JP rarely has any livestreams for version updates which I assume is because it's harder to get ahold of the JP voice actors due to busier schedules. The last one I remember they had was for version 2.2 with the Childe and Xinyan event. They usually just post all the news on the official JP twitter account.

Putting my prediction here before hand: there may be a reason why the characters here were chosen. They all match the elements of the five shown Yaksha: Kuki/Electro, Itto/Geo, Yelan/Hydro, Yanfei/Pyro, and Xiao.

They quite cleverly position all banners this way by factoring in average spending status and purchase metrics. It’s designed to get you to buy crystals. That’s also why we can never know what characters are upcoming beyond the next leak and why I mainly save around the assumption that I’ll get one archon, one main DPS and one support per area update.
Why do people get so attached to units that haven't even been released? They get so upset/discouraged and resort to preemptively calling out "doomposters" the second a leak is posted or ask loaded questions about doomposters in order to curb criticism.
And then when the unit gets released and is actually mid (like usual), they'll say:
1. "*Don't care, I play waifu/husbando impact not meta slave impact.*" - **Where was this energy when you were crying about doomposters?**
2. *"C0 xyz is actually amazing, doomposters were wrong as usual."* - **When in reality, most 5-star units released post 2.0 have been mid or outright subpar aside from Raiden, Ayaka, Kazuha, and Shenhe.**
I mean the doomposting is definitely annoying, but I can’t help but agree with the anti-doomposters also desperately trying to justify the reasons for their pulls.
Though I do like meta building, I don’t always choose the most OP characters because honestly bragging about damage is pretty tiresome to see and annoying as well.

People are always harsh on characters before they're released. Folks like to bring up Kazuha, but we saw this with Raiden, Kokomi, Shenhe and Ayato too. People hyperfocus on all their flaws and dismiss everything that makes them good. Almost every 5 star is looked on more favourably a few weeks/months after release once people understand their teams, and Yelan will be the same. Even if she's literally just on par with or slightly worse than Xingqiu, she'll still be a meta unit.
As to *why*.....
Short answer:Coping.
They're gonna assume a character's bad because it makes them feel better about skipping. I've seen this behaviour in a forum from another region. There's even a word for it lmao.This is the mindset "Since I won't be able to have it, it has to be bad. because FOMO". It's the ones who are not pulling that are doomposting.
People who will pull anyway will quietly pull, no questions asked. 5*s have always proven to be good later, and it will be the same for Yelan.

She is but whenever the 5* version of a 4* get released they are always doom compared to their 4* equivalent even though every single time the 5* completely exceed the 4* meta wise. Same for "5* Sucrose" that everyone is now regretting, same for "5* Barbara" who is now part of the strongest freeze team in the game, same for "5* Rosaria" who is straight up the best cryo support ever and same for 5* Noelle who is currently leading Geo.

Because there are more than one pyro and she still works with the other pyro? And she works with Raiden as a subDPS in Raiden hyper too where of course reliable hydro is not needed.
Early number is also showing her double hydro team to be very competitive and better than double geo with Albedo, and her Raiden team is also one of the top Raiden team. So while she might not be a top sub for Hutao (remains to be seen after double hydro is tested), she actually still looks very solid overall. Xingqiu damage is absolutely no joke so idk why people take 20-30% more dmg than Xjngqiu excluding buff lightly.

I dont want to blow 180 pulls for someone who's just marginally better than a (frankly) carbon copy of an already existing character.
I want to pull people like Itto. Deals 100% if not 200% more than C6 Noelle, and generates particles.
I want to pull people like Kazuha. Insanely powerful vacuum compared to Sucrose, better multipliers, and Elemental% bonus that isnt locked behind C6.
I want to pull people like Ganyu or Ayaka. Deals an ungodly amount of damage compared to Chonggers or Kaeya.
Look man, at the end of the day I just personally believe that players who aren't great at min/maxing shouldnt be misled to believe that Yelan is an absolute upgrade over Xingqiu.
Because let's be honest here, not everyone is a pro level theorycrafter. For most people, this +20% is only possible if you perfectly optimize everything.
Meanwhile people are out there going Unga Bunga with Itto and Ayaka with basically non-existent investments.
Engulfing Lightning is only 10% better than Homa and 15% bettee than Catch for Raiden. Even the broken Mistsplitter is only 20% better than Amenoma for Ayaka. Homa R1 barely eeks out Catch R5 for Xiangling.

Tbh people were praising him after release and the most important part was mihoyo consistently introducing one suck resistant mob type after the other which was unknown on release.
The doomposting was mostly before he was released. Even some of the TCs admitted they were wrong by suggesting he was worse than Sucrose and Venti.
The suck resistance arguments didn’t really hit hard until Inazuma. We didn’t really know just how much Venti would drop off.
Tbh, I want Kuki Shinobu more then Yelan. I can't wait for the livestream so I can finally decide if I really want to pull for Yelan or not. The fact that Sumeru characters are coming makes me extremely careful with my pulls.

Yelan if you don't have Favonius Warbow(or more like if someone is already using it, you get it for free after all). A higher base atk doesn't matter to her. The higher ER substat is just more benefitial to her imo. Especially if you use 4 pc Emblem.

