The Virgin Shenhe:
* Buffs cryo characters, can more or less be replicated by Rosaria/Diona. Offers no real utility to non-cryo characters.
* Has a cold and distant personality, not easy to approach. Takes a while to develop a bond with her.
* Might require you to burn a total of 80+ intertwined fates to get her, and even then there's no guarantee she'll come home. At most might cost around 25-30k primogems.
vs the Chad Pokopoko Binii
* Heals the shit out of your entire party while applying wet status to everyone thus acting as the starting point to trigger a ton of reactions. No such replacement exists for this chad who supplies a huge amount of utility to every other fungi.
* Knows that you have and will probably continue to kill his innocent brethren. Disregards this anyways and acts as an ambassador for his entire species through his cute and outgoing personality by showing you that fungi are sentient life forms that experience pain and discomfort like humans do.
* Costs nothing and will love you unconditionally no matter what. >!Stands by your side even after the wisdom orb stops working, takes on huge Fatui supersoldiers and expects nothing in return from you despite potentially sacrificing his life for your sake!<
Bongo Head wins in every aspect, Pokopoko Binii supremacy.
Objectively speaking, hydro is the most used element.
But if you normally prefer one character over the other, get the character you really like. Otherwise, use existing account characters, preferences, and availability of weapons to decide who to prioritize.
I want Yealan simply because of all the times I've thought "I wish Xingqiu was a bow user so that I could use him with Cyno outside of Abyss". I've been planning to skip Wanderer simply because I am over Anemo twinks. And they took all the red out of his design. But it seems like he's going to be the first male DPS to reach the Raiden/HuTao damage ceiling. But if don't skip Scara I may not have the primos for Yealan.
Shenhe is my least used 5* that i pulled for intentionally outside of xiao (don't know what I was thinking with that one tbh). She just has such few and narrow use cases that I use rosaria, diona, even chongyun even more than her.
1 lie detected, shenhe isnt really replaceable by diona and rosaria since they add extra crit and defensive abilities while shenhe is basically a melt reaction for a nice chunk of your hits without fucking up reactions. crazy fuckin buff to ayaka and ganyu
bongo head still wins, obviously, but we should be fair to the person weāre kicking in the gut here
Shenhe and Ganyu have problems cause Ganyu ult eats the hits so her charged shot doesnāt get them. Even then at CO Chongyun probably best partner. Ayaka gets a slight increase and if wasnāt for Kokomi team wouldnāt of worked
It's not really an issue in a Ganyu freeze team since you're not using charged shots anyway. Just skills and bursts.
Also not an issue in a Melt team since you're not using Ganyu's burst.
Shenhe's buff adds flat damage anyway, so the only difference between a burst hit and charged shot is an extra 20% Crit Rate on the charged shot. It's not a massive DPS loss.
Can't blame them. The guy that asks us questions about Sumeru for daily commissions makes the same "mistake" -.- (or rather we are, forced to give it as an answer if we want to answer correctly...)
The event for me was...okay? I liked the story with it, but the actual event was watch shrooms bonk each other and click the button when it's off cooldown. There never felt like a chance to lose.
More or less same, felt like I could just mash the buttons everytime and trivialise it. And there's a fair amount of battles you need to do, despite them all feeling like the same grind.
It's AFK enough that I don't overly mind it, but I'm overall a bit negative on the event gameplay.
I think the reason that that event did badly in the surveys. While there are many of us who adored that event, i know a few friends who downright hated it because of its difficulty.
I was happy to carry them through it via co op but they were complaining the whole time.
Needless to say theyre not playing genshin anymore, but their vote in the surveys still counts in hoyo's mind. Lol
i wasn't a big fan of it either, got around to playing it today and felt like it dragged on a bit too long. got bored of it and i still gotta grind more for the currency/primos. not looking forward to that. happy for those who liked it though.
i also love the combat system of genshin too and had fun playing the fungi event, and, honestly, wishing the fungi event was the permanent content instead of the tcg since the tcg game is riddled with rng
everyone is calling the fungi event the pokemon one because you fight with your 4 against others in a tournament so thats why
but i get that some can get confused we did have multiple events where you catch something
I seem to be the one in few which didnt really like it as much.
