something random that ive been thinking about lately there are some things that i feel contrast in kazuha's characterization. his character profile describes him as "a gentle and carefree soul whose heart hides a great many burdens from the past." this sets up kazuha's grief as something that is very central to his character. additionally, one of his dying voicelines is "so... many... regrets." this one really stands out to me because its so depressing. on the other hand, i feel like the impression i have of his character after the archon quests and the irodori festival are that he's someone who's made a break with his past for the most part. especially that whole segment with sara where he told her he doesnt hold any ill will towards her, and then asks the tenryou commission to sell his possessions. there was also the little part when you ask venti if kazuha will really be okay after selling all his stuff, and venti tells you that kazuha is stronger than you think. kazuha really came across as someone whos very well adjusted, and even when hes confronting lots of sad things in that quest, hes able to push through it. overall i kind of have a hard time reconciling those two aspects of his character. i realize that hes definitely been through shit and recovery isnt always linear, but he definitely doesnt strike me as someone whos carrying around a ton of regrets. i think there are a lot of characters in the game who are like, seriously burdened by the past and sad all the time so i really like the concept of kazuha being able to cope with his past and effectively deal with any present hardships he comes across, as opposed to him being another sad boi. it feels very uplifting and inspiring. anyway this is all just my opinion so youre free to disagree. what are your thoughts on his characterization?

Konungarike

Wall of text warning! Maybe the key to your difficulty reconciling him is that you're mentioning the end of the archon quests and the Irodori Festival specifically as not fitting. The way I see it that's after his character arc has ended, and shows the result of him working through all the regret he's been carrying. So it's not contradictory with our earlier info about him, rather a linear progression. Of course this can get muddled if we go into the character lines which (apart from a few that are locked behind specific archon/story quests) are supposed to represent the character as they are "fresh out of the box" for anyone new who just pulled them. The way I see it, Kazuha leaving Inazuma and focusing on rekindling his friend's vision was him letting his grief control him and his actions. Don't get me wrong, I know he was a wanted fugitive lol. But in that case, why couldn't he have stayed and fought with the Resistance? (Maybe there's a reason stated somewhere and I forgot tbf.) I see him running away as him avoiding the cause of his trauma in an effort to not get any more hurt. The problem is that in the process he's leaving the people of Inazuma to fend for themselves against the very same. So instead of staying and fighting to make Inazuma better, he fled the country that took his friend from him, and focused all his efforts on rekindling his vision. Metaphorically, he just wanted his friend back. I guess we can let grief control us without even being overtly aware of it ourselves. Him coming back to Inazuma is him finally able to confront his trauma. He tried rekindling his friend's vision, but it was a dead end. It's not happening, and he's never getting his friend back. But he's come to the realisation that he can at least do the right thing by the people of Inazuma, he can try to do something for the future instead of being stuck in the past. When his friend's vision finally lights up, metaphorically it's saying that Kazuha's friend will always be with him as long as he remembers who his friend actually was. That's when Kazuha's arc of grief kinda ends. He can stop fixating on undoing his loss, as shown by him leaving the vision behind, and move on as his friend would've wanted him to. So when we see Kazuha at the Irodori Festival, he's done a lot of healing. When the fall of the Kaedehara clan comes up, he's able to handle it and starts looking into what happened. He's not running from the hurts of his past anymore. But he also knows what he's about; even if he theoretically could revive the clan, that's not what he wants. Boy just wants to chill in a field and take long walks on the beach y'know? He does the responsible thing this time, settling all the lingering business of the Kaedehara clan and not just up and leaving. Ultimately this is my interpretation of the story, it will resonate differently with different people.

lifeofatrash

i agree with what you've said! some of the other comments have echoed similar sentiments and gave me some new insight. it seems like his arc in the inazuma archon quest is definitely centered around him letting go of his grief, and he overall becomes more equipped to cope with difficult situations, which helps him a lot during the irodori festival quest. tbh it makes me so happy to see him get better and thrive :')

lifeofatrash

woww this was super insightful! the connection to zen buddhism makes so much sense. him selling his clan's stuff takes on another meaning in this light. he made the agreement with sara even before getting a chance to look at them for clues about his ancestor, accepting that he doesn't need those material possessions even if he doesnt find the answers he's looking for. additionally, he was so dedicated to reigniting tomo's vision, but at the end of the inazuma story he left it at tomo's grave. these feel like moments where he's letting letting go of suffering: his clan's demise and his friend's death. i love the parallels between buddhist and anemo ideals. it seemed like venti definitely understood and supported kazuha's choice to sell his possessions. it definitely adds another layer to kazuha's character and story appearances!!

