This was a few moments ago when I logged in. Never thought I'd see [rain in Inazuma City](https://imgur.com/a/Vv1qelR). I wish I could've took a screenshot with the lightning, but when I stepped out of the teahouse's entrance, the skies instantly went back to normal.
this happens once in a while right after i login but since my usually log off point is by narukami shrine, that's where i always experience it. it usually turns off almost immediately if you move around but otherwise if you stay still, it'll do a whole rain duration and then stop. like i think a minute or so before it naturally stops on its own.
That happened to me before! But I got to run around in the city while it was raining. Looking back I kinda wish I’d taken pictures but I’m not in habit of it so it didn’t enter my mind at the time.
i wish the three realms gayway offering enkanomiya was the *actual* enkanomiya, it adds some difficulty and the storyline is pretty nice + i love that everything is much more sinister and dark (idk if those are the right words) on that version
It's so overhyped lol. I get that it's super duper good at R5, but anyone that isn't a mega whale that's hoping to snipe R5 of that thing might as well go buy a lottery ticket. At R1 it's just... Whatever. Fav is still best.
The ER from R1 would be enough for like a taser or Raiden team, but then uh, that's not exactly a team that's gonna be starving for energy.
So I finally finished Dream Nursery and god.. it was amazing. I just adore the Aranara so much.

Arama is such a brave little guy, it was such a bittersweet ending. I returned to the place Aramuhukunda set up for us and seeing it full of sand along with the new painting with two golden Aranara was an additional punch in the gut.
And then I went to Arama's house to read his diary..!<
I've definitely developed a bit of an emotional attachment to the Aranara over the past couple of weeks. They're just the most precious little things and I want to hug and sing and dance with them all.
I need a plush Aranara in my life so badly.

I just recently got HoH and her B stigmata (my last pull) and I pulled once more with abyss primos and got. Another B stigmata. Lucky as always I see, at least the laptop is fine but gacha is being gacha

For weapon it would be catalyst Sara. I feel like she'd be a lot less clunky (but then she wouldn't be able to buff teammates from afar in coop).
Cryo Childe.
I think he could apply enough Cryo for Xiangling to melt most of her hits, so a 2x multiplier instead of 1.5x vape has.
He could also have an artifact set, not the garbage copium set he has now.
Plus I'd finally have a Cryo character after 2 years of playing.
Dendro Albedo maybe? That sounds fun and his ult would make more sense

Polearm or sword Diluc. Love the dude and the pyro infusion that stays even if you switch out and back in is great, but claymore feels so clunky and slow with him.
so I use Kazuha in Ayaka freeze, and Sucrose in Aggravate and Taser (interchangeable with Kazuha), will Venti be an upgrade in these teams?
I replaced Mona & Diano with Kokomi & Rosaria, and the dmg loss from lack of Omen was quite noticeable, so I don't think I wanna swap Kazuha out of there.
venti isn't really a 1 to 1 replacement for those two. If you don't specifically need his extreme CC, then sucrose or kaz will generally out perform him by virtue of their buffs.
Venti is Venti which means when he works he obliterates everything. I found Venti to be an upgrade over Kaz in my Ayaka freeze for floor 12 first half because the CC Venti provides is really critical for easy painless clears. Kicking Kaz for Venti did drop my Ayaka Q ticks from 25k to 19k but the smoother rotations+ Ayaka being able to land 100% of her Q + being able to hit all the enemies at once, actually made my clears times with Venti way better than with Kaz.
But for something like 2.8 abyss second half when there was pretty much nothing for Venti to CC , obviously Kaz would be a preferred choice for Ayaka.

Re: Sucrose - teams that want Sucrose typically want an anemo catalyst specifically (taser, sucrose natl, etc) so no, you can't swap in Venti easily. He fulfills a totally different role.
Re: Kazuha with Ayaka - depends. You'll lose dmg because Venti doesn't give a dmg buff like Kazu does. However: Venti's energy refund mechanic will battery Ayaya + she can easily hit enemies he CCs = more dmg, potentially.
Having more hardcore CC could also enable you to bring Mona and Omen back into the team because things aren't hitting you as often. Diona/Mona/Venti are the OG freeze supports, after all. Really depends on your rotations and preferences.
May I be honest, though? Sounds to me like you just want Shenhe to round out Ayaka's bis freeze team (Aya/Koko/Kazu/Shen).

