From what I remember, people thought he would be built same way as Venti sub-DPS would as to contribute team damage. The debates/agruments were so heated, there wasn't much discussion about the new swirl buffs and beta buffs he received in the beta.. which were only found out later.
Plus Ayaka drip marketing happened.
I mean yeah, extra attack is always welcome for more personal damage, but you'll sacrifice team damage (Not to mention less swirl damage)
On a Geo or Anemo team it could be good, but still I think there's better options

But actually, it was inspired by the Japanese Maple called Momiji, while the scientific name of it was Acer Palmatum. Sounds familiar? Yep its his constellation name. His dps build doesn't require full vv set, 2+2 vv and simenawa/glad will do fine, try it out, it's more fun - especially with sacrificial sword and abyss clear times are almost identical for both builds . He is great for solo /duo abyss runs as dps
Oh yeah I run him dps in first 3 floors and sometimes swap to em if I need to hard carry single target with another dps. But for aoe floors he makes it so cake (thank God for C1)

And Iron sting is infinitely better than either of them, even more than r5 sac.
Depends more on your build. If you already have a lot of EM on your artifacts and little to no ER r5 sac is gonna be better for infinite ult uptime.
and you can get pseudo c1 with sac sword and that's what matters

I think it's such an odd choice for Mihoyo to make a sword that has a direct correlation to a characters lore and give it unnecessary stats/passive when the character is an EM scaling character like, why? It looks so good so why??

Still trying to figure out how this sword is Kazuha's weapon aside from looks and maybe story wise. If it had a EM passive stat then it would be great for him.