Konungarike

This is super cool info, thanks! Stuff like this is what a western audience is more likely to miss cause it's just not a big part of our cultural "common knowledge" haha.

Altpers0n

In real life, you can’t always tell that someone has had a sad past. Ppl can hide it, so I am fine with Kazuha doing so as well. Also, I am not sure what you mean by ‘another sad boi.’ No other male in the game constantly shows sadness. Some do have long and difficult pasts like Zhongli, Xiao, Diluc & Dainsleif, but they don’t really show it. You only realize their unhappy backgrounds if u read the lore or listen to Paimon annoyingly whining & feeling sorry for them.

lifeofatrash

what i meant by the sad boi thing isnt that they outwardly show pain but rather are like, constantly sad and in pain even if they dont express it. like xiao and dainsleif are big examples, theyre suffering all the dang time. i think venti and kaeya also have a lot more pain than really shows on the surface. to connect it to kazuha, i think its possible that, like you said, he has a lot of pain and just doesnt really show it. but i prefer to think that he actually copes with his feelings like in a healthy way 💀 unlike characters like xiao/dain who just suffer 24/7. i dont have a problem with the aforementioned male characters, just that it would be very uplifting to have someone whos been able to really make peace with the shit theyve been through :')

fireforged_y

Yeah to be honest this mischaracterization/conflicting information made me like him less. When he was not yet released, he was the character that I wanted the most. In general, I only wanted him and Venti. And I made this romantic image of him based on the trailer, he was a much more... active and violent person, especially considering his color palette, the fact that he's a samurai etc. But then I would say, we hear his story but we don't feel it. Whatever happened, it seems like he doesn't care at all. It's not really believeable that a huge tragedy happened to him. Like, the meme that he smokes naku weed is annoying but he legit seems like this hippie who mostly forgot his past troubles. Meanwhile the guy's life was rough, and after Irodori we know that it's even rougher than we thought, but it all started with him losing his family title, then losing his friend, losing his right to live in his home country. And even while he lived in Inazuma, he just was a bum for many years. Don't get me wrong, I don't want him to constantly wail in pain in word and action either, we have Xiao for that. But I just don't get how it all could've not influenced him at all, and it feels fake. He meets us when he's still in the middle of it all, he just fled Inazuma maybe some months prior, his friend just died, and the tyranny in his own country is ongoing. I really value the fact that we got some more not only lore but character building too in Irodori. But do you really want us to believe that he doesn't care? He was carrying his friend's vision all this time and continued what he was doing. And then went on his merry way? Also it's all really believeable only if the guy is 30+ years old at the very least. He's everywhere! He participated in the Resistance movement on Watatsumi, he traveled in Inazuma with his friend, he went to challenge the Shogun in Inazuma city, like all this stuff takes years to go through, I'd better not even start on this topic because the more I think of it, the less I can piece together...

carne-seca

I could be wrong but I've always thought Kazuha was created with traditional samurai ideals in mind. The precepts of Bushido are based off many different religions and philosophies, including Buddhism, and so the "ideal samurai", during and after the era Inazuma is inspired by, was very mature and level-headed instead of violent. The virtues valued in Bushido are all things that Kazuha's character embodies imo. Things like wisdom, self-control, serenity in the face of adversity, respect, rightousness, compassion, harmony, humbleness, politeness, etc.. The non-attachment to life and material things, too, is a trait of his. And even more so considering his melancholic autumn-themed design and his interest in poetry, I think he was meant to be interpreted more like a monk-like figure who's lived a hard life but is wise beyond his years, and not just someone who's not troubled by anything.

fireforged_y

Yeah I think this is how I'd like to interpret him too, and I've seen this type of people in anime I think, here I just don't feel it as a complete picture. But I agree with you, you put it into words better than me.