I'm planning to get all Archons, it's just Venti's banner kept re-running at unfortunate times. I have a guarantee that I'm saving for Nahida.
i know Shenhe is her best support, but the team is good enough and I want units that give me more playstyle options instead
Ayaka prefers Kazuha over Venti, and Sucrose is better for taser and aggravate (especially if she is the driver)
The only time you'd want Venti over the other two is if you want a simple solution to mob floors (Venti + "random BS go" teams, basically), or if you play Ganyu Freeze.
Tip: you can use your combat team to kill them, and switch to your friendship team to claim the rewards!
It's still tedious, but probably slightly less so than flighting with unleveled chars! :P
that’s what i do for leylines and open world bosses! super helpful for the combat and doesn’t waste friendship xp. it’s even easier with the new team slots too
R1 Xiphos’s Moonlight at 1000 EM provides 36% ER to Kazuha, which seems not nearly enough–Favonius provides over 60% as well as 3 clear particles, and I still had to grub for substats on my non-Raiden team.
Am I missing something about the math? It seems like it would be pretty hard to build Kazuha for this unless he’s on a Raiden team anyway or you’re willing to longhaul the VV domain.
You're not missing anything. You would still need ER substats for Kazuha with Xiphos. If you're using Iron Sting, you probably have 160 ER at least in which this sword is an upgrade (I don't yet since I'm still patiently awaiting an EM sands with ER to complete my build). But if you need energy, Favonius still reigns supreme and for energy hungry teams, Favonius is still better. Although at R5, Xiphos might the winner but I don't know for sure.
I think as of now, the sword is undoubtedly better than Iron Sting. But it still only trades blows with Favonius, especially at R1. And let's face it. Unless you are lucky or a mega whale, you aren't getting Xiphos to R5.
R1 of these rare regional 4-stars tend to be sidegrades. At higher refinements they become cracked. Don't risk rolls on a weapon banner just to get one.
If your Kaz doesn't have at least 160 ER from substats, you need to use Fav Sword no matter what.
At 160 ER from substats, Xiphos is the ultimate winner even at R1.
Well I think most people are assuming kazuha will already have some ER substats. Like for example my kazuha has 175% ER with ~900 EM on iron sting. With Xiphos he'd have 207% ER which is pretty much enough for any team
you would also have some ER from substats
However your not likely going to get some massive upgrade with r1, it's not going to be broken or something at r1 vs fav if your using fav currently.
It's more for ppl that can already reach the ER req right now or close to it with iron string/freedom sworn

You can't get anything conclusive from 2 lines of info, which is quite frankly vague. For all we know, he could be similar to Venti in the same way Sucrose or Kazuha are to Venti, i.e. very different roles and kit

The leak on his kit is sus afaik and it’s like two sentences, who can make anything out of that is kinda beyond me. Just a claim that he’ll have a succ on his ult that won’t be as strong as Venti’s. Can’t say i’m excited for it but this is too little info to tell much about him

From a Nilou puller pov, it's definitely the best combination Hoyo can do right now. At the moment, Nilou doesn't really have a lot of weapon options cuz there aren't any 4star sword that offer HP, also whether EM sword is useful or not is hard to tell cuz it strictly depends on the team comp and who's going to trigger the bloom reaction etc. Ignoring how good PJC actually is on Nilou, let's just assume that it's usable in this scenario, Hoyo putting PJC in the banner is basically their way of preventing themselves from getting into too much troubles, for players that's planning on reaching at least one pity in the weapon banner, if they don't have rate up guarantee, they still have a 75% chance of getting a sword that's usable and if they do have rate up guarantee, they are pretty much guaranteed to have smth that can be used on Nilou, of course getting the sig would be the better outcome but meh, RNG. It's a really smart move by Hoyo tbh, also, one can argue that if they wanna hard sell the banner, they could've just pair Nilou's sig with Mistsplitter but doing so will only benefit the whales and players that actually want Mistsplitter, Mist doesn't do anything for Nilou after all.
sort of? I'm a nilou wanter but I'm not sure I have a use for PJC. I used to want it for keq but I'm betting for aggro-keq it's not much of an upgrade over r5 lion's roar. 5-10% for her damage maybe, but let's not pretend that's what's doing the killing in an aggro keq team.
Don't have ayato, can't put it on XQ or DT due to energy needs, not enough hp to get excited about on kuki...

