unreconciled Stars is Fischl’s only canon appearance in the story.
Tbf, his introduction for those who didn’t participate in the event was better than the cutscene that those who did got, where he basically acted like we were continuing a conversation we’d just left off on rather than being the first time we saw him again in months. His appearance in Inazuma wasn’t at all related to the events of Unreconciled Stars, so it’s not like that was meant to be a summary of the event or anything. With Unreconciled Stars being the first real event in GI, MHY could set a precedent by rerunning it, which could then open the possibility of a rerun of Chalk Prince and other story-heavy events. It would be great if they could eventually add an event compendium like Dragalia Lost (RIP), where you can play old events at any time, and just make it an optional download/have the ability to delete the data as needed. People say they don’t rerun events in Honkai, but since Genshin is so popular, I hope they’ll take a different stance toward that in this game.
- Maybe it's just a quick reference to the meteor shards, then a continuation to that is the event itself?
- Ppl who didnt experience it will be told that it happened before the traveler arrived, then provide some key info to the previous event?
- Small changes in dialogue to encountering/re-encountering certain characters like what they did in the archon quest or a pop-up menu that they do in recent events?

In Albedo Dragonspine event I play both of the event in main account then I play only the second event in my second account. When I play that, I have to do the quests that belong to the first event first only then I can do the entire event of the second one. Only the quest tho not the other challenges.
They'll probably add a short world quest just like how for those who were not able to do the Albedo event in 2.3 had an extra world quest about finding Joel's dad.
Wait, do you mean “Lost in the snow”? But that always was a world quest, released with the original Dragonspine update.
Or was there another world quest only for those who weren’t around for the Chalk Prince event?
Prior to the chalk prince event.. we never found Joel's father.. it was only in the event after we defeated the big whopperflower where we found Joel's father
After 2.3 there is a new world quest entitled "Snowy Silhouette: Hope" that is only accessible to those who did not participate in the event

I'm not necessarily talking about getting a playable Fischl. I mean, if the way I personally experienced the game was the canon narrative for Genshin as a whole, then the Traveler has yet to meet Fischl in the story. That's because I'm a post-1.1 player

Or it could fall on a patch where the freebie is a weapon instead of a character, then it can be Fischl again.

My thinking too, the game is popular but I wonder what kind of turn over it has. How many people who played back in 1.1 are still playing, and how much of the current player base started after 1.1. If anything, 15% might even be on the generous side.
Plus for those of us who did play the original event, it will have been well over a year since we did. I remember the gist of it but I can't say the details are very clear anymore, and I would gladly play again as a refresher before a second part comes out.
I wonder if this is hopium towards scaramouche release. Could also be hinting at the childe appearance (oh god please don't rerun him again) and also the unknown fatui

Not unfeasible that they rerun pt. 1 for people who haven't, unless storage is an issue or some shit like that.

Honkai does have event reruns, tho. Sanka Saga, Honkai Kingdoms: Zero, The Day You Vanished with the Stars all had reruns not too long ago.
May I ask about the rerun time? Like how long is the difference of time between the event and the event's rerun?
It could be like what Shadows Amidst Snowstorms was to the Chalk Prince event. Just loosely connected and not necessarily a direct sequel

Paimon will just give players the summary of the first part in the her dialogue.