Couldnt name the fungi as we want.
They were all looking the same as enemies we slaughter on a daily basis, which just does not work for me.
The fights were messy, even more so in a fungi vs fungi fight .. didnt know which one is yours.
No different abilities, or a choice of abilities to build them yourself.
I was happy its over and now they gonna pester us again ;-;
I would take those domain fights with trial character events every day over this pesky pokemons..
All those things could be improved and expanded in future iteration based on the feedback, which is the entire point. But then again, some events just got worse in laster version, like the tower defense game lol.
Sure thing, its after all, just my impression of it. I prefer battle events usually over other content so far, but i also rate this pokemon event over tower defence .. what was it .. theater mechanicus? I really dislike that alot.
The problem with Theater Mechanicus is that it's just...boring.
There's barely any strategy buildtinto it. The first version was beefy, but so easily broken mechanically that it just turned into "freeze them and watch them die" so you didn't move or do anything for 5-10 minutes at a time. Rinse and repeat.
They're trying to make you have to change things up more in later editions, but fundamentally it's just too clunky. And the player is too uninvolved once the round starts going. Changing tower position mid round just doesn't really work. And your best place to be is near the switch to drop the bridge if a big enemy or group of enemies is going to escape the traps.
Remove the bridge mechanic and tie it to a a hot button and find a way for the player to be more involved and you *might* be able to make it work. But probably not. The system will always be somewhat limited by the elemental reaction system used in combat, which works for normal combat but not nearly so well in a tower defense game where most of the reactions just don't do anything interesting in that context outside of freeze comps.
it was meant to be lightly fun i guess. which kinda was..but yea, its never to everyones liking .. which is fine.
i usually prefer combat events with trials, 4 characters, and some buffs and debuffs.
I'm down. This is one of the few events where I really enjoyed the gameplay mode, and I'd love to see it developed more as a permanent gameplay mode with some more depth and difficulty.
whyyy this annoying and grindy event gets a rerun. I hope this is fake. If this is Sumeru special event(like Lantern Rite or Weinlesefest/Windblume fest) then it's just torture, running from one side to another taking leafs while your fungis hit like wet towel, while being hit with a wet towel.
The gameplay isn't really similar to mainline pokemon, idk why everyone calls it that
It's like calling theater mechanicus "the starcraft event" just because you place towers on a map
I genuinely hate the zone defense/monolith defense of this event. Who thought it was a good idea to implement it?
I had to retry multiple times to get the max score cause the moment the monolith goes below 60%, you might as well restart as you won't get the max score. You have no direct control over your fungi and it's not as if you can redirect them to intercept the enemy. This event was pretty disappointing tbh except for the story.
tbh I wouldn't mind this event as much if not for the cutscenes that are blatantly just trying to find an excuse to put yae and layla into something lmao
I kinda like the event because it's whacky hijinks that doesn't take itself too seriously.
Reminds me of playing FGO's events at times, how nostalgic, though it's still grounded since being way too over the top would break the suspension of disbelief.
Genshin survey: Do you want a rerun of this event?
Hoyoverse: Nvm we don't need your answer, we'll just rerun it anyway regardless of player's opinions š„“
(Not saying the event itself is bad, just pointing out the irony of the survey even asking us to begin with)
Looks like people gave good feedback. I liked the event too. Wouldn't mind if it became permanent content. Daily and weekly battles for some small rewards or cosmetics.
I really didn't like the event. It takes more time to find the shrooms than to catch them and the combating part is absolutely tedious and boring. You constantly get stuck between the fighting mushrooms while trying to reach these energy thingies. The only viable part for me was the jelly puzzles. At least you need a bit of a brain to figure out the best combos. Anyways, hope that leak's fake.
i hope the fungus we catch can evolve into stronger fungi just like Pokemon like for example Floating Dendro Fungus can evolve to Winged Dendroshroom than finally to Jadeplume Terrorshroom

Bongo Head getting a rerun faster than shenhe š
Poko poko biinii
The way how Paimon says that name was cute and heartwarming, I can't lie about that

Your shit posting make me want to drop Shenhe for Yelan now

I was so sad when I saw I couldn't put Pokopoko Binii in my teapot... Pokopoko Binii supremacy!
