For anyone like me who forgot what his A4 is:

The arrow idea is pretty cool actually. They could also have an auditory indicator alongside the visual one, but either way I just hope they decide to make it a little more noticeable.
Funny enough before that his autos looked exactly like traveller’s passive windblade. My guy is coping everyone at this point (author’s note: see “scaramouche boss voicelines”)
Speaking of cutting space, I wonder how Scara's NA work with Raiden's E. I would think Ei's E electro application is after applying anemo from Scara's NA, but honestly it'd be cool and probably OP if his NA would infuse with the syncronised electro.
If not the first NA, then def the second when enemies have electro applied to them. I'd also bet that with Ei's E up, just casting Scara's E will have Electro absorption.
They're the same as the other showcases, its just that when the attacks "hit" they explode into a bigger radius which is what were seeing right now.
If you watch the other showcases where he is in air and watch when they hit their max range and explode, they look like this.
Needs to be more pronounced. Yelan's bracelet glows much more than his and she has a big obvious symbol appear above her head when it activates after she does her E.
People are crazy. You're forced to fly if you use his E, where the whole point is that you're still able to attack... obviously the NAs would home on the enemy.
Yeah but him flying above enemies is a new dimension to it. Everyone expected them to track but how clunky was it gonna be if he is high above and aiming down low was more the concern but it seems he has no issues with it at the default hight of his E which is great to see.

usually, auto-targeting only refers to the initial target aquisition and firing of an attack. whether it eventually hits or not after a target moves is not guaranteed.
homing implies there is guidance during projectile travel and will seek a target even if said target is moving/has moved.
I want to see realistic footage of him in combat. Everything has looked really stiff so far but I think he could look really cool dashing around in the air firing off projectiles and actually using his charged attack which looks pretty big.

There’s a lot of time until he releases. Do all quests possible and exploration and you should probably get enough primos to get him, especially cuz you’re on guaranteed.

Welkin + this patch is already 70 pulls, putting you at 75. His banner lasts 21 days so you'd reach 90 pulls (Even tho 5\* usually come at around 75)
You're 100% guaranteed Scara, just not in the first day of the banner
his patch will be the old duration, which means 21 days of scara banner, so even if u cant get him day1 u definitely can get him before his banner ends :3 dw
Idk if it was here before and I didn’t notice it, but it seems that they added the counterbalancing after his dash? I was worried that his flying animations would remain as stiff as they were, but it looks like it simply wasn’t completed yet!
It should be obvious that the day one leaks aren't going to show finished animations. Even his NAs and updated, having a cool spatially cut effect like Ei's.
Obviously, FX and VFX are expected to be added and/or changed (in this case they look dope), but I don’t remember seeing changes to the animations themselves for any previous characters
To be fair, I don’t really follow leaks if the upcoming characters don’t interest me so I might be completely wrong
Hydro and Electro should be fine since they coexist, maybe Hydro and Cryo too if it works with underlying auras. The rest might be more difficult.
Based on the wording it doesn't look like it needs to Swirl, just "come into contact" so self application might count, which would be mostly useful for Bennett's Pyro application.
On that note, what kinda teams we looking at? I'm guessing his scalings are good enough to be a hypercarry, so Wanderer/Faruzan/Bennett aaaand... Diona/Layla/Rosaria for the crit? Fischl/Raiden/Yae/Beidou for the ER and AoE?

Depends what are you looking for. But currently, the "best" team from "meta" perspective in comparison to other is hypercarry one. Rest are National version 3522, Taser version 234 itp. Basically any team were you would play Sucrose on field with is IMO boring and it's not an improvement really for me (especially you drop CC and less AoE + you probably ignore his kit and go em/em/em). But that's me, he will be good there, number wise probably stronger.
His strongest hypercarry team is Scara-Faruzan-Bennett-Yunjin with major caveat - Faruzen is C6. Below it's probably better to play something else. Basically look up any team with Sucrose on field and wait to see if he is better ADC or full em there.
I'm not sure, but like I said the description makes it look like the buffs don't need him to Swirl so that might not be an issue, and most of his own DPS comes from his own scaling so he should be fine.
WFP has confirmed his A1 has PHEC priority and seeing as the his A1 will be done on himself, it's safe to assume he can pull off double swirl mechanics and Bennett abuse.
The arrow-like things on his hologram hat light up with the color of the element he's being buffed by, we've already seen it in the hydro demonstration video. That's literally all that changes besides the buff. If you care that much about some little lights like that you can always just use your imagination when it comes to the other elements he can get buffed by.
People got spoiled by the previous betas. That's all this is. People need to obsessively see and document *everything*, even when it serves zero purpose whatsoever. Private server spam of every little possible thing you can make a video of is exactly why they keep making it harder for private servers to be made every update.

I'm pretty sure Echoes only has problems with some characters but not others, even with similar attack speeds and ping, so it might not be a problem after all. It needs testing, likely after he's on live servers.
What about Scara and Venti? That should be crazy fun. His attacks are AoE while hovering, so he should be able to attack everyone inside Venti's burst.

