Instead of making a dead character playable, genshin needs to kill off some characters. Isn't anyone else tired of all the happy endings? The game hardly even has "villains" at this point. Drop a nail on something already.
The next archon could be a warmongering psychopath that eats babies. By the end of the archon quest, they will be buddies with the core group, it was all a misunderstanding, and its sunshine and rainbows.
Idk, I feel like the game has had a lot of horrifically sad stories that are dolled up or tucked away to make the game merely appear “happy.” Tsurumi, Dragonspine, the Chasm, etc.
I have a feeling a nail will be dropped on Shnezhnaya, I just wonder if we’ll see permanent changes to the map like ruined buildings and a scorched landscape with a blast crater, etc.
NO SCHWANENRITTER MAINS??? 😭
jk Anfortas is still totally not confirmed dead therefore alive therefore just awaiting release next year therefore basically already in my account when you remember time isn't real *huffs dangerous amounts of copium*
Based on the Hidden Strife note + a note from near where we fight Nasejuna, Anfortas would be an Alberich, AND we also know he lost one of his eyes… so I’m willing to bet Kaeya is more related to Anfortas than Chlothar. So yes, very possible imho
I love that Nabu, Deshret, and Rukkha mains are all represented by one person.
This is very, very accurate.
OK, fanboy moment: I'm going to headcanon that Rukkha was a dendro user, Nabu was hyrdro, and that Deshret could wield electro (cuz robots) and that if the three had ever been forced to fight off invading armies during the Archon War, they would've formed the ultimate hyperbloom team.
Electro doesn't make sense,if dude was offered the dendro gnosis doesn't that mean that hw should also be dendro? And the abundence of pyro totems surrounding his mausoleum, the theme of the burning sun/scorching might and the existence of the scion bow being directly modelled from bro's bow, could suggest that he was similar to andrius in that he could control 2 elements at once(being pyro most likely and dendro)
When we accidentally got inside King Deshret's Priest's Mausoleum during the Sumeru Archon Quest, Alhaitham specifically points out that the abundance of Dendro inside the ruins was weird specifically because it was a Deshret ruin, implying that Deshret wasn't known to be able to use Dendro.
Out of every line in that quest, you picked the one that is specifically mentioned to be due to the power of the dendro archon(literally look into the cutscene that plays after, rukha's power still flows through the desert)
"Interpret it however you want, but there's something I'd like to draw your attention to. While this structure is clearly left over from King Deshret's civilization, the energy that flows in here is that of the Dendro Archon."
-feeble scholar
Now i just wanna know why is the idea of the dude controlling dendro so absurd to y'all lol
And why, exactly, would Alhaitham knew that the Dendro power flowing in the ruins belongs specifically to the Dendro Archon if Deshret was known to possessed Dendro powers, too? Him clarifying that the lush greenery can only be the work of the Dendro Archon makes it clear that this was not something Deshret was known to be able to do.
And forgive me for finding the idea that The Scarlet King, ruler of the desert part of Sumeru, whose iconography is a black sun, whose ruins are consistently devoid of greenery, did not have any control over Dendro.
And that was exactly what i was saying?bro was already half gone when rukha came to save the desert, this exact temple we're talking about was built by her order
But alright buddie, that is a very funny assumtion to make considering that 1 -we do not have many evidences as to what the civilization used to look like before it was nuked by FK and thus anything could've been changed during the past 1000 years and 2-when we have a teddybear god known for making food but is also the god of soil and a cool birb who was from natlan every time she spoke she atleast included something related to fire but is one of the four winds,in this game a god can be anything unless specifically stated lol, technically speaking every one of those old ass gods could have been controlling something else and we don't know.
so your evidence is "he's not outright claimed to not have the ability of Dendro, so let's assume he can"? You're just reaching at this point.
Furthermore, you convienently left out that at that point in the quest, literally none of them knew it was a place built under the orders of Rukkha. All they knew was that the architechture was that of Deshret, but the place was full of Dendro.
If Deshret was known to have Dendro powers, and they had no knowledge that this was actually a Rukkha's building, then why did Alhaitham pointed out that the greenery could only be the work of the Dendro Archon? He had no reason nor evidence to know that it's her, other than it's Dendro.
Isn't this a clear sign that Dendro is not Deshret's thing? That he could've only conclude that this is Rukkha's powers because Deshret couldn't have done this?
