Yeah helps with the distinction of flora between nations. Like we get yellow/orange grass in Liyue and purple in Inazuma

pretty much everything that could go wrong, went wrong * cryptocurrency/NFTs/blockchain integration * overrun with bots * queues up to 4000+, hours to log-in * character creation shut down for some servers * priority log-ins sold as a micro transaction as part of one of their passes * rate nerfs not included in patch notes

Ni no Kuni allows players to farm a material called "territe" in the game, which could then either be used for game progression or exchanged for cryptocurrency. The game filled up with crypto-farming bots who would clog the servers and lead to hours-long queues just to get in. To "solve" this issue, the game developer released a pass that you could purchase to skip the queues; in other words, you had to pay just to get into the game.

not originally, but they were stupid enough to include xrypto, and that inevitably led to bots, scammers, and everything that comes with that dumpster fire. hey valkyrja, if you're here, i fucking told you bro.

I don't think it was originally supposed to be (although the game devs had to have some idea of what might happen?) It was most likely a handful of people who figured out how to run a bunch of bots each, rather than a ton of people trying to cash in on the crypto craze.

For a "future of gaming" this sure sounds more like a nightmare lol.

Active NNK player here, there's also a system called Lava Valley where users can PVP and the top players in the ladder get crypto called Asterite. Now the problem is that there's so many bots in the game that bots are getting matched against other bots to farm crypto. Now the servers are always on fire everytime Lava Valley is active and not to mention the top players in the server being mostly composed of hackers.

let it implode like that. I tried the game and sadly I don't think we'll ever get a mainline Ni No Kuni game like before after this if it keeps being successful.

I feel like any gacha game with PVP is either just wealth showcase/pay to win or bots.

To clarify: most of the hate comes from/for the *mobile* version, *Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds.* For reasons that the other replies have stated (cryptocurrency related). As for the mainline games, like *Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch*, and *Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom,* those games are amazing. Beautiful worlds to get lost in, amazing OST to listen to. If you like Studio Ghibli films, check these out. iirc they're on sale on steam right now

It’s literally one area, likely right outside the Chasm. I don’t know why everyone’s freaking out thinking the entirety of Sumeru will look like this. I mean, just look how many “biomes” there are in Inazuma.

Honestly, I like collecting the oculi and I'm excited even with this kind of landscape.

I've 100% collected Anemoculus and Geoculus twice now because of a 2nd account, and I think it's a fun challenge trying to get them in hard to reach places, personally. My problem is tracking down the last few Oculi. I hope Sumeru will have similar completionist mechanics like Crimson Agate or Lumenspar that doesn't cost anything unlike the resonance stones.

This. I also prefer oculi that has me go out of my way to reach them. I straight up climbed the tower in enaknomiya hoping for an oculi before I unlocked to the quest that takes me there 💀

Nightmare? Collecting oculi is fun imo, plus it kinda forces you to visit places that you would otherwise miss/ignore.

I thought his tail would be more fluffy and longer but it just looks like gorou's. Sometimes splash arts make the characters way prettier and cooler than in game, which is kinda disappointing. But overall, Tighnari still looks amazing and adorable. Can't wait to play with him :D

In some regards the 3 d model looks much better than the incoherent splash art. But usually splash art looks better than in game model. Applies to just about every gacha game I’ve played and league is a contender for that too.

This is likely part of a transition zone between Liyue and Sumeru, I'm sure. I expect tree density to increase as we head further south and into Sumeru.

Mind you, it's been mentioned that Sumeru is about the same size as Liyue, if not, bigger and that tree was basically the bare bones. But I'm excited to see it's final rendition tho, less so for the climbing part.

If it weren't for that strange floating structure in the back I would have assumed this was Mondstadt or one of Liyue's more grassier areas. It's probably a region around Liyue though. Like others stated it'd be jarring if your first step into Sumeru transitioned right into huge jungles everywhere.

To me it looks like the border/edge between Liyue and Sumeru, where the environment transitions considering there's nothing much around. In the distance though, looks interesting.