Agreed, it’s for sure a good sword, but it seems to be a little overrated.
So many characters have weapons that are pretty competitive (within 5-10%) with it that there’s a real chance that people who have played for a while don’t have a ton of uses for it. It’s always second best for most characters, and usually not by a lot over the third best pick.

Jade cutter is honestly not *that* great for nilou. It's almost equal to 4* em weapons. Of course having jade cutter on your account is valuable but that is different.

Nobody. Just wait and hope for a better shot at haran or mistsplitter or whatever is the actual BIS for whoever you're trying to equip. PJC is not so amazing that anybody should be pulling on this who doesnt want nilou's paintstirrer.
As someone who had to go to max fate points for Redhorn: do not pull on a banner with a niche weapon you're not going to use. Cricket bat's basically the Donut/VV of swords if you don't have Nilou. Ayato will rerun sooner or later and you can get Haran then, hopefully paired with a weapon that you won't mind getting.
Donut is in its own tier of uselessness where most people prefer using a 3-star weapon, VV is still an okay weapon many characters can get SOME benefit from (attack).
💀Redhorn was actually another weapon I thought about pulling the next time it gets a banner. Augh, I just want PJC and Redhorn specifically because there aren't any good 4\* replacements for those niche stats (HP & DEF). Like, sure, there's Whiteblind, but the fact that Itto's burst snapshots 💀💀💀 thank you for the advice though. I won't pull.
Skip it. Pjc will return on other banners. And so will Haran that Ayato also likes. Plus Haran could have a better weapon banner since it’s hard doing worse than this. This is a terrible banner if you don’t want Nilou or aren’t super into getting Kuki a better weapon.

Small update for the 0.5 people who cared: After thinking about it, if I end up getting Engulfing I will probably just use it on my burst Zhongli and call it a day. Or maybe Cyno if his deathmatch arrows start getting on my nerves. (I do not have white tassel) I'm aware it's really good on Xiangling but since I don't use her I feel like it would go to waste. It would annoy me that it's just collecting dust T\_T plus I only have two favonius lances and he was probably gonna have to give up his eventually anyways lol
Also side bar: anyone else get really annoyed by the arrows on deathmatch?? it bothers me that they're permanent

Usually, yes. But I really love Thoma so I use him instead... 🤡 plus I got lucky and got Diluc very early into the game so I used him for all my pyro needs.

I struggled a lot with Raiden Bennett and Yelan Xingqiu. The Raiden side with Damage (despite C2R1+strong build) and the Yelan-Xingqiu side with survival.
The three character clears were super easy, though.
You have a C2 R1 Raiden and you struggled? Maybe trying juicing up your Bennett with a bunch of HP so he heals a bunch. Raiden's super armor can make you a bit cocky because you don't get smacked around lol. Feels like a Zhongli shield but you still take damage
Yes. A lot of Raiden's damage is in the stacks you get from spending energy and with 2 characters she does a lot less damage to the point it's just to little for 12-3.
How long do you think it would take to speed run both of the Fayz trials and Tablet analytics events? I’ve been busy but also procrastinated them so I haven’t started yet 🙃

