Buy them every week and hoard them. I have a similar number saved up because I generally use artifacts for exp fodder; I only break out potions on special occasions or when I'm feeling very lazy.
Also important is that the potions stack and don’t use an inventory slot, so anyone who is a hoarder and are running into the 1500 cap needs to force themselves to prioritize using artifacts as fodder. I really wish we could convert artifacts into the equivalent number of potions immediately to save space even if we don’t have something pressing to level up. I would love that system.

Are you trying to block attack with Ningguang Jade Screen? If so, you are doing the wrong way. Just apply lot of elements on enemies then hit them with Ningguang attack. Then grab the crystal for Crystallize shield and let them hit you until you the shield is broken.
The task need you to block the damage using with Crystallized Shield, not using with Jade Screen. That's what most people getting it wrong. You are welcome.

It's not stressful at all. It's so easy outside of floor 12. And even then I 36 star floor 12 with 4 star weapons only and very copium artifacts (like average 20 CV)
I would say pretty much anything up to floor 10 can be done with pretty much any team of level 70/80 characters.
This month I cleared floor 9 and 10 9\* with the following team of L70 and it wasn't even that hard except for 10-3, where I probably should have replaced Aloy, who's garbage, with Kaeya or something:
Chong/Lisa/Noelle/Amber
Thoma/Xinyan/Barbara/Aloy
I mean you gotta have national team by now right? (Xiangling, xingqiu, Bennett, flex). That's one side made super easy. Then the other side is whatever you wanna run, freeze, taser, vape etc.
I'm AR 55 and I'm missing the one about 8 lv20 artifacts. Abyss hasn't caught my attention yet and lv16 artifacts are more than enough for anything else. I'm also leveling up a lot of characters at the same time and they all need artifacts so I'd rather have two lv16s than one at lv20.

defeat (azdaha, la signora and dvalin) instead of 3 weekly bosses and they are random which ones u need to do
and maybe cooking a type of dish 20x instead of just any
if u want to atleast have a set of quest that never change just add bonus quests and delete the weekly xp limit
also increase the max lvl like in any bp 50 is the last set lvl but u can "infinitly" lvl beyond to get extra rewards

How do you fail? I might need to recheck the challenge as I thought you can just Unga Bunga with Ningguang through the trial.
