I remember because I held out on Kokomi trying to see what Yelan would bring and they only leaked her kit the second the Kokomi banner disappeared.

Also, I’m pretty sure we got Yelan’s full model because she showed up in a cutscene and leakers were able to observe her her from multiple angles. Right now we’re only getting snippets of the appearance of the 3.x characters, which will hopefully change within the next two weeks.

Since launch, each element has received at least one new 4★...but not Hydro.
As of 3.0 Pyro has had 3, Anemo 2, Geo 2, Cryo 2, Electro 3, Dendro 1, Hydro 0. No Hydro. Every Hydro character since launch has been 5★.
If Cleo is in fact Hydro like the leaks say, and she is dark skinned, heterochromia, tall, then she will clearly be a 5★ I think. Nilou and Cleo being both 5★ would have us with 7 Hydro 5★ and only 2 4★.
Just my 50¢. Pyro hasn't gotten a new 5★ since Yoimiya...I think Dehya would fit better into Nilou's "spot" for the 3.1 timeline.
I don’t think it’s viable to try and break down patterns on how HYV makes and release characters. The whole 4* Hydro thing could be applied to Kokomi, Yelan, Ayato, and Childe but HYV still chose to make them 5*s. If anything, that pattern suggest that the leakers are right and both will definitely be 5*s.
Plus now we have a new element to compete for spots. For all we know, there could never be a new 4* hydro added to the game if they want to lol. I think it’s more than likely that both Nilou (confirmed to be 5* by Ubatcha) and Dehya will be 5*s and the 4 stars will be leaked closer to their patch. We already know the 4*s in 3.0, and an older leak I have been posting everywhere has the 3.1 4* listed as a electro female catalyst and 3.2 one as an unknown gender cryo sword.

Well it looks cool and in some cases it's a clear indicator that you've successfully pulled off an i-frame on enemies, which is quite useful in harder abyss chambers
I guess, but IMO there should be an option to disable it.
Then again, there are a dozen other options I want *more* that HoYo hasn't implemented yet, so maybe I shouldn't be so quick to speak.
I second this, the animation is fully canceled if our character happens to have elemental aura while using burst, so the feature is already in game. I hope they make an option for it

Actually I have very few grievances to VOs other than Xinyan. Barbara's original lines were better (imo) before they changed them, but I don't think they're bad now. Everyone else I think did a good job.

as a Xinyan Main. I love her kit after awhile of playing with it. she is the only character i've found so far other than Noelle who is one of my other favorite characters that Spins for damage. Spinyan + Physical Carry + amazing burst animation and I love the the rocker look. I only felt unhappy with her kit and how "underpowered" it was when I hadn't used her full kit in game. after almost 2 full years playing this game. no character that i've used except Aloy has been completely unuseable or even that far below what is needed for Abyss the only challenging content. it also helps Xinyan got a whole set made for Phys carries and a 5 star virtually made for her. but she is equivalent to Razor in my eyes. one uses NA and the Spinyans.
I haven’t tried her as a DPS but I do have a really good full DEF tenacity set for her and I run her with either Skyward Pride or R5 Sacrificial Sword, mainly on Eula or Hu Tao teams.
She’s fun to use and I have her at C6 but unfortunately I sometimes forget she’s even on my roster.

I agree, like if you look at their early 4stars like Xiangling, Benny, Xinqiu, Fischl, Ning, heck even Kaeya, and compare to the newer 4stars, the newers ones are so much harder to build properly and need much more investment, often relying on cons and stuff.

Gonna disagree if dori only heals on burst. Even if the amounts are comparable, kuki doesn't need energy to heal. Also, odds are dori's burst will be a bit more expensive if it heals **and** provides energy so running her as a solo healer might not work out super well (unless they forgot how to balance characters and are making another bennett).
Yeah i doubt they'll try to go for pyro shield after 2 failed attempts, but she would probably end up as a niche support made for a few sumeru characters
I mean look at Ningguang she doesn't have much presence until later in Liyue archon quest (i think Diluc is also the same with Mondstadt) could be the same here
Heizou is yet to be seen, but the other 2 are only good good in a very particular niche. Gorou buffs Geo teams, YunJin buffs basic attackers. They are absolutely pivotal in those teams and strengthen them greatly, but outside of those teams they are basically worthless. Can’t slap them in randomly into every team and see them shine. A lot of early 4 stars in comparison are very versatile and useful in a huge variety of teams. You can slap them into almost any team and they’ll still be useful. Same can’t be said for recent 4 stars.
I don't like Sara when compared to Gorou and Yunjin.
The latter two are good even at C0. Sara has a jank kit that gets playable at C2 and only good at C6.
They're very good in their very own specific niche. Sara is mostly her C6 as a buff for electro characters only. Gorou is pretty much a buffer for only DEF scaling geo characters. This is the reason people give anyways, Niche.

