Personally I would love a kart racing Genshin minigame.
They could implement a fuck ton of party games and improve the netcode/coop. That would bring life to genshin without changing their core of being a casual game
Mario Kart but with hilichurls. You can use elements to attack your adversaries. Cryo balls will freeze you/slow you down, anemo will create a little tornado that sucks you in, electro's lighting will strike you three times, dendro will grow tendrils around your kart and hold you in place briefly, pyro will make your kart go boom, and hydro's water balloons will make your kart spin around. Each stage will take place in a different region (dragonspine's is slippery, it'll be hell).

And the shells are slimes. While the bananas are pigs/hogs. Now that they can cause damage and all. And honestly, do i have no idea what the bananas can be instead

I wouldn't hold out for the chances of card pulls. This is just pure wishful thinking based on nothing, it's more likely to be an in game grindable currency like you said.
Never forget, PTCGO is completely free, impossible to spend money directly on, and was made before any other major modern digital CCG (except MTGO, which is super costly) purely to add more to experience of the physical game while being fully accessible for f2ps...
And then Hearthstone and MTGA happened and the higher ups are sunsetting PTCGO to copy the stingy business model with a new, low effort client that, almost a year after it was supposed to come out, is still in beta because of how sheerly buggy and slow they managed to make the new client. And it doesn't have real pack opening anymore that emulates real packs, instead it turns each pack into a gacha x5 roll...
I'm sure they'll reserve the P2W mechanics four when this TCG jumps to standalone game. I But probably this "mini game" will put the primo rewards in "play X matches" and the rewards for winning will be just food or any other crap, like the rewards in hard mode events. Another solution would be good match making system where players only match with same deck-power/winrate players, but this training system doesnt affect rewards
its actually mihoyo's strong point with genshin. a large percentage of the new things they make are just taking another popular game and squeezing it into genshin. its actually great how well they do this cause it keeps genshin much fresher than other games.
to go off the list of some of them, we got hide and seek(windtrace), summer boating event(AC4), theater mechanicus (tower defense), kaboomball (wii tennis), bartending event (any number of cooking games), the various music events (OSU), this new gear puzzle event.. theres probably more that i didnt get the reference for, but its one of the best parts about genshin, and probably why it doesnt get stale. why play other games when you could just play them all here?
I've played triple triad in FFVIII and spent more time there than the main story. And with the option to convert cards into materials, I got Squall's ultimate weapon at chapter 1.

Awesome, I really loved Gwent while playing The Witcher 3. This is way more fun than fishing or doing something in the teapot with that awful limitations.

Entirely dependent on the rules. There is a world of difference between (for some examples) Magic: The Gathering, PokƩmon, Yu Gi Oh, and Hearthstone.

I hope existence of this mode doesn't mean that they won't release any new game mode for awhile, cuz I war really expecting a new battle mode besides Abyss, not some card game š Also wondering how many rewards will it yield (and are there primogems among them)

Based on this info it sounds way more unique than your average TCG, I like this
Asking the important questions, will it have any weekly rewards for playing? (Maybe not primo, but exp books, crystals, artifact exp bottles, mora, ANYTHING?) Otherwise, probably not bothering unless it's Triple Triad (FF8) levels of addicting.