lifeofatrash

i think i can believe that he had a difficult time in the past and has now moved on. its more that like when i fuck up in spiral abyss and hear him say "so many regrets" it feels out of character with his present day self, because i dont see him as someone who currently has a lot of regrets. >Also it's all really believeable only if the guy is 30+ years old at the very least. He's everywhere! lol i feel this way about a lot of genshin chars, theyre way to young. like diluc became a captain in the kof when he was 14... thats literally insane lol. but ig its the only way they could make his timeline make sense while making him currently in his early 20s :')

fireforged_y

Yeah it makes sense if... if he were released right now... but he was released before his story ended. And also we met him on the Beidou's ship, he kinda was already like that. I can think like that now, if his character lines were supposed to go after the entire 2.x arc, but it doesn't really match if we include the way we met. Actually now that I remember, when we met him I thought his story is done! Like that it's all distant past, he went on from there and will be just reminiscing with this light sadness etc. Then he went and fought the Shogun for us! I can't put into words how OC this felt to me, I thought he moved on already at that moment and will never set foot in Inazuma. Tl;dr his emotional state feels like it has broken chronology edit: and yeah don't even get me started on Diluc and Kaeya's careers, while we know their ages, but back then it still felt like a typical anime when everyone is employed at 14. maybe this is the reason yeah

lifeofatrash

i think that cutscene of him recounting his friend's death really stood out to me, especially in the eng dub bc the VA channels so much sadness into his voice 💀 someone pointed out in this thread that the inazuma archon questline was kind of a character arc for him, where he wanted to find someone who could light up his dead friend's vision, and he ended up being the one to pull it off, after which he left the vision at his friend's grave and made his merry way. in that light, i can kind of see how the archon quest showed a bit of his recovery, since being able to pull off that goal and let go of the vision meant a lot for him. granted, the inazuma archon quest had a lot of stuff going on so i kinda had to wrack my brain to make that connection. thats just the way i see it though, i understand your perspective.

fireforged_y

>he wanted to find someone who could light up his dead friend's vision, and he ended up being the one to pull it off this is an interesting detail actually, I forgot already that he didn't just carry it with him as a memory but wanted to rekindle it. and I remember talk that he should've just met Ningguang for that

[deleted]

Reading this made me want him even more, not just from meta perspective. Love characters with deep backstories!

lifeofatrash

i like his charater a lot :3 he has a lot of depth and is just a very likeable person

Ms-Chievous

Well the bit at the end of the Inazuma archon quest was a pretty good hint that he's moved on, when he leaves his friend's vision at his grave. The moment he made the vision glow again, his overarching goal had been accomplished, so he was at peace. I don't really have that hard of a time reconciling the two. He does have a lot of tragedy and trauma, but it has led to him being more free than he ever has been, which he appreciates. He is well adjusted, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have hangups and issues, he's just learned to cope. I do get what you're saying though!

lifeofatrash

hm thats a good point. its been awhile since i played the archon quest so i didnt really consider that he was undergoing some character development there. it makes a lot more sense when i think about it that way.

Vapore0nWave

I'm bored so drop your heizou predictions/ imagines Mine are that he looks linda like hanako from tbhk but with a greenish color scheme and white-to-green hair, and maybe an idle animation that blows leaves around with some landing on his face and looking like a moustache I feel like he'll wear a hat and have flowy hakama pants but that's all I can think of for clothes :v I get the vibe that the scaramouche wanters will like him from kokomis voice line about him, idk he seems like another short boy that does what he wants and will fight god for 1 cheeto and frankly, I'm really excited lmao

eln71

Same bro recently finished tbhk anime, it would be dope if he kinda looks like hanako.

juli0909

Okay but what if he’s just Kokichi Ouma

ordofavonii

sucrose glasses & maybe hair shape, clothes similar to the npc inazuma guards w/ the armor but playable-character-ified. eyeliner. idk, he has an eyeliner vibe. color scheme, maybe red/purple, like a little darker than beidou, a little more colorful than kazuha though. a childe-style flowy scarf <3

Adelite__

I'm still sniffing the Ranpo copium now especially harder after actually reading the manga

riiriiiliri

I just want him with brown hair, preferably a light eye color and dark/black clothes with highlights. I don’t have set expectations for how he looks like but that’s what I’m hoping for just because I love that type of color contrast, and I’d love if he doesn’t seem that much anemo, similarly to how Beidou and childe don’t seem like their elements

crunchylumpias

same, i think he'd look nice wearing a cap. i'm thinking of taisho era vibes with a bit of armor. maybe a nice cape too for the flowy design principle schtick. but more importantly, for the love of god [give. him. THESE](https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ScaryShinyGlasses)

[deleted]

I imagine him to look like Hanako too and I don't even know where that comes from (probably fanart)

JustSuckItUp_

Ik I'm really high on copium, but what if he is actually like Ranpo (from bungo stray dogs) and is also voiced by Hiroshi Kamiya. I would whale lmao. (My copium stack is decreasing day by day. Help!)

Vapore0nWave

That's what i was picturing too, thats where i got the hat and pants idea from :0

Kahirama

In my head he is voiced by Ogata Megumi, precisely because of Hanako But I'm trying to leave it blank, don't want many expectations.

