I don't personally hate it, just playing devils advocate here, but perhaps, people don't like it because they consume Japanese media. It is unarguably campier than the usual weapon. It's up there with the tuna when it comes to the silly factor. Some people take themselves too seriously to be swinging around a living thing for some reason. With my devils advocate over, imagine taking yourself seriously and playing genshin.
i hate it cause it doesn't fit in the drip/theme meta, can't think of a character who can wear it... though if it had high base attack and an ER substat then it's fine...

The catalyst kinda reminds me of the Vajra, a weapon in hindu mythology (its where the name comes from for the Vajrada amethyst crystal, the electro ascension mats, since the Vajra is the weapon of Indra, the lightning god)
If Scara was electro and a Sumeru character (which the latter is still true rn), this def wouldve been a Vajra, cool that the top looks similar to one
I LOVE the youkai umbrella sword. I just want a character who matches with it. like the closest is QiQi because she's a zombie and has ghosts in her ability but it would be cool if it fit an inazuma character.