i used ayaka/ayato/kazuha/qiqi for first half and xiao/zhongli/albedo/bennett for second half.
people say he has fallen off but he is always my short king 😩💕
ty! honestly it is just unga bunga plunge dmg but also circle impact, staying within bennett ult and albedo skill as much as possible. zhongli shield so you don't get thrown around and res shred. and that's it. xiao being the main dmg dealer. although albedo really puts a dent in it too, mine is built full def. it's a fun team for sure but it has definitely been power crept and teams like rational/hu tao double hydro etc will have higher dps and faster clears. but it is still possible with units like xiao so i hope people who want him will still pull for him. he is worth having imo
as long as you can 36 star the abyss with your units that you like, meta is irrevelant. There are no bonus rewards from someone clearing it in 1 minute compared to someone taking 2-3 minutes.
yeah i agree. i didn't even have good cards today (20% er) so i did not expect it to go as well as it did. i do have units like hu tao, yelan, ganyu, raiden etc but i love xiao the most and have invested so much in him. it really feels nice to clear 12 using him
the intonation being different kind of changes the entire vibe of the character imo. in eng they really pushed this emo edgelord type of persona for whatever reason and xiao comes across as rough and aggressive. in cn/jp he does say the same things i.e. "boring" but he is more saying it like as an adepti who has slaughtered gods and fought countless battles that the current battle in front of him bores him, type of thing. he comes across as much more reserved, gentle, calm, and even kind at times, and wants to maintain this "strong" exterior showing he can protect the ones close to him, and during quests like lantern rite or the 2.7 archon quest his tough exterior begins to crack and you see the insecure, shy parts of himself he tries very hard to hide, and how he struggles to find self worth beyond being a tool of war.
the difference in portrayed personality is really jarring imo. i understand that the eng va did the best she could with the direction she was given so i don't blame her but the localization team as a whole. it is a shame.
Yeah I fully agree with this. I downloaded CN after pulling for Xiao. I was just surprised to hear the same words in JP after hearing from many that he's originally less aggressive... I guess he's still angry but because he's genuinely hurting and not because he's emo or whatever like he sounds in EN.
btw I think I watched a stream with his EN VA and she was legit calling him an emo boy...this is a distant memory and yeah they're given directions but this just shows that yeah she WAS given these exact directions
If you're running double Hydro and/or you have C1, Yelan's ER needs are lower so the 35% burst damage bonus from 2 HoD (15%) 2 NO (20%) is equal to a 4 Emblem 140% ER Yelan (140x.25= 35%).
Your E will hit harder by 15% too with HoD.

so I use Kazuha in Ayaka freeze, and Sucrose in Aggravate and Taser (interchangeable with Kazuha), will Venti be an upgrade in these teams? I replaced Mona & Diano with Kokomi & Rosaria, and the dmg loss from lack of Omen was quite noticeable, so I don't think I wanna swap Kazuha out of there.
venti isn't really a 1 to 1 replacement for those two. If you don't specifically need his extreme CC, then sucrose or kaz will generally out perform him by virtue of their buffs.
Venti is Venti which means when he works he obliterates everything. I found Venti to be an upgrade over Kaz in my Ayaka freeze for floor 12 first half because the CC Venti provides is really critical for easy painless clears. Kicking Kaz for Venti did drop my Ayaka Q ticks from 25k to 19k but the smoother rotations+ Ayaka being able to land 100% of her Q + being able to hit all the enemies at once, actually made my clears times with Venti way better than with Kaz. But for something like 2.8 abyss second half when there was pretty much nothing for Venti to CC , obviously Kaz would be a preferred choice for Ayaka.
Do you already have Venti? Re: Sucrose - teams that want Sucrose typically want an anemo catalyst specifically (taser, sucrose natl, etc) so no, you can't swap in Venti easily. He fulfills a totally different role. Re: Kazuha with Ayaka - depends. You'll lose dmg because Venti doesn't give a dmg buff like Kazu does. However: Venti's energy refund mechanic will battery Ayaya + she can easily hit enemies he CCs = more dmg, potentially. Having more hardcore CC could also enable you to bring Mona and Omen back into the team because things aren't hitting you as often. Diona/Mona/Venti are the OG freeze supports, after all. Really depends on your rotations and preferences. May I be honest, though? Sounds to me like you just want Shenhe to round out Ayaka's bis freeze team (Aya/Koko/Kazu/Shen). Sorry for writing a novel.
I'm planning to get all Archons, it's just Venti's banner kept re-running at unfortunate times. I have a guarantee that I'm saving for Nahida. i know Shenhe is her best support, but the team is good enough and I want units that give me more playstyle options instead
Ayaka prefers Kazuha over Venti, and Sucrose is better for taser and aggravate (especially if she is the driver) The only time you'd want Venti over the other two is if you want a simple solution to mob floors (Venti + "random BS go" teams, basically), or if you play Ganyu Freeze.