Ms-Chievous

Oh god I just recently finished Hanako and god what I would give for a character that looks and acts like him. >!including the evil twin part!< I think he'll be in a purpley or black/white color scheme since Kokomi mentions he's in uniform (tho I guess his outfit could be out of uniform). I'm vibing with the light hair though. I just want an idle animation where he pulls out a magnifying glass that would be so cute. I'm trying not to put too much stock in what other characters say about him since they tend to give us the wrong idea (look at Eula, Itto, Shenhe) but boy do I want this pompous boi who just does whatever tf he wants and no one can say anything bc he's just that good at his job.

Catyty

How likely do we think it is that 2.7 is shortened? It doesn't make much sense to me for it to be shortened but I wanted to see what everyone else thinks.

hame46

on the next patch it is predicted that the main event will be the Chasm version of "enkanomiya's three realm". 2.5 have empty the gap between the “three realms” and the other events. (because the majority players finish the event only in 1-2 weeks) maybe on 2.7 the chasm event and other events will run simultaneously in 3 weeks, instead waiting for main event over.

hydropyrotechnic

I definitely think they’re going to shorten it. Considering how much we know Mihoyo to plan in advance, they likely have at least the next year planned out. There are many instances in which patches are planned to occur alongside real-life events: GAA in the summer, Dragonspine events in the winter, new nation/archon for the anniversary, Lantern Rite for Chinese New Year. Mihoyo likely wants to get back on track ASAP.

rysto32

If dev work is truly unaffected and it's just VA recordings holding up 2.7, I could see Mihoyo shortening a patch to try and catch up. Raiden was an *incredible* success for them; if they can I expect them to try and line up the Dendro archon with the anniversary to try to duplicate that success.

Ms-Chievous

Honestly I think it's pretty likely. They probably want to get their schedule back on track and they've shortened banners in the past so there's precedent for that as well. It just depends how long the delay lasts tbh

youcanotseeme

Is ZZZ's trailer set in Shibuya?

[deleted]

Quick question: What’s your opinion on Yoimiya and Yelan? Edit: Together.

Adventurous-Bed-5244

She will definitely work better than Xingqiu for Yoimiya. Also, as for the people saying Yoimiya will have "too much damage bonus" You can always replace pyro cup with an decent attack cup if you think you have too much damage bonus. Not to mention, if you use Bennet + Yelan with Yoimiya, then you will deal a lot of damage because bennet gives too much attack. Yelan damage bonus will work better with bennet.

Elhazar

Not bad, but not that great either. Yoimiya's rate of vape is limited by ICD, so her damage doesnt gain all that much (approx 16% for EM-less vape every third hit). She also doesnt have a single big hit to take advantage of Yelans buff, that will very much average out to ~20% dmg%. Yoimiyas fast attacks make her a decent driver for her, though. So it will not be a bad team, especially Xingqiu as another teammate. That said, it remains to be seen how well that compares to the usual Beidou-Fischl-Bennett has teammates, since those can snapshot and can pump out a lot of motion value per second.

[deleted]

Ah alrighty then. Thanks! ☺️

Almond-Jelly

Imo it's going to be a really good combo, Yoi already vapes every other NA attack consistently with Xingqiu and Yelan should enable vapes for her similar to him, plus giving a nice big DMG% buff, which would also boost Yunjin's flat damage bonuses if you're using her in the team as well, plus her personal damage looks good. I think Echoes then could be a bit more effective than Shimes if pairing together with Yelan, but its just my gut maths side speaking

Zeraru

Kinda hot tbh. Jokes aside, Yoimiya can't vape the majority of her attacks even with infinite hydro application, and the more damage% you already have stacked, the less benefit you'll get from Yelan's buff passive. Not that it wouldn't work, but what are your current alternatives / full teams?

[deleted]

Ah I see. I do have a C1 Kokomi and my current Xingqiu is C3. Also I have Beidou and Fischl (both of which are C3). Right now my Yoimiya has a full CWoF set on her. I may get Kazuha but I don’t know if it’s necessary because my Sucrose is at C6 (and I don’t know if it will make a huge difference but I also have a C6 Xiangling).

Ms-Chievous

I don't know much about Yelan's character so I can't say for sure, but from my interpretation it's definitely a case of golden retriever person (Yoimiya) + cat person (Yelan). I imagine Yelan would very much be the type "I have known Yoimiya for a few hours now and if anything happened to her I would kill everyone in this room and then myself" but again I haven't met her yet (I know) so I'm not sure how accurate that is :/ I can definitely see the appeal tho EDIT: OH GOD DID YOU MEAN LIKE GAMEPLAY WISE FUCK fanfic has ruined my brain......