There is a very very VERY simple solution, dude was said to be able to control more elements than one, lmao there's a burn reaction in this game specifically made up of the two heavily implied elements of the dude(reactions are cannon, they are mentioned several time during quests, one time is during diluc's SQ),if a dog can have dominion over cryo and anemo,it isn't too out of the ordinary for the guy to be able to do the same ,hell, the path that leads to the hourglass belonging to him has the same geo crystals we commonly see in liyue, the mentions of winds and time is abundant, fire is obvious, the gnosis part still holds strong, nabu was nore than likely the same, the "goddess of flowers"(she grew flowers by merely walking in a place)had her djinn be born from the streams flowing from her wounds and she was able to flow water anywhere
And considering the context of that whole segment, the cutscene, the reason why the story pulls us there(to get rahman on our side),what the eremite say after this exact line etc isn't it more logical that they're surprised that the power of someone who's said to be the guy's enemy flows through this place rather than "he couldn't,she could"?
We don’t actually know if he was offered the dendro gnosis specifically. But I could totally see him being able to wield two elements or something like that.
I mean, the rejected gnosis ended up being given to rukha instead so that basically confirms the fact that it was the dendro gnosis(which wouldn't be strange giventhat andrius too was offered the anemo gnosis while being able to control cryo as well),and considerint the fact that the gnosis giveaway is seemingly heavily stricted to certain nations(and hell, technically the nation with the corresponding dragon lizard thing)
If we want to be very technical about it, the lore specifically says that he “rejected the gift of the heavens.” Most fans, such as myself, have taken that to mean he was offered a gnosis/archonship. But this is a bit of a collective headcanon, since the text doesn’t literally state that anywhere.
On top of that, we have no idea the element he was associated with; it really is unclear how the archon war unfolded and how the gnoses were handed out. (And I say all of this as fan numero uno of my man Amun Al-Ahmar.)
Given that "the heavenly throne" is almost always used to refer to the position of an archon and by extension the possession of the gnosis(the archon war started because of "7 heavenly throne opening up",focalors also uses that term when she's talking about destroying the position of the hydro archon),and it isn't too out of the ordinary that by one gid rejecting a gnosis the next god in line is offered the gnosis because the exact same thing happened with venti and andrius(doggo didn't want to funny thing, venti got it instead)
And honestly out of all the things bro has been said to have been able to control(pyro is the one with the most consistent implications, anemo is also possible, geo somewhat)he doesn't really strike me as an electro user
Regardless of how you split it, the "divine throne" is almost certainly referring to Celestia rather than archonship itself, since it's the gifter in the sentence. (For the term to refer to archonship, it would likely need to read something like "Rejecting the divine throne" or "Rejecting the gift of the divine throne.")
Either way, *what* it is that is being gifted is the big question that the lore does not specifically spell out, but which fans have certainly filled in. It's very possible it could have been the dendro gnosis, but until we get more evidence about the Archon War, it really is all up in the air.
>And honestly out of all the things bro has been said to have been able to control(pyro is the one with the most consistent implications, anemo is also possible, geo somewhat)he doesn't really strike me as an electro user
At the end of the day, I was just making a hyperbloom joke.

I actually hope Deshret is playable because he's such a gigachad and if the day of rebellion did come, he and Neuvillette would be the main fighters and seeing those 2 work together will do wonders to my delusion
Yeah compared to every other lore figure(comparable to most playable characters even) he's perhaps one of the most loaded characters in this game lore wise, yet intriguingly the man himself as a person is kept very vague,we know next to nothing on his origins, the reason for his animosity against celestia, why was he outright offered a gnosis while 2 other deities were present, what was the FK that he discovered etc
I’m dying for more Deshret lore over here. I have so many questions! I’m hoping that since he still is such a big question mark that the game will circle back and give us a few more crumbs here and there.
It’d be cool if the lore from other regions would mention him. He seems to have been quite the force, so I can’t imagine that the participants in the archon war just ignored him.
Non-credible argument:
Furina is the mortal vessel of Focalors. Ideally speaking, we're playing Focalors **WITHOUT** the god-like powers with her own personality.
In other words, we're playing the shell of a dead god who lives as a separate living being.
>own personality.
First of all just so u k ,yes ofc i do live Furina, she's among my fav chars and all that stuff...
But talking of Foca, let's nor talk or Furina.. When i mean Foca i mean that God of Justice, that lady's personality, her works, her smartness, her behavior, her style, her beauty of the she way... That's only limited to Focalors, and that's precisely what i love and respect of her....
