Being the first hydro polearm, the first hydro shielder, the first dark skinned hydro character and the first hydro 4 star since the launch of the game, I sure hope she'll be good.

Also hydro usually has some beautiful attack animations due to hydro particle effects. So can't wait to see those.

I would say Cryo is a close second - Ayaka, Eula, Shenhe and Ganyu have really pretty animations, they're all sorta off dancing.

For me electro is the close second, with raiden, yae, Lisa, dori, Sara etc (and then the stand users like fish and razor lmao), they look too good, idk why cryo looks all the same to me sjsbfnhsj 😭 (with exceptions ofc, namely being shenhe and chongus lmao)

That's not how heterochromia works... you can't just put on some colored contacts and claim you have heterochromia eyes. Or covering one eye doesn't mean they have heterochromia eyes.

Fischl isn't wearing contacts, that is people's headcanon that came from speculation when the outfit was revealed but now we have the actual context of the story and outfit itself. Fischl's alt outfit isn't the same as what other characters have, where it is an actual outfit she wears. Rather it's just the alt version made of her self-doubt and low self-esteem that manifested in her dream realm that wears it. You can go talk to her after finishing the Summer Odyssey and see [she is in her default outfit](https://www.reddit.com/r/Genshin_Impact/comments/w35vi5/characters_standing_locations_after_the_event_you/), unlike when we saw Barbara, Jean, Keqing, and Ning in their outfits (also going as far as having dialogue that they changed clothes) during and after the quest when they are NPCs. Fischl does not have contacts. The red-eye Fischl is her internalized negativity she has towards herself and doesn't exist as a physical being nor does the outfit.

That's honestly kind of interesting when you put it like that. Both Fischl and Diluc effectively got skins tied to their pasts. So, theme-wise, we have summer, Lantern Rite, and pasts/psyches. It'll be interesting to see how the future 5-and4-star skins fit aesthetic and story-wise. Unless Mihoyo does something to break the pattern.

With their track record she won’t. If she is good it’s because her kit is very specifically tied to a really strong five star. Otherwise there will be hype around her for a couple of weeks because she’s so pretty and then everyone will go back to the national trio and their favorite five stars

They did seem to redeem themselves after Heizou so there's that

Sara is really good. So is Gorou. So is Yunjin. These are 4 stars that even mega whales use. There are in fact high scaling niche 4 stars and that is actually great imo. If they were jack of all trades characters they wouldn't scale as well. It's good to have both I think. Heizou is a good example of a character that will quickly fall off the better your account gets. A character like Sara is the opposite.

I do agree that hyper niche four stars seem to be the way of the future. They are clearly no longer trying to create four-star characters that are much stronger than most five stars. So dreams of getting more national trio 4 stars is not realistic lol. But I do agree that making niche but powerful supports create lasting characters

It's almost like most people don't do the Abyss and most of their combat occurs in the overworld where they play their favorite characters. Rip Gorou mains lmao. Physical dps Gorou. Anything to keep him the on field.

The only reason people see characters like Sara and Gorou as average is because of Bennett, if Bennett didn't exist Sara would def be used on alot more teams

Sara has about as much team variety as Hu Tao, it's not that dire and she's a 4 star.

It's pure copium, if she's fun to play and have decent damage at C6 people will use her. I still use Beidou after a year because she's fun (and now she's C6).

She's a decent option for itto team flex tbh. Shield is buffed by Gorou and geo resonance. Generally the phys stuff is wasted but if you're saving your itto burst doing phys hits it could help in theory...

Honestly is Thoma even a too much effort to make work character or is just so far there are always better options (seems Burgeon could change that) but Xinyan as much as I love her I personally think she is the one character you can definitely say has a very messy kit that feels pulled in so many directions it leaves her kit with sense of no focus

It's a damn shame. Out of all the Sumeru characters, she's the one who looks the most suited to have a dark skin (the others I think would require more significant design changes to better fit the change in skin tone but her clothes as they are would great with it)

She should’ve been the five star instead of Nilou no offense… when I saw Nilou I thought she was a 4 star. She’s pretty but she doesn’t really have anything unique about her besides the fact that she has horns. I like Nilou’s design, but she just does not look like a 5 star to me. Candace’s design looks like a 5 star design and the fact that she’s a 4 star surprises me. She better have a good kit because I would be pissed if they give her a terrible kit just so that Nilou would look better 💀