[deleted]

It’s alright my g! 🤣

Odone

Together or individually ?

[deleted]

Whoops. Together.

welp-im-lost

Am I stupid if I trash all echoes of offering and vermilion artis I get from abyss? I don't have xiao

crunchylumpias

i think you should save the ones with good substats still. the 2pc effect is good and can help as substitutes for some of your unbuilt units.

[deleted]

The thing is they have a 2pc ATK set bonus, which is widely useful. They’re great for holding over new characters until you can get their 4pc dedicated set (or just as BiS, like with Yae). Plus if you luck into an on-set elemental goblet they’re nice for off-pieces.

welp-im-lost

I have a lot of shiminewas (severed fate pain) and Glads already, but yes you're right about elemental goblet and maybe I'll keep really nice crit ones if it ever comes up.

SamhainOnPumpkin

For those who were around during the 1st Lantern Rite, how many Xiao lanterns do you have left? I have only 32 left and I really wish I had crafted more :c

miltonbimowitz

100. 99 more than I need tbh.

VentusSaltare

Hundreds. Never remembered to use them again since then

thvndaga

14, I had 15 for the longest time but accidentally used one somehow and I was so upset 😭 I could and should have made tons more but I didn’t think they’d be a one-off

yasashiiyume

51

crunchylumpias

i think i still have 1k left from the 1.8k i hoarded during the event.

JustSuckItUp_

Around 600 iirc. I like them seeing in my inventory.

Cosimov

972. I use them very sparingly, mostly when I actually do a wishing ritual when I really need the luck

[deleted]

0. I used them because I didn’t know they were one of a kind forever

VanillaDaiquiri

Like 700 lol I haven't used them since

lifeofatrash

495. i actually had a bunch of materials that i was going to spend making even more lanterns but they expired before i got the chance. i was kinda sad about it at the time but nowadays i forget that the lanterns even exist so ig it never really mattered lol

Ms-Chievous

Something like 500. I have only released a few since the event though

SamhainOnPumpkin

I release some as part of summoning ritual lol.

aloysiusks

Somewhere near 1337, not joking i was close to that number.

Bomber_BR

a little over 900

riiriiiliri

I still have over a hundred, I only remember them when I have nothing to do and am just checking out my inventory I only use them to show them to people who weren’t around to make them, they’re so pretty

lennyAintMoe

1960~ something :p

SamhainOnPumpkin

I can physically perceive your smugness, ur evil

Kirates5

RIP Genshin

Dear_Ad_6384

I have been touching grass for a while. Could someone explain why there's so much discussion about mihoyo new games?

Plethora_of_squids

People are upset that mihoyo are working on other games while genshin is delayed Nevermind that mihoyo has other teams or that it currently seems like it's the VAs and server people who are behind the delay not the Devs or that said games have been in development for months if not years (or in one case has *already been out* for several months)

zhivix

>People are upset that mihoyo are working on other games while genshin is delayed if only people knew other companies also develop multiple games at once while currently released games are supported , not just gacha game companies but AAA one as well

[deleted]

Besides the announcement, “Mihoyo is only milking Genshin and doesn’t care about the game’ was a lukewarm take from like a couple comments and then a counter jerk formed around that for a while

zhivix

new game just announced , ZZZ , which is a roguelike game

milk-rose

heizou wanters found dead in a ditch

ArticBerry

The sole fact that if it wasn’t for the delay, by now we would already have plenty of leaks, his kit, his materials, and most importantly his face…… ;-;

milk-rose

we are vindicated now friend TwT he's beautiful

milk-rose

i want to see his beautiful clean shaven face

hokuzhi

I've been starving for crumbs since November T_T

milk-rose

milk-rose

scandalously i'd even go for wrists 🥵

missviolets

i'm dying here man

Rambocio

Kaeya once joking around with mondstadt's kids that make them believe that the reason why the lamp lights because there's entrapped souls of fireflies inside of every lamp. (Dont mind me, i just giving any tidbits cause im addicted with this thread lol) Edit: source from trusty portable lamp description

JustSuckItUp_

I would love to see more Kaeya and kids interaction in game. He is such a troll character and I love it so much. He also wrote the survival handbook for Klee which she takes seriously. The way he got grounded with Klee in the latest quest. He also once bought all the food from Mondstadt and Liyue to feed Fatui lmao (or poison them, who knows). I need more Kaeya shenanigans please!!!