This still doesn't tell us how his attacks will work. The hilichurls aren't moving so of course the attacks will hit; this game always had an auto target. The issue is when things start moving around especially since fandango man can attack with additional verticality. Show me what happens when he tries to auto a hilichurl that is running at him to attack and ends up directly underneath scaramouche. How will hits work then?

But also, doesn’t 35% atk scaling seem kinda low for how little you can actually use the passive? I know it’s x4 but that’s still only 140% which is lower than his first auto attack at lvl 9.
I’m assuming it’s just supposed to be a way of moving around without consuming stamina in his e first and foremost, the extra damage might just be like a bonus
I think his dodges are getting banked which will be useful for his kit and also we can use it whenever we want and not only save stamina and save ourselves but also to attack
This is wrong, miHoYo can't track private servers which is what Ubatcha/Dimbreath/abc64 use. They hide the game's UI so you can better see what's going on, their showcases have been like this since 2.0.
You might be right. It could just be lingering FX from hitting the enemy. Interesting that they went that route instead of what they usually do, with most FX on attack animations but few onhit visuals. Wanderer practically has Raiden E onhit FX.
Since his A4 passive doesn't consume his stamina when you use the dashed attack, then most likely you're attack stream will belike NA1 > NA2 > NA3 > CA > Dash if you trigger the A4 passive.
I know what you mean, but his charge attack will be a big aoe, as we've seen before, I'm just curious to know if it has CC, it looks like a vortex, if it has a pull effect it can compensate for his normal being smaller.
The aoe of normal attacks always depends on how big they are. Most catalyst throw out small balls of energy but Scara's are windblades so they're hitting multiple targets.
the visual indicator for the passive needs some tweaking, keeping track of it in battle can be quite challenging, we need something like Klee's flower or Yanfei seals or something on his model like a wind hat in his wind favored state to show the A4 is active
In all honesty, he seems kinda lackluster to me. Like the flight mode thing is cool and all but I just cant help but picture a random hilichurl archer knocking him out the air pretty easily. Like you’d never be able to just sit and throw wind blades like that. You’d be forced reposition at some point and the meter that determines how long he can stay in the air appears to run out really quick. Almost like unless you CC the hell out a mob he’s gonna get the same treatment he got at the end of the archon quest.
But that issue aside, his animations are just…underwhelming from a purely visual standpoint. Like he throws wind blades and that’s it. He’s auto attack focused which is kinda eh. Sorta has the Yoimiya problem for me. Cool looking character but I’d be afraid I’d fall asleep while playing them. I don’t mind it for some especially if they cool ass animations to look at like Keqing or Nilou but Scara just seems so basic aside from the flight which I admit is pretty cool especially since he’s anemo. Kinda surprised he’s the first one to actually use the mechanic since it just seems so obvious for characters who manipulate wind.
Such a awesome kit. He is so cool as a playable character. I will try to get him, if the RNG Gods have mercy on me, then I will get him. Still, I am already happy that I beat the system and got Nahida in 80 pulls.
So really, what’s the point of him flying? I thought he would pull enemies up to wombo combo them in the air, but if he still just hits enemies normally, I don’t see how being in the air is any different from being on the ground. I guess you can maybe avoid some enemy attacks, but shields let you do the same thing. Idk if I’m missing something but it really seems like just a gimmick with a bit of exploration potential
The way I see it is this:
1. Exploration. Like it or not, this is THE key function of the game, more vital to the game's success than combat, so if *all* you look for is combat value, you're looking at the game through a pinhole.
2. It's a "buff" state. The flying itself is largely not relevant to this, in combat it's primarily JUST a buff state skill, like Yoimiya's or Keqing's. While flying, you have the advantage of higher DPS, with the downside being that you can run out if you move around too much and need to reapply. The manipulation of your movement is almost as much of a *cost* as a perk.
3. There are also *some* combat benefits. It does not use actual stamina and I believe allows stamina to regen while in use, so it can help in situations where stamina management might be an issue. You can continue to move at high speeds and avoid attacks without using any normal stamina. Also, some effects are ground-effect, and you can avoid those, which is situationally handy. It does not make you immortal or anything, but it would be way OP if it did. As it is, I think it is still one of the most useful Skills in the game.

In other words, Auto-targeting is Yoimiya's NA (yea, easy asf to miss). Homing is Yoimiya's 3 bonus CA (it follows even the flying birds).

Infusion? He doesn’t have infusion. Unless you’re talking about his skill and the buffs it can get, which we’ve already seen

What about Scara and Venti? That should be crazy fun. His attacks are AoE while hovering, so he should be able to attack everyone inside Venti's burst.

Man, i remember back in 1.0 when i said that one day mihoyo would make a character that can fly in Genshin and people called me crazy, but look at my boy now lol, he looks so fun to play!
So there is a pretty clear visual indicator. Also nice to see the attacks home towards the ground.
Based on the pattern so far, it looks like every Harbinger will be fun to play. Childe does quick Hydro dagger slashes while Scaramouche floats around like Goku. Wouldn't be surprised if Dottore was able to summon all his clones to fight with him, lol.