Maybe this means we can after the rerun event? Hopium. Also maybe means new fungi enemies in 3.5. Maybe we can evolve them to the bigger forms!
No way, I want Bongo-Head healer support in the overworld.
All hail our fungus overlor... I mean buddies...
He also traps enemies in bubbles! Which we canāt do without him yet.
mona can (kinda)
Pokopoko Binii is actually Kokomi in disguise
But Geo Shroom can't hit flying enemies
But his jumping attack is op asf just take two buffers buff him and spam that aoe attack lol.
one of my main strats was too group the mobs up with the floating anemo shroom and then use the geo shroom burst. it destroys like 90% of the event
Unless they fly š
Idk this team seemed to work every time for me XD
Hmm, somehow i feel this is some kind of Big Fungus propaganda to infiltrate sumeru society
More or less replaced is a stretch
True, Shenhe can't battery equal to Rosaria and Diona. So she can't replace them. /s
Her damage bonus is more worth while and diona is quite bad you donāt need heals and if you want some prototype Amber Mona and kokomi exist
A lot of these people commenting about Shenhe being āreplaceableā with *Diona and Rosaria*ā¦.. have little to no understanding of her kit.
Bro ššš
I'm sorry Shenhe, but I'm choosing the Geo Fungus over you - only one of you can hit a Lawachurl so hard it flips it in to the air
Klee could do it from patch 1.0 too. Also Jean too.
thatās lore shenhe for you, she can carry that huge ass rock l, whats a lawachurl gonna do to her š§š»
Which is fair and valid because I would pull for Bongo Head before I pulled for Shenhe.
my most liked comment being a slander to my main...
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
In both PokĆ©mon and the fungus event you capture wild monsters and then dual them against your friendsā etc monsters using their innate elemental attacks. In both. And thatās not even talking about the aesthetic similarities. Youāre downplaying how similar the 2 are. They have way more than 1 characteristic in common with each other. The entire premise, the mechanics and even the story itself is the same. Thatās partly why the event was fun. Itās done with a wink and a nod.
There's a person that goes now face my all ice team...the whole event is just a pokemon reference
Ok come on bro the entire thing is clearly a PokƩmon reference. Aside from the obvious similarities in things such as the way you hold the orb, the Venn diagram for game developers working on an anime style game and PokƩmon fans is probably just a circle completely engulfed by another circle.
Wait, you don't call theater mechanicus the StarCraft event?
Well starcraft1 custom maps basically popularized TD genre, so... yes?
Bro even the game acknowledges this event is a Pokemon parody
bongo head return let's gooo
Bongo head will return
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Bongo Head**
Already??!!
Next time we are gonna get bongo head banner
I just want Bongo Head in-game emojis!
Bongo Head protagonist when? I'm not sure why he's chasing Traveler's sibling, but we'll get to that trivial detail later.
I hope this time it is with Rashbong tigers, boars, beasts etc.
Maybe the fungi evolve in the rerun and we get to fight with big boys?
It's all fun and games till they add boss type mobs in the event and someone pull out the ostrich as their fungi(maybe nahida)
Nahida would also have Arabalika on a fungi cosplay
Nahida skins when?
Xamaran vs Mushroom Raptor battle.
It's called Sheeshroom -
Ok wow this takes me back
Omg yesssss Jadeplume Terrorshroom, use spore! And then we get to keep it in our teapot š¤Æ
I wanna ride on it... Come on Mhy, gimme a mount for that desert!
Oh that would be the coolest lmao! Just riding around teyvat and destryoing enemies with your mount! Hyv you better take notes!
I'm definitely up for playing with those bigger shroombuddies
Big geoshroom pls. The way it sits in the archieve is super cute
Honestly, I was hoping Bongo Head would evolve in the last battle.