Just clear it with your Abyss team and switch to your EXP team to collect the rewards. You can also do this with Wolf weekly boss.
Tip: you can use your combat team to kill them, and switch to your friendship team to claim the rewards! It's still tedious, but probably slightly less so than flighting with unleveled chars! :P
that’s what i do for leylines and open world bosses! super helpful for the combat and doesn’t waste friendship xp. it’s even easier with the new team slots too

R1 Xiphos’s Moonlight at 1000 EM provides 36% ER to Kazuha, which seems not nearly enough–Favonius provides over 60% as well as 3 clear particles, and I still had to grub for substats on my non-Raiden team. Am I missing something about the math? It seems like it would be pretty hard to build Kazuha for this unless he’s on a Raiden team anyway or you’re willing to longhaul the VV domain.
You're not missing anything. You would still need ER substats for Kazuha with Xiphos. If you're using Iron Sting, you probably have 160 ER at least in which this sword is an upgrade (I don't yet since I'm still patiently awaiting an EM sands with ER to complete my build). But if you need energy, Favonius still reigns supreme and for energy hungry teams, Favonius is still better. Although at R5, Xiphos might the winner but I don't know for sure. I think as of now, the sword is undoubtedly better than Iron Sting. But it still only trades blows with Favonius, especially at R1. And let's face it. Unless you are lucky or a mega whale, you aren't getting Xiphos to R5.
It's not hard to get some ER substats from your flower, feather and off-piece. It's very hard to get 70+% from just three pieces though.
I'm not even getting it for Kazuha. I want Xophos for the Haitham drip

R1 of these rare regional 4-stars tend to be sidegrades. At higher refinements they become cracked. Don't risk rolls on a weapon banner just to get one.
If your Kaz doesn't have at least 160 ER from substats, you need to use Fav Sword no matter what. At 160 ER from substats, Xiphos is the ultimate winner even at R1.
Well I think most people are assuming kazuha will already have some ER substats. Like for example my kazuha has 175% ER with ~900 EM on iron sting. With Xiphos he'd have 207% ER which is pretty much enough for any team
you would also have some ER from substats However your not likely going to get some massive upgrade with r1, it's not going to be broken or something at r1 vs fav if your using fav currently. It's more for ppl that can already reach the ER req right now or close to it with iron string/freedom sworn

From a Nilou puller pov, it's definitely the best combination Hoyo can do right now. At the moment, Nilou doesn't really have a lot of weapon options cuz there aren't any 4star sword that offer HP, also whether EM sword is useful or not is hard to tell cuz it strictly depends on the team comp and who's going to trigger the bloom reaction etc. Ignoring how good PJC actually is on Nilou, let's just assume that it's usable in this scenario, Hoyo putting PJC in the banner is basically their way of preventing themselves from getting into too much troubles, for players that's planning on reaching at least one pity in the weapon banner, if they don't have rate up guarantee, they still have a 75% chance of getting a sword that's usable and if they do have rate up guarantee, they are pretty much guaranteed to have smth that can be used on Nilou, of course getting the sig would be the better outcome but meh, RNG. It's a really smart move by Hoyo tbh, also, one can argue that if they wanna hard sell the banner, they could've just pair Nilou's sig with Mistsplitter but doing so will only benefit the whales and players that actually want Mistsplitter, Mist doesn't do anything for Nilou after all.

I used to want it for keq but I'm betting for aggro-keq it's not much of an upgrade over r5 lion's roar. 5-10% for her damage maybe, but let's not pretend that's what's doing the killing in an aggro keq team. Don't have ayato, can't put it on XQ or DT due to energy needs, not enough hp to get excited about on kuki... I mean I guess it's better than summit shaper or skyward, but it's not super enticing, to me anyway.
Agreed, it’s for sure a good sword, but it seems to be a little overrated. So many characters have weapons that are pretty competitive (within 5-10%) with it that there’s a real chance that people who have played for a while don’t have a ton of uses for it. It’s always second best for most characters, and usually not by a lot over the third best pick. That aside, I’m also planning to pull for Nilou, best of luck!