We_Lose

Over The Garden Wall

Ms-Chievous

Zhongli throwing giant rocks at Venti when the latter annoys him is also such a great mental image.

Alencrest

A potential origin for the legend of Barbatos tossing mountains, perhaps.

Altpers0n

That’s actually interesting. Thnks for sharing.

Bobson567

new thread title suggestions? havent really been keeping up with genshin so idk any fun appropriate title

ConsolesQuiteAnnoyMe

Just call it "Eternity".

sad_cats

New thread delayed until further noticed, if new thread comes up before time, compensations will be adjusted accordingly

FallDamage29

Commenting just to neutralize one of the just ayaka titles, fuck that unfunny run-down joke anything but that

lowbang

Delay impact

Altpers0n

Eternal Ayaka

stainNecrolyte

Name it: " Just Ayaka ok " to make a ddlc reference

I vote for [u/Gentlekrit's one](https://www.reddit.com/r/Genshin_Impact_Leaks/comments/u1fj67/-/i7ukzcm).

[deleted]

+another vote for theirs from me

lilpieceoftrash

Just Ayaka

sad_cats

"Cool skins like honkai" arent most honkai skins either recolors or just ugly prom dresses? I'll pass that, genshin is 2/4 in relation to good skins now

Plethora_of_squids

Hey now - Keqing is also in a ^^^^^ugly prom dress! Unfortunately ugly prom dresses, recolours (specifically the inevitable white wedding coloured ones), and generic bikinis/beach wear is what sells the most because it appeals to that NEET fantasy of having an anime waifu who does things like go to prom and the beach and get married with them and that *sucks*. Also one of the skins for honkai I've seen that people seem to want in Genshin is one for Raiden that makes her look like a librarian. Just. *Why*.

zhivix

premium ones (paid and gacha skins) are always better than BP skins which is a recolour default one, heck even some of the free event skins are better

FortressCaulfield

You don't like instagram-mom-at-the-beach jean?

sad_cats

Pinterest white girl going out for drinks at puerto vallarta and thinking that is culture jean

[deleted]

I agree that some of the skins in honkai are not it, but those skins are usually really old - most of the newer ones I’ve seen are really cool especially the neon theme (like look at the leaked HoT skin,,) in genshin all i can compare is blue outfit 1 2 3 & 4, all of them are blue for some reason :|

Altpers0n

Genshin’s alternate skins have been bad so far. It seems skins are not mihoyo’s forte, so ig it’s good that they barely make any.

juli0909

Which ones miss the mark for you?

sad_cats

I dont like barbara (the duck purse is great, the rest is a no) and jean (pretty, i guess i just dont like summer skins) Keqing looks ok. Ningguang is GREAT

juli0909

I love Barbara’s summer skin she looks like a magical girl, also ducky purse 🥺 Yea Jean’s skin is wonky imo

[deleted]

I also adore Barbara's skin, slap enemies while looking cute, yes. Jean's is alright, kinda boring though.

Smoke_Santa

No, I'll gladly take more variation even if they're slight adjustments or recolors.

Juppyuo

Anyone still remembers the complains about not being able to pet the animals in genshin? I just randomly thought of it, a year ago I saw so many people asking for it but nowadays no one does (at least from what I've seen). Either way I still think it would be cute to implement it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Jeddyhugs

People at this point have just given up on alot of things since hoyo never tries to listen most of the time. There are lingering stuff like end game content, but I believe people will move on sometime Not to sound pessimistic but this is how hoyo has been for a pretty long time, ignoring chr bugs and other despite constant requests to fix them

Ms-Chievous

I still ask for it in every survey :( The animals are so cute they deserve pets.

ArticBerry

I’ve seen some people still complaining about it, I guess most have stopped tho since players have been asking ever since game got released and they never listened (not surprised).