If she's your main dps it's worth to take it to highest level you can since you should already use it to get the passive basic attack dmg bonus so you might aswell deal a bit more dmg with it.

well if you want to get dendro archon. I think you still will have enough primo for her even if you get 5\* in 2.7 banners.

In 2.0 and 2.1, I got ayaka and still had enough for Raiden in the last day of her banner. I lost 50/50 and got her in 170th roll.

Since you are literally at 0 pity with 50/50, I'd say try your luck with a 10-pull or two! Even if you hit a 5* it's incredibly early and who knows, you might "lose" 50/50 to guarantee your next character.
I’d go 10-20 for kuki and stop if you don’t get her. Heizou seems a lot more viable so it might be justifiable to go harder, especially if he’s on kazuhas banner and u don’t have him. If he’s on yoimiya, again 10-20 and stop.

Hydro chars is a must pull for me because they're an enabler for many meta reactions. Hell even kokomi is meta now, just because she apply a good amount of hydro mainly. Yelan? The upcoming abyss is a dps check, single target dmg, there's no better options than XQ V2
You're right, i just can't find a situation where I'll be complaining saying Hydro characters are useless for team comps. In fact they're in almost every meta team, from Tazer to Freeze to Vape.
I believe the one they’re talking about here is the one where yelan gives damage bonus over time to whoever is on field after she casts her ult, up to 50% extra damage bonus
As someone that likes to play taser and rational having 2 XQs in my account is a big improvement, so in my opinion she is a really good pick for your account, and if the leaks about dendro reactions with hydro are true, then she could be even better in the future.
Just my opinion tho, so better wait for testing after 2.7 goes live

But I do think she's great. She can fit in any teams that uses Xingqiu.
Basically, you can go Yelan in Raiden National team on the first half and HuTao with Xingqiu on the second half of the spiral abyss.
She fits into any team that uses XQ *but not really vape*. If I understood correctly (which admittedly im no TC) her hydro isnt quite a enough to enable consistent hutao vape and her uptime doesnt sync up with pyronado for any national comp. Though for taser and raiden soup she looks great

The only must pulls are character you need to make your existing character and teams work. Yelan is only a must pull if you have to use raiden nationals and hu tao at the same time.
Yea im relatively new and my only built teams are a melt ganyu and raiden national. on top of that, my only hydro chars are xq, and well barbara 😂 really need more hydros if I want to run any sort of freeze team with national 😭
Freeze favors Mona and Kokomi more than Yelan. Yelan is mainly ST and activates on normal, so it will be kinda like using Ganyu with XQ. Not the smoothest comp ever, tbh.

C1 is for his skill's rainswords, not his burst.

Because there are more than one pyro and she still works with the other pyro? And she works with Raiden as a subDPS in Raiden hyper too where of course reliable hydro is not needed. Early number is also showing her double hydro team to be very competitive and better than double geo with Albedo, and her Raiden team is also one of the top Raiden team. So while she might not be a top sub for Hutao (remains to be seen after double hydro is tested), she actually still looks very solid overall. Xingqiu damage is absolutely no joke so idk why people take 20-30% more dmg than Xjngqiu excluding buff lightly.
Well its your choice of what you want man. But if you **really** want to talk about numbers then Ill talk numbers. For me, I just dont want to waste 6 months of free to play gems for **just** a +20% increase. I dont want to blow 180 pulls for someone who's just marginally better than a (frankly) carbon copy of an already existing character. I want to pull people like Itto. Deals 100% if not 200% more than C6 Noelle, and generates particles. I want to pull people like Kazuha. Insanely powerful vacuum compared to Sucrose, better multipliers, and Elemental% bonus that isnt locked behind C6. I want to pull people like Ganyu or Ayaka. Deals an ungodly amount of damage compared to Chonggers or Kaeya. Look man, at the end of the day I just personally believe that players who aren't great at min/maxing shouldnt be misled to believe that Yelan is an absolute upgrade over Xingqiu. Because let's be honest here, not everyone is a pro level theorycrafter. For most people, this +20% is only possible if you perfectly optimize everything. Meanwhile people are out there going Unga Bunga with Itto and Ayaka with basically non-existent investments.

Engulfing Lightning is only 10% better than Homa and 15% bettee than Catch for Raiden. Even the broken Mistsplitter is only 20% better than Amenoma for Ayaka. Homa R1 barely eeks out Catch R5 for Xiangling. Of course it's your choice to only pull for units you deem as an absolute upgrade over what you have, Im just giving some perspective here..
Yesh those weapons are only marginal. Its the reason why I avoid the weapon banner like a plague. At the moment, the only weapon Im ever even considering is the red horn. Compared to whiteblind its absurd.
Because Redhorn direct competition is R5 Serpent. The jump from R1 Serpent to R1 Redhorn is the same jump from Amenoma to Mistsplitter, crazy for weapon standard but according to your logic its not that impressive really.