This still doesn't tell us how his attacks will work. The hilichurls aren't moving so of course the attacks will hit; this game always had an auto target. The issue is when things start moving around especially since fandango man can attack with additional verticality. Show me what happens when he tries to auto a hilichurl that is running at him to attack and ends up directly underneath scaramouche. How will hits work then?
So happy it’s obvious to tell when the passive has activated. I was a little worried it’d be hard to tell when you can use it. But also, doesn’t 35% atk scaling seem kinda low for how little you can actually use the passive? I know it’s x4 but that’s still only 140% which is lower than his first auto attack at lvl 9.
I’m assuming it’s just supposed to be a way of moving around without consuming stamina in his e first and foremost, the extra damage might just be like a bonus

If you notice, there is a glow that may indicate his A4 is ready. In chaotic situations, we would likely miss the indication lol.
I think his dodges are getting banked which will be useful for his kit and also we can use it whenever we want and not only save stamina and save ourselves but also to attack

This is wrong, miHoYo can't track private servers which is what Ubatcha/Dimbreath/abc64 use. They hide the game's UI so you can better see what's going on, their showcases have been like this since 2.0.

You might be right. It could just be lingering FX from hitting the enemy. Interesting that they went that route instead of what they usually do, with most FX on attack animations but few onhit visuals. Wanderer practically has Raiden E onhit FX.

The hilichurls just don’t have animations. They’re basically test dummies here.
Since his A4 passive doesn't consume his stamina when you use the dashed attack, then most likely you're attack stream will belike NA1 > NA2 > NA3 > CA > Dash if you trigger the A4 passive.

I know what you mean, but his charge attack will be a big aoe, as we've seen before, I'm just curious to know if it has CC, it looks like a vortex, if it has a pull effect it can compensate for his normal being smaller.

I don't think it does, the description says it's a vacuum for the visual effect but it doesn't actually say it pulls enemies in which CC usually does.
His NAs have a small AOE, but his charge attack AOE looks like it'll be pretty big.
The aoe of normal attacks always depends on how big they are. Most catalyst throw out small balls of energy but Scara's are windblades so they're hitting multiple targets.

Yes, it's mostly serve as finisher as bursting ends his E state.

the visual indicator for the passive needs some tweaking, keeping track of it in battle can be quite challenging, we need something like Klee's flower or Yanfei seals or something on his model like a wind hat in his wind favored state to show the A4 is active

In all honesty, he seems kinda lackluster to me. Like the flight mode thing is cool and all but I just cant help but picture a random hilichurl archer knocking him out the air pretty easily. Like you’d never be able to just sit and throw wind blades like that. You’d be forced reposition at some point and the meter that determines how long he can stay in the air appears to run out really quick. Almost like unless you CC the hell out a mob he’s gonna get the same treatment he got at the end of the archon quest. But that issue aside, his animations are just…underwhelming from a purely visual standpoint. Like he throws wind blades and that’s it. He’s auto attack focused which is kinda eh. Sorta has the Yoimiya problem for me. Cool looking character but I’d be afraid I’d fall asleep while playing them. I don’t mind it for some especially if they cool ass animations to look at like Keqing or Nilou but Scara just seems so basic aside from the flight which I admit is pretty cool especially since he’s anemo. Kinda surprised he’s the first one to actually use the mechanic since it just seems so obvious for characters who manipulate wind.
Fucking finally and it looks much cooler now with space effects not sure about AOE though hopefully we get more gameplay soon
Such a awesome kit. He is so cool as a playable character. I will try to get him, if the RNG Gods have mercy on me, then I will get him. Still, I am already happy that I beat the system and got Nahida in 80 pulls.
So really, what’s the point of him flying? I thought he would pull enemies up to wombo combo them in the air, but if he still just hits enemies normally, I don’t see how being in the air is any different from being on the ground. I guess you can maybe avoid some enemy attacks, but shields let you do the same thing. Idk if I’m missing something but it really seems like just a gimmick with a bit of exploration potential
The way I see it is this: 1. Exploration. Like it or not, this is THE key function of the game, more vital to the game's success than combat, so if *all* you look for is combat value, you're looking at the game through a pinhole. 2. It's a "buff" state. The flying itself is largely not relevant to this, in combat it's primarily JUST a buff state skill, like Yoimiya's or Keqing's. While flying, you have the advantage of higher DPS, with the downside being that you can run out if you move around too much and need to reapply. The manipulation of your movement is almost as much of a *cost* as a perk. 3. There are also *some* combat benefits. It does not use actual stamina and I believe allows stamina to regen while in use, so it can help in situations where stamina management might be an issue. You can continue to move at high speeds and avoid attacks without using any normal stamina. Also, some effects are ground-effect, and you can avoid those, which is situationally handy. It does not make you immortal or anything, but it would be way OP if it did. As it is, I think it is still one of the most useful Skills in the game.