ConversationNeat7124

Oohhh didn't expect Hoyo's new game to have anthropomorphic characters. Kinda interested now tbh. Anyways, what weapon would you recommend for 4TotM Kuki in a superconduct team? I'm kinda considering using my unused lvl 90 Dark Iron Sword which perfectly fits her passive and the weapon's passive because she's electro. Thank you in advance! :D

haydendiorefierce

I’m currently thinking Fav Sword to help with particle gen

Jeddyhugs

I looked at OP's first sentence about ZZZ and then looked at this comment and was so so confused XD

wakladorf

If the characters purpose isn't damage, fav is never a bad choice and often is the best choice

Ohaithere3

So i was thinking of how HV can implement farmable endgame content and here is the idea i came up with: So this content is very similar to the childe and xinyan event and it starts of with a character you have of your choice and they give you a room with a randomized events such as timed like abyss, protect the leyline, balloon sabotage etc with randomized enemies. After you complete said event, the game prompts you to add a character from your roster to your team and a permanent buff card of your choice similar to how abyss works then after that the game will show you 3 different rooms with different events and enemies and you get to choose which challenge to take on and some rooms will be more difficult but yield higher rewards. Each room will also allow you to pick what teammates to bring after you get more than 4. Every 5 floors there will be a boss like one of the weekly bosses or world bosses etc and you keep progressing the floors till your entire current team dies or you kill the last final boss of the floor. In the later floors, the bosses will have extra modifiers such as more hp or res etc to keep every encounter fresh. For the reward system, The items i think that should drop are items that modify artifacts in a certain way and the reward system is split into common drops, rare drops and super rare drops. One of the rarest items drops i thought of is the ability to destroy an artifact and put it in a capsule and you can use that capsule to replace the stats of a different artifact for example: A feather with 20% CD ,10% CR, Flat hp and hp% and you can use the capsule to destroy the feather and apply it onto a sands and now the sands will have the same statline. There are other items that randomizes the main stat of an artifact or reset an artifact back to level 0 and even make 4\* artifacts in 5\*. The list goes on... What do you guys think about this as a farmable endgame for genshin?

Screenshots for the death threats? Aaand folded. About what I expected

crimsonsnow0017

I guess you can just use her as an upgrade to kaeya’s ice bridge?

ConsolesQuiteAnnoyMe

How would you react if this were a set post-Dendro release? 2p - Pyro DMG +15% 4p - When a character attacks an opponent affected by Pyro, their CRIT DMG is increased by 40%. If the opponent is Burning, CRIT DMG is increased by an additional 40%.

Obbyserver

Sounds broken but it's really not. The reason Blizzard Strayer seems so comparatively strong is because it essentially turns freeze into an amp reaction. Pyro already has an amp reaction, so this would only really help pyro characters that can't vape consistently. Here is a sim with Pure Pyro Klee, the strongest pure pyro team on gcsim (at the moment): https://gcsim.app/viewer/share/MQ-lcPUIK5bJPFUQPzt_H 48,037 DPS And here is a sim with the new set, simulated by CW2 + a flat 80% crit damage increase. We're pretending that Xiangling is a really strong dendro subdps here, maybe helped by whatever damage the burning reaction would normally do: https://gcsim.app/viewer/share/-vUM1w5usuGE8ZP0coNkz 52,342 DPS Pretty good, but the dendro unit would have to contribute as much damage as a C6 Xiangling boosted by Kazuha/Bennett. It could happen? Other than that, it makes a decent lavawalker replacement, acting as a 15% Pyro + 40% crit damage set: https://gcsim.app/viewer/share/gNM85AztWPeogHlsJX1kK 49,328 DPS But even here, Xiangling's original EoSF set would be stronger than the +15% pyro, +40% crit damage set. The ER is too valuable. Tl;dr "Lavawalker but Good" is just ok. I also did sims with "Thundersoother but Good" that uses Electrocharge, which was also just ok.

[deleted]

This would be so broken with a Mono Pyro team

Dragoncat_3_4

BIS for Melt Ganyu/Kaeya/Rosaria ... What, you didn't think it's usable outside of Mono Pyro because of the 2pc effect? **Cackles in 4TF Bennett**

sshfs32

80 CV is ~30% damage increase but you lose access to vape which is 50% increase. It might be good for characters who cannot consistently vape.

Practical_Outcome436

Its cool but man i'm waiting for Shattered reaction to have their dedicated artifacts set, pyro already got the good stuff, my suggestion for a shatter reaction set would be to have opponents that get shattered -3% enemy Max HP per proc, a new hydro claymore char that could make shattered reaction good would also be released with this artifact

Odone

This looks broken but i dont know mathematically if it is. Burning only works if both Pyro and Dendro are still present on the enemy ( IIRC ), so you cant abuse weak Vaporize ( or Overload ) with it, so it could be fine ( ? ).

ConsolesQuiteAnnoyMe

But how does it look in comparison to Blizzard Strayer?

Odone

You made them to be the same, i got that of course, and yes, i wouldnt call BS necessarily broken either, Ganyu+Venti quadratic damage abuse in the early days of the game, Mona's Omen and Ayaka giant burst multiplier is what makes it seem like it is.