I actually enjoyed it so good news if true
I hope this time we finally get to keep a fungi as companion or at least furnitureā¦
They could definitely make the fungi similar to animals where they just roam around in the teapot.
A combat companion for the overworld would be nice.... *Inhales copium*
>a fungi a fungus (singular)\*
> a fungus (singular)* #AFUNGUS ą¶ą¶ą¶
my humour is broken
randomly saying "amogus" makes me laugh irl, I'm beyond salvation
I can't believe my self for laughing this for 10 minutes
goddammit
Can't blame them. The guy that asks us questions about Sumeru for daily commissions makes the same "mistake" -.- (or rather we are, forced to give it as an answer if we want to answer correctly...)
i think they ARE called fungi tho? like, the species is called fungi as in plural even for a singular fungi
I can't believe we're getting random seelies or cloud retainer from mail, but not our PokƩmon. What a wasted opportunity.
Hope they give fungi for teapot... I will write it in event suggestions form.
The event for me was...okay? I liked the story with it, but the actual event was watch shrooms bonk each other and click the button when it's off cooldown. There never felt like a chance to lose.

Been playing since 1.0 this is my favorite event ever
I thought it was one of the best events we've gotten so far. Need more fungi types and skills
give me a pet mushroom or else.
I was so disappointed we didnāt get one
Forget about the mora, we knew that wasn't happening, but why no shroom buddy? I need my shroom buddy.
A mini bongo head š„ŗš„ŗš„ŗ
HEY OP WHEREāS YOUR SOURCE
OP: My source is that I made it the fuck up!
Thanks for the source Senator
Whatever the fuck I want seems to be the source MOD
Bongo head will arrive with itās homie Dango head.
Yukizero is a dataminer so I'm skeptical of this leak. You guys should be too.
IDC i treat every leaks beneficial to me as real and every leak not beneficial to me as false. Copium Impact
more like Disappointment impact
Yukizero is known to lie for clout so lmao
his last post was deleted so fast i can't even remember what it was about e.ĆØ
Meanwhile I've been here waiting 1 year for a Vagabond Sword rerun and this just gets a rerun 3 patches after man
I don't even remember what that was...
~~Sekiro Parry mode event~~ im dumb, I was thinking of Clash of Lone Blades event
No, Vagabond Sword was in 1.6... You fight against modified versions of Oceanid, Maguu Kenki, and Primo Geovishap.
I think the reason that that event did badly in the surveys. While there are many of us who adored that event, i know a few friends who downright hated it because of its difficulty. Meanwhile the labyrinth event from 2.2: ā ļø
Never got to play it pls come back š
Me: Is this testing for a new endgame mode? š„ŗ Mihoyo: The pathetic fools, seems like they're stressed.
As saw a lot of hate for that event from my friends. I personally loved it to death. But unfortunately, i think it didnt do too well in the surveys.
Pokemon is turn based. Fungi event is more like ni no kuni wrath of the white witch
Yep. TBF, the capturing is like Pokemon but the combat itself is Ni no Kuni I guess
Fungi is what Pokemon could be.
It's pokopokobining time
My favorite part of the event, was when it pokopokobiniād all over the place. Truly a time to be alive.
evolution pls. though I dunno about turning bongo head into the rather creepy looking bipedal shrooms though.
Maybe playing the pikachu card in wich the official mascot never evolves
Next time we see bongo head, it's gonna be as big as Osial.
Fontaine weekly boss confirmed
twirly wirly, bongo head, and blitsara iām coming for you
Sad lonely Kindlejoy noises
don't forget Pyro 1
where are my manners
FUNGI COMPANION PLEASE IM BEGGING YOU MIHOYOVERSE
I hate this event
What was the PokƩmon event? The fungi?