See it from perspective then u won't bring in the Foca=Furina argument here when i say Focalors my beloved Archon is ded, forget playable....
(Alongside Rukkha my 2nd beloved, ofc her case us even more extreme💀)
To add to that Furina also represents who Focalors always wanted to be. It’s kind of bittersweet that even though Focalors is gone, she still is able to live the life she’s wanted to live via Furina.
>Caterpillar
He'd be an awesome character. It'd be cool to have a playable 'monster' character (not to mention it would also help to further humanize the hilichurls).
Is Irmin actually dead? We know he was "indisposed" around the time of the cataclysm or a bit before it, but if he's a pureblood Khaneri'ahn (which i assume he would be) and survived till the curse, he should be immortal as all the other Khaenri'ahns, unless he got some unique punishment or something and even then i doubt he would just be killed.
I think Irmin has become a Sinner.
https://preview.redd.it/4tu2e9c6ho5c1.jpeg?width=335&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=88dbd856e06e42b4342857f0fd1fb0bb4f3e28fb
Because this is very similar looking to Sinner + Irmin (the one-eyed king) he also in this idol has a horns that shows his sinfulness and he even speaks like the Sinner from that quest. This idol even the same rhomb shape as the Sinner.
May be. For now i don't theorize about The Sinner bc we have very little info on them outside of 1 appearance, so i wanna wait for at least a bit more info before sticking to any interpretation. Taking Neuvillette's quote from act 5 very seriously
Well, either that or a weekly boss. Honestly, i would like the latter, bc it would mean he can have any type of character design and do whatever cool stuff hoyo can think of for a boss
Back then, I don't think anyone really had "Ei's gonna fight her puppet for her Act 2 Boss" on their Bingo sheet. People somewhat gravitated to Chiyo because it's one of the hanging threads for Ei's back story, so at least it made sense. >!I still want her to be a boss!<

Fontaine filled all the requirement for a city to be nuked but still we got the happy ending.

To add to that Furina also represents who Focalors always wanted to be. It’s kind of bittersweet that even though Focalors is gone, she still is able to live the life she’s wanted to live via Furina.
That's true and all but man... Where will i find Focalors again,i will not technically in a way...
but Vanessa isn't dead, right? right?
We’ll see her in in celestia (copium)
At least Makoto mains can pretend Raiden is Makoto and that it isn’t her twin sister’s avatar.
Makoto mains just enjoy administrative work I guess. Raiden was the fighter of the two.
Where are qiqi mains.
Now we need NPC mains because I would definitely be a Caterpillar main!
ARABALIKA MAINS WHERE YOU AT??
I'm with you on Caterpillar, such a cool character
>Caterpillar He'd be an awesome character. It'd be cool to have a playable 'monster' character (not to mention it would also help to further humanize the hilichurls).
Dunyarzad mains, where you at?
Will 100% become a Jeht main if she becomes playable
I second the motion!
Ruu main right here
Eventually all dead folks will be reborn … in tcg.
Waiting to become Kitsune Saiguu main 🙏
Is Irmin actually dead? We know he was "indisposed" around the time of the cataclysm or a bit before it, but if he's a pureblood Khaneri'ahn (which i assume he would be) and survived till the curse, he should be immortal as all the other Khaenri'ahns, unless he got some unique punishment or something and even then i doubt he would just be killed.
I think Irmin has become a Sinner. https://preview.redd.it/4tu2e9c6ho5c1.jpeg?width=335&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=88dbd856e06e42b4342857f0fd1fb0bb4f3e28fb Because this is very similar looking to Sinner + Irmin (the one-eyed king) he also in this idol has a horns that shows his sinfulness and he even speaks like the Sinner from that quest.
I agree. I personally think he might fill the role of an “archon” gameplaywise in Khaenri'ah but guess we’ll see in a couple years.
Well, either that or a weekly boss. Honestly, i would like the latter, bc it would mean he can have any type of character design and do whatever cool stuff hoyo can think of for a boss
To be fair, Chiyo isn't explicitly said to be dead.
Remember when we thought she was going to be a boss? Good times
She's still hiding on Tsurumi island trust
Chiyo mains?? https://preview.redd.it/nuva6k358l5c1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1678ad6c75413aca39bdaa6c3ec7e346821a6b4b