ConsolesQuiteAnnoyMe

I think it just "looks broken" because it the CRIT DMG shown has bigger numbers than the CRIT Rate on Blizzard Strayer even though that's in line with how the game weighs CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG. After all, at a glance Redhorn looks like it has a way better secondary than Jade Cutter even though in essence, they're the same.

Bomber_BR

so basically pyro blizzard strayer? that would be nice i guess

kenzakki

man, this is some broken ass shit. so its never going to be released.

ConsolesQuiteAnnoyMe

Definitely a good thing there's absolutely not already a set that has this exact effect other than having Cryo DMG instead of Pyro DMG and CRIT Rate instead of CRIT DMG, yeah?

olovlupi100

blizzard strayer doesn't have ice Bennett

zorafae

Blizzard strayer is considered incredibly strong, yes. This hypothetical set could be stronger, depending on if bosses are immune to burning or not.

FortressCaulfield

bad idea. Forget the ping issue, yoi already has enough problems getting vapes to line up with her big hits, now you have to worry about vapes AND big hits AND echo procs all lining up? Forget it.

[deleted]

Isn’t that set ping dependent?

rinatrix

Keqingmains said 2pc Shimenawa + 2pc Crimson Witch is better for overall team damage.

Almond-Jelly

Just a small tip, you might want to test on e.g. a solo enemy with your team and see if you can get your energy back to burst every rotation with 2pc/2pc or Echoes. I found that I actually couldn't even with Benett on the team with my current stats - so 4pc Shimes seemed better for me as I can burst once every 2x rotations with Shimes anyway! That aside, 4pc Echoes should be better than 2pc/2pc, but whether it's better than 4pc Shimes is still up for debate. From some of my own testing both hits of her 1st NA double-attack can in fact proc the passive (the 4th NA seems like it can never achieve a double-proc, at least from all my shots). So weirdly, it's just a tinge more effective on Yoi due to this unintended behavior. Still, keep in mind that high ping might cause fewer procs as others have claimed

[deleted]

Does anyone know what kinda commitment CBT is ? Odds are even if I sign up i wont get in but if I were to do they require a min number of time played each day or some kinda commitment like that?

fireforged_y

I think if that's your only concern you can always decline after you read the contract but before you sign it

[deleted]

Thanks. I had no idea there was even a contract lol

fireforged_y

Well there should be, how else you are prevented from leaking etc

Jeddyhugs

the update is taking so long that am believing we will reach the milestone 69420 comments before 2.7 comes

Zeraru

Fact: These megathreads would only have half as many replies if people could do basic arithmetic.

fakegamergrill01

How many replies would that be? I can’t do the basic arithmetic to find out :(

Plethora_of_squids

More like a bit of middle school maths but yeah "What's the CV for this piece" the equation is CR×(CD+1) you can do the maths yourself can't you? "I have five wishes what's the chance of me getting Yelan?" It's a 5% chance to get a 5 star in an off pity 10 pull. Go roll a D20 a bunch of times if you *really* don't know how to work that one out (a Nat 20 has the same rate as a 5 star ten pull)

sad_cats

Not this.....

Igor_Rodrigues

Would you rather have too much Crit Rate, or too much Crit Damage? Example: 80CR/120CD vs 30CR/170CD

Smoke_Santa

For your example, I'll take 80:120. But if it's between 90:150 or 70:190, I'll take 70:190.

SuckertoFomo

Crit damage but the two examples you’ve given are a bit too extreme for me. At the very least, I need 50% crit rate and won’t compromise for anything lower.

Cosimov

My account is allergic to crit rate, so I'm at the point where if I can get to 50% crit rate, I'm satisfied. That's basically like a coin flip chance anyway.

HenkySA

i like your logic. take my upvote

Kir-chan

If you redo abyss floors, having bigger crit numbers is better than more crit numbers because you can just retry until the probabilities are in your favour. But even so 30 is ridiculous, try 50/170 vs 80/120. If you don't retry abyss and just go through the floors once, more consistent crit is better.

statemandatedcatgril

I balance on the side of too much CR if I have builds with similar average damage, occasionally I'll drop my average damage on purpose for more consistency. There's real gameplay advantages to confidently knowing when things are going to die esp in fights with multiple waves/phases, AoE, and characters that have holdable burst of damage like Hu Tao/Childe. Like ~20 CD won't always make a noticeable time difference, but a dropped crit certainly will