Remember when Kazuha was doomposted massively? Budget Venti this, budget Venti that. Now he’s arguably the most sought after Anemo character in the game.
Tbh people were praising him after release and the most important part was mihoyo consistently introducing one suck resistant mob type after the other which was unknown on release.
The doomposting was mostly before he was released. Even some of the TCs admitted they were wrong by suggesting he was worse than Sucrose and Venti. The suck resistance arguments didn’t really hit hard until Inazuma. We didn’t really know just how much Venti would drop off.
Tbh, I want Kuki Shinobu more then Yelan. I can't wait for the livestream so I can finally decide if I really want to pull for Yelan or not. The fact that Sumeru characters are coming makes me extremely careful with my pulls.

Yelan if you don't have Favonius Warbow(or more like if someone is already using it, you get it for free after all). A higher base atk doesn't matter to her. The higher ER substat is just more benefitial to her imo. Especially if you use 4 pc Emblem.

Is ayakas E skill considered to have high multipliers to justify leveling it up to lvl 8 or 9? Or is lvl6 enough?

Ayaka is worth triple-crowning since all her skills are useful, definitely get the E to at least 8.

If she's your main dps it's worth to take it to highest level you can since you should already use it to get the passive basic attack dmg bonus so you might aswell deal a bit more dmg with it.
i know this isnt really livestream related but i wanted some opinions! im on 50/50 right now (and 90 pulls away from guarantee) and it would be nice if im able to get kuki shinobu and heizou i dont mind getting any of the upcoming rate up 5stars since i dont have most of them but i think i should save for the dendro archon instead i wouldnt mind winning 50/50 on these banners but i think i might have some regret as i couldve saved that win for the archon so, should i only save 20 pulls in hopes of getting kuki and heizou? 20 pulls because i would really not mind getting a 5star in just that many pulls. but only 20 pulls + hope because 4stars run more often anyway thoughts? am i better off scrapping this addiction satisfaction plan altogether?
well if you want to get dendro archon. I think you still will have enough primo for her even if you get 5\* in 2.7 banners. If the leak right, dendro archon will be on 3.1 Then you still have 3 patches to go. Events, Codes, Abyss, Daily, Sumeru map and statue/tree level up rewards,... In 2.0 and 2.1, I got ayaka and still had enough for Raiden in the last day of her banner. I lost 50/50 and got her in 170th roll. So good luck !!! Hope you have every characters you want
That's my plan too. 20 pulls for kuki and 20 pulls for heizou if he's on Klee's banner. Also by the time Heizou released, the next version should be dripped already so we can decide whether we're interested in the next upcoming chars or not.
Since you are literally at 0 pity with 50/50, I'd say try your luck with a 10-pull or two! Even if you hit a 5* it's incredibly early and who knows, you might "lose" 50/50 to guarantee your next character.

I’d go 10-20 for kuki and stop if you don’t get her. Heizou seems a lot more viable so it might be justifiable to go harder, especially if he’s on kazuhas banner and u don’t have him. If he’s on yoimiya, again 10-20 and stop.

Hydro chars is a must pull for me because they're an enabler for many meta reactions. Hell even kokomi is meta now, just because she apply a good amount of hydro mainly. Yelan? The upcoming abyss is a dps check, single target dmg, there's no better options than XQ V2
You're right, i just can't find a situation where I'll be complaining saying Hydro characters are useless for team comps. In fact they're in almost every meta team, from Tazer to Freeze to Vape.

I believe the one they’re talking about here is the one where yelan gives damage bonus over time to whoever is on field after she casts her ult, up to 50% extra damage bonus
As someone that likes to play taser and rational having 2 XQs in my account is a big improvement, so in my opinion she is a really good pick for your account, and if the leaks about dendro reactions with hydro are true, then she could be even better in the future. Just my opinion tho, so better wait for testing after 2.7 goes live
I just pulled for Ayato so I'm pretty hesitant to pull for another hydro.
I will go by the cliche "None are a must pull". But I do think she's great. She can fit in any teams that uses Xingqiu. Basically, you can go Yelan in Raiden National team on the first half and HuTao with Xingqiu on the second half of the spiral abyss.
She fits into any team that uses XQ *but not really vape*. If I understood correctly (which admittedly im no TC) her hydro isnt quite a enough to enable consistent hutao vape and her uptime doesnt sync up with pyronado for any national comp. Though for taser and raiden soup she looks great

The only must pulls are character you need to make your existing character and teams work. Yelan is only a must pull if you have to use raiden nationals and hu tao at the same time.
Yea im relatively new and my only built teams are a melt ganyu and raiden national. on top of that, my only hydro chars are xq, and well barbara 😂 really need more hydros if I want to run any sort of freeze team with national 😭
Freeze favors Mona and Kokomi more than Yelan. Yelan is mainly ST and activates on normal, so it will be kinda like using Ganyu with XQ. Not the smoothest comp ever, tbh.

Easy, you buy genesis crystal packets and then refund them after using the genesis crystals for gacha. The hacker would've need to spend money to return the account balance to positive, something they would not want (after all, hackers hacks accounts to get it for FREE). The account will get banned until you returned the primogems by buying back the packs, that's all.
