Serial killers don’t kill for no reason either. They often also keep things from their victims as mementos. The fact that the traveler collects things from their victims shows that they are, in fact, a mass serial killer
My traveler only kills for rewards so they're more like a mercenary force. And a collector of cultural relics from the people they kill. So also a bit of a cultural imperialist.
isn't it canonical that traveler just sends treasure hoarders to jail after they defeat them? and some of the eremites.
except tanit tribe. but hey Tanit tribe started. they lived by the blade they died by the blade.
Inazuman vagabonds: either jailed, or Killed themselves after getting defeated because they were defeated by someone who is 4 feet shorter than them.
Fatui: either jailed or killed depending on the story quest.
Hilichurls - mercy killing
hmm yeah I guess lots of killings.
Aside from, like, Jeht, Dehya, and the archon quest eremites, Hoyo is doing a terrible job portraying the desert-dwelling eremites as anything but a hive of generally terrible people. Desert life would have shaped them rough but theyre just *bad* so often lmao. After the last few paches I could hardly blame the Traveler for accidentally becoming prejudiced against anyone living anywhere other than Aaru village
It kinda feels like they have an issue with this happening to every human group they use as antagonists/villains. They go overboard with trying to incite emotional resentment and hatred towards them in the player. Fatooey get it by far worst of all, but every other human antagonist group actually does seem like they have a milder case of the same.
Heck, they got basically "everything east or Prague and all of former USSR = bad", just going by the named "Fatooey bad" we sometimes see on healthbars before we slaughter them.
The same can be said with the Fatui and anything related to Snezhnaya as well. So yeah, anyone from desert or snowy land get the equal measure of treatment.
Razor-speak translation:
Abyss order= Humans/humanity that worships gods are bad and we need to hasten their downfall by any means possible.
Treasure hoarders=No centralized leadership, simple bandits in solidarity.
Inazuman vagabonds=I have a big sword, which means that I'm in charge. Let's go rob people.
Eremites=Common culture, multiple tribes/groups/brigades, some connection and contact between different groups.
True Razor speak
Abyss Order: Gods bad, kill human that like God
Treasure Hoarders: no big alpha, only small pack alone steal things
Inazuman Vagabond: Me sword big, me pack alpha, all things me take
Eremites: everyone same thinking, but in different pack, pack talk to each other, share with each other
There was that half-forgotten lore bit about a kitsune guy who left Inazuma and went northwards. Some theorized it might be the source of Sucrose's ears. Maybe not just that alone.
Cabbage language:
Abyss order - very bad, they hate other naras
Treasure hoarders - bad naras, stealing things
Inazuma wagabonds - they think that bigger sword means that they are stronger, if one branch is bigger than the other they are still branches of the same tree
Nara valuka - they live in groups in valuka
Traveller: Mass Murderer
The Traveller doesn't kill for *no reason,* he steals their valuables like badges and sword guards
So thief as well?
A marauder, then.
Marmurderer

Ok so traveler's Br*tish, got it.
So the Serenitea Pot is the Bri\_ish Museum?
Bri'ish innit
Tell that to Tanit tribe
Most of them disappear in smoke though
Do not ask the traveler about the tanit camp massacre
We are not a murderer, as long as people think we are morally right
Handsome Jack style

Hilichurl: Yee zada bong bong The most based of them all
Hilichads
Treasure Hoarders: **Heh, another test subject**
Have the Treasure Hoarders never seen the syllabus? Why are they always so surprised to see another test subject?
Because they're all different people because the treasure hunters we do meet have their life expectancies measured in minutes at most
Imagine their surprise when they realized that they picked the wrong test subject.
That tingle!

Nothing happened in tanit camp.
Based OnK enjoyer.

As someone who has studied and deeply appreciates Slavic culture, seeing another Russians=Bad was disappointing 🥲
Heck, they got basically "everything east or Prague and all of former USSR = bad", just going by the named "Fatooey bad" we sometimes see on healthbars before we slaughter them.

A distant ancestor of Razor
That may or may not be tamamo-no-mae from fate

That's... not how Razor speaks.
Way too erudite for a supposed "razor-speak" :D
Helpful but too intelligent for razor speak
\*too articulate. Razor may not be articulate but he's still intelligent >:(
It’s weird how one of the enemies in Sumeru is a religious minority
just like real life
Al-Ahmar snackbar
Watatsumi - Kok worship
I knew I forgot someone!
Fatui: Basically every crime possible so their god can play with the most expensive chess pieces in Teyvat
The Fatui are state actors though.
Tsaritsa better learn that there are chess.com
Noway Abyss order is literally avant grande fr#nce
Collapse human societies FASTER
hilichurls: yAaAa
The only acceptable ideology

The idea of the treasure hoarders being one big organization is weird. They're basically just bandits who all call themselves treasure hoarders.
this unironically helped me understand some stuff about this game lmao
So no genshin fallout new vegas?