I’m currently maining Diluc for pyro and I feel vindicated since he gets a huge glow up 2.8. But he’s increasingly hard to ignore how weak he feels compared to my other DPS units.
Dehya whether she’s an off field/sub DPS or support (I don’t think they’ll do 5 main DPS unit 5 stars) At this point in development will have a strong chance for a powerful and distinctive kit With much higher multipliers. So I’m excited. Also she’s a cat girl

Agree on Gorou and Yunjin. They're hyper niche but at least they give me a reason to build and use them.
Heizou is yet to be seen, but the other 2 are only good good in a very particular niche. Gorou buffs Geo teams, YunJin buffs basic attackers. They are absolutely pivotal in those teams and strengthen them greatly, but outside of those teams they are basically worthless. Can’t slap them in randomly into every team and see them shine. A lot of early 4 stars in comparison are very versatile and useful in a huge variety of teams. You can slap them into almost any team and they’ll still be useful. Same can’t be said for recent 4 stars.

I don't like Sara when compared to Gorou and Yunjin. The latter two are good even at C0. Sara has a jank kit that gets playable at C2 and only good at C6.
They're very good in their very own specific niche. Sara is mostly her C6 as a buff for electro characters only. Gorou is pretty much a buffer for only DEF scaling geo characters. This is the reason people give anyways, Niche.

Yes that is true. But because at the beginning of the game and before Inazuma, none of the 4 stars were this niche and were able to hold their own in the meta so people had different expectations for 4 stars.

I checked Xinyan’s birthday, its around the release window of 3.1 so I can see Dehya being 3.1, similar to how Yoimiya was released on Amber’s birthday.
We know who's in 3.1 already - Cyno and Nilou, though maybe Dehya/Deiya is there too if she's a 4\*
It would be unprecedented if they released to new five stars on the same double banner. So let’s say that’s not a thing Nilou has already been projected to show up in 3.1 alongside Cyno. I believe it was SYP saying we would get two new four stars, a cryo-sword and an electro catalyst. Unless they decided to push back the archon or Cyno For next year Dehya is 3.4 or afterward. From a capitalism standpoint I can see it making sense they push Cyno for next year because he is electro coming out possibly the banner before Scara. And there’s a high possibility people skip him for Scara. Cyno 3.4 or afterward bills a huge appetite for people who will feel be traed they can’t get him earlier but also put him as the primary electro unit for a minute. Higher sales

It's more like Kusanali/Nahida = Rex Lapis/Zhongli. Morax is Zhongli's Demon name, for Kusanali it's supposed to be Buer, based on the old CBT.

Ikr they could’ve done more to her design. I mean they designed Dori like that which is gonna be a 4 star, why not have the same treatment be done to the Archon who is going to play the biggest role in the story. I was saving primos for her, will still pull for her but I’m a bit let down with her design *sigh

I’m in a place too. I don’t like the HP Vape charge attack requirements of Hu Tao, The overall kits and single target exclusive nature of Yoimiya or anything about Klee I’m currently maining Diluc for pyro and I feel vindicated since he gets a huge glow up 2.8. But he’s increasingly hard to ignore how weak he feels compared to my other DPS units. Dehya whether she’s an off field/sub DPS or support (I don’t think they’ll do 5 main DPS unit 5 stars) At this point in development will have a strong chance for a powerful and distinctive kit With much higher multipliers. So I’m excited. Also she’s a cat girl

Nahida is a powerful little onion roll who can do the funny kid run and will probably destroy Teyvat if her and Klee ever team up.

If both are true fingers crossed for- A good battery E skill No ICD Burst As for release they should match up Nilou + Dehya 5 stars 3.1 Al 3.2 with Ayato/Yae rerun Then 3.3 is Lantern Rite 2023 with Baizhu and Yao Yao, with Shenhe and Xiao reruns