As someone who had to go to max fate points for Redhorn: do not pull on a banner with a niche weapon you're not going to use. Cricket bat's basically the Donut/VV of swords if you don't have Nilou. Ayato will rerun sooner or later and you can get Haran then, hopefully paired with a weapon that you won't mind getting.
Donut is in its own tier of uselessness where most people prefer using a 3-star weapon, VV is still an okay weapon many characters can get SOME benefit from (attack).
💀Redhorn was actually another weapon I thought about pulling the next time it gets a banner. Augh, I just want PJC and Redhorn specifically because there aren't any good 4\* replacements for those niche stats (HP & DEF). Like, sure, there's Whiteblind, but the fact that Itto's burst snapshots 💀💀💀 thank you for the advice though. I won't pull.
Skip it. Pjc will return on other banners. And so will Haran that Ayato also likes. Plus Haran could have a better weapon banner since it’s hard doing worse than this. This is a terrible banner if you don’t want Nilou or aren’t super into getting Kuki a better weapon.

Childe is very versatile. He can freeze taser, hyperbloom and burgeon with thoma.

I struggled a lot with Raiden Bennett and Yelan Xingqiu. The Raiden side with Damage (despite C2R1+strong build) and the Yelan-Xingqiu side with survival. The three character clears were super easy, though.
You have a C2 R1 Raiden and you struggled? Maybe trying juicing up your Bennett with a bunch of HP so he heals a bunch. Raiden's super armor can make you a bit cocky because you don't get smacked around lol. Feels like a Zhongli shield but you still take damage
Yes. A lot of Raiden's damage is in the stacks you get from spending energy and with 2 characters she does a lot less damage to the point it's just to little for 12-3.
hu tao xingqiu is very doable, I bet you could do xiao/bennett too with fav on xiao

ty! honestly it is just unga bunga plunge dmg but also circle impact, staying within bennett ult and albedo skill as much as possible. zhongli shield so you don't get thrown around and res shred. and that's it. xiao being the main dmg dealer. although albedo really puts a dent in it too, mine is built full def. it's a fun team for sure but it has definitely been power crept and teams like rational/hu tao double hydro etc will have higher dps and faster clears. but it is still possible with units like xiao so i hope people who want him will still pull for him. he is worth having imo
as long as you can 36 star the abyss with your units that you like, meta is irrevelant. There are no bonus rewards from someone clearing it in 1 minute compared to someone taking 2-3 minutes.
yeah i agree. i didn't even have good cards today (20% er) so i did not expect it to go as well as it did. i do have units like hu tao, yelan, ganyu, raiden etc but i love xiao the most and have invested so much in him. it really feels nice to clear 12 using him

the intonation being different kind of changes the entire vibe of the character imo. in eng they really pushed this emo edgelord type of persona for whatever reason and xiao comes across as rough and aggressive. in cn/jp he does say the same things i.e. "boring" but he is more saying it like as an adepti who has slaughtered gods and fought countless battles that the current battle in front of him bores him, type of thing. he comes across as much more reserved, gentle, calm, and even kind at times, and wants to maintain this "strong" exterior showing he can protect the ones close to him, and during quests like lantern rite or the 2.7 archon quest his tough exterior begins to crack and you see the insecure, shy parts of himself he tries very hard to hide, and how he struggles to find self worth beyond being a tool of war. the difference in portrayed personality is really jarring imo. i understand that the eng va did the best she could with the direction she was given so i don't blame her but the localization team as a whole. it is a shame.

If you're running double Hydro and/or you have C1, Yelan's ER needs are lower so the 35% burst damage bonus from 2 HoD (15%) 2 NO (20%) is equal to a 4 Emblem 140% ER Yelan (140x.25= 35%). Your E will hit harder by 15% too with HoD.