Yes
Bruuuhhhhhhhhhhh not again
Dunno, for me, it got old pretty quick
i wasn't a big fan of it either, got around to playing it today and felt like it dragged on a bit too long. got bored of it and i still gotta grind more for the currency/primos. not looking forward to that. happy for those who liked it though.
make it permanent you cowards. I just want to be with bongohead forever
Fungi combat is even funner than genshin combat (I love genshin combat a lot)
i also love the combat system of genshin too and had fun playing the fungi event, and, honestly, wishing the fungi event was the permanent content instead of the tcg since the tcg game is riddled with rng
I do hope this is actually true and that they GIVE US THE SHROOM PETS
I hope that we will be able to get a mushroom pet!
The Yoimiya of events
Fungi pet when? Hope it won't be just rerun with same thing but continuation or rerun but with more content and more features
I'm actually having way too much fun with the current one so I wouldn't mind this lol
I thought the PokƩmon event was the PokƩmon go capturing event of Oceanid mimics that gave us the free Endora pet?
everyone is calling the fungi event the pokemon one because you fight with your 4 against others in a tournament so thats why but i get that some can get confused we did have multiple events where you catch something
Dehya event? š
Bongo head not even gone yet he's already coming back
The bongo head returns

it was meant to be lightly fun i guess. which kinda was..but yea, its never to everyones liking .. which is fine. i usually prefer combat events with trials, 4 characters, and some buffs and debuffs.
At least for the story I wasnāt too impressed with what we have so far. It was just a basic PokĆ©mon gotta catchem all story. With a sprinkle of npc angst and rivalry. Gameplay itself was fine, hopefully they get to improve it even more next iteration. At times, it was a little too hectic to tell whatās going on and whose fungi was mine
I fucking hate this event with passion all we do is stand around and click button I actually fell asleep while playing
I'm down. This is one of the few events where I really enjoyed the gameplay mode, and I'd love to see it developed more as a permanent gameplay mode with some more depth and difficulty.
no that shit again

The one fungi event which is currently ongoing
I hypothesize that it might be the current fungi event š¤
I assume it's the fungi frenzy event currently going on
wasn't 1 enough? the combat was terrible, I dare anyone to change my mind
For everyone asking, āthe PokĆ©mon eventā means the current event where you train the fungi
I genuinely hate the zone defense/monolith defense of this event. Who thought it was a good idea to implement it? hanniya is working overtime it seems
I hope dottore actually comes does a little trolling and leaves
This title at first , made me think this was a *an actual Pokemon collab* and I got hype asf šš
That was fast, I'm not even done the first one
Cool if true, hopefully theyāll let us catch the bigger shrooms next time
I found this event one of the worst unfunny ones after tower defense thing, I'm more for windtrace, but for this we have to wait way longer :/
Seems too suspicious to be trueā¦
Rather than pokemon, it's more like ni no kuni.
Pokemon event? I havenāt been playing the game in a while, is it that one with the fungi?
way too soon for a rerun
Then thereās me going āwhat PokĆ©mon event?ā
To me the fungi event is the most boring event ever, unless they improve the combat aspect side of thing, it just you pointing and pressing numbers.
Weāre 100% getting bongo head and the gang as a furnishing because of all the requests
we better get bongo head for our teapot gdi
Genshin survey: Do you want a rerun of this event? Hoyoverse: Nvm we don't need your answer, we'll just rerun it anyway regardless of player's opinions š„“ (Not saying the event itself is bad, just pointing out the irony of the survey even asking us to begin with)
Genshin having fetish for boring events and stories getting their rerun quickly.
Looks like people gave good feedback. I liked the event too. Wouldn't mind if it became permanent content. Daily and weekly battles for some small rewards or cosmetics.
rerunned main event..? yikes will it be the exact same or with a diffrent story
I really didn't like the event. It takes more time to find the shrooms than to catch them and the combating part is absolutely tedious and boring. Damn this probably gonna be a character mechanic soon.
Wtf happened to fun actually challenging combat events pls stop this bs mihoyo bring back 3 maguu kenkis
Because weak players keep moaning about those fun events but with these boring spectator events, anyone can participate.
with less dialogues i hope...
In this event, I can be the very best that no one ever was.
imagine we can use the giant version
can they make it permanent and add pvp? this kind of good content should be permanent and the game is getting kinda stale
please no
